#Nutrisystem Week 3 Results #NSNation

I'm now nearing the end of Week 3 of my Nutrisystem plan! So, week 3 has been a little frustrating despite really not deviating too much from the diet plan.

I really didn't deviate very much this week and was happily full with my Nutrisystem meals + the veggies I add on the side. However, my weight just kept hovering around the same range! And, well, I've gained a little weight.

The good news is that the SO will be joining me on my last 2 months of Nutrisystem so that he can lose some weight and also I can stay focused on my plan and do my best as well.

As promised...I'm revealing my starting weight. This makes me a bit nervous but a promise is a promise. I know some of you said I didn't look like I needed to lose weight but most of you probably think I weigh 120 or maybe even less. I had someone tell me they thought I weighed 100lbs...I wish! Haha...That's a little unrealistic! Anyways, week 3 was somewhat suboptimal but I'm happy that I didn't gain too much. Got to stay positive and look forward to next week!

Well, Blacksocks are a staple in every man's drawer, especially with dress shoes. Right? So I found a pretty neat site altogether whether you prefer a "sockscription" or buying however many pairs you'd like.

Blacksocks holds in their supplies fine PIMA cotton socks that are made in Italy, directly shipped from Switzerland, and are calf high. Colors available include black, navy, brown and gray. Sizes available range from XS (3-1/2-5) to size 14-15.5(XXXL) which means there's socks for feet of every size!

So I was a sent a knee-high pair of Urban Comfort, made from 75% organic cotton, for review and I gave them to the SO to wear. These are supposed to be tough and not wear out as quick so I'm quite eager to see how well they last. I know we've bought some $7-8 socks on sale from about $10 before and so these will make for good comparison. These end up reaching to slightly below the knees and were size large (sizes 8.5-10). Unfortunately, they were slightly big as my SO's feet are a bit smaller than that. Hopefully, they'll fit better after being washed as the label says fits true to size after wash. However, they do give a cool and comfortable feeling once on.

Prices are slightly pricey but I guess you're paying for higher quality socks so price is so-so but they do ship FREE direct from Switzerland and prices already include tax. They are slightly cheaper if you do a sockscription. I have to say I somewhat like the convenience of ordering them and then getting new socks every so often. The great thing about the sockscription is that you'll get the exact same pairs of socks so if you lose one or there's a hole in one, you can match it up with the new ones.

#AmazingMat #Review: Keep the dirt at the door

Are you sick of the dirt everyone tracks into your home? I am...let me tell you why. With two dogs who both love their walks, they step in all sorts of stuff when they're outside. My JR in particular loves all the grass/dirt and all that fun stuff. Did I mention, they also love to run? And so, on rainy days, mud, dirt, and all sorts of fun stuff gets stuck to their paws. What do they do when they get home? JR peels up and down the hallways and then ends up jumping into my bed. The baby Pom follows his big sis around except that he can't make it up to the bed. Err...so now I have all this dirt tracked everywhere!

Guilty party #2, my SO...he loves wearing his shoes indoors. Drives me crazy!! He wears these same shoes outside so all the garbage from outside gets tracked in. Hate it... So now that I've whined and complained, obviously, there's a solution right? You got it!

I have to admit I was slightly surprised by the plastic nature of the mat. LOL, my assumption was that a doormat is usually carpet-like in nature so I was very surprised when it came as a large plastic board. It still looks great though and I love the design I chose. The Amazing Mat has been quite pleasant to use and now I know the germs, bacteria, and dirt doesn't get beyond the door...well, the door mat!

So, its Valentine's Day coming up so let's share the love with the little ones. Similar to Build-a-Bear comes a creative concept that you can do at home, all by yourself. Your little ones will have such a great time with this. I actually think my nephews would fight for this one.
The idea with Wuggle Pets is that you bring them to life yourself. Having my very own Wuggles workshop makes me excited! I was sent the Starter Pack to review and look at all it comes with. 2 pets to create (Cuddly Puppy and Magical Unicorn Pets) with stuffing, magic dust, and personality charms! I love how you turn the crank on the Wuggle Fun Fill Factory to bring it to life. Then you can give your Wuggles their own personality such as brave, smart, caring and your Wuggles is born! All you have to do now is to name the Wuggles write his/her birth certificate!

This is a pretty neat toy/stuffed animal for the little ones aged 4 and up. Its fun and interactive toy, not to mention quite unique. You have a choice of 8 different Wuggles. I enjoyed how the backing was zippered so there was no need for you to sew up the Wuggles after putting the stuffing in. The fact that it comes with a clip was also pretty neat. Its a pint sized friend that you can carry with you after creating it. I should note that there's also a voice box option which you purchase separately so that you can record something you want and then put it in your Wuggle.

So, I got the chance to review ToiletTree's products before but its been upgraded!! ToiletTree LED Fogless Shower Mirror is their newest creation and well, its more of a deluxe upgrade. Want to know why? Read on!

It follows a similar concept to its predecessor. Meant to be easy to mount, fogless, and shatter proof for a lifetime. It still has the adjustable frame, a shelf and a newly improved squeegee to make things convenient for all of your family members. Let's move on to what's new. The mirror is now 20% larger by diagonal (9.5"x7.5"x1.5"), the outer rim of the mirror is lined with LED lights that have a high and low setting, and the batteries come included!

If you've never heard of this product, you don't have to worry about leaving crap sticking to your walls after the installation or when you want to take it off. It uses soft silicone adhesive that easily come off. Detach the mirror from the bracket and fill with hot water each time you take a shower.

I liked the old product but I love the new one. I complain about the lighting in my place all the time and having bright LED lights just makes it all the better. Now, I don't need to squint to see myself in the older version of this mirror.

Let's play with our #iphone in the water! #DryCase #Review

Let me tell you something...before you dunk someone's phone in water, tell them first? Or maybe not, or else they may just kill you. LOL! I had a lot of fun with this review and got in a lot of trouble too. I love travelling and it always kills me when I can't take pictures under water or chill on the beach with my phone/music because I worry about dropping it into the water. It happened to one of my buddies once. We were all on those water boats and driving around like maniacs trying to film the swirls we made in the gorgeous emerald colored water and "plop!" went his camera.

We were able to get it back but it was soaked and I can't remember if we were even able to get it to work again after it dried off. This is where Dry Case comes in. If we had it, the camera would've been waterproof up to 100 feet by the power of vacuum technology!

First, I tested out the vacuum seal for over 10 minutes to make sure that there was no air leak after everything was sealed. By the way, I used my SO's phone since I was using mine to take the pictures...LOL, bad mistake! Then I dunked it into about 1-2" of water in the sink and kinda left it there for a bit. But as you can see, the Dry Case vacuum seal stayed and no water got in. Someone was very upset at me for a bit because I used their phone...but was happy that nothing happened. :)

I love how the case is clear and so you can still play with your phone, camera or music player's touch screens and take pictures. There's also an armband that comes with it so you can keep the Dry Case secure on you. This is so sweet! I need to take this with me on vacation next time if my family doesn't steal it from me first! I would love to have a pair of their waterproof stereo headphones to go along with this!

#Nutrisystem Week 2 Results #NSNation

I'm now nearing the end of Week 2 of my Nutrisystem plan! Err, I am in love with my Nutrisystem Blender Bottle! Its just the most convenient thing. Measuring cup, drink mixer, portable bottle...all in one. Okay, now that I've gotten that out, let's get on with the progress.

OMG...this was amazingly good!

This week was much better. I am adhering more to the meals and adding appropriate foods. Let's say I'm getting more used to the smaller portions and eating at multiple times of the day. The small portions are now filling me and leaving me satisfied. I'm also drinking more water. When I first started, it'd be 5-6 glasses a day. Now, I'm average 8-10 glasses depending on the day. Water is a really good thing to keep you full in between meals. Not to mention, its 0 calories!

Current limitations? I was doing good all week until I hit yesterday when we decided to order BBQ and I had some ribs...I was initially losing 2+ lbs this week until that meal. Ahh, I must stick to my meals! Nutrisystem's food is surprisingly good. The SO at first didn't believe me, then he tried some and ended up liking it and started to eat some of it as well. Problem is, he's not actually on Nutrisystem so that leads to two problems: 1) he's eating my food and 2) the more important thing, he tempts me bad when he wants to eat KFC, BBQ Ribs, and all sorts of goodies. All while saying, he wants to lose weight too. The irony of it...LOL, if only he could do Nutrisystem with me. That would help tremendously!

They've also fixed my online tracking system to a point where my goals are now set properly and my starting weight is much closer to my beginning. :) So, I'm happy! Here's a recent picture of me in the Halloween costume I got this past year. This is the same size I was before I started Nutrisystem. How much do you think I weigh? I'm considering putting my actual weight down for you, maybe next week. Oh, and I've decided to go by the starting weight they've put in for me so that I don't have to do the calculations all the time since its not that big of a difference.
Week 1: -1.9lb
Week 2: -2.0lb
Current totals: -3.9lb

I love eggs, they are just so good and I love bacon too so when I went to the grocery store, Ithe SO and I were all hyped up to try Pillsbury's newest breakfast products. There's the choice of Egg Scrables or Grands! Biscuit Sandwiches.
Sadly, when we got to the store, they were having a sale and the Bacon and Cheese Biscuit sandwiches were all sold out. We ended up grabbing the Bacon and Veggies Egg Scrambles and a Sausage & Veggies Egg Scramble. So a quick briefing on Pillsbury's newest breakfast additions. Both Pillsbury Egg Scrambles and Grands! Biscuit Sandwiches are microvable and can be prepared in several minutes, made with fresh ingredients, some of which include Green Giant® vegetables. They each come in 3 different flavors:

Egg Scrambles comes in Bacon & Veggies Egg Scrambles, Sausage & Veggies Egg Scramblesm and Sausage & Egg Scrambles.Grands! Biscuit Sandwiches comes in Bacon & Cheese Biscuit Sandwiches, Sausage & Cheese Biscuit Sandwiches, and Ham & Veggies Biscuit Sandwiches.

Pop it into your microwave, making sure the bag is set upright, heat it up and its ready to go. It was relatively easy to make and although I was making it for the SO, my goodness, the smells and the melted cheese that was on the package when I was pouring the contents out made me drool. I stole a bite and needless to say, it was very delicious.

#Sensa -The Verdict...#Weightloss solution?

If you remember, I've been trying Sensa, a doctor-formulated weight loss system. If you want to read on my thoughts of my second week, you can read them here. As a quick refresher, I was sent 2 months supply of Sensa, a box of Sensa Quench, and a packet of Sensa Chews to try.
My SO has been "borrowing" the Sensa but I have been a little more conscious of trying to remember to use the sprinklers and try to put it on the table before we set down our food. Its all so I can remember to sprinkle for him. He enjoys the system as well but he's iffy towards the chews unlike me. He does, however, enjoy the pink grapefruit drink. In terms of weight loss, I always fluctuate around the 5lb mark every week and so to be consistently at one weight is a really hard feat for me. However, since I've started using Sensa, my progress to date is that I seem to be keeping off about 3lbs.

I was going to make the suggestion that the compartments shouldn't be equal sized because on a day to day basis, I feel that people often eat salty foods more than sweets. However, before I was set in my ways I decided to open up the container to see if they had already thought of that. Viola, check out the container. :) They already have a bigger salty compartment vs sweet.

To be honest though, based on their history and research done, it appears as though you will have to do the 6 month course to get maximum results. With 2 months supply, I really don't know how much one will lose or accomplish. At any rate, its not going to be the 30lbs that 6 month users are averaged to get. My final thoughts? The system is worth a try since you are able to eat the foods you want while suppressing your appetite; its really a unique type of "diet". It's nice to not have to restrict the type of foods and a 2 month free trial won't hurt either. However, if you are looking for sustained results, I think the 6 month program would be best.
