Vuelve... Pádel Pro Tour.

ATP Tennis- Djokovic won Dubai Title for Second Consecutive Year by Ally White

Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic won his first title of the season and his second consecutive title in Dubai after beating the Russian Mikhail Youzhny 7-5, 5-7, 6-3. The final match was suspended on Saturday due to heavy rain with the score in favor of the Serb, 7-5, 2-0. The game was resumed on Sunday and Djokovic managed an uncomfortable victory in the Barclays Dubai Tennis Championship.

During the game, the defending champion and second seed in the tournament reached only 52% effectiveness in service and added 5 aces. Youzhny broke Djokovic's service five times.

During the first part of the final on Saturday, Djokovic played with consistency and his service was very effective. He won the first set 7-5. In the second set, Djokovic continued his game, making several great strokes and getting ahead 2-0. But heavy rain forced the match to an end, to be continued the next day.

In the resumed game on Sunday, Djokovic looked nervous and struggled to maintain his service. Youzhny, on the other hand, began by winning a wild second set, breaking Djokovic's serve five times in that set alone. The Serb suffered, trying to maintain his serve, and on Sunday alone made 12 double faults. Youzhny took the second set 7-5.

In the third, Djokovic's nightmare looked about to repeat itself when the Russian, ranked 15th in the world and seventh favorite, recovered with 3-3 after initially losing 0-3. But this time Djokovic responded, winning the next three games to close out the match with a 6-3.

The final, which between the two days lasted 3 hours and 21 minutes, illustrated the irregularity of Djokovic's game. The fluctuations were present throughout the tournament, but they didn't prevent the Serb from winning the seventeenth title of his career and the first of the year.

This triumph also allowed him to defend a title for the first time.

"This title means the whole world to me. Of course there are always people who are saying I can't do it. But I'm playing for myself, and this is another success in my career that I wasn't able to make in the last two years. But now, finally, I did it, and it's a big relief. So in the future I just hope I'll make a couple more of those," stated Djokovic.

The loss in the final was Youzhny's second in Dubai; in 2007, he lost against Federer. It's also his second tournament final of the year that ended in defeat, as in Rotterdam he was beat by the Swede, Robin Soderling.

Youzhny couldn't hide his frustration but maintained his composure.

"I'm disappointed because I lost, but I'm happy because it was a good level of game," Youzhny said. Every year the newest and latest versions of sports equipment is coming out. As technology increases, so does the quality of equipment, clothing, and apparel.

Sports clothing is becoming very unique to every sport and even wicks away the sweat that your body creates. Certain types of golf clubs have unique designs and materials to help the ball go farther and more accurately. The advancements are ongoing and exciting. One sport that has also had a lot of innovative advancements is Tennis. Every year racquets are getting better, shoes are more comfortable, and balls are keeping more of their bounce. In this article we will go over just a few of the new advancements that have been brought to tennis by some of the leading innovative companies.

First of all, HEAD has introduced superior technologies to bring in their latest YOUTEK line. They guarantee that this line of equipment will give you individual benefits that will enhance your performance and playing style. These new racquets apparently adapt to each shot that you hit and have an increased head width. This increased width gives you more opportunity to control the spin of the ball, which helps for styles that are more aggressive. Tennis has become an aggressive sport so the technology is finally catching up with the attitude.

This YOUTEK line has two new main models: the Extreme Pro, and the Extreme MP. The Extreme Pro is a heavier, stiffer racquet and gives you extra touch, spin and power on the ball. The Extreme MP adds a very unique balance of weight and quickness to complement the modern tennis player.

Another big advancement is Adidas new training shoe. It is called the CYD reflex and goes for about a hundred bucks in the United States. This shoe is predominantly a training shoe and is not geared for competition. The unique parts to this shoe are that they are made to support sudden movements and quick reflexes. Speedcut is the latest Adidas technology that helps to reduce strain on the front of the foot and helps to support side-to-side movements. This helps players to keep their speed and performance without resulting in injury. It gives arch support and are built tough so that they are not easily scratched. They compare it to being a seat belt for your foot.

Lastly, Dunlop has released a new braiding technology for their racquets. It is 4D braiding which increases overall racquet stability. It helps to increase control and reduce bad tension. This gives players an added sense of touch and feel to their racquets and helps them become more comfortable as they improve their style of play.

I Just Want To Find Some Good Tennis Rackets For Sale by BP Tan

Are you looking for a tennis racket, and you just don't know where to start? Here are a couple of tips to help you find a racket that will help you find a quality tennis racket that will not only do the job of hitting a tennis ball, but yes - improve your tennis game.

1. Beginners should always use an Oversized racket. Most beginners think that they can step onto a court and start blasting away with the tennis racket. Soon, they find that tennis is not all about power, but about accuracy and control. An oversize racket does two things - it gives you power due to a bigger head, and it is more forgiving with shots that are not necessarily accurate.

2. Shop around, and buy online. A lot of sporting goods stores, and specialty tennis shops for that matter, promote the brand that they are carrying. It is the shop's responsibility to move inventory, and keeping the lights on is the priority for a store. So, go ahead and go to the store, get a handle on the weight and feel of a racket, but buy online. You will get a better price and you will find a better selection of rackets online.

When looking for tennis rackets for sale, follow these tips and you'll be on the court serving it up in no time at all, with a racket that you'll love! Competition has increased as well as tennis clothes have also revolutionized. There is a drastic change in style, fabric, and color of these clothes. Clothes designed for the game today is meant for comfort and proper execution of every leap and stroke the player indulges in. Take for example, Venus Williams' this year Australian Open collection. It was full of slits and was designed by her own company EleVen.

When the game originally began in England, the players wore formal attire. Women wore full-length dresses and men wore long pants and full sleeve formal shirts. Tennis clothes for men and women were initially white in color. But in recent times, color has ruled the tennis courts for almost all top notch players. In the very recent Australian Open, defending champion Rafael Nadal wore a white orange shirt, whereas Maria Sharapova appeared in the gold and green colors of the Australian flag.

The evolution in the tennis clothes area has been drastic. Where in the 1970's and 1980's short, tight-fitting shorts and traditional polo shirts were in vogue, the late 1990's and 2000's saw the introduction of larger, looser shorts and more casual shirts. Earlier women tennis stars wore shortened tennis skirts and dresses, but today their variety has no bounds. The tennis courts today look quite colorful and glamorous, though some people still prefer light shades of garments to the brighter ones.

Tennis is one sport that has increased in competition. It has become a high intensity sport, as a result of which it requires a lot of physical effort and exertion. You need to run, jump, cut, twist and maneuver all kinds of strokes. Hence, free movement of your arms and legs is very important. If the movement of your body is hindered by your clothes then you won't be able to play properly. Comfort is another aspect which must be taken very seriously. The material with which your tennis clothes are made should be lightweight. They should repel moisture as best as they can. Cotton absorbs your moisture you're your body, which turns out to be very uncomfortable. Hence, you must wear garments that keep the body cool and dry, even in extremely high temperatures.

In recent times tennis clothes are made of synthetic fibers which not only remove sweat from the skin but are also very comfortable. Just like Adidas's ClimaCool brand and Nike's Dri-FIT. If you want to get the best tennis clothes for yourself visit Holabird Sports.

Tennis Court Accessories: Choose the Best of the Lot by Garret

There are a huge variety of tennis accessories as available in the market and they are popular as well. Choosing any particular accessory from the world of tennis accessories is a real challenge, more so because of the constant development in this field. Given below are some of the must-haves for a tennis lover.

The most important parts of your tennis accessory are tennis rackets and balls, though there are much other stuff that are essential to the game. It is advisable to use wide body rackets which have soft tennis strings. These 'soft' or multifilament strings help you to enhance your play as they are comparatively more elastic. But such strings are prone to lose tension faster. Hence, there are tennis rackets that feature in-built shock absorbers. This feature helps in absorbing some of the shock from the ball hitting the racket and thus it prevents your wrists from hurting even if you play for quite some time.

When it comes to choosing tennis balls choose the ones that are not too hard. Hard balls bounce off the ground too hard and fast. On the contrary, balls that are too soft bounce very low. Hence, the balls should be of the optimum hardness. It is best to invest in a branded tin of balls as they are perfect for professional play.

Tennis clothes are also an important part of tennis court accessories. It is very important that you wear clothes that fit you perfectly. They should be lightweight, sweat absorbent and comfortable. They should not irritate you when the game is on. The shorts or skirts that one wears should be of perfect fit and should be comfortable for game which involves a lot of running about. It is advised that you choose light colored clothes as they reflect light and help you to keep cool and dry.

Proper care for tennis court accessories is very important, especially though clothes. Proper care helps to keep such accessories in good condition for a long time. Another important accessory is the hat. It is very important to remain protected from the harmful UV rays of the sun during a game. Moreover, if sunlight falls on the player's eyes then he or she may get distracted and miss an important shot. Hence, a hat is very important. It shades the eyes from the sun at the same time it will also keep your head cool and help you to concentrate in the game better. One can even use sunglasses to cut the glare. Hence, we see it is very important to make the right selection of all tennis court accessories. To find the best equipment you can visit Holabird Sports. They have the best assortment of such equipment.

How to Choose the Right Racquet: Ok Sports Equipment Tips by Garret

Recently, Roger Federer and many other players from this year's Australian Open have auctioned their autographed racquets to raise funds for the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. Such an effort is a great sign of generosity coming from a tennis player of Federer's stature, more so because a racquet for a tennis player is the best possession, especially if he has made his winning stroke of the grand slam with it. Nevertheless, players are doing their best to help the victims at Haiti and we must appreciate such a gesture.

As we already know that for a tennis player the racquet is the best possession it becomes very important to select the right one. Given below are the three main categories of tennis racquets. Sports equipment is a very essential part of a sports person's life and hence it should be selected keeping all the requirements of the players in mind.

Power racquets - These are suitable for beginners, who play short strokes. These have a large head which gives more power as the hitting area is more.

Tweener racquets - These are for intermediate to advanced players. They are lighter compared to the power varieties and have smaller heads too. Their long design makes handling ground strokes easier.

Control racquets - These are especially for advanced and professional players. They provide maximum control and extra precision.

It is very important that you choose the right kind of racquet. Sports equipment should be selected on majorly the basis of the player's capacity. One should keep in mind certain facts while opting to buy a racquet, even for your child who dreams of being a tennis star. You should make a note of the surface area of the head of the racquet. It should be adequate to generate enough power for you. If you are an experienced player a smaller head one should suit you perfectly, but a novice in the game would require a larger head one. Moreover, you should also pay equal attention to the weight of the racquet. The balance the racquet provides depends mostly on its weight. Remember, to play a good game you will require the right sports equipment. Hence, don't' forget to check the grip. The grip should not be slippery or you might lose a very crucial point in the match.

So, if your child wants to be the next Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray or Roger Federer then get him a good tennis racquet. You can visit Holabird Sports, which showcases a good range of sport equipment.

Dubai Open- Djokovic advances; Murray and Davydenko ousted in Dubai by Audrey Nolan

Andy Murray's journey for the Dubai Open title ended abruptly when the Brit lost to the Serbian Janko Tipsarevic 7-6 (3), 4-6, 6-4 on Wednesday. That tournament was the first in which Murray participated since the Australian Open, during which he was upset by Roger Federer in the final.

Murray has never had an easy time with the Serb, who evened their career record to 3-3 and challenged a player who displayed not even a shadow of the skill seen in the Australian Open games in early January.

Murray entered the Dubai tournament coming from a long break and stated that he didn't expect much from the tournament since he wasn't well prepared for it. He wasn't yet, he claimed, playing his normal game; instead, he was still experimenting on the court. There was much more serve and volley than there was aggression and big shots.

Tipsarevic took the lead in the first set and took the tiebreak 7-3. Murray broke the Serb's serve in the first game of the second set, the Brit's only break in the match. It was enough, though, to bring the match to a tie at the end of the second set.

In the third, Murray struggled with 3-0, trying to equalize. He failed to take five break points, costing him the match in the end.

"It was obviously disappointing to lose, but I tried some things out and I think it was a good learning experience for me," Murray said. "I would like to have won, but it's not the end of the world. If it was a Slam or something my tactics and my game style would have been a bit different."

Nikolay Davydenko also left the tournament early, retiring after losing his first set against the German Michael Berrer because of a painful wrist. Davydenko claimed to have injured the wrist two weeks ago while playing in Rotterdam.

In the Dubai tournament, Davydenko stated that he first felt the pain in his wrist on Tuesday. The discomfort subsided briefly, and then resurged during the match against Berrer. The injury leaves his position in Russia's Davis Cup tie, in which he was formerly the favorite, in doubt.

Defending champion Novak Djokovic was the only one in the top 10 that passed the second round. Djokovic defeated fellow Serb Viktor Troicki 3-6 6-4 6-2. Djokovic recovered from being one set down against Troicki, who proved a formidable opponent.

Troicki broke Djokovic's serve twice in the first set, in the second and ninth games. But Djokovic responded quickly, breaking Troicki's serve in the second set and tying the match. In the third, Djokovic clinched a 4-0 advantage against Troicki, who tried to recover, but couldn't overcome his compatriot.

"He (Troicki) was the better player in the first set and a half and I was struggling a lot," Djokovic said. "He was serving well and the balls were going very fast. There's a big difference playing at night and in the day."

Djokovic will face Ljubicic in quarterfinals on Thursday.

The Babolat Aeropro Drive Tennis Racket And 2 Common Mistakes People Make When Buying It by Ben J Lee

When it comes to picking a good tennis racket, you better not make the same mistakes that most people make. Yes, the Babolat Aeropro Drive tennis racket is used by some famous players, but is it the right one for you? Read this article, and you will find out for yourself and hopefully avoid following in the footsteps of others.

First mistake: choosing a racket that is too heavy

Tennis rackets come in all shapes and sizes as well as different weights. What some people seem to do is choose a racket based purely on the superstar that uses it as opposed to whether they can actually get any use out of it themselves.

If it is too heavy you will tire very easily, and will not be able to take on long matches. Of course there are some matches that can last a few hours. If you choose one that is just right for you so that your arm does not tire as easily, not only will you be able to last longer, but you will have more control over it as well.

Second mistake: choosing a racket designed for a different skill level

Each racket is designed for a certain skill level whether it be beginner, intermediate or advanced.. A lot of players will just pick a tennis racket based on popularity, and not if it is right for them at their current level of skill.

This is partly the fault of marketing by tennis companies it should be said. What you need to do is forget marketing, and look at all the functions of the racket;

size of head reach weight grip

Make sure that all of these are within your level of skill, as this will give you a better game overall and allow you to progress naturally. In summary, is the Babolat Aeropro Drive for you?

Well sure, some pros do use it such as Rafael Nadal, Jo Wilfried Tsonga, and Caroline Wozniacki, but is this the one you should be using? Well, it does offer a medium for good control and maneuverability, is light weight, and has a lot of spin and power.

This racket is actually good for all levels of play, so if you feel comfortable with the grip, and like the feel, then maybe you have a winner.

As always there is help at hand if you need it. If you want to improve your game, or maybe you are having some trouble with control, then visit http://tennis-racket-reviews.net.

Alternatively you may have purchased the wrong racket. If so, the Babolat Aeropro Drive might just be the right one for you.

GENERAL TENNIS PSYCHOLOGY by Darryl Andrews

Tennis psychology is zero some-more than bargain a workings of your opponent's mind, as good as gauging a outcome of your own diversion upon his mental viewpoint, as good as bargain a mental goods ensuing from a assorted outmost causes upon your own mind. You cannot be a successful clergyman of others though initial bargain your own mental processes, we contingency investigate a outcome upon yourself of a same function underneath opposite circumstances. You conflict otherwise in opposite moods as good as underneath opposite conditions. You contingency comprehend a outcome upon your diversion of a ensuing irritation, pleasure, confusion, or whatever form your greeting takes. Does it enlarge your efficiency? If so, essay for it, though never give it to your opponent.

Does it dispossess we of concentration? If so, possibly mislay a cause, or if which is not illusive essay to omit it.

Once we have judged fairly your own greeting to conditions, investigate your opponents, to confirm their temperaments. Like temperaments conflict similarly, as good as we competence decider group of your own sort by yourself. Opposite temperaments we contingency find to review with people whose reactions we know.

A chairman who can carry out his own mental processes stands an glorious possibility of celebration of a mass those of another, for a tellurian thoughts functions along transparent lines of thought, as good as can be studied. One can customarily carry out one's, mental processes after delicately investigate them.

A solid apathetic baseline player is occasionally a penetrating thinker. If he was he would not belong to a baseline.

The earthy coming of a male is customarily a flattering transparent index to his sort of mind. The stolid, easy-going man, who customarily advocates a baseline game, does so since he hates to stir up his inactive thoughts to consider out a protected process of reaching a net. There is a alternative sort of baseline player, who prefers to sojourn upon a behind of a justice whilst directing an conflict dictated to mangle up your game. He is a really dangerous player, as good as a deep, penetrating meditative antagonist. He achieves his formula by blending up his length as good as direction, as good as worrying we with a accumulation of his game. He is a good psychologist. The initial sort of player referred to merely hits a round with small suspicion of what he is doing, whilst a latter regularly has a transparent devise as good as adheres to it. The hard-hitting, erratic, net-rushing player is a quadruped of impulse. There is no genuine complement to his attack, no bargain of your game. He will have shining coups upon a coax of a moment, mostly by instinct; though there is no, mental energy of unchanging thinking. It is an interesting, erotically appealing type.

The dangerous male is a player who mixes his character from behind to front justice during a citation of an ever-alert mind. This is a male to investigate as good as sense from. He is a player with a transparent purpose. A player who has an answer to each question we submit him in your game. He is a many pointed criminal in a world. He is of a propagandize of Brookes. Second customarily to him is a male of stubborn integrity which sets his thoughts upon a single devise as good as adheres to it, bitterly, fiercely fighting to a end, with never a suspicion of change. He is a male whose psychology is easy to understand, though whose mental outlook is tough to upset, for he never allows himself to consider of anything solely a commercial operation during hand. This male is your Johnston or your Wilding. we apply oneself a mental genius of Brookes more, though we admire a persistence of role of Johnston.

Pick out your sort from your own mental processes, as good as afterwards work out your diversion along a lines most appropriate matched to you.

When dual group are, in a same class, as regards cadence equipment, a last cause in any since compare is a mental viewpoint. Luck, so-called, is mostly rapacious a mental worth of a mangle in a game, as good as branch it to your own account.

We listen to a good understanding about a "shots we have made." Few comprehend a significance of a "shots we have missed." The scholarship of blank shots is as critical as which of creation them, as good as during times a skip by an in. is of some-more worth than a, lapse which is killed by your opponent.

Let me explain. A player drives we distant out of justice with an angle-shot. You run tough to it, as good as reaching, expostulate it tough as good as quick down a side-line, blank it by an inch. Your competition is astounded as good as shaken, realizing which your shot competence as good have left in as out. He will design we to try it again, as good as will not take a risk subsequent time. He will try to fool around a ball, as good as competence tumble in to error. You have to illustrate taken a little of your opponent's confidence, as good as increasing his possibility of error, all by a miss.

If we had merely popped behind which return, as good as it had been killed, your competition would have felt increasingly assured of your incapacity to get a round out of his reach, whilst we would merely have been winded though result.

Let us suspect we done a shot down a sideline. It was a clearly unfit get. First it amounts to TWO points in which it took a single divided from your competition which should have been his as good as gave we a single we ought never to have had. It additionally worries your opponent, as he feels he has thrown divided a large chance.

The psychology of a tennis compare is really interesting, though simply understandable. Both group begin with next to chances. Once a single male establishes a genuine lead, his certainty goes up, whilst his competition worries, as good as his mental outlook becomes poor. The solitary intent of a initial male is to reason his lead, to illustrate land his confidence. If a second player pulls even or draws ahead, a unavoidable greeting occurs with even a larger contrariety in psychology. There is a healthy certainty of a personality right away with a second male as good as which good impulse of carrying incited ostensible better in to illusive victory. The retreat in a box of a initial player is good to hopelessly fall short his game, as good as fall follows.

Using the Proper Tennis Apparel by Michael Cochran

Advantages of using tennis apparel from Prince

As games are becoming more and more competitive, both professional players and amateurs are becoming increasingly demanding regarding the quality of the apparel they are using during practice sessions and matches. You hate it when your opponent keeps winning easy points off you because of your own unforced errors on return of serve, but… now it's YOUR turn to win free points off them…

The key is to test them early. If your serve is developed to the point where you can hit it specifically where you want it to go then you can do a simple testing routine by serving one serve to each of the main three areas - their forehand, backhand and body.

You can use the first service game to do this (you should do it early so you have this information for the whole match) and serve to each of those three spots - wide, middle (body serve) and down the middle. Remember, you're not trying to ace them, it just about concentration and placement and making mental notes that you have up your sleeve to use in play for the whole match.

Simply make a mental note which side is their weaker return or which return of serve they mess up most often. (Also remember the side they hit well too of course)

During your match use this information this way… don't hit to their weaker return all the time or they'll be ready for it, serve to their weaker side when you need to win the point (30-30 or deuce or game point). And for an insider tip, if you watch Federer closely he does this all the time.

The overall point is that it's really important to notice when your opponent makes an unforced error. What I mean is, instead of just having a little party in your head because it's an easy point won, you need to take a few seconds to note what shot they made the error on - then, hit to that place on the court or that side of their body, especially when you need to win a crucial point. (30-30, Deuce, and Game Points)

Happy hitting :-)

Tennis Tips: 3 Quick Ways To Read Your Opponent FAST And Win - Tip 2 by Lillian

Label Your Opponent
"He Never Quits!" When someone says that you know that this type of player you can safely assume gets everything back. That's the type of player are and Brad Gilbert (author of Winning Ugly) calls this style of player a 'Retriever'. Retrievers rarely take risks or go for big winners, they just love to stay at the base line and hit and hit and hit. They just keep going and going and often wear you down and they often win by either wearing you out, or patiently waiting until you make a mistake in a point.

There are many different styles of players out there as you may have noticed, and some names for these types are: Serve Volleyer, Weak server, Fast Runner, Backhand Attacker, Big Server, Left hander etc.

To win more matches know your opponent's game style and label them.

Take some time at home, now if you can, to write a brief game plan for each 'Type' so you are prepared strategically for each of these styles of players.

For example, say you yourself are a Big server and your next match is against a Retriever, your game plan should be something like this: prepare to not rely on aces because Retrievers feed off pace and get a lot back in to play. Your plan would be to take the pace off your serves and shots, going more for placement then power. Also bring them to net often because typically for a retriever the net is an uncomfortable place to be.

Good luck, and get to work on your, all be it simple, pre match player plans, I assure you you'll have an edge on court.

Happy Hitting :-)

Babolat Aeropro Drive Cortex Tennis Racket Review by Luke Scott

Are you thinking of buying the Babolat Aeropro Drive Cortex Tennis Racket? The Babolat is a great racquet whether you are an intermediate or advanced player. Its' sleek shaft design makes this racket great for top spin forehands. Babolat designed this racket for Rafeal Nadal so it naturally is great for baseliners with western grips. However our test crew loved the feel. Our team noticed that their serves got a boost of power and kick from the Babolat Aeropro Drive Cortex tennis racket. While this racket is tailored for Nadal we found it to be extremely multi player friendly. It's unique design gives it increased racket head speed and your game will benefit from this. No matter your USTA ranking this racket is the right fit for you. The Babolat Aeropro Drive has a large sweet spot and delivers strokes with extreme pace and accuracy. It's maneuverability is great for players looking to attack the net and expect a boost in your service game as well. While Roger Federer's racket is suited only for advanced players, this racket is a great fit for multiple skill sets. Not many rackets have that capability. The racket is not light but it is not heavy by any means.

Our testing team found the Babolat Aeropro Drive to be too much stick for beginners yet a lot tend to lean toward it because it is Nadal's racket of choice. I would say that the Prince 03 Speedport is probably more suited for beginners then the Babolat Aeropro Drive.

Retail stores sell the Babolat Aeropro drive cortex tennis racket for around $185 while you can purchase it online at Amazon for $158. Beware however, their are lot of online vendors that may not be trust worthy. The Weekend Warrior staff has done an excellent job of tracking down the best price and place online to purchase the Babolat Aeropro Drive Cortex. Click the link below for an in depth review and links to purchase the racket from our selected vendor.

Overall we ranked the Babolar Aeropro Drive Cortex Tennis Racket as one of the Best Tennis Rackets in 2009.

Tennis - Federer upsets Nadal at the Madrid Open final by Audrey Nolan

Roger Federer beat the Top No. 1 player Rafael Nadal at the Madrid Open, finishing a five-match losing streak against the Spaniard; this was just the second victory of Federer over Nadal on clay surface, the first one was two years ago at Hamburg.

The first victory of the year for Federer was very satisfying according to him, especially on a match where he won 6-4, 6-4 in just two sets. The day before Nadal played a four-hour match against Djokovic that gave him the chance to be on the final against Federer.

This happened just one week before the French Open at Roland Garros starts, which is Federer's biggest goal since it is the only major tournament that he has not win on his entire professional tennis career.

On the other hand, the four-year defending champion Rafael Nadal was a little disappointed about the result and expressed that there was nothing to say about the way he played, it was very simple since Federer was better than him the complete match. Federer ended the winning streak of 33 matches on clay that Nadal had, but even so the Spaniard will be going to give it all at the French Open to try to clinch his fifth consecutive title, and he is planning to face it one step at a time.

"Federer has the potential to win at Paris and at any site in the world. He's showed that throughout his career. But Paris begins with the first round, not the final," Nadal said. "If I was told now that I can play the final against him, show me the paper and I'll sign."

Federer also said that everything is going back on track again for him since he has not yet won a major tournament this year. The Swiss is very excited about going to Paris where the surface is clay, and even though it is not his strongest point, he has demonstrated through his career that he's a great player on any surface; in fact, he has become the only one capable to beat Nadal on clay, who is considered the best player in that surface right now.

At the first set of the game, Federer managed to save two break points before his own break at the ninth game. Then in the second set he broke Nadal's serve in the fifth game after a long hit and went 3-2. Later, on the last game Nadal had another break chance that put the 12.500 spectators that waited for the Spaniard to take the victory at the edge of their seats and shouting for him, but his backhand hit went wide and Federer closed the match with an ace to "spoil the party" for the Spanish crowd, as he joked when receiving the title.

Nadal was not on his best shape for the final. The four-hour match against Djokovic in the semifinals the day before left him very tired and that may have had some negative effect on his game on Sunday, but at the end of the day, the tournament went for Federer. Now, we will have to wait and see how this great rivalry evolves at the upcoming Roland Garros Grand Slam.

Babolat Aeropro Drive Cortex Review: Read About The Babolat Aeropro before you buy by Luke Scott

The Babolat Aeropro Drive Cortex is an incredible racquet. It is played on a foosball table which consists of 8 rods with players (figures) attached to the rod over a playing field. Some rods have handles on the left side and others have them on the right side. There is a goal at each end of the foosball table. The players use the the rods with the handles to move their men so that they can score the ball in their opponent's goal. Defense is on your left and your offense is on your left side. Each of the different rods have different spacings between the men to make the game more difficult. The game is played fast and sometimes gets a little rowdy.

The basic objective of a game of foosball is to score the ball in your opponent's goal, while blocking the ball from entering your goal. It most closely resembles the game of football (soccer) which is why it is called table football. Most games are played up to 5 points and whoever reaches 5 points first wins the set. Most people like to play best out of 3 games, so you would have to win 2 sets to win the match.

There are all type of different playing strategies and techniques when it comes to playing foosball. There are endless numbers of different passes and shots that you can learn to improve your game. No too foosball games are alike, which keeps the game exciting. The basic of foosball though, involve serving, passing, catching, shooting and blocking. These are the basic skills that you need to play foosball. As you get more advanced you can learn different shots and passing techniques to improve your game.

Foosball is quite a popular game. There are professional tournaments were people can win hundreds of thousands of dollars. At tournaments, the pros play on exactly the same kind of foosball table that you would play on at home. A typical professional or amateur tournament could involve thousands of players and last up to 3-5 days of play.

Foosball does not always have to be a serious game. It can just be a fun and exciting game that you play with your friends. Since there are not many rules to the game and the objective is quite simple, it makes it an easy game to enjoy while having some friendly competition with others.

Are You A Swinger? by Laura Farris

One of the surest ways to miss a volley is to take a big swing. Many players make this mistake because they don't know what it feels like to hit a good solid compact punch volley.

Try this exercise:

Choke up on your racket until your fingers are behind the strings. Stand close to the net and have someone throw balls to you that you hit back while you are choked up on the racket. Continue doing this as you move your hand down the racket until you're holding the grip normal. Now do the same thing on the backhand volley by choking up so that your thumb is behind the strings. This exercise should give you the sense of punching instead of swinging on your volleys.

Lets test your knowledge on volleys.

#1. If you are not switching grips from forehand to backhand on your volleys what grip should you use? Answer - Continental

#2. In doubles you are able to hit a volley, what direction should you hit. Answer - hit past the closest opponent.

#3. The ball is coming hard at your mid section. What shot would be best for you to hit. Answer - one handed backhand volley.

#4. When preparing to hit a volley what should your feet be doing? Answer - split step.

We have talked about how to improve your volleys by punching instead of swinging and included a drill to help you get the feel of a good solid punch volley. We have covered four very important actions that need to take place when volleying the ball. Take these lessons and implement them into your game and you will be a better volleyer.

Mental Game of Tennis: Don't Compare Your Tennis Ranking to Opponent's

After working with several junior tennis players on their mental game, I've noticed that players limit their success when they focus on opponent rankings or tournament seeding. As you might already know, comparing your tennis skills to an opponent is a mental game no-no in my book.

When you make comparisons to your opponents, you are essentially saying to yourself that they are better than you! When you look at the draws to find out who you are playing, do you focus on seeding or player ranking?

What's the mental game of tennis danger in comparing your ranking to your opponents' ranking? You make too many assumptions (or generalizations) about who should win and who should lose the match. It may seem logical that the number one seed should beat the number two seed right? You know this is not always the case and this type of thinking can cause a poor mind game for tennis.

Why? If you are losing the match to a higher seeded player (that you think should win the match), how will you react? Yes, you'll confirm your pre-determined expectations about who should win the match and then tank it. You won't be willing to fight back after losing the first set. You'll engage with the "here I go again…" syndrome.

I know it's hard to not pay attention to who you are playing and your opponent's ranking or number of wins. I also realize that you can prepare your game depending on the style of your opponent's game. So you could argue that knowing who you are playing can be an advantage. However, in most cases it's not helpful to your mental game when you compare your ranking to other players in the tournament.

Then to compound the matter, players feel expectations from others to win if they are the better player or have a higher ranking. Your expectations about winning can turn into added pressure to win and fear of failure about losing.

You're tennis psychology tip for today: Don't focus on your opponent's ranking or the tournament seeding. Focus on your strengths instead of comparing yourself to other players. Think about how you can perform your best no matter the level of the opposition. by Dr. Patrick J.
