This PCB is designed both for LM1875 IC or TDA2050 IC. Since both the chips has similar pin configurations, so i taken that advantage to make an optimized PCB.

This is my best LM3886 PCB. After numerous layouts i felt satisfied with this final layout.

Made this compact PCB layout for LM3886 audio amplifier. I kept it single layer due to cost economy. The audio input and feedback network is clubbed in one area with separate grounding resistor. I have not used input capacitor in PCB, though an external input capacitor can be employed if some DC offset is noticed in audio input.

And I am very happy to receive the PCBs, its kind of a small dream come true. Its been 4 years since i got my first samples of LM3886 and i was satisfied with home made PCBs, but recently i got some free time to learn PCB software (eagle) and it helped me to fine tune LM3886 PCB. Will upload the finished PCB and audio testing shortly.

Just finished soldering of my 200 Watts amplifier meant for Subwoofer. Amplifier is basically 2 modules of Paralleled LM3886 amp(each 100W) running in bridged mode. Here are some pics.

The Sub filter used is Subwoofer Filter PCB and Power supply under construction.

Here is an easy home made Headphone amp with 2-gain settings (10x & 6x) with small footprint for portability. Powered with an onboard 9 Volts battery and external supply option also.

Four screws will secure the battery between main PCB and another top blank PCB. .
I am planning a denim stiched pocket cover for this one. .

(There was an error in routing around volume control which is corrected in the PCB schematic as shown).

Cmoy Headphone amplifier

Just finished with my Cmoy headphone amplifier inspired from Headwize.com.
Chu Moy made a very basic and simple headphone amplifier based on OPA2134 op-amp by Texas Instruments.

I was having OPA4134 so thought of using the 2 spare channels for a line out, may be to drive another pair of headphones.
Apart from running headphones crystal clear, another advantage is that it can act as gain enhancer for my gainclone when watching movies from PC. here are the pics.

Lm4780 Single Sided PCB v3

"A PCB can always be improved" is the thing i learned when i further modify my existing freezed single layer PCb for lm4780.
It has only 4 jumpers. 1 in +V, 2 in ground supply and 1 in mute circuit.

Rin1, Rin2 and RGnd will come on track side. And Ground connections for speakers will be taken from power supply board.

3 Way Amplifer Project . . . . .

Well, in bits and pieces i had 3-way filter and LM4780 modules, but i always wanted to make a compact and high power amplifier system. Progress is ON! and just the integration of modules is remaining... Check out the pics -->

3-way filter will also come inside. Front will be glass panel. And inputs will come at right front glass panel and the heatsink.

Power Supply is in seperate enclosure. Regulated to 30 V using a pair of LT1083 (free samples :) ). I plan to put a higher VA Transformer later.

3 Way Active CrossOver.

I made 3-way active crossover circuit based on a project published in 'Electronics World', it was basically a 3-way subtractive cross-over. Its online version can be found at - 3-way subtractive X-over.

I made its PCB but when i run it, to my dissappointment, the output signal level was quite Low. Meantime i compared a subtractive crossover design as compared to a 24th order Linkwitz-Riley X-over, i decided to make a new filter based on Linkwitz-Riley design by Rob Elliot Project 09.

Its PCB is ready, just a little soldering is pending. Very eager to see it sing.

A simple PCB drill can be made using taperecorder motor. The shaft of an old motor can be grinded using a file to form a drill bit as shown in figure. Shaft has to be grinded to form this shape.

Using a small ball-point pen refill as coupling, join the motor and this drill bit. And ur portable PCB drill is ready.

The tool point may need sharpning after drilling a number of holes. And it produces a decent quality hole. The dia of holes very much depends upon the dia of tool, which can be adjusted by repeat grinding.
