Shazam

2012-12-11T21:00:00.000+01:00

Shazam is one of the apps which we all need in our iPods. We are on the car and we hear this amazing song but we don't know the name of it. Well, Shazam is the solution! Just activate it and it will automatically tell you the name of the song and even the artist!!!

Shazam actually takes the audio fingerprint based on a time-frequency graph (called spectrogram) and matches it with its own library of music. Each song has its own audio fingerprint so shazam will never make a mistake with a song.

We totally recommend this app for your device. It does not occupy a very big space in your iPod memory and you never know when you will need it. We could say that it is like the condoms, better carry them even though you will not need them, my friends.

GTA: Chinatown Wars

2012-12-10T00:30:00.000+01:00

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is on of the most varied RPGs ever created for iPod developed by Rockstar Games. The famous game GTA now adapted for iPod was recently been considered as one of the best Rolle Playing Games yet created for an iTouch. With a great story line, a number of almost infinite missions, and an enormous variety of weapons GTA: Chinatown Wars has lately escalated into the top 20. In the game you will be able to the a large number of things: from illegal racing in the middle of the city to classic GTA stuff like getting in trouble with the police and trying to run away. You will do so at the same time you earn money from drug dealing, helping people, working for mafia chiefs and many other mini-games.

You will have the opportunity to work for many chiefs of the triad, and other people, including a police officer, sub-chiefs and people seeking for the triad's power all to find out the truth about what happened to your uncle's precious sword, which is the key for him to escalate and become one of the most important gangsters in New York. The story starts with you coming to NYC directly from China. as you get there a gang of south koreans, or so is thought, drags you and steal the precious Chinese sword from you. Directly after we get to know the protagonist's uncle which is one of the main characters in this amazing asiatic story in the suburbs of an american city. You will be able to use your house as refuge, during persecutions, as well as its garages. The mobile mode also allows you to do several things as buying weapons online and searching for places in the map.

My Opinion:
It is impressive how in a single game there can be about 200 drug dealers all around the map that are willing and able to sell you drug. I personally almost became a millionaire only selling drug. The bad part is that if you get caught with drug by police you loose it all, and there is also a limit in terms of how much you can actually carry around even though you can deposit as much as you want in your homes. My favourite mini-game is the one where you are making molotov cocktails in the gas station, it is extremely fun, and the cocktails are extremely useful. The only bad part of this game, in my opinion, is that you cannot buy businesses. Still the positive side completely ditches the negative side... I don't knwo what you are waiting for go try it right NOW!!!

Go back to Scrabble... with Angry Words (Apalabrados)

2012-12-08T22:40:00.006+01:00

Who has not spent endless hours of their childhood playing the wonderful family game of Scarbble? Well now it is here right on your iPhone for you to enjoy, we present you Angry Words
This multiplayer online version of the game allows you to play face to face against other opponents all around the world real time. You will be able to test your skills at this traditional and new game. The range of languages is pretty far from limited and you will be able to play in English, Spanish, French and several other.

The best point of the game is the social aspects it contains. Though you play against other users online, you will be able to search for your friends and play with them without the need of being together. On top of this, on your profile you will be able to consult your best plays, longest word and other awesome features.

My Opinion:
On the whole the game is pretty cool, what I most love of it is enjoying games with my friends while I'm not with them, as well as the fact that it includes a chat. The only fail I find in it is that as long as your opponent is not online you can not play, but there is an easy way of playing anytime, keep several games open at a time, try the challenge.

Call of Duty: Zombies

2012-12-07T00:30:00.000+01:00

Call of Duty: Zombies is one of the best iPod shooter games in the app store. Developed by Activision it is based on the zombie mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops for pc, PS3, xbox, etc. In this case the zombie mode has been further developed into a single game with four different maps. You have an enormous variety of weapons as in the original game, from the basic starting pistol and doubled barrel shotguns to space guns and flamethrowers, it is one of the best things in the game, weapon diversity. You can even get a random weapon instead of buying a specific one.

Every map starts with you placed in a limited space, where you are isolated, and you are surrounded by 6 to 10 entrances where zombies are constantly coming from. As you kill zombies you increase your score, head-shots make you enter a score multiplying mode. As you get kills you will earn points, these can be exchanged for weapons, grenades, to activate tramps, or you can use them to open doors and increase your map's size. The game incorporates a multiplayer mode, where you can play with another player in the same maps, either through a bluetooth connection, or an online connection. The only problem is that there is an infinite number of rounds and, unless you are playing a map which has some kind of mission to fulfil, at the end it starts to get repetitve, unless you are playing with one of your friends.

My Opinion:
Great! It is extremely addictive and the fact that it has a online mode makes it even better. This game will get you, and your friends, to play endless rounds of this amazing game. Once you satrt there is no way of stopping it.

2012-12-06T21:34:00.001+01:00

Anyone who has an iPod wishes to end with the eternal music dilemma playing whatever music you wish to at any moment. Many solve this problem hearing their music through YouTube which is quite tiresome, others don't mind spending money on purchasing the tracks from iTunes, we bring you the alternate solution:

GROOVESHARK

This great website is the equivalent to spottify but online, having absolutely no limitation and no price. Try it out! Just follow the link (clicking the word) to access the web and open up an account, 100% free and pretty fast. Then it is just a matter of searching your favorite songs and adding them to the listening queue.

Now there is just one problem to solve, we wish to acces Grooveshark from our apple plataform (iPod, iPhone, iPad etc). Some time ago an app was launched to do so, but it was soon eliminated, as several discographies showed their objections to it and apple decided to take no risks and eliminated the app. We bring to you 2 different solutions.

Remote Control Grooveshark (iTunes)

This app for your iPod, which IS available on the iTunes (link) will allow you to control grooveshark from your iPod, but it is quite restricted as you will always need a computer on, which will only let you use the application at home.

Complete App ANYWHERE (Cydia)

Anyway, we want to have this wonderful music source wherever we are, so we bring to you the final solution which will allow you to have Grooveshark everywhere. Once your iPod is jailbreaked, if not consult here, and you have added the iphoneate repo, any problems consult here, follow these simple instructions to obtain Grooveshark.

Download the Grooveshark trial version from Cydia (it is created by Bigg Boss)
Once installed, make sure you play at least one song and then uninstall it
Enter Cydia, and this time download Grooveshark from the iPhoneate repo
Respring your device and you will now have unlimited Grooveshark!

Hope you enjoy your new music tool! Pleas feel free to comment

Infinity Blade I and II

2012-12-06T00:30:00.000+01:00

Infinity Blade I and Infinity Blade II form one of the most perfect sequels in the iPod gaming world. They are played in a first adventure game mode. Developed by Chair entertainment this game is one of the most impressive games Rolle Playing Games (RPG) I have tried.

It is based on a character that is fighting against a semi-god on Earth that calls himself an immortal. The character played by you has is constantly trying to kill him. The story starts when your father is killed by the immortal you start of with the first generation, which is the son of the soldier killed by the immortal. As time goes on your rivals increase their level of power, health and damage, and you do too. You will have to fight a series of enemies until you enter the grande hall, where you must fight the immortal's personal body guard, and if you manage to kill him you will be able to fight against the immortal. The story can end three different ways, all three excellent, that you must discover... so START NOW!

My Opinion:
Both are extremely entertaining, and when I say extremely I mean it. These two games have gorgeous graphics that can not be compared to any other iPod game yet created. Personally the best part is the ending where you discover the truth of the game and its purpose. After a couple of rounds of the game it gets repetitive even though the fighting is always awesome. A very cool feature about the game is that the character speak in a completely weird language that was specifically created for this game.

Subway Surfers

2012-12-04T22:50:00.000+01:00

Subway Surfers is a platform based game similar to Temple Run. Developed by Kiloo games and Syloo games it is one of the most addictive games I have ever tried. It is based on a person or character, which you can choose out of many, that runs through a series of barriers and tunnels, that is being persecuted by a police officer and his dog. You, as a player, must evade the guard and at the same time earn coins in order to buy avatars and/or develop your permanent bonuses as well as buying instantaneous, single use, items. There are also some avatars that you must unlock, and therefore you cannot buy them until you full fill collecting a certain number of items. There are four permanent bonuses: super sneakers (where you get a pair of powered jump sneakers), times 2 multiplier (multiplies your score), powerjet (ou fly where there are no obstacles and you can freely collect a lot of coins), and coin magnet (which allows you to collect coins from all three lains in the game). These all last a certain period of time, and to get them you must walk past the item's symbol in the game. It does not have an online mode, but nevertheless you can compete with you friends in terms of who gets the highest score. There is also a bonus feature that allows you to collect coins for every 50 runs your friends do.

My Opinion:
I personally think it is TOO addictive. Once you start to get the game, when your score rises and after completing a couple missions that allow you to increase your starting score multiplier, you will not be able to stop playing the game for more than a day until you beat all your friends. Its graphics are also good, but you have to consider that it is meant not be be real, as in comic style.

Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus

2012-01-31T17:23:00.000+01:00

Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus is a first person shooter game. It is porbably one of the best shooters I've ever tried for iPod. Developed by Gameloft this expectacular game is set up in different locations, with an amazing variety of weapons, which will appeal to your senses creating a feeling of being IN the game. You start of in an island when suddenly one of your teammates comes and rescues you. You end up escaping and then the real game starts. You must go with vehicules around to achieve missions changing between guns, shotguns, pistols, bazookas and many more. This game has also an online mode in which you can compete against other players around the world to find out who is the quickest and faster gunner in the Favelas of Brazil or in Saudi Arabia. Who knows?

My Opinion:

I personally recomend this game because it is really enterntaining. You will really get that fuzzy chiles when you acomplish a mission after the hard work you spend on it. The scenario is also very impressive. You will go through the streets of Iran or pass by the forest of Afghanistan.

Tiny Tower

2012-01-26T10:37:00.000+01:00

Hello dear followers today I will show you Tiny Tower. This free simulation game is actually one of the most adictive games I've ever tried. This game is based on two types of floors. One which makes posible for 5 people to live in and the other type is just business. There are 7 types of businesses and each person has different abilities on each. The characters also have a dream job. If you get your business to be run by 3 people with dream job of that specific place, you will get double stock. It is pretty cool!

My Opinion:

You start of thinking its a little boring since you enter regularly, but the fact that it takes real time for floors to build up or to buy stock makes it really interesting. Yo might start to check it out frequently and as you start growing your building upwards you find it really cool and continue. The fact that you don't have to pay to earn any kind of money makes it really good. You can buy whatever you want just by playing the game and acomplishing missions. Try it, its totally FREE!!

NO TO SOPA!!

2012-01-23T17:59:00.000+01:00

We are suffering an attempt against our freedom. The federal government of the united is disposed to pass a law which gives the government a power similar to that which have in countries like China, Arab countries and North Korea over internet.

The sopa law has been passed as an attempt to protect the "work and intellectual ownership" of artists by simply destroying any web they believe to have this content. Is this fair when it has been US the consumers thanks to which so many artists have turned millionaire?? Yes it is true if they need the internet to make themselves famous they can use it but when WE, their followers want to hear their music we are going to find a federal announcment that thr web has been closed!! Is it fair that after attending their concerts or seing their movies at excessibly expensive fares we are not able to see them again?

This is just another example of how the USA believes itself to be over the world. Don't believe this law only allows them to close american websites, they will also be able to block acces to other countries webs and will do whatever to stop you!

We must stop this infection before it expands!! We podmen if we reach enough followers we will use all our strength on stoping the "ley sinde" in spain. All the internet must join forces we must not let thrm defeat us!

WE NEED YOUR COLABORATION!!

WE ARE ALL AGAINST SOPA!!

If you too want to help please click the adverts, we want to keep posting and informing you about this injustice as EVERY IPOD USER WILL BE AFFECTED AND CYDIA MAY FALL

Temple Run

2012-01-23T17:58:00.000+01:00

Hello dear followers, today I will present to you Temple Run. Temple Run is a totally free platform based game which is based on running throughout different types of walls, or leveled platforms, trying to get away from the evil monkeys which will try to catch you and eat you up. You will be graded on the distance you run and the number of coins you pock up in one game's time. As you get better in both distance and coin picking you will earn enough money to buy new abilities. These can be of one use, or permanent . If you choose to buy or better permanent abilities these will eventually appear at some time in the game while you are running around. You can even buy better characters who will run faster, jum higher and have better powerups.

My Opinion:

I totally suggest you at least give the game a chance since it is 100% free and the only effort you will have to do is click the install the game button. Apart from that I also recommend it because it is a great game which you will surely enjoy. If you have the chance to install it in an iPad try it because in a bigger screen you will see all that it can do. Enjoy!

Football Manager 2012

2012-01-18T22:25:00.000+01:00

Hello dear followers, today I will answer all your questions about Football Manager for ipod. Today I will tell you all about Football Manager 2012 (. First of all it requires a lot of time to start knowing the game. You will at least have to dedicate an hour of your precious time to understand how it works correctly, nevertheless everyone can easily play a single match. This unpopular game, except for the ipod geeks, is based on a team effort design based on real football games. You will become the trainer of your favorite team and as you win games, your team will become more loyal to you, and other teams may offer you an employment. You can even end up being chosen as the coach of the national team. This simulation based game, will reach into the world of football. You will be able ofmanaging your team's first and second team aswell as buying and selling players at any moment. You will persuade the direction to give you more money to buy players or to better your stadium. You can negociate with many teams from a player tranfer, to a manager transfer, to fund transfer in many terms.

My Opinion:

I personally think it is a very nice game which is intended for a long period, but once you get hold of the essence of Football Manager you will have a pretty nice time. I must say it is deficult even though it might seem easy simulate matches. You will have to talk with players, constantly reassign them, make their moral stay up and never let them become angry because they will ask for a free transfer or at least an immediate transfer. Try it, and ENJOY it.

Everyone has something in their iPods that wants to keep private or protect from other people. It can be music, videos notes or any other application but we bring you the solution, Lockdown Pro.

This application will allow you to set passwords to any application or folder in your iPod. Once you download it from Cydia (If you don't find it check our post on repositories here as you may have to add iphoneame) follow this steps to set passwords:

First you must acces to a new section that has been created in your settings called lockdown Pro. (as shwon in the image) the first time you access it it will ask you which password you want to set. It will also ask you for a safety question in case you forget the password.

Adding repositories (Sources)

2012-01-15T00:26:00.000+01:00

As explained in older posts, Cydia allows you to install in your iPod / iPhone / iPad thousands of applications not found in app store. No to obtain many of these applications we will have to add to Cydia different REPOSITORIES, sources where to download this applications. This is as if we were telling Cydia to look on different types of app stores which contain different apps. Some of the best examples of repositories are Hackulo and Iphoneate.

Here is a short guide on how to add a repository:

First access the section on Cydia which is named MANAGE and there click on sources

Then click on edit on the upper right corner and then in the upper left corner to add.

You should then see this page, add the direction of the repository and wait till the process ends.

It is highly recommendable for you to add the following repositories as many applications already mentioned and which will be mentioned in further posts are contained in them:

http://cydia.hackulo.us/

http://iphoneame.com/repo/

Manage ALL your ipod settings with ACTIVATOR

2012-01-14T00:02:00.000+01:00

To maximize your experience with your iPod we recommend the application ACTIVATOR. this amazing application allows you to manage all of the button setting in your iPod. For example it will allow you to change the track you are listening by clicking boh of the volume bottons, pausing the song by holding one of the volume bottons etc etc..

This application is opensource, created by other iPod users. It is available in Cydia which was explained in this post. Just search for activator and install it for free. Here is a guide in how to use it to for example set that when you click the two volume buttons your track changes:

When opening activator you will see this page. In this menu you will be able to choose where you want the action to take place, for this example we would choose anywhere

Now it gives you to choose from a series of buttons or actions (as you see it is really very instinctive), now we would choose under the category of volume buttons, both press.

Finally we shall define the action we want to be taken when the buttons are pressed in this case it is next track under the category iPod.

As you can see activator gives us thousands of different combinations to personalize our iPod. We invite you to explore between the thousands of them and let us now through email (podmenmail@gmail.com) commentary or however you'd like your discoveries!

Vuze

2012-01-13T23:12:00.000+01:00

Vuze is another of the programs recommended by Ipod World. Vuze, as eMule, pays some of the best uplowders for their effort. This program is based on BitTorrent for clients.

Vuze is not the best program for music downloading, but if you want it for a multiservice purpose, it is with no doubt, the best. Vuze is one of the few programs specialized on HD videos download. So in our opinion, if you are a beginner in iPod deals, you better use another program rather than this one because for music downloading, there are easier programs than this one. Still, iti is a program full of very curious files to download.

Swords and Sandals

2012-01-12T18:13:00.000+01:00

Hello followers today I'm here to present to you a very special game. Give a warm welcome to Swords and Sandals!!! This retro game designed by 3RDsense can be now played on your ipod. Nevertheless before you buy it, if you do, you can try it on Fizzy. There you can have a nice time feeling whta it is like to fight against other online players or simply train against the comp. You can easily buy Swords and Sandals ($1.99) for your ipod touch or iphone in the App store.

Now lets get to business. Swords and Sandals is a platform tyoe game based on the legendary Roman arenas. In the game you will start out bettering abilities and as the days pass on (in the game) you will level up and receive an extra 3 points each level which you can easily assign to your favorite abilities. Apart from leveling up you will also earn money which you can spend on different artifacts such as armory, magical items and spells, weapons and/or potinions, you can even gamble money, which I personally DON'T recommend you. You Will have lots of fun designing and customing your character and as it level ups you will find many different forms of attacking and really damaging the opponent. The opponents will all be controled by the comp and these will try to find your most hurtfull spot as the other ''players'' also have different types of attacks. Even though their is no assigned classes, your character will adopt different ways of fighting as you assign the given points to different abilities. For example, if you assign many of these skill points to magic, you will soon find that your character can throw burning flames or make himself grow up to more than 7 times its actual size so it can carry out a giant assasins task. On the other hand, if you assign skill points to, for example, vitality you will heal up many hp points at a time and surely will have lots of initial hp.

My Opinion:

I personally think this game is very intresting, actually, I am adicted right now to it. It totally is worth what it costs on itunes store. My favorite part of it may be the fact that each artificially made up adversary is exclusively cool and different from the rest. You will even find characters which have the ability to shout so loud that they will kill you with their taunts. The only thing which disturbs me may be the fact that you cannot listen to music while your playing.

All three are great fun, the Multiplayer mode needs a Wi-Fi connection, still I recomend the Legacy (Career mode). In this mode you can challenge an infinite number of rivals. You start creating your character choosing both your status (abilities), your category (heavy weight, medium weight...) and your character's appearence. As you win or lose matches you will go up or down in the rank. Your abilities will also get better as you train yourself. If you reach the top you can even challenge the #1 fighter for you category's belt.

My Opinion

I personally love this game not only because it is extremely enterntaining since each rival is unique aswell as its style of fighting, some will try to evade your attack while they throw quick punches, on the other hand others will resist them, but will knock you down if their punches hit your face. Another extremely good thing is the diversity of punches you can throw at your advesaries. You can even personalize some of your endless series of attacks.

How to Obtain Cydia

2011-12-20T23:19:00.000+01:00

To create a springboard and install cydia we have several programs we can use, depending on the software version of your iPod. To check what version your iPod is in follow this steps:

Settings > General > About > Version and there you will find a number similar to (4.2.1) or any other

Then here are several methods of obtaining the springboard and Cydia (click more):

DIRECTLY FROM YOUR IPOD USING JAILBRAKME:
If your iPod is Version 4.0.1 or LESS you can jailbreak your iPod directly accessing the web http://www.jailbreakme.com/ and CAREFULLY following directions. This is the easiest fastest way of jail breaking your iPod.

USING REDSN0W:
The second solution we offer is using the redsn0w program. To jailbreak your iPod with this program you will need a computer. Although this jailbreak supports all versions, it is much more complicated and we do not recommend it if you do not have a reactively high technology knowledge. If you want to here is a complete tutorial on how to use it: http://www.idownloadblog.com/redsn0w/
Once using this program you identify the version you need of it please search for where to download it in google.

USING LIME RA1N:
This third solution offers an alternative program, simpler to redsn0w but sometimes less effective. We highly recommend it as it is easy to use. You can find all the information related to how to use it in this web: http://www.idownloadblog.com/2010/10/09/tutorial-jailbreak-iphone-limera1n/

Remember to always ensure you are correctly carrying out the instructions in the pages given, we wouldn't want your iPod to be damaged accidentally and if it does remember it is NOT our fault, you do it at your own risk, even if it does (highly improbable) we would be very happy to give you counsel.
