Here are Descendents at Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, Texas 2010. Pro-shot, black and white. Seems like this might have been filmed for possible incorporation into Filmage? Just a guess.

Whenever I need advice or guidance on an issue, I'll ask someone I respect, be it a mentor, a friend or my wife. Bouncing ideas off of other people always helps me through the thought process. But when it really comes down to it, I know I can always trust my instinct

Picked up the 2013 reissue of Nick Drake's 1970 album, "Bryter Layter." I opted for the box set edition, which is more than double than what the standard version goes for. And really, you don't get that much more bang for your buck. Here's what is inside the box set: The box itself is very sturdy. The extras are pretty skimpy and include: A replica of a set list A double-sided concert

Here is drummer Dave Lombardo performing at Yankee Stadium with Slayer on September 14, 2011. I love how close up this is and how hard Dave wails. And then the camera pulls back and you see... Yankee Stadium.

Here are some pics and vines from Delaware Fun-A-Day that happened on Friday, May 3, 2013 in Wilmington, DE. The goal of the event was to invite people to create art of all styles and aptitude and have fun. One of my favorite things was a bunch of different tip signs that used pop culture references: They even included a Descendents reference! I really dug Jason Olney's

Take one of the greatest performers of all time and a bunch of dogs and make a movie out of it. That's what Charlie Chaplin did in 1918 in "A Dog's Life." Chaplin wrote, produced and directed this film which co-stars Scraps.

"In 1979, Black played their first show at Moose Lodge 1873 in Redondo Beach, California. Last night, more than 34 years later, Flag – a group comprised of former members Keith Morris (vocals), Chuck Dukowski (bass), Dez Cadena (guitar/vocals) and Bill Stevenson (drums), with Descendents/All guitarist Stephen Egerton – played the same venue to an invite-only crowd of less than 200 people." -

It is true that Gloss Drop is a bewitching, entrancing album that defies both categorization and easy analysis. Just as Mirrored was a massive leap on from the early EPs that first got them noticed, this is truly another seismic shift, propelling them once more into uncharted territory. It is a sheer sense of fun, unpredictability and inventiveness that sets Battles apart from every other
