I always dreamed I'd walk into your path
You settled on my street, I watched you desperately

CHORUS: I wonder why sweet fate won't decide that you be mine

When I would hear your name, I'd always feel the same
Old feelings tickling every inch of me
At the end of the day, I would evaluate

You stand in front of me I pray on both my knees
And thank god for the rain that brings you here,

I won't ask why sweet fate did decide that you are mine
You are mine
You are mine
