Wow, so it has been how long since I've posted? Well by count way to long! Hey guys so I've finally decided to get back on here and rejoin the blogging world! If you followed my blog at anytime you would recall that it was my friend (Ana Arredondo) and I (Rafael Romo). Unfortunately since we graduated High school and we have both moved our separate ways but remain friend. I (Rafael) will now be blogging' solo.

So a little a bit of where I am now. I no longer live in lodi anymore, thank god, and have moved this little city called Los Angeles, perhaps you may have heard of it? I live in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles and absolutely love it. I am going to school at FIDM, The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, pursing a degree Associate of Arts in Fashion Design. I couldn't be happier and enjoy every moment of it. Living in L.A. and going to a Fashion school has so many perks. For example, recently I was invited to attend the Lookbook Launch Party for Rebecca Minkoff's denim collection, that was absolutely fabulous. I was also able to attend Blood is the New Black Launch Party for the new clothing line at Space 15 twenty, which was just as fun! Now that im back here I'd like to show you all the incredible events I get to attend to, what I do in school, what I wear of course, and maybe be able to snap a picture of a celebrity here in L.A for you guys!

These are some pictures from the Lookbook Launch Party for Rebecca Minkoff's denim collection. The clothes for men we're beyond cute, I loved the whole dapper vibe. They had a huge wall for us to be creative and at the end of the night it looked like a piece of art, I might say.

These are the pictures for the Blood is the New Black Launch Party clothing line at Space 15 twenty. For those who don't know, Space 15 twenty is a pop up shop that host events and is connection with Urban Outfitters in Los Angeles. The top picture is some of their rad clothing and the bottom picture is of me and my roommates at their kissing booth! They had all kind of fun stuff like kissing booths, nail art, and fortune tellers!

So this is just a very little dose of my life since last time I posted! I hope you guys keep following and reading!

So this outfit is on the feminine vintage side to me. We loved the color combo! The shirt has so much we love! It has a high neck ruffled which we never seen before and we love! There is pleating running down the middle that again we love. Big sleeves to be balanced out with the cuffs at the end. We paired it with this coral redish flower belt. We loved the colors together and the femininity the flower gave. The skirt is really a dress we layered everything on top of. We loved how the cream lace went with this and again kept the femininity.

We loved the way the shirt looked untucked and tucked. Which way do you like better? :D

A little bright.

I made this dress (Rafael Romo) to make it pop, and Ana wore it beautifully! I loved how I did a low V. I think it looks super sophisticated. I kept it clean up top to add all the draped ruffles at the bottom. I love the way the flowed and just laid on the body effortlessly moving as you move, kind of reminds me of seaweed in a beautiful way. I wouldn't recommend for all body types since it is a lot going on at the bottom, but Ana always wears it beautifully.

So this outfit is about the color combo and the structure of each piece. We loved the little cut out shape of this blazer up top and how it is sort of two layered? Its structured and a great pop of color. We also loved this pink pants obviously because of the color but also because of fabulous draping work on the sides of the hips. We paired it with a yellow belt that fit the color poping palette. We did a nude shoe to add the balance.

So for this outfit I made this top! I love stripes like anyone such a classic, especially black and white. I did it in a sweetheart neckline that I love. I did stripes going vertical to make it slimmer, and the bottom horizontal to add a more feminine figure. I added A red waistband cause i love red and white together. We paired it with some nice blank pants and a red blazer. We did the blue shoes cause it really popped with the color palette.

So this skirt was 100% made by me (Rafael). It was actually inspired by a designer, Christian Siriano, project runway winner season 4! I admire him so much, he is incredibly talented an in inspiration to me. He showed this dress at his 2010 spring collection and I barely studied it in detail. It was these two big panels of pleats all around one side of the hip. Of course his was much better done, way more volume and better fabric, but I took it as in inspiration. I wouldn't recommend it for everyone, but since Ana is a small frame, she worked it and it really looks interesting to the eye! We paired it with leggings to layer it more ad added the booties!

So this outfit was surronded on this top that we loved. It was a top that attracted us because of the geometric print. It was oversized so we belted it to add the figure and add that very suttle peplum effect. We added these trousers to keep it a little more serious and mature. They fitted the color palette great.

I remember the first time we saw this dress and why we liked it. We loved the pastel salmon color in the middle with the contrast of the bright color coral on the side. It was a perfect color palette, including the white band below the bust. You may not be able to see but it has a rectangular shop bow in the white waistband which made it even more girly and fun. We paired it with the light pink bow wedges, to keep the soft color palette.

P.S. Sort the first picture has a thumb, but we loved how it came out, ha!

So today's outfit is a bit on the feminine and the masculine side. The vest is a military inspired vest. We loved the big gold buttons. We kept a feminine touch by pairing it with this coral colored mini. It kept it in a good balanced. We added the necklace to add more layers.

So we're kind of aware that neon colors are going away pretty fast, so Ana decided to take advantage of it. We love it because of the black contrast peter pan collar and the cuffs at the shirt, it adds that perfect touch. Also the whole knot on the shirt is super in. Its usually done with tees and worn with shirts and skirt, but it works with this too. We also loved the cut out on the shoulders! We did this jumpsuit that seems like pants because they get cuffed out like capri, and we loved how it looked with the black booties! We hope you guys like it.

Effortless Princess

This outfit is all about being messy and effortless. The top is very loose and if you can't see has loose pocket. The skirt is kind of like a rag? but we kind of love that effect. We tied the belt and left it hanging to keep this kind of "HOBO" vibe. We loved the floral and matched it with the strappy sandals. Ana kept the whole look together with her braided hair. We just overall loved this hobo, mess vibe.

So this dress was made by me (Rafael). Though they have considered pastels officially "out" I still kind of like them. I loved the light green and really bright turquoise together on the top. The bottom is a very see through sheer light purple that I though went great with the top colors. Its flowy and moes with you, so super comfortable. Even better it was made for $5!

A little bit of an edge.

This post is a bit on the rougher side. The shorts were 100% made by me.(Rafael) They were so easily done.I got the shorts pattern and just cut. I loved the bright pink and new I wanted it with all black to make it pop. The fabric is so easy to sew and it made it for and outcome of looking chic and well polished. I decided to do them capri length, I think it looks more pleasing to me then short shorts, especially with that fabric. I added a black waistband and added this black lace to add detail and texture. We paired with a black button down with ruffles at the neck to add the drama that I love. We thought the lace leggings just added that edge vibe we wanted.

Fashion crimes

The title is again due to a movie title! Not very popular but if your into design its a good comedy.

So this outfit is again playing with your wardrobe. We took the same dress as last post and but it a white tank over it to add a shirt and skirt affect. We threw this draped sequin vest over it. It worked perfectly since below it was tight and above loose. We accessorized it and found the perfect snake shoes with the same color palette to complete it.

Breakfast at Tiffany's

The title is due to the fact that I just finished watching that film and let me say, I loved every second of it! If you haven't seen it, its a must! You will be blown away by Adudrey's performance.

Anyways outfit wise last post we did polka dots and we do it again, haha! We love the trend and think its super fun and girly! We took this oversized polka dot. Lately we've been into the oversize garments and playing with them. We put it over this form fitting little black dress and we belted it at the waist to give it shape and wala, these are the end results. It is no secret we love the touch of red with black and white.We love how oversized tops when belted right can give a little bit of a peplum effect, more on the settle side though, which is so on trend! We also love how the dress showed a bit on the top and gave it a more interesting neckline!

So this is an outfit I saw Ana wear on a typical day and I thought it needed to be bloggedd for its 3 trend statements. One, the peterpan collar. Its a different peterpan collar that it has 3 layers which we loved. Second, the polka dot print, its everywhere and I think its super cute. Third, the pastel pink shorts she paired it with. Though I think pastels won't be here for long. I loved how she kept it casual with the cute ballet flats. The shirt can be dressed up or down and loved how it was kept dress down.

So this outfit is a little sailor inspired. We loved the strips with the bright blue. We loved the wrinkled ruffle detail on the skirt. To keep it sailor we added color with the red pumps. We added a little fun with the nerd glasses. The bun of the hair seemed to fit the vibe.

Boxy and Big

So the first thing we loved about this outfit are the shorts! We love the unique floral/ hawiian print and you can't really see but it has pleat detail.The best part they were thrifted for like $5 ! The focus and what we wanted to talk about was the jacket/outerwear. It is super big and oversized. It has no seams at the waist so its a super box silhoutte. The sleeves are as well super big but balances with the cuffs at the tips. The buttons are just as oversize as they seem. We had seen it on the runway, this whole boxy/ oversized look but didn't like it much. We gave it a try and it wasn't that bad. Its kind of chanel sort of inspired. No seams to bring out a women's figure so its kind of tomboyish for our taste but we balanced it out with the floral shorts. We loved the even though the jacket is tomboyish it has a little feminine side with the see through lace. We balanced it all out with the shiny belt and heels. Hope you guys like it!

The title is due to the fact that we have been listening to the song " Fashion" by GaGa, way too much haha. So about the outfit this is a simple collar dress. The color is absolutely fabulous and catching to the eye. We always love adding something to make it different. We used one of my (Rafael) bowties and added it. I think bowties are so multi-gender and it really helped the dress instead of wearing it plain.

So just rewatched the final harry potter movie for about the 5th time. I cry every time, I feel like empty not expecting a new one every two years! haha.

So just a little on what is on my mind aha. Today's outfit is a combination of two pieces that are very different but can work. The jumper is very casual and very laidback/comfy. The skirt is a floral with a gorgeous cut in the middle making it a bit high-low hemline and settle pleats. Both pieces very different such more casual and a little dressed up. Once we put it together it totally worked. It balanced both pieces out and looked effortless. We hope you guys like it!
