Temple of tooth - Sri Dhalada Maligawa, is placed in royal palace complex in Kandy, in central province. It is a buddist temple which is popular for hold the tooth of the Lord Buddha.

This picture is taken from inside Sri Dhalada Maligawa, Buddists use flowers to vership Lord Buddha. The blue flower is called "Nil Mahanel" which is blue water lily. The pink flower is called "Nelum" which is lotus. Look it isn't beautiful to see various kinds of flowers together?

A picture of a Sri Lankan elephant which was taken from palace complex near temple of tooth. Sri Lankan elephant is one of the three species of Asian Elephant. Asian elephants are smaller than African elephants. These elephants are used for "Sri Dhalada Perahara" which held yearly in August.
