Could Beyoncé Be Pregnant with Baby Number 2?

2013-05-14T23:16:00.000+01:00

In what's probably the biggest celebrity rumor we've heard in a while, he New York Post is reporting that sources inside the music industry are abuzz that Beyoncé is pregnant with baby number two. Of course, expectant celebrities rumors tend to fly no matter what, especially since Queen Bey just gave an interview to ABC News in which she shared that she definitely wants to have another child.

"I would like more children," the singer said. "I think my daughter needs some company. I definitely love being big sister."

After her appearance at the Met Gala a week ago in a belly-concealing Givenchy gown, it wouldn't be all too surprising if the singer is once again pregnant with husband Jay-Z's child-although we can't imagine she'd plan her second during this hectic time, as she's traveling the world for her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, which concludes in New York in August.

Woman Disfigured In An Attack Reveals New Face

2013-05-01T22:03:00.002+01:00

A Vermont woman revealed her new face Wednesday, six years after her ex-husband disfigured her by dousing her with industrial-strength lye, and said she went through "what some may call hell" but has found a way to be happy.

Carmen Blandin Tarleton of Thetford had face transplant surgery at Boston's Brigham and Women's Hospital in February and spoke publicly for the first time at a news conference at the hospital Wednesday.

"I'm now in a better place, mentally and emotionally, than I ever could have imagined six years ago," Tarleton said. "I want to share my experience with others, so they may find that strength inside themselves to escape their own pain."

In 2007, the 44-year-old mother of two was attacked by her now ex-husband Herbert Rodgers, who believed she was seeing another man. Police say he went to the house looking for that man, then went into a fury directed toward Tarleton, striking her with a bat and pouring lye from a squeeze bottle onto her face.

When police arrived, Tarleton was trying to crawl into a shower to wash away the chemical, which had already distorted her face.

Righter said that after meeting Tarleton for the first time Tuesday, she felt overjoyed for the first time in a long time.

I’m an epileptic, so I’m prone to seizures -- Lil Wayne

2013-05-01T21:34:00.000+01:00

Lil Wayne, Grammy-winning rapper, as reports claim he suffered another seizure and was rushed to a hospital this week. Despite the scare, Wayne only spent a few hours in a Los Angeles hospital where he received treatment. Sources close to Wayne said that the rapper was taken to Cedars-Sinai in L.A. late Tuesday night by his bodyguards, and that he suffered a single seizure and was treated and released early this morning.

“The thing is, man, the bad news is, I’m an epileptic, so I’m prone to seizures,” he said. “This isn’t my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh seizure. I’ve had a bunch of seizures; y’all just never hear about it. This time it got real bad because I had three of ‘em in a row, and on the third one, my heart rate went down to, like, 30 percent. Basically, I could’ve died soon. That’s why it was so serious. The reason being for the seizures is just plain stress, no rest and overworking myself. That’s typical me, though.”

Kenny Ogungbe, Tony Okoroji, Exchange Words At Nigeria Entertainment Conference

2013-05-01T11:23:00.003+01:00

Kenny Ogungbe, CEO Kenny's music, and Tony Okoroji, Chairman of Copyright Society of Nigeria COSON, was nearly marred by violent exchange of words, in Nigerian Entertainment Conference held over the weekend at the Grand ball room of the Eko Hotel and suites, Victoria Island.
Tony Okoroji had confronted Kenny Ogungbe in the presence of journalists for daring to say in public that COSON owed him, Kenny Ogungbe money.
“How could he say such a thing? And in public?”, Okorogie fumed.
Kenny Ogungbe and Okoriji shortly before the exchanges Kenny Ogungbe on his part remained resilient, insisting he would stand by his words. They exchanged hot, abusive words impossible to publish including the F*** word as they were pulled apart by concerned friends who feared the brawl may soon go physical.
Kenny Ogungbe went on to say “After now, if anything happens to me, it is on your head”.

The incident happened immediately after the first session of the conference where Kenny Ogungbe had been amongst a panel of discussants along side Cool DJ Jimmy Jat, Sound Sultan, MI and Weird MC during which pertinent industry issues had been raised.
The panel before taking questions from participants discussed “Looking at the music scene through the eyes of talents, labels, investors, consumers, regulatory bodies. The role of an artiste in the digital age and lastly, surviving in a peculiar industry like Nigeria.
However Weird MC in her opening had raised questions on the “exploitation of our works”. She noted that the music industry is no longer about just entertainment but a business that should be accounted for. She claimed that music properties of artistes were being exploited with no form of payments made as settlements.
Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) is Nigeria’s sole government approved collective management organization for musical works and sound recordings. Weird MC specifically asked the society if they had any kind of international affiliations with international music copyright regulatory bodies to help check the exploitation of works put out by Nigerian artistes.
According to her “We need to address the International Affiliations involved cause this is a business.
Kenny Ogungbe had stepped out after the panel to re-emphasis these statements made by Weird MC to reporters before making the comments that infuriated Okoroji.
After the heated argument, both were too angry to speak further on the testy issue.

Ex Gov Akala, Snatched His SSG, Layiwola Olakojo's Wife

2013-04-30T22:47:00.004+01:00

Chief Olakojo is regarded as one of the most experienced politicians in the State who enjoys a considerable followership in the state's political set-up and has participated in different governments both as the SSG to ex-Governor Ladoja and later Chief Bayo Alao-Akala.
During the high point of Governor Akala's administration, Chief Olakojo who was in his late 70's did the unusual and married a very young beautiful wife who was in her early 20s.
They had a big wedding ceremony which was attended by all the political bigwigs in the State then.
However, the robust relationship being enjoyed by Chief Olakojo and ex-Governor Akala ended when the Governor was being hounded by the EFCC and arrested his SSG, Chief Olakojo. It was revealed that the old man who couldn't endure the hard measure and feared what would become of his political life squealed on some activities of his boss, and that spelt long years of rift between the two politicians.
Recently the former SSG's marriage to his youngest wife was rocked with a big crisis that led to the wife moving all her things out of his house.

Sources revealed that Chief Olakojo now lives alone in his country home in Oyo town. It was revealed that ex-Governor Akala was the mastermind of the break-up in Chief Olakojo's marriage. Those in the know claimed that the ex-Governor has been in close contacts with Oyin during his days as a Governor when the wife used to visit him and report Chief Olakojo's frugality and she gets cash gifts from the Governor.
Akala pampered Olakojo's wife so much that the beautiful lady couldn't resist the advances the former governor eventually made. The source informed us that Akala and the woman began to have sexual relationship on a regular basis.
It was also revealed that during one of their secret rendezvous, Akala convinced her to move out from her matrimonial home. The source revealed that the young woman who already had a child for Chief Olakojo left her husband's home with the child and Akala relocated her to America where she now lives.
“It was so funny the way Oyin left Chief Olakojo. She had earlier told Chief she wanted to travel to America, but Chief asked her to wait for some days, that he wanted to do some things in India. He promised to take Oyin to America when he comes back from India. Chief traveled to India, but unknown to him Oyin has her own plans,” an insider said.
The source revealed that Oyin, through the help of Akala perfected all her traveling papers, while the husband was in India.
“She went into Chief’s room, took 20,000 dollars out of the 100,000 dollars she saw and the funny aspect was that it was the day Chief Olakojo landed at the airport that Oyin also boarded a United States bound flight. They were probably at the airport at the same time. While the husband was at the arrival lounge, the wife was at the departure,” the source added.,
The recent development was said to have sparked off a new row between the two politicians, as Olakojo has been reporting the matter to all the influential people in the state. Chief Olakojo was said to have threatened to end Chief Akala's political career and his recent activities has pointed to that direction.
The former SSG has been at the forefront of the move to reconcile ex-Governor Ladoja with other PDP chieftains and he has been engaging in different activities that exhibit his agony, and hatred towards his ex boss.

Monalisa Chinda, nollywood actress, Port Harcourt, Rivers State-born, regrets her marriage to Dejo Richards, which packed up few years ago due to some irreconcilable differences .
While she alleged that Dejo physically abused her in the marriage, those in the camp of her ex-husband denied that, alleging that she caused the seperation.

Dejo has since married another woman, Monalisa has remained unmarried, though she was recently romantically linked with Lagos socialite, Lanre Nzeribe. The relationship is being kept under the carpet with none of the two denying or confirming the romance tale.

Monalisa confessed her regrets having to raise the only product of her marriage which produced Tamar, a beautiful daughter.
According to her, “one thing I regret most is the fact that I am divorced. That's the only thing I regret, having to raise my child without the father,” she said.
She further added that, “it is a bit painful. But I have to live with it. It's better that way than to expose my little daughter to all sorts of domestic violence. It will definitely affect her upbringing. She will be dis-functional. God knows the best. Maybe, I should have been more careful.”

Saka's Sudden Switch To MTN From Etisalat

2013-04-30T22:20:00.002+01:00

Many Nigerians were surprised last week to learn about the switch of popular comic actor, Hafiz Oyetoro better known as Saka, as an advert model of Etisalat mobile network to one of its biggest rivals, MTN.
Saka had been popular as a model with Etisalat, especially with the series of adverts he did for them. So, it was surprising for the people to see the actor-cum-lecturer pitching his tent with another network.
His comic delivery of the adverts campaigns for Etisalat had endeared him into the hearts of the people with his unique way of delivering his messages on television screen and radio. Saka, who happens to be one of the best comic actors in Nollywood, has won many awards in recent years.
A leading mobile service network, MTN engaged Saka through its agency, DDB to promote the new Mobile Number Portability (MNP) system recently launched by the NCC.
MTN employed the services of Saka to achieve its campaign of attracting customers, a move that has been described as a coup for Etisalat, which had been using Saka as its brand ambassador for about two years.
According to reports, MTN parted with about N20 million to Saka, which this was far from what Saka was getting from Etisalat as brand ambassador for the network for two years.
Saka wasn't really a brand ambassador for Etisalat, he was only paid for any advert he did for them. Most of the time, he got a one-off pay for an advert campaign. He wasn't contracted as a brand ambassador for the network, unlike the deal he reportedly signed for MTN, which is worth N20 million.

2013-04-30T22:05:00.000+01:00

Foluke Daramola is getting ready to sue her former friend and journalist Bukola Fasuyi for defamation of character.
Bukola had claimed in an interview that she introduced Foluke to her new husband, Kayode Salako, and that Foluke had used juju to charm Kayode and break his home.
According to people close to Foluke, she and some family members have contacted their lawyer to sue Bukola for character assassination. Bukola will soon appear in court to prove that Foluke indeed used diabolical means to obtain Kayode Salako.
Bukola told an Encomium reporter this week that she's not bothered about a lawsuit and is waiting to get the petition from Foluke's lawyers. She said she still feels bad for introducing Foluke to Kayode because the introduction was for Foluke to get financial help from Kayode and not to take him from his wife.
"I'm not bothered about a lawsuit though Kayode has sent a threat message to me that we would meet in court. I'm more bothered about Kayode's wife. I hope she forgives me" She said.

Man jailed 45 years for stealing Gov Aregbesola’s N50k phone

2013-04-30T16:25:00.000+01:00

Kevin Ighodalo, 31years, has been sentenced to 45 years imprisonment by an Osogbo High Court for stealing a Sony Ericsson phone said to be worth about N50,000 belonging to Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State.

Ighodalo stole the phone from the pocket of Aregbesola on November 27, 2010, when the governor was being inaugurated at Government Technical College, Osogbo.

Justice Oyejide Falola, who heard the case, found Ighodalo guilty on six counts, which included conspiracy, stealing and fraud.

He was sentenced to 10-year imprisonment for the first three counts and five years for each of the last three which included impersonation, obtaining property by falsehood and collusion.

Falola, who ruled that Ighodalo deserved the jail term, held that the convict used the phone to obtain N500, 000 from the Owa of Ilesa, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran, while he obtained N200, 000 from Shengen Rahman, an associate of the governor.

The jail term, which Falola pronounced will run concurrently, means that Ighodalo will spend the next 10 years behind bars.

Assistant principal state counsel, Biodun Badiora, told the court that the convict had served six-year imprisonment in Ikoyi prison custody in connection with a murder case in 2005.

Counsel to Ighodalo, Ameachi Ngwu, prayed the court to commit him to community service, stressing that the convict should not be incarcerated but rather be placed where people could see him as a convict.
