One of most popular methods for gaining high SERP are link building and social bookmarking.

Free Private Label Rights (PLR) Content

I've been researching lately about Private Label Rights (PLR) content. However at first I assumed that it was only for those uninspired people who didn't want to do their own writing, but as I studied more, I've come up with many great ways I can utilize PLR in my own business.

If you don't get what I'm writing about, PLR is content that you obtain from the original author along with their permission to use it as your own. So you can get a great report, put your name on it and have your own product to publish, sell or give away!

The first couple of products I created using PLR only took me about half an hour. There have been a few sales so far from them so that was definitely time well spent.

While searching for PLR content to use, I found there have been a lot of different types of sites available. Some PLR sites offered membership on monthly basis, and other sites offered one time purchases only. Thus be sure to make your researhc before you decide where to get your PLR articles from.

When you first start out to build an internet home business it's really hard to know what to do. There are so many programs, so many guaranteed money making opportunities and so, so much to learn.

Main question is, which one to grab, since there is so much hype.

Here are some tips on how to start an internet home business:

(1) Take a Look Around
Take time to look around at all the opportunities on offer.

Personally I've spent a couple of nights to learn about most opportunities are great to make money first of all for the Internet guru who offers his product. Best thing to learn is how these products are marketed. Pay attention to the steps of enrolling new customers, then how to keep them, and how to upsell them until die or unsubscribe. Steal your knowledge from the masters.

Do some searches on your topics of interest. See if anyone has a training page for an internet home business which has caught your eye.

For sure you will find hundreds of sources or free training. Don't neglect great service providers as Google, Yahoo, Aweber, Clickbank, Ebay and so on. There are great programming resources with excellent tutorials, free scripts and much more.

Join a traffic exchange and spend time surfing there. Make sure you read each ad. This will expose you to most of the opportunities which are being actively marketed.

(2) State Your Goals
You will hit what you aim for.

No goal, no result to reach. This should be the starting point, in fact, the motor of all your useful efforts.

Goals will keep you focused and they will force you to move on if you find yourself in a rut. Write down some goals make them Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Results orientated and Trackable, build them into your plan.

Your goals lead to find your methods, methods help you determine your metrics, and all this three will be the base of your project management that will be your guide to achieve your valuable results.

(3) Make Up a Plan
Make sure you write a plan for your internet home business. It doesn't need to be long but it should include your goals, basic strategy, the actions you will take and the time frames you set for each action and of course your planned costs. This will give you focus in the days ahead. Be sure to include how often you will update your plan. I update my tactics (short term actions) every month and my overall strategy every year.

Planning has to be done in several steps. First you must set your strategic plan showing the main directions of the actions, then you'll be able to make several tactical plans outlining the detailed operations to be done.

Having the plans, you shall set up your targets, those mini-goals or milestones that will show you that you are going in the right direction. Having all the targets aligned into a system, you will have your program. You may build up several scenarios, if you feel it is need for.

Adding persons of responsibility for the parts of your program, and adding deadlines for each major target, you will have your project.

(4) Be Realistic
Very few people have achieved significant revenue streams within 6 months. Most will tell you should be expecting to make reasonable money in a two year timeframe. Focus on getting rich slowly.

Many people get disappointed of some business because thei expect to get rich fast.
In fact, you shall strive to get not quickly rich, but to get very rich.

(5) Visitors Are King
No matter what you sell or what you do, you will need to find a way of showing lots of people what you have to offer. Ensure that your internet home business plan builds an ongoing self generating and free stream of traffic. The bigger the better.

I'd add here: the size of your customer list will determine the size of your business. Having customers, knowing what they want and offering them what they want - this is the idiotproof method of a viable business.

(6) Plan to Set Up an Automated System
Ensure you can setup each opportunity on auto pilot. By this I mean you should build you business so that each element or opportunity runs itself. This way your focus can be on continually growing the business and not coping with the demands of your existing business.

Before to make any autopilot system, first understand what brings you money in. Strengthen that and get rid of unnecessary details. Having refined your system, make your automations and keep duplicating what was once successful until it brings results.

(7) Get Into a Great Forum
If you can find a forum where the members are experienced, in profit and willing to share their experience, you will shave years and serious dollars off your learning.

Best way to get answers is to ask your questions.

(8) Have Your Budget
There are so many great offers, so expertly marketed which will tempt you to part with your dollars. Resist the temptation. If you find a great idea or concept do a search and see if someone will provide it for free. Often they will. If not, remember there is a great bargain to be had every other day. Put it on your "to do" list and get round to it when you can afford it.

The secret of making money is having some. ;)

(9) Build Up A Downline
Make sure that with every product you promote, if you can show someone else how to do it, you get some benefit for their efforts. Most programs have this ability, often called a downline. It means that you can focus on growing your internet business by growing your product set and by growing your "sales force" below you. The auto pilot mentality and a downline will allow you to grow your internet home business exponentially over time.

Duplicate, duplicate, duplicate...

(10) Select Anciliary Products
When planning how to start an internet business, try to pick products which are complimentary. This will mean that people who join under you in one opportunity will most likely follow you to another, and another allowing you to grow you income streams quickly and with minimum cost.

Upsell and cross sell as much as you can.
It is much easier to sell to someone, who already bought something from you, than to a new lead. Your best promotion will be your customers' satisfaction.
Just imagine the moment, when one of your returning customers tell you:
"No need for any explanation. I've bought several times from you, and I was always satisfied. Don't pitch me about your new product. I know, if it is from you, it is best I can get, Just give it to me."

(11) Get Ready for Mistakes
You will need to explore lots of options, concepts and tools until you find something that works for you. Treat your mistakes as learning experiences. Do trial everything on a small scale before committing significant expense.

Test, test and always test before a major action.

(12) Do Your Homework
Do something every day to build your business. Set aside time and make sure you focus on going forward. With action comes opportunity, with opportunity comes results.

Make a habit from having success.

Although it may be not impossible of earning well over average by working smart instead of working hard, the reply to the captioned question is layed out in a brilliant article by Dean Philips:

Ha, ha! The only free chese is in the moustrap. You wanna earn, you gonna go for it! And do your work!

It's an urban legend, of course. But yet, that ideology is still pervasive on the Internet.
So, I'm here to give it to you straight. Yes, you can make a lot of money on the Internet. But you first have to take the time necessary to educate yourself on Internet marketing. And after you do that, you have to work your butt off!

So if you want to get some results, wake up a little earlier, or go to bed a little earlier, forgot stumbling on the television and other tim wasting habits! Do your homework if you want an extra income from your Internet based home business!

Now I'm sure many of you reading this article don't want to hear that. And those guilty of helping to perpetuate the myth point to the success of the current "flavor of the month," Brad Fallon.

All of the successful people I know work hard like that. Infact, some of the most successful people I know work the longest hours.

Take me for instance. Most mornings I get up at five or six'o'clock, because I can't wait to get started. And most nights, I don't get offline until around 10 or 11:00.
Now by my calculations, those are 17 or 18 hour work days. But it doesn't seem like work to me at all, because I'm doing what I love. And that's the whole point! I'm not putting in those hours because I have to, I'm doing it because I want to.

Heh! This looks very familiar to me!

Why? Because I live by a certain philosophy which is:
"Any success you achieve will be in direct proportion to your hard work, desire and determination. The harder you work and the more desire and determination you have, the greater will be your success."
The above philosophy (which I coined, by the way) keeps me focused, hungry and working hard. Oh sure, I could work an hour or two on my computer every day and goof off the rest of the time. And do you know what would happen to my earnings? They would plummet--as would the earnings of most of my collegues, if they started playing more than working.

In conclusion, short of winning the lottery, robbing a bank or inheriting a fortune, with very few exceptions, I know of no legitimate way to make a lot of money without working hard for it!
