Benefit - My First Visit

Who won't be excited? Knowing that this perky -"kikay" store opened in Manila is definitely something to look forward to. As I visit Greenbelt 5, I can't wait to head to its direction and view this store. Seriously, I am blown away as it looked like a 16 to 18 year old bed room.

When your a mom you tend to worry so much about your kid. Especially now a days when dengue is one of the scariest type of illness you or your little one can get. In short, no one escapes dengue. So, to be sure you have to and must protect yourself and your love ones. Most especially the kids.

My toddler is just a year old and to be honest despite all the cleaning the spraying of insect killers and all, bugs and most especially mosquitoes are still everywhere. What to do? I tried different insect repelant from lotion to oils, still it ain't enough. Not to mention the fact that what I got are not really made for little princess. Until recently, I attended an event by Working Mom and won a goodie bag with Bite Block for kids. Yes mommies, YOU hear me right. FOR KIDS...

I road tested the product for a week now, starting with patch test on my daughters skin. I place a little amount on the inner part of her arm and she if she will get allergy or rashes. When it is all good I now apply it to her legs and arms. Seriously, I fell in love with its scent as its not strong for toddlers nor babies. So far its doing its job of making my little princess free from mosquito bites.

Recently I have not had the time to even go to the derma due to a super crazy, busy schedule. So the normal me got break outs all over once again. So, the normal thing any female can think of is to head to the department store beauty section and purchase a concealer. To cut the long story short, I found a set of concealer and a zit zapper instead. It's the e.l.f. Zit Zapper and Concealer Collection for only Php 249.95 what a steal don't you think?

I use the items as I got them and I did get in love. A must try. Although, I would personally still like a stick concealer than the liquid enclosed in the set. But still the price is a steal, wouldn't you agree? Hmm... I wonder if they got the Zit Zapper sold separately. I should have asked. Anyways....

Would you believe that many women tend to think that we don't need to apply anything to our skin during night time? Some of them would even say that they would not need to use anything as they are just resting and they are not in anyway expose to harmful UV rays and dirt and what have we in the environment. For these women... so sorry ladies, but I have to prove you all wrong... and so will many beauty junkies out there.

Why I am loving this product?
First of all... I am such an oily skin person. So as much as possible I gear away from creams. Even at night, I try to use moisturizer that is not in cream form so that I won't wake up in the morning with so much oil on my face that I can almost fry an egg. (Get what I mean?) To be honest I almost didn't want to try this cream but I did because the first thing that is making you love it is the mashmallow and Vanilla scent that you would smell. Yup, this product has a floral scent with pink mashmallow and vanilla scent to top it... It actually allows you to be on a relax mode after you have it on your skin. And the texture is silky smooth. For a night cream, it's not oily... it's actually matte... not greasy... perfect for all skin types. To top it all, when you wake up in the morning... you face is not super greasy (for oily skin person) as when I wake up with my other night creams. Plus... I really see great effect too!!! My skin appears younger, hydrated, plumed and toned.

Tushy Wushy for my Baby

After giving birth last year, the mommy instinct of budgeting and making sure my baby would get the perfect care is my top most concern these days. To be quite honest, the whole mommy idea and the whole over the top expenses of having a kid surprised me. Although, fellow mommy friends have already warned me about it. I guess, experiencing it first hand is still different.

To cut the long story... one of the most money wasting expense of having a little one is the diaper usage. Aside from it being costly, diapers also tend to give your precious little one diaper rash and her exposure to diaper chemicals, not to mention the damage you and your baby is doing to the environment because of the diaper garbage. So, after reading it from fellow mommy blogger, Topaz Mommy... I decided to give this cute colored cloth diaper a try. It's what they call "Tushy Wushy".

New Look for the New Year

To all my blog readers... let me first greet you all a HAPPY 2011!!! My apologies for not being able to post much on my blog since mid of December 2010. Many of you know, my hands are quite full recently with my little angel "Chesca". Seriously, I never thought having a little kiddo would be a handful of work. Oh, please don't get me wrong... I am not complaining. It's such a blessing if you ask me. However, as many fellow mommy would say. You sleep when your little one is asleep and that is what I have been trying to do for the pass 2 months and soon going 3 months.

This is my first post for the year 2011. And I promise you guys... this is once again the start of the series of post I shall be doing in the next couple of days. Just please forgive me if I won't be able to post as often as I do when I am pregnant. But never the less, I would try my best to share all the beauty tips, kikay tips... mommy finds and what have we to each and everyone.

So, I am sure you all notice... my blog has a new look for the year! Well, if it was me I won't be changing the look. But as the designer of my blog "Shabby Blog" is changing it's server and domain... I am force to change the look... (Please forgive me for the un-centered header... still trying to figure out how to work it out... if any of you know how I can work on it... please send me a comment, I would love to fix it immediately... it's such a shame to have the header not in it's proper place.) Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Challenge Update

Today is the 14th day of mine using the Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate... and I should say I notice some changes on my skin as I use this... definitely I feel that my skin look more radiant, more hydrated and more soft...

This is my photo during a wedding I attended last December 4... and it's just the 5th day of mine using the product. I use it together with my Ultra Facial Moisturizing Cream... definitely dark spots are visibly reduced...

During this time I used Graftobian Cream Foundation applied with Beauty Blender. Finished with Lancome Photogenic Foundation, Lancome Eye Shadows, Lancome Khol Liner, Lancome Virtouse Mascara, Lancome NEW 01 Blush Subtil and Lancome Le Rouge Absolue Lipstick.

Pressure! First thing that comes to my mind knowing that I have to attend a wedding event after a month of giving birth. For one, wondering what to wear and wondering how I would look is something most girls would think off. Well, personally I think I was able to pull it off! (What do you think?)

That's me and my little angel after one month, wearing a Zandra Lim one shoulder chiffon empire cut gown.

If not for Body Shapers, I don't even think I would look thin. Of well, thanks to body shapers my tummy flabs didn't show as much! I guess, I have to admit I still wear them day in day out... except for night time of course coz' I have to give my tummy it's much deserve rest from binders and body shapers for the skin to breathe. But the rest of the day I wear them... things all we girls have to sacrifice just to look slim and fab.

Scotch on a Different Level

Never was I a drinker before, and I don't think I would ever be. Occasionally, I would try a zip or two during events and party. But to fully drink a full shot... I don't even think it would ever happen especially now!

The recent event of Chivas Regal has open my mind to how I can enjoy scotch even if I am a non-scotch drinker. As most Filipino's rarely pair their scotch with certain food and dishes. Chivas has recently showed the local audience how to enjoy this premium whisky in a whole new level. It takes a lot of courage and experimentation to enjoy Chivas Regal 18 year old with a lot of different food, but then believe me when I say it would really blow you off your seat.

As Pernod Ricard Philippines, exclusive imported of Chivas Regal 18 Year Old, hosted this two day Exclusive Scotch Tasting Session, which they entitled Priviledged and Indulge that happened at The Republiq Club in Resort World, Newport City. This great event allowed the prestigious guest and personalities to indulge and enjoy this premium 18 year old scotch paired with chocolates, shavings, almonds, sultans and chocolate truffles. Dinner and hors d'oeuvres was prepared by The Republiq's own Chef Fernando Aracama. Unique chocolates infused with Chivas Regal 18 year old was prepared by Hyatt Executive Chef Josef Miklaye for all the guest to taste. This is also the time where they introduce Chivas 18 Blend of Brothers which is represented by Manila's accomplished gentlemen namely...Louie Kaw, Marc Soong, Marco de Guzman, Neil Arce, Bingo Manahan and Ike Stranathan.

Lately, I always share to most of you guys that I didn't use any skin care regimen while I was pregnant. So, now I am back to my skin care routine and here is a new addition to what I was using and loving previously.

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate, this product is a night care product. I am starting 2 nights ago challenge myself to try the small vial I have received from Kiehl's. Okay, admittedly I got so bored for being stuck home for one month. So, after a month of exile... I am now allowed to go out. Well, first stop was to purchase some baby needs of mine and some Christmas gifts! Then off to visit Kiehl's 1851's newest home at SM MALL OF ASIA. (Remember, when I posted before the construction of this store?) Now, I am so happy to share with all of you how this new Kiehl's Flagship Store looks like.
