Shopping for Make up

Today bought some make up. It appeared that I had the wrong foundation it is funny I always go for a darker tone and it often hard to adjust after the summer tan comes off, but today found this Infallible L'Oreal Foundation in True Beige 130 and I love the coverage and the texture and the color is right for me.

The next is the lipstick from Make Up Factory - True Lip Color Line number 28. It is silky when applying and stays long on lips gives a nice mat touch and I love the color which is a bit darker and berrier that I usually buy - so a nice change.

Now considering if I need the light pink lip gloss for lighter more subtle look.

This is my favorite part of the Melancholia movie. I am not a big fan of Kursten Dunst but here she is a perfect embodiment of the darker sister, she has the talent of showing characters with a twist - everything seems to be perfect but then all of a sudden at all falls apart. My personal belief is that she should be banned from 'flat' roles like Spiderman’s girlfriend - but I guess that doesn't really count:). Just read the article in Wikipedia and found out that this movie has also originated from Trier's therapy sessions as well as the Antichrist. Incorporating something so personal as fear, not the distinct fear of something particular but the fear you might everyday and reflecting the question I guess we all have 'what is the point living?' means that most probably the movie will speak to the audience. Trier managed to channel it all through to the audience.

When I was watching Antichrist it had so much coded information especially on women and particularly fear of women that I was surfing the net trying to find any information that would decode those messages and finally stumbled upon this interview which does not decode it all but is quite informative.

The part with the female characters starts at 2:28 "the change in the female character is that I've actually now (let me use the word) penetrated the sex (female sex) in the sense that even they might be ... and evil they have become human beings. "I have the feeling that a lot of men if not all of them fear women. They fear because women are different and sometimes hard to understand and let’s face it we fear what we do not understand. I can't speak for Trier though :)

This is my first blog post and it all starts here with Tom Ford Visionaries and the mid-life crisis may be mine may be Tom Ford’s. I have the feeling and my midlife crisis is yet to come with my mid-thirties on the way, so focusing on art and fashion is the best way to make it pass you by. This movie spoke to me a lot and it appears that Tom Ford has this way to communicate through any medium he chooses be it fashion, movie or one on one with a camera.
