Gene Simmons' 'Family' faces a health scare

Gene Simmons and his family are coming back to A&E.

A fifth season of "Gene Simmons: Family Jewels," the reality show that follows the Kiss bassist and his family offstage, will launch March 21 at 9 p.m. with a one-hour episode.

The first show centers on Simmons' longtime love, Shannon Tweed, getting a health scare that forces the family to rally around her. The crisis is especially hard on Simmons, who is on tour with Kiss when he gets the news.

The new season will include a milestone - the show's 100th episode.

In his "Behind the Player" DVD, Frehley gives an intimate behind-the scenes look at his life as a professional musician, including rare video footage. Go behind the make-up and see the real Ace Frehley as he unmasks his guitar playing style and a behind-the-scenes look at his life. "Behind the Player" also includes rare live performances as well as in depth guitar lessons by Ace on the KISS classics "Cold Gin" and "Shock Me" and the new song "Pain in the Neck". Ace will lead you through the proper way to play these classics as well as the origins and inspirations of the songs.

"Video Tab" shows exactly how Frehley plays the tracks. The video-game-style animated tablature is similar to Guitar Hero, but shows how to play the tracks for real.

Watch the Spaceman perform with special guest musicians Matt Sorum (VELVET REVOLVER, GUNS N' ROSES), John 5 (MARILYN MANSON, ROB ZOMBIE), George Lynch (DOKKEN, LYNCH MOB), Chris Wyse (THE CULT), Tommy Clufetos (ROB ZOMBIE) and Scot Coogan (BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION).

Completing this ultimate black diamond are rare live footage, rare KISS photos and a documentary about Ace.

Jonah Rocks was invited by Kiss drummer Eric Singer to be his guest at the Kiss soundcheck and concert. Eric took Jonah up on stage to check out his drum kit. Thank You Eric, Paul, Tommy, and Gene, it was wonderful to meet you guys. Also a big thanks to Kiss management, security, and all of the Kiss crew, you guys are the best. Jonah will never be the same. LOL. Jonah loves you Eric!

Hey Detroit....
Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond my control, we won't be able to hang out at Cobo Hall one last time next week......... BUT.........the good folks at the Hard Rock Cafe in downtown Detroit have offered to host my Anomaly Autograph Session on Saturday, Sept 19th at 9pm...... We moved it back an hour so all my friends at the Alice Cooper show that night can make their way to the Hard Rock for an aftershow signing party with me..... Don't worry, I ain't going anywhere!!!!........ Hope to see all my friends from Detroit Rock City there... It's going to be a special night!!!!
I also want to get everyone up to speed with my schedule next week...

While on the subject of Kiss, haven't you been in correspondance with Gene Simmon's recently due to a certain website?

Yeah, I did a website http://www.dsn.co.uk/osirinprophecy/ proving that Kiss are actually reincarnated Egyptian Gods. Check it out, it’s quite funny. Gene didn’t really see that side to it, and wrote to me saying I should 'get a life'. I wrote back and told him I was just trying to help him out a bit with some profile building. He then took the time to explain humour to me which was nice and told me to lighten up a bit. Dontcha love Americans? I wonder if he’s going to like our new record?
