The only cricketer now, who is desperate enough to make it to the Indian squad is none other than our very own Suresh Raina. Having spent time in the Netherlands with his wife Priyanka and his little bud Gracia. Raina did a surprise visit to his former coach and the world cup winning indian coach Gary Kirsten in Netherlands with his U17 Team.

We all know Gary played a significant role in the growth of Raina's career. And he was the reason for Raina's success in the 2011 World cup.

For the past few days, Raina seems to be more cautious in his fitness as he was also posting several GYM workouts in his offical instagram and twitter handles.

Shifting about on his chair, Dhoni asked the journalist to take the seat next to him on the dias. Eyebrows shot up, some uneasy laughter started when Dhoni said, “come here, let’s have some fun. I am serious, come here.”

Dhoni put his hands over the journalist’s shoulder and started a tete-a-tete for public consumption. It was quite something.

“Do you want me to retire?” Dhoni was just warming up. “No, I don’t. I was just asking,” replied the journalist. The room was filling up with laughter. Some began to whip out their phone cameras to record.

Dhoni then reiterated his hope that it would be an Indian journalist. “I was hoping it was an Indian media guy because I can’t really ask you if you have a son or a brother who is a wicketkeeper.” The Australian waited that out.

“Do you think I am unfit?” This wasn’t a trick question and the Australian could answer it simply, “No.”

Dhoni continued with the question, “Looking at me running?” “Very fast,” the Australian had smartly decided to stick to facts.

“Do you think I can survive till the 2019 world cup?” This seemed like a trick question and that this point, one had begun to wish it was indeed an Indian journalist out there. There were a few in the room who would have answered this differently. The journalist in the hot seat went, “Yes sure.”

Tapping him on the shoulder, Dhoni went for his money shot.

“Then you have answered the question.”

I Love Dada and hate MSD Possible?

Hey there! You are wondering why the post header reads like that, You might be in a place where I am today being aside a MSD hater, Ya its true I have a friend who is a Dhoni hater and a Dada fan.I wonder how someone from his homeland can hate his own team Captain.

Myth: Dada fans are MSD haters!

I always heard people say this! Do you think the same? If you do, its not true. Being a Dada fan one cannot hate MSD. Even after the exit from WT20 few days back in Mumbai. Dada praises MSD in a recent interview.

"He (Dhoni) has been a great captain for India. Nobody is perfect and I think he has been great..."

Before #WT20 Dada met MSD and shared his experience in Instagram.

"Met MS Dhoni a few days back at the Eden Gardens. He was telling me that his next goal is to make India win its 2nd T20 World Cup. When everyone is writing this man off, he is very silently pushing himself for all of you to make you guys proud yet again. This legend is a fighter. If he is thinking so much about your happiness, about making you proud even after he has done that on a number of occasions, all you can do is at least stand by your captain's side when he requires your support! Believe in Dhoni. He has fought many odds in the history, he will fight this as well!"

Even I am a die hard fan of Dada who jumped in joy when we defeated England in their home turf winning the Natwest series with Dada taking off his shirt in the Lord's Balcony! If you are a MSD hater and you say I love Dada that is not acceptable since your idol praises the other one more often than not. So, It is high time that you change your mentality are stop saying "I love Dada and hate MSD" that is "Impossible"

It has been 5 years now when we heard Ravi Shasthri said the statement "And Dhoni finishes off in style, Magnificent hit over long off, India lift the world cup after 28 long years..." As we are celebrating our 5th year anniversary of winning the World cup 2011. This is what Dada said about MSD after TeamIndia won the world cup

"Dhoni is the greatest captain of our country. His record is proof of that. Under Dhoni, India have won the Twenty20 World Cup and the Asia Cup. Under him, India have become the No. 1 ranked side in Test cricket. And now, we have won the World Cup. Obviously, he is the greatest ever captain to lead India."

And have to say that not only during the good times Dada spoke about Dhoni, he also backed him when Mahi led TeamIndia lost the series recently in Australia. He reckons it's unfair to blame the skipper for India's series loss against Australia and showed his support through an instagram post.

"Another series loss.. Another chance to blame the skipper! . What more can you ask from him? . This guy wants to bat up the order but he can't because there is not enough experience when it comes to the lower order.. . So he continues as a finisher.. Continues doing the dirty job.. . And still manages it brilliantly! . Getses a quickfire 23.. . Then keeps the wickets exceedingly well.. . Leads his side with utmost passion and dedication! . No way, is what I will say. MSD has atmost respect for senior players, especially for Dada. You cannot find him more active in Social Networking sites but if he does it is only for a special person. That is what he did, when he shared a old picture with Dada and shared his Birthday wishes.

The main objective of this post is not to pin-point someone, the thing is one cannot hate a fellow player and be a fan of another one!

And "Hate" is not a simple word! Be very serious when you say that you hate a person!

Dhoni is his name. lets see how genuine this guy is, to be more precise My Role Model is.

When team needs him to play as a bashing/dashing bully at the top. He accepted it and did played at the start without bothering about his own career and scored quick runs at the top.

When team goes through a rough patch losing the 2007 50 over world cup. Everyone needed a change, They were in need of someone who can lift the team's confidence and help them play their natural innings again.

And one man stood up and accepted the challenge, not as a player but as a Captain to lead in the inaugural T20 world cup in South Africa with a bunch of young talented lads.

He himself is new to handle the pressure of big tournaments and more importantly captaining the Indian team is not a joke, it is tough and you are carrying the dreams of billion fans around the globe Who are chanting 'INDIA, INDIA' and cheering for you all the time.

And there is media who does the same when you win and also very much ready to question your temperament at the time of defeat.

Rahuld Dravid once mentioned this statement about MSD, 'He used to give fielding advices and suggestions when he is new to the team...'.

He can stand with a tail ender for 2 hours to save a match for India.

When comes to fitness no one is better than this man. He used to take rest only when he wanted to give young captains to have a glimpse of the pressure he handles. That helped players like Virat, Raina to have some good expereience under their belt.

Dhoni is a genuine team player.

To prove the above line. one incident is enough. The time when he acted as a 12th man and carried drinks to his boys. It is not manadate for a captain to carry that but, he did that. Simply because, He is MSD

He is the one who changed the culture of Indian fans Who used to switch off their Television sets when Sachin is gone.

Suresh Raina ties knot with childhood friend Priyanka

Our Player Suresh Raina will be starting a new career in his life as he gets ready to marry at a star-studded function at Delhi's The Leela Palace hotel on Friday. And the cricketer happily reveals that his dream girl Priyanka Chaudhary has been chosen by his mother.

"The best thing is that the match has been decided by my mom," Raina told The Times of India at an event organised by the cricketer's friend to wish him for his married life.

Suresh Raina and Priyanka, the bride and groom Priyanka, Suresh Raina's bride,has completed her BTech Krishna Institute of Engineering and Technology (KIET), Ghaziabad. She is the youngest daughter of her parents. They are basically from Baraut, UP. However, the family currently is based in Meerut.

How Suresh met Priyanka

Raina said he and Priyanka are childhood friends but haven't stayed in touch often. "I have known Priyanka for long, but in the middle, I didn't have time to be in touch with her. I remember meeting her at the airport for five minutes in 2008. She was flying back to Holland (where she currently works) and I was going to Bangalore for an IPL game, and we met at the Delhi airport for just five minutes. Usse pehle main usse bachpan mein mila tha (before that we met during our childhood).

"Priyanka's father was my sports teacher in Ghaziabad and my mom was very close to her mother. I'll call it more of an arranged marriage because our families have known each other for a long time," he said.

How the marriage got fixed

"I was in Australia for the last five months. Mamma ne sab fix kiya hai (mom took all the decisions)," Raina told TOI. I didn't know. Mom called me in Australia and told me that my marriage has been fixed with one of my childhood friends. Maine kaha kaun hai (I asked who is the girl).

Then I spoke to Priyanka on the phone. Before the World Cup, I had told some of my team-mates about my wedding after my mom told me that everything had been finalised.

Marriage and a cricketer's life

Cricketers ki life bahut hectic hoti hai (life of a cricketer is very hectict) because there is so much of travelling involved," he said. "I met Priyanka recently after the World Cup for just half an hour."

Back to work after marriage and then honeymoon

"I want her to focus on her career. We won't get much time together, so I will be going to Holland later. For the honeymoon, we are planning to go to Milan after the IPL," Raina revealed.

Priyanka loves football, not cricket

"She doesn't know much about cricket. She is a great soccer fan. She is a huge fan of Messi and Robin van Persie. She loves me for what I am and not because I am a cricketer. She is a very nice girl and I love her," he told us.

"My designer has given me a sherwani and there is a lehenga that will be worn by Priyanka for the wedding. I am excited. It was very important that it (marriage) happens at this stage.

If No CSK, then No more IPL

The Complete Picture: The Supreme Court on Thursday observed Chennai Super Kings (CSK), an IPL team owned by suspended BCCI chief N Srinivasan's company India Cements, should be suspended without "further inquiry"

"Who is controlling Chennai Super Kings?" the bench asked, directing that India Cements chief N Srinivasan declare before it all shareholding patterns in the company as well as the sport franchise.

"Why didn't the BCCI disqualify CSK? How can you say there is no comflict of interest?" the apex court asked.

According to IPL rules, if a team official is found indulging in corrupt activities like betting and match-fixing, the franchise can be terminated.

A probe panel headed by former judge Mukul Mudgal has said in its report that Meiyappan was a team owner and indulged in betting and sharing team information. BCCI judges have urged the Supreme Court to let the Board appoint a commission and punish the guilty.

Our reaction to this probe:

Players are not repsonsible for the above trail. If there is any such things proved go ahead and sack CSK but here owner is the culprit, then in this case, find the chennai team a new, better and clean franchise to own.

Phillip Hughes - Rest in Peace

A sad day for the Cricketing world. As our fellow player has passed away.

Australia team doctor Peter Brukner said he never regained consciousness and died in hospital in Sydney.

He had CPR and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation before being taken to hospital and placed in an induced coma.

In a statement, Peter Brukner said: "It is my sad duty to inform you that a short time ago Phillip Hughes passed away. He never regained consciousness following his injury on Tuesday.

"He was not in pain before he passed and was surrounded by his family and close friends.

"As a cricket community we mourn his loss and extend our deepest sympathies to Phillip's family and friends at this incredibly sad time.

"Cricket Australia kindly asks that the privacy of the Hughes family, players and staff be respected."

"He has lost his form" says one group of haters."

"He was never a batsman" says another bashing."

"He should let go off captaincy" says the final blow."

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the skipper who got us two World Cups: Maiden T20 and ODI 2011 World Cup should resign because team failed to perform well during a bad patch; I said team because you can very well look up his average during the recent series.

He was the lone warriors trying to cope up against English pace and Pakistan spin, he had a partnership with almost all players in the team: right from middle order to tail order.

Dhoni has proved his mettle both as a batsman and captain time and over again, remember World Cup final? And as far his captaincy is concerned, luck alone cannot get us Number One spot!

Speak of injuries and fatigue, he has sparsely shown signs of them. No injury stopped him from running that lighting fast single or never did he turn down a run from his partner owing to fatigue. Remember, he played an innings against Pakistan in Chennai with flu!

And half people calling him unfit are not even fit enough to walk down the pitch he runs across.So, let's cheer up the last man who stood up for Team India always...

And here's hoping Team India performs rather than expecting a team's total from our Captain Cool!

Winning T20 World Cup is Critical - Ashwin

With World T20 tournament just 2 days away Indian Team premium Spinner and Carrom Ball Specialist Ravi Ashwin said winning the World cup is “critical” for the team after last year’s Test reverses in England and Australia.

“We won the 2007 World Cup and then this format has eluded us. We didn’t do well in the last two World Cups. Now to put in faith and win this World Cup is critical for the team, in the sense that we have done a good job but over the last one year we had tough time in Australia and England. To resurrect that and actually to do a good job here is important to everybody,” Ashwin said.

Ashwin, who will turn 26 on Monday (Wish him), said that winning the tournament would be a long process.

India start their campaign against Afghanistan on September 19.

“Winning this World Cup is a long process. It is a 20-day long tournament and it is going to be another five-six days before the tournament begins. We actually get in to the tournament with a couple of practice games and drawing as many positives as possible is very crucial for the team.

“... so from there we will take it on. Definitely at the back of mind everybody knows that it is a very crucial tournament for us,” he said.

The Chennai lad, who returned with a rich haul of 18 wickets from the just concluded two-match Test rubber against New Zealand at home, said it will be a test for the bowlers to switch from the longer format of the game to the shorter one.

“We have started (preparing) for the World Cup three-four days back. We have been playing Test cricket and now we have to switch over to this tournament. The good thing is that we have got a week’s time in Sri Lanka to prepare for the World Cup.

“It is a mind switchover and physical switchover for the bowlers in terms of lengths, lines and the amount of variations they have to bring into the game. This particular preparation would be ideal for us,” Ashwin said.
