This week I keep on going with photos taken in Dalí Museum that started here and continued here.

There is something about how Dalí handles the metal in his sculptures that I really like. Probably that’s one of the things that I like the most about his work.

As I told you last week the visit to several museums this year had given me a deeper understanding of Dalí and his work, and increased my love for his sculptures. Up to this point I've never seen one of his lobster phones, and I really liked it.

Dalí I

In previous post I’ve posted pictures of Dalí sculptures because I really love his work (drawing, sculptures and everything in between). This year I had the opportunity to visit the Dalí museum in Paris and the exhibition in the Reina Sofía Musuem in Madrid. The one in Madrid was incredible, very comprehensive visit to his body of work, but the one in Paris was really shocking because I got to see things very different to what I knew of Dalí, but most important, I got to take pictures of some of his sculptures, that I’ll share here and in the coming weeks.

Sorry, the light is less than ideal, and I didn't have a tripod at hand, so please bear with me.

I think this will be the last of this series that I share (at least for a while). Not only the bark is interesting, but the lights and shadows add something.

So, this week we continue with the Bark Project, the photos I've been sharing are all in color, but the idea I had (still think is the best) is to get them printed in a large format in B&W, obviously every photo has to be judged on a case by case basis because you never know until you have seen it processed (as I recently learned when I was looking for some photos for my home).

I've told you abut my long standing obsession with trees, and I have shared a few photos of trees, but for a long time I've been capturing barks, they have a really interesting texture and with the right light you can get some very interesting photos.

Last time I was in Madrid I went to an exhibition in the Velazquez Palace of a Brazilian artist that I completely forgot (and haven't been able to find). The exhibition was quite nice and colorful but this one room really got me (at least for a few minutes util I found out what it really was about).

I have stated before that I have a recurring theme with trees, but this photo isn't my usual kind of composition, but the summer light was interesting enough to try this, and also I was just relaxing in El Retiro Park in Madrid waiting to return home, so taking pictures was a great way to kill time.

Las Ventas

A month ago I went back to Spain for an intensive course, part of the MBA program. It was very interesting and allowed me to revisit Madrid with a better weather. Lovely city.

Part of the milestones that I missed the first time around was Las Ventas, the bullfight arena. I have very mix feelings about this bulding since I don't like bullfights but Las Ventas is really beautiful and part of the culture of Spain.
