Rurban Concept by Narendra Modi

Narendra modi has announced a project called rurbanisation and selected 50 towns for it. First let me explain what is Rurban concept.

Rurban in a word itself is a combination of two words Rural + Urban i.e. a town with spirit or soul of rural areas and facilities of urban areas.

At first look, concept looks fantastic, of course it is, but my concern is its implementation. From past records, no doubt he is capable of giving facilities of a city to a village but what about spirit of village ??

What is spirit of a village??

I know I am trying to define a thing which can only be felt but lets try ..

Major thing is, people are concerned about each other. In village there is apnapan among people. They celebrate for each other's success, they support each other in tough times.
Fresh air because of not that pollution and a lot of greenery.
Birds, animals and love for them. For ex.:- Dancing peacock. Dadi maa giving roti to cows.
Taste of chapati cooked on a chulha.
Eating together, mother serving the food.

Now lets think why this spirit is not there in cities ..

Root cause is, no one is having time in cities. Situation are so worse in major cities that parents are not having time for their children so there is no point talking about whether they will have time for neighbours or families.

Another cause is money mindedness, all they think about is money, how to earn more. So even if they are having time they are interested in earning more not caring their neighbours or families.

And being practical is an excuse eating all of their emotions. I am ashamed of saying they are becoming emotionless.

My question is can we save villages from these diseases giving all the facilities ??

If answer is yes then next question is how ??

Will they cook any more on a chulha when they will be provided a machine in which Rotis will be made automatically ??

Mentality is a thing we can't force to anybody and specially in a healthy democracy.

So, what is solution ??

Government should create an awareness department whose job will be to keep an eye on all the changes in behaviour of people when they are given facilities and aware them, educate them. Spiritual and moral education gonna play a major role.

All the solutions are invited, I will try they will reach to Gujarat government.

Baba Ramdev and his Demands

From last two weeks Baba Ramdev is in lime light, Some people are die hard fans of baba. Where as some people are against baba, but all are having an opinion about baba. Some are discussing about whether baba is fraud or its his publicity stunt or he is having political aims blah blah blah. And some are like We follow baba whatever he say is god`s words for us. Some have sympathy about baba that "whatever happened at the midnight was very wrong and against the democracy". But No one or very few cares to read Baba`s demands and what is their opinion upon those demands. So here my main focus would be on Baba`s demands , Whether his demands (Not he) are good for country or not.

First of all I will describe demands of baba :-

1. Tough Lokpal Bill, with a provision for death sentence for the corrupt, especially corrupt officials

2. Immediate return of all black money stashed away in tax havens abroad to the country

3. Declaring all wealth in foreign countries being held illegally by Indians as national property and charging those with such accounts under the sedition laws

4. Abolishing Rs.1,000 and Rs.500 currency notes

5. Disabling the operations of any bank which belongs to a country that is a tax haven

6. Replacing the British-inherited system of governance, administration, taxation, education, law and order with a swadeshi alternative

7. Reforming the electoral system to ensure that the Prime Minister is directly elected by people

8. Ensuring that all citizens declare annually their incomes

9. Bringing income-tax details under the Right to Information Act

10. Increasing substantially the Minimum Support Price of grains

11. Making wages of different categories of laborers uniform across the country

12. Revoking the Land Acquisition Act, as farmers should not be deprived of their land for industry

13. Promoting Hindi at the expense of English.

Now I will write my opinion about these demands

I am completely agree with first five demands, sixth demand is good but I can`t understand what are swadeshi Alternatives so I can`t comment.

However , I don`t agree with the seventh demand because I have seen condition of Jaipur Nagar Nigam Which is having mayor of different party and Board (Majority of Parshad ) of different party, its hard to a decision in such conditions.

I agree with 8 to 12 .

I think 13 th is possible if India becomes economic global power otherwise its impractical.

Today, I will explain how many members legislative council(Vidhan Parishad) of a state in India can have.

~ It has not more than one third of the total number of MLAs in the state.

~ Not Less than 40.

However, Legislative Council of Jammu and Kashmir has 36 members vide Section 50 of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir.

Today, I will explain how members of legislative council (vidhan parishad) of a state in India are elected.

1. One third(1/3) by MLAs among people who are not part of it.

2. One third by electorates(matdata). And Electorates includes members of municipalities, district boards and other local bodies in the states.

3. One-twelfth by electorate consisting of persons who have been, for at least three years, engaged in teaching in educational institutions within the state not lower in standard than secondary school.

4.One-twelfth by registered graduates of more than three years standing.

5. Remaining members are nominated by Governor from among those who have distinguished themselves in literature, science, art, cooperative movement and social service.

How to play sitoliya

Today, I will explain how to play sitoliya step by step. In maharashtra it is called lingorchya, pitthoo in haryana and lagori in karnataka.

Now how it is played:-

Accessories:-
1. 7 piece of stones. Stones should be such that we can make heap of them.
2. A Ball.
3. A ground.

Teams :- You can make two teams as many players can play it. just equally divide them. A minimum of six players will be good.

Step 1 :- Make heap of 7 stones in the center.

Step 2 :- From center, measure around 8 feet to mark line from where one of the team throw ball to the heap of stones.

Step3 :- Now 1 team will bat and other will field , decide it by toss or mutual understanding.

Step 4 :- 1 player of batting team will throw the ball and one player of fielding team will stand to catch the ball. And others will spread in the ground.

Step 5 :- batting team can not cross the boundaries otherwise they are out.

Step 6 :- Now player will throw the ball.

case 1:- opponent player catches the ball in one tip and stones are not destructed then player will be out next player will come.
case2 :- opponent player can not catch the ball and stones are also not destructed then he will get another chance up to 3 and after three chances he will out and next player will come.
case3 :- opponent player catches the ball and also stones are destructed then player will get chance from one.
case4 :- opponent player can not catch the ball and stones are destructed now the drama begins.

step 7 :- The aim of the batting team is to arrange stones back in the heap then shout sitoliya and fielding team is to hit the ball to batting player.

step 8 :- Fielding team can not run while having ball in the hand, they can pass the ball to their teammates.

step 9 :- If batting team is able to arrange stones back they will got one point and their all players who are out will alive again.

step 10 :- If fielding team is able to hit the ball to any one of batting team member then whole batting team will be out and fielding team will do batting.

step 11 :- The team which scores seven points first will be winner.

Following Skills are required to play the game :-

1. Throwing ball.

2. Escaping hit from ball if you are in batting team.

3. Arranging stones quickly if you are in batting team.

4. Distracting opposite team from the stones.

criteria for bpl family in kerala

Today, I will explain criteria to declare a family BPL in Kerala. Kerala has different criteria than other states.

In Kerala there are nine parameters and family which lack access of four or more parameters is declared as BPL.

Nine parameters for urban areas.

1. No land or less than 5 cents worth of land. (a cent equals to 1/100 acre or 40.468 meter square)

2. No House or dilapidated house. (tuta-futa ghar)

3. No sanitation toilet.

4. Family without color television.

5. No regular employed person in the family.

6. No access to safe drinking water.

7. Women headed household or presence of widow or divorced.

8. SC/ST

9. Mentally retarded or disabled member in the family.

Nine parameters for rural areas :-

Only 1 parameter is different color television criteria is replaced by "family with illiterate adult member".

Gilli Danda

Once upon a time there was a famous street game in the nation. That game was called Gilli Danda. My father used to play it in his childhood. I am not writing this post to make it popular once again, I am writing it just to keep a history.

Now how It was played. Take a look:-

Accessories :- 1. Gilli - 3 inches long 1 inch diameter at the centre

2. Danda - 2 feet long and 1-inch in diameter

From image gilli and danda are clear. Gilli is smaller than danda and tapered at both ends as you can see in the image.

Teams :- You can make two teams as many players can play it. Just equally divide them into two teams.

step 1:- Toss the coin. The team which wins it can select batting or fielding.

step 2:- A circle and hole made in the center from where batsman will bat.

step 3:- First player of team who is batting will bat and other team is spread in the ground to catch.

step 4:- Batsman lifts the gilli high in the air with the danda hitting the gilli at one end (tapered) and quickly strikes it.

case 1:- Batsman not able to strike the gilli in 3 continuous chance then he is out and next player of same team will come to bat.

case 2:- Batsman strikes the ball and fielder catches it before it touches the ground then also he is out and next player of same team will come to bat.

case 3:- Batsman strikes the ball and gilli not caught then distance is measured from the center to where gilli falls and each danda is equal to one point.

step 5:- Each batsman of first team bat and we total the points team scored.

step 6:- Now fielding team bat and batting team fields and the team which scores more points will win the match.

however, In every street there were different rules .

This is an article on police and common man.
Rajasthan police is having a slogan Apradhiyo me dar , aam admi me vishvaas . Now don`t start laughing. This is true. and if you not believe me then ask any rajasthani he will confirm it.

But what`s happening in rajasthan is just opposite of it. Aparadhi is having vishvaas that police will not take any action against us and by chance if they did so then just a bribe of rs 100 will save them.

and aam admi is having dar by the police. They even don`t want to go to police station. They say "In police valo se to na dosti achchhi hain na dushmani". And one of my friend says "Daakan to fir bhi ek ghar chhod deti hain ye police vale to vo bhi nahi chhodte".

Things should really change and policeman should make us believe that "we are also human like you only". and they should maintain the law. And aparadhi should be threatened.

Ten important suggestions for election

The article is taken from rasrang,dainik bhaskar. The cover story is from Aditya shankar dubey. I translated it into English. I may or may not agree with the suggestion. We will discuss about each point in the comments.
The suggestions are:-

1) Compulsory voting: The voting should be compulsory from gram panchayat to parliament.

2) Cancel public representative : People should be given right to cancel the selection of a public representative by voing if they are not satisfied by his work.

3) Elect party, not candidate : Voters elect their favorite party instead of electing a candidate and candidate of that party will be elected.

4)Fifty Percent votes are compulsory : To win a election the candidate must get fifty percent votes. If winner candidate has not got 50% vote then in next Stage election will be between first two candidate.

5)All elections together: All election whether gram panchayat or state or center should be done together.

6) If no party gets the majority in election then all party togther will form the government.

7) Control on number of parties : Election committee should operate the process of registration of party on the basis of their performance in the election. Election committee should increase The minimum number of primary member of a party.

8) Bail amount should be increased to control not serious candidates.

9) Only One Seat: Candidates must not allowed to contest election from more than one seat.

10) One Voter list: For all elections whther parliament or assemblies or else , Only one voter list should be used.

On 26 jan.when whole nation was celebrating 62nd republic day, at 8:00 PM somebody murdered a guy whose age was just around 31. He came with a purpose to loot him. The police was caught badly drunk. 1. By doing this kashmir`s peaceful environment will violated!!
If Gandhi, bhagat subhash chandra bose and many freedom fighters would have thought that by doing agitation or march , peace will violate in the country then we may not get freedom. What kind of peace they are talking about? Separatists are challenging us and we are behaving like a coward. We don`t need peace on the price of kashmir.

2. It is political drama!!
It may be the case, but then also the flag should be hoisted at lal chowk. What message you are giving to separatist?

3. Only BJP workers are patriotic!!
No, it is not the case. I am not a BJP worker but I am patriotic and then also I want to hoist the flag in the lal chowk. And I will welcome if prime minister on the behalf of whole nation hoist the flag in the lal chowk.

4. Why only Lal chowk?
Lal chowk is the place where all anti-national activities by the separatists are executed. It is a symbol to show them that we are alive. And we have not surrendered in front of you.

If they don`t allow to hoist the flag my heart will break.

How to apply for NREGA

Today, I will explain what is the process of registering to NREGA and how to get job from it.

NREGA is an Act to provide a legal guarantee of 100 days of wage employment
in a year to every rural household whose adult members volunteer to do
unskilled manual work. He/she will get the minimum wage rate notified for
agricultural labour in the State until the Central Government notifies a minimum
wage rate, which in any case shall not be less than Rs. 60 per day.

To Apply for the NREGA give an application to gram panchayat .

Panchayat will verify two things:-
1) are you an adult
2) are you belong to same village.

Then they will issue a job card for you (this should be done within 15 days) :-

Now to get employment you should submit application to the gram panchayat or programme officer(at block office). The demand has to be for at least 14 days of continuous work.
Not forget to take reciept from gram panchayat.
Then a letter from panchayat will come with information of your job. If your job is not within 5 km radius you will get allowance for it.
You will get your payment weekly.

Now also somebody will find out my religion in my name but I am requsting you all that I am Indian and India is my religion. I don`t live in India but India lives in me.

How president of India elected

The process of election of president of India is complicated and today I will explain it in very easy language and by examples.

The voters of the election are:-

1. MPs of Lok Sabha

2. MPs of Rajya Sabha

3. MLAs of vidhan sabha

The Value of vote of MPs and each MLA is different.

~ Finding Value of vote of MLAs

The value of vote of MLA depends state by state or we can say MLA of each state has different value of his vote.

Divide the total population of the state by Total seat in Vidhansabha of that state and again divide it by 1000 and the result will be the value of vote of MLA.

Ex:-

In Rajasthan Suppose total population is 5,64,73,122 and Number of MLA are 200.

5,64,73,122/200 = 282365.61

Again divide it by 1000

282365.61/1000 = 282.365

The value will be 282.

~ Finding Value of vote of MPs

Note:- The value of vote of MPs of Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha are same.

Now to find the value of vote of MPs

- Multiply the value of vote of MLAs in a state with number of MLA in that state(do it for each state)

In rajasthan it will be 282 * 200 = 56400

- Add them

- Divide it by total number of MPs (Lok Sabha + Rajya Sabha)

This will be the value of vote of MPs

The Voter will give the preference to each candidate.

It will look like :-

1. Bhairo singh shekhawat

2. Pratibha Patil

3. Ram Lal

4. Mohan singh

~ Now I will explain how counting is done …..

To win the election a candidate must get (total number of valid votes divided by 2) +1

Suppose candidate get first prefernce votes like:-

1. Bhairo singh shekhawat---- 5,250

2. Pratibha Patil --- ----------------4,800

3. Ram Lal---------------------------- 2,700

4. Mohan singh------- ------------2,250

Total Number of Valid votes = 5250 + 4800 + 2700 + 2250 = 15000

15000/2 = 7500

7500+1= 7501

So a candidate need 7501 votes to win the election, as you can see no one has got that

Now Last candidate will be out of the race and his votes will be distributed between remaining three on the basis of second preference.

Now Mohan singh is out of the race his first preference votes are 2250 now suppose in these 2250 ballot papers the second preference is recorded as :-

Bhairo singh shekhawat - 300

Pratibha Patil - 1050

Ram Lal – 900

These will be transferred and added to the first preferences in favour of 1, 2 and 3 as follows

A . Bhairo singh shekhawat.. 5,250 + 300 = 5,550
B Pratibha Patil.. 4,800 + 1050 = 5,850
C . Ram Lal-. 2,700 + 900 = 3,600

Now in the second count, therefore, C having obtained the last number of votes is eliminated and 3,600 votes secured by him are once again transferred to A and B in the order of third preferences recorded thereon.
Suppose the third preferences on the 3,600 ballot papers recorded in favour of A and B are 1700 and 1900 respectively the result of this second transfer would then be as under:

A Bhairo singh shekhawat. 5,550 + 1,700 = 7,250
B Pratibha Patil 5,850 + 1,900 = 7,750

Now Pratibha patil have votes more than 7501 so she wins.

As you can see in first preference Bhairo singh shekhawat was ahead but at last Pratibha patil wins.
