If you haven't already downloaded this truck mod for "American Truck Simulator" then you are definitely missing out. This is an awesome mod done with perfection and deserves all the attention it should get. It is well done and most importantly it was done in a way with the "Average" pc in mind.

RAW - Kickstarter

This is a look at the new "Open World" game "RAW" that's currently in production and being developed by "KILLERWHALE Games". Have to say, this game looks pretty dang good and hope it actually does get released. Unlike some games that get your hopes up then they never release. But this one looks promising with an estimated release date around "December 2019". Fingers crossed!

Project Freight v1.2.2 - Company Driver

Haven't been doing to much as in "updates" as of late, because of work and messing around with site a-bit. Will get around to releasing this small update when I get the chance to finish up a few more skins and etc.

Company Driver - v1.2.2 (INCLUDES & CHANGES)

*ADDED SKINS

Walmart - Added 2 "Walmart" Truck (Peterbilt 579) and Owned Box Trailer Skins.
Granite - Added 2 "Granite" (yes, a real company) Truck (Peterbilt 389) & Owned Box Trailer Skins. (Truck Skins already available in the v1.2.1 release).
Conway - Adding.

The new skins will be available in "Quick Jobs" market and etc.

*CHANGES

All "SCS" original trucks (Peterbilt 389, Peterbilt 579, Kenworth w900, Kenworth t680, Volvo) will be available for purchase for the small deposit of ($30 to $60).

Compatable Issue Fix(s) for Company Driver (ATS)

This updated "HOTFIX" found here "DOWNLOAD" should take care of the compatible issue for "Company Driver" with the new "ATS" update.

Presently, I don't have v1.35.14 at the moment to actually test it, will when get the time. But basic knowledge says the issue was I had the "compatible_versions" in the "MANIFEST" file within the mod file set specifically for "v1.35.1.3". The "HOTFIX" changes that to "v1.35.*" which allows it to be compatible with any "v1.35.x" update and etc.

NOT SURE IF YOU GOT THE RIGHT FILE?

That's fine, I give you permission to extract the file to check and change what needs be to help you out.

Software needed: WINZIP or WINRAR (OR OTHER EXTRACTING PROGRAMS) and NOTEPAD ++

1. Create a new folder on your computer (DESKTOP for instance), name it whatever you want.
2. Find the "PF_Company_Driver.scs" file you have downloaded, right-click copy, go to your new folder (you just created), and right-click paste.
3. Rick-click on "PF_Company_Driver.scs", select (RENAME) and change to "PF_Company_Driver.zip".
4. Now, rick-click and select (whatever extracting software) your using "EXTRACT HERE" and unzip the files inside the folder (you just created).
5. Find the "MANIFEST" file and open it with whatever program you use to edit "SII FILES". I use NOTEPAD ++
6. Find the line that says "compatible_versions[]: "1.35.1.3". If this line already says this "compatible_versions[]: "1.35.*" then you already have the "Version Compatible *HOTFIX", if not then simply change "compatible_versions[]: "1.35.1.3" to "compatible_versions[]: "1.35.*". This should make the mod compatible with the new "ATS" update. Don't quote me on that though.
7. Package the files back to "SCS" using your extracting software. I use winrar so I just hover all files and folders, create an archive, name to "PF_Company_Driver.scs" and click create.
8. Copy the archived file and paste back inside your "ATS" mod directory (folder).
9. That's it.

HOW TO CHANGE TO BE COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR DLC (ONLY) STATES

*UPDATE v1.2.1 (CHANGELOG) - DOWNLOAD COMPANY DRIVER

FIXES

*Fixed compatibility issue(s). Now compatible with any v1.35 of game rather then just being compatible with v1.35.1.3.

CHANGES

*Bank - Had to do away with the bank not being unlocked until you have delivered (48 loads). Now, the bank is automatically unlocked at start of game, but don't try to take out a loan until you deliver at-least (2) loads. The loan limit at the beginning is set to $2500.

Had to do away with this feature do to how "SCS" has certain things setup in the base game that relies on all the prices of trucks, parts, trailers and etc. Causes problems/conflicts with other game features such as "Truck & Trailer Repair".

*Truck & Trailer Repair bug - Thanks to the fellow who mentioned this. As explained above the "Bank" is what causes this bug due to how "SCS" combined certain features of the game to run off one another.

Only way I could figure out a fix for this was to turn off "DAMAGE" to truck. This update includes this and the only thing turned off is (truck damage). Truck wear and tear is still on, trailer damage is still on (although lowered) and cargo damage can still be received. Sorry had to do that because the way "SCS" has things setup.

NOTE: Some changes like the "BANK" may not take effect unless you start a new game (sorry). Some can take effect by (if you already have a purchased truck & trailer) simply going to truck dealership (have to visit them) and trade in your truck and etc.

Project Freight - UPDATE V1.2 - Company Driver - A NEW CHALLENGE AWAITS!

Been working on this project for about a month now but the time is coming to get ready to work long hours once again. So, this weekend (probable around Friday/Saturday) will be releasing Project Freight - Company Driver. Afterwards, I may not be able to update/skin for a while. But I will say this mod is challenging and you will have to have a lot of patience!

What is "Project Freight - Company Driver"?

The title says it all. With the original game you never really start out as a company driver. Your pretty much starting out as a Owner Operator at the end of your Owner Operator switch over to Company Boss days, which, to me is never really a challenge.

So what does "Company Driver" do? Well, it changes that.

COMPANY DRIVER - THE BASICS (LEVEL 1 -3)

You start out like you just graduated Trucking School at at Level 1 (typically in real life your a Level 1 after Trucking School) and $1200 cash. You'll have to be careful on the location you select as your first city garage location. This garage is going to be your only garage for quite sometime. That's the whole point about being a company driver. You basically only have one garage, the company garage you drive for!

Your first garage and dealership (brand you choose on new game) will be unlocked once you complete your startup job assignment.

Project Freight - Company Driver included brands are Peterbilt & Volvo. Temporarily the only brands I have done skins for.

You will have to work the "Quick Jobs" market until Level 3. Your pretty much a floater until company offers are unlocked at Level 3. You can consider this your trial period. You can drive for UPS, YRC, HOLLAND, R&L, FOSTER, and generic companies.

You'll have to be careful at the start of the game. Your not making a ton of money like the start of the Original Game and tickets, damaged loads, bad driving, and etc can put you in the hole quick!

NOTE: As a Company Driver fuel is free. Why? In real life companies (MOST) provide a fuel card.

COMPANY DRIVER - PICK A COMPANY (LEVEL 3-5)

You'll unlock your first basic truck, which is the Volvo VNL 300. You'll also unlock the Buy Online feature in Truck Dealership. Select the truck (parts needed will already be unlocked), select your company skin (UPS, YRC, HOLLAND, R&L) and pay a small deposit fee around $20 - $40 and take the truck home.

Once you have your truck you'll be able to accept loads from the "Freight Market".

NOTE: You won't be able to get your first bank loan until you reach 48 delivered loads. In real life, Banks typically will not lean any money until you have a steady job for 6 months and etc. So, I based this information at an average 2 loads a week and 4 weeks a month.

Should Project Freight (PF) continue with it's own PF Trailer(s) so it's not interfering with the original SCS Company Trailer Skins, or, should the PF Trailers(s) be taken out therefor replacing original SCS Company Trailer Skins?

If your like me, I can't stand some of the features the game presents although most features are realistic. That being said. Their use to be a period in time where truckers had more freedom, states wasn't so restricted on laws, and things wasn't so... well... pricey. So, I have been creating this mod or making changes to the game here lately and will share this with everyone else here sometime soon.

WHATS INCLUDED

California Changes

When I started playing this game I couldn't stand going in or taking loads to California. Why? Because of the speed limit for trucks. Just as simple as that.

Local Roads - Speed limit change for truck limit from 55mph to 60mph (except for zones that require all vehicles to run 55mph)
Divided Roads - Speed limit change for truck limit from 55mph to 70mph (includes truck traffic as well)
Freeways - Speed limit change for truck limit from 55mph to 70mph (included truck traffic as well)

Most speed limit signs in California have been changed to match all changed speed limits, although their is some that still remain 55mph.

Drive & Sleep Changes

If I can remember right. You use to be able to drive and sleep whenever you felt like it at whatever ratio you desired. Kind of like how certain Expedite companies allow with Cargo Vans and Sprinter vans in today's world and so forth.

Drive & Sleep Ratio - Changed drive time to 18 hours and sleep time to 6 hours (giving a 18/6 ratio)

Economy Changes

These are just some changes I have been playing around with and think it's kind of a more appropriate economy for the average trucker. Yeah I know it's fictional :p

Truck Refund - Changed from 25% to 35%
Fuel Discount at Garage - Changed from 15% to 25%
Abandoned Job Fine - Changed from $12,000 to $1200
Driver Hire Cost - Changed from $1500 to $500
Skilled Driver - Changed from 0.8 to 1.8
AI Driver Revenue - Changed from $0.67 per km to $0.54 per km (find this more appropriate)
AI Driver Cargo Revenue - Changed from $0.77 per km to $0.64 per km (find this more appropriate for national company driver average)
Other Changes

Fictional Engine

Will be including a fictional engine.

Detroit DD17 - 700hp

Other changes will be announced once the mod is complete and ready for the public...bug free.
