1981-ല് ഫ്രാന്സോ മത്‌റാന് ഫ്രാന്സിന്റെ ഭരണസാരഥ്യം ഏറ്റെടുത്ത ഘട്ടത്തില് ഫറോവയുടെ മമ്മിയെ സൂക്ഷിക്കാന് ഫ്രാന്സിനെ അനുവദിക്കണമെന്ന് ഈജിപ്തിനോട് അഭ്യര്ത്ഥിച്ചു. തുടര്ന്ന് ഫ്രാന്സിലെ പാരീസ് വിമാനത്താവളത്തില് ഫ്രഞ്ച് പ്രസിഡന്റും മന്ത്രിമാരും മറ്റ് ഉന്നത ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരും തലകുനിച്ച് ഫറോവയുടെ മമ്മിക്ക് രാജകീയസ്വീകരണം നല്കി. പിന്നീട് ഫ്രഞ്ച് പുരാവസ്തു കേന്ദ്രത്തിലെ പ്രത്യേകസജ്ജീകരണത്തിലേക്ക് ആ മമ്മിയെ മാറ്റി.

അക്കാലത്തെ ഏറ്റവും വിദഗ്ധരായ പുരാവസ്തു ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞരും ശസ്ത്രക്രിയാവിദഗ്ദന്മാരും പ്രസ്തുത മമ്മിയെക്കുറിച്ച ഗവേഷണപഠനങ്ങളില് ഏര്പെട്ടു.മമ്മിഗവേഷണത്തിലെ ശസ്ത്രക്രിയാവിദഗ്ധര്ക്ക് നേതൃത്വം നല്കിയിരുന്നത്ഫ്രഞ്ചുകാരന് തന്നെയായിരുന്ന മോറീസ് ബുക്കായ് ആയിരുന്നു. ഫ്രഞ്ചുക്രൈസ്തവകുടുംബത്തില് പിറന്ന, വൈദ്യശാസ്ത്രത്തില് ബിരുദം നേടിയ അദ്ദേഹം ആധുനിക ഫ്രാന്സിലെ അറിയപ്പെടുന്ന സര്ജനായിരുന്നു. ഫ്രഞ്ച് അക്കാദമി 1988-ല് ചരിത്രത്തില് അവാര്ഡ് നല്കി അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ആദരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. മമ്മിയുടെ പഴക്കം, അതിന്റെ ശരീരത്തിന് സംഭവിച്ച മാറ്റം തുടങ്ങിയ വിഷയങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കൂടെയുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞന്മാര് മുഖ്യമായും പരിശോധിച്ചത്. അതേസമയം ഇവരില് നിന്ന് ഭിന്നമായി ഈ ഫറോവ രാജാവ് എങ്ങനെയാണ് കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടത് എന്നതിനെക്കുറിച്ചാണ് മോറീസ് ബുക്കായി അന്വേഷിച്ചത്. നിരന്തര പഠനത്തിന് ശേഷം ഒരു ദിവസം രാത്രിയുടെ അന്ത്യയാമങ്ങളില് അദ്ദേഹം തന്റെ അവസാന നിഗമനങ്ങളില് എത്തിച്ചേര്ന്നു.മമ്മിയുടെ പേശിയുടെ ഏറ്റവും ചെറിയ ഭാഗമെടുത്ത് മൈക്രോസ്‌കോപ് കൊണ്ട് പരിശോധിച്ച അദ്ദേഹം അവയെല്ലാം പൂര്ണസുരക്ഷിതമാണെന്ന് മനസ്സിലാക്കുകയുണ്ടായി. വളരെ കുറഞ്ഞ നേരത്തേക്ക് പോലും വെള്ളത്തില് കിടന്ന ഒരു ശരീരം ഇപ്രകാരം പൂര്ണസുരക്ഷിതമായിരിക്കുകയില്ലഎന്നതാണ് വസ്തുത. എന്നിരിക്കെ, ശരീരത്തില് പറ്റിപ്പിടിച്ച ഉപ്പുകണികള് സാക്ഷ്യപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന പ്രകാരം കടലില് മുങ്ങി മരിച്ച ഒരു വ്യക്തിയുടെ മൃതദേഹം ഇത്ര സുരക്ഷിതമായി എങ്ങനെ അവശേഷിക്കുന്നു എന്ന ചോദ്യം മോറീസ് ബുക്കായിയെ വല്ലാതെ അലട്ടി. മാത്രമല്ല, ഈജിപ്ത് ഭരിച്ച മറ്റ് ഫറോവമാരുടെ മൃതദേഹത്തേക്കാള് സുരക്ഷിതമായിരുന്നു കടലില് നിന്നെടുത്ത ഫറോവയുടെ മൃതദേഹമെന്നത് കൂടുതല് അല്ഭുതകരമായിരുന്നു.

സൂക്ഷ്മപരിശോധനയില് ബോധ്യപ്പെട്ട കാര്യം ഫറോവയുടെ മൃതദേഹം അധികകാലം കടല് വെള്ളത്തില് കിടന്നിട്ടില്ല എന്നാണ്. കാരണം വെള്ളത്തില് അധികം നിന്നതിന്റെ എന്തെങ്കിലും കേട് ആ മൃതദേഹത്തില് പ്രകടമായിരുന്നില്ല.അതൊരു പുതിയ കണ്ടെത്തലായിരുന്നു എന്ന അര്ത്ഥത്തില് അദ്ദേഹംഅവസാന റിപ്പോര്ട്ട് തയ്യാറാക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. അപ്പോഴാണ് ഫറോവ മുങ്ങി മരിച്ചതാണെന്ന് മുസ്‌ലിംകള് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നുവെന്ന് ആരോ അദ്ദേഹത്തോട് പറഞ്ഞത്. ഇത് കേട്ട അദ്ദേഹം അദ്ഭൂതസ്തബ്ധനായിരുന്നുപോയി. കാരണം ആധുനിക ഉപകരണങ്ങളുടെ സഹായമില്ലാതെ അത്തരമൊരു വിജ്ഞാനം ലഭിക്കുക അസാധ്യമാണ്.അതിനാല് മുസ് ലിംകളുടെ വിശ്വാസത്തെ അദ്ദേഹം നിഷേധിച്ചു.

പക്ഷേ വിശുദ്ധ ഖുര്ആനില് ഇക്കാര്യമുണ്ടെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞപ്പോള് അതേക്കുറിച്ച് അന്വേഷിക്കാന് തയ്യാറാവുകയും സൂറ യൂനുസ് 92-ാംവചനത്തില് അക്കാര്യം കണ്ടെത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു.ഈ യാഥാര്ത്ഥ്യം തനിക്കുമുമ്പ് ആരും കണ്ടെത്തിയിട്ടില്ലെന്നായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹം കരുതിയിരുന്നത്.'1898-ലാണ് ഫറോവയുടെ മമ്മി ലഭിച്ചത്. അതിനും ആയിരത്തി നാനൂറ് വര്ഷങ്ങള്ക്ക്മുമ്പ് അക്കാര്യം ഖുര്ആന് വ്യക്തമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു' എന്നാണ് പിന്നീട് അദ്ദേഹം തന്റെ ഗ്രന്ഥത്തില് എഴുതിയത്.അതിന് ശേഷമുള്ള പത്തുവര്ഷം ശാസ്ത്രീയ യാഥാര്ത്ഥ്യങ്ങളും വിശുദ്ധ ഖുര്ആനിലെ സൂചനകളും തമ്മിലെ പാരസ്പര്യത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് അദ്ദേഹം പഠനമാരംഭിച്ചു. വിശുദ്ധ ഖുര്ആനും ശാസ്ത്രവും തമ്മില് എന്തെങ്കിലും വൈരുധ്യം കാണുമെന്ന പ്രതീക്ഷയിലായിരുന്നു അത്. പക്ഷേ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ പ്രതീക്ഷകളെ അട്ടിമറിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് വിശുദ്ധ ഖുര്ആനില് ഒരു അസത്യവും കടന്നുകൂടിയിട്ടില്ലെന്ന യാഥാര്ഥ്യം അംഗീകരിക്കേണ്ടിവന്നു.പ്രസ്തുത പഠനത്തെ തുടര്ന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം രചിച്ച ഗ്രന്ഥം പാശ്ചാത്യ ലോകത്തെ പിടിച്ചുകുലുക്കുന്നതായിരുന്നു.'ഖുര്ആന്, തൗറാത്ത്, ഇഞ്ചീല്:ആധുനികവിജ്ഞാനത്തിന്റെഅടിസ്ഥാനത്തില്വിശുദ്ധ വേദങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച പഠനം' എന്നായിരുന്നു ആ ഗ്രന്ഥത്തിന്റെ തലക്കെട്ട്.ബുക്കായ് പറയുന്നു:'വിശുദ്ധ ഖുര്ആന്റെ പ്രമാണങ്ങളെ അഭിമുഖീകരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു വ്യക്തിയെ ആദ്യം ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെടുത്തുക അതിലെ ശാസ്ത്രീയ വിഷയങ്ങളുടെ സമ്പന്നതയാണ്.

തൗറാത്തിലും ഇഞ്ചീലിലും ഭീമമായ ശാസ്ത്രീയ അബദ്ധങ്ങള് കാണുമ്പോള് വിശുദ്ധ ഖുര്ആനില് ഒരു ചെറിയ വീഴ്ച പോലും കാണാന് സാധിക്കുകയില്ല.വിശുദ്ധ ഖുര്ആന് ഒരു സാധാരണ മനുഷ്യന്റെവചനങ്ങളാണെങ്കില് ഒമ്പതാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടില് അസംഭവ്യമെന്ന് കരുതപ്പെടുന്ന യാഥാര്ത്ഥ്യങ്ങള് എങ്ങനെ അവയില് കടന്നുവന്നു?'തൗറാത്തിലെയും ഇഞ്ചീലിലെയും വൈരുധ്യങ്ങള് തുറന്ന് കാണിച്ച അദ്ദേഹം അവ രണ്ടും ഒരു കാലത്ത് എഴുതപ്പെട്ടതല്ലഎന്ന് സ്ഥാപിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. മാത്രമല്ല, അവ ഈസാ, മൂസാ പ്രവാചകന്മാരിലേക്ക് ചേര്ക്കുന്നത് കള്ളമാണെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം വ്യക്തമാക്കി. ആ പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെകാലശേഷം എത്രയോ വര്ഷങ്ങള് കഴിഞ്ഞാണ് അവഎഴുതപ്പെട്ടതെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം തെളിയിച്ചു.
