However if one of these dogs happens to come close to them, or you then you may see a change in temperament. Some dogs will only show dog-dog aggression when they are on a leash as they feel confined.

When it comes to simply being playful with other dogs this is natural for the well balanced dog particularly the pups. With careful observation though you can determine if your playful canine may have a tendency to become aggressive as they age. If you find your dog loves to nip and jump and wrestle with other dogs for example this is a normal behavior however if you find they don't seem to know when to stop or that their playmate has had enough then be extra diligent for watching for signs of aggression developing as they mature.

With dog-people aggression you are certainly going to be able to identify the signs if your dog lunges at a person or goes to bite them. There may be more subtle signs as well though that you must be in tune with. Also note that you dogs aggression towards people may not be all people.
