We join two friends on Lake Eufaula (Oklahoma) as they show us how to
fish using underwater lights. Fishing at night gets them out of the
summer heat and into schools of feeding crappie and sand bass. With
thousands of prey fish swarming to the underwater lights, the anglers
catch black crappie, white crappie, blue cat, channel cat, sand bass and
even a drum. Braided fishing lines are popular with fishermen because they are
thinner and more durable than traditional mono lines. They are used in
many specialty situations where a stronger, more visible or even less
visible line option is needed. They are commonly used on both
baitcasting and spinning reels. Below are five of the top braided
fishing lines that are available on the market today.

Power Pro Microfilament Line - Power Pro is widely considered to be the
most popular brand of braided line available. They have several
different options in terms of line material, thickness and strength.
This brand of line is specifically designed to not have many of the
common problems that some braided lines come with. They are tangle
resistant, gentle on line guides and reels and can be used for both
spinning and baitcasting applications. Power Pro line does not stretch.
This makes it perfect for situations where fishermen need to feel even
the slightest pull. There are many different test and length options
available.

SpiderWire Stealth - This line is made with microfibers that have been
treated with Teflon. It is meant to be a quiet line for casting and
retrieving. Many fishermen marvel at the strength of SpiderWire line and
routinely report catching fish over its test limit quite easily. It a
popular line for use in many salt water fishing situations.

Berkley FireLine - This line made for a spinning reel or baitcasting
reel is known for its smooth braid. This smoothness allows it to glide
swiftly through the water while minimizing the reel damage that some
braided lines can cause. The ease with which Berkley FireLine can be
seen in the water is one reason why fishermen have grown to like it so
much. It is great for fishing situations where the line may be difficult
to see. These situations could include areas where waters have become
muddy or grown over by thick vegetation.

Stren Sonic Braid - Sonic Braid line typically comes in a blue and clear
coloring and has a fluorescent appearance in the water. It is easy to
knot but still retains the very tight and non-stretchy feel that users
of braided line desire so much. Sonic Braid is a line that many
fisherman claim casts very far without much effort.

Sufix 832 - This braided line is known for its very small line width and
ability to float through the water while staying undetected by fish. It
comes in a green color that blends easily with most waters. It is a
very tightly braided line and has 32 braids per inch. These weaves are
done with eight different fiber types. Line of this strength and
thinness are perfect for situations where fishermen want to keep their
lines from getting tangled in vegetation growing in the water.

These
are five of the most well known and highly used types of braided lines
on the market. Each of these are thin, durable options for any spinning
reel or baitcasting reel fishing scenario. It is important for fishermen
to explore a few different options when it comes to fishing lines. Some
may be better than others for the exact type of fishing they do most
often.
Bait casting rods are perfect for top water plug action with
comparatively heavy line. Their shorter length and heavier backbone
allow wrist action to make a plug walk. The better bait casting rods
will have a fast taper and comfortable hand grip.
The Teramar rod series was created for anglers from two very different
locations: the Southeast and the West Coast. As a result, we built two
unique series in one. Southeastern anglers will find perfect rods for
plug casting for snook, spinning on the flats or tarpon fishing under
passes. West Coast anglers have an array of rods that includes
trigger-stick casting rods for swim baits and jig sticks.
This rod will perform for lots of fish. From redfish in Florida, to
white sea bass in California, to bluefish in New England, it does
extremely well. the International series is the top of the line in the
Penn line-up.
NRX is the culmination of what G.Loomis has been doing since day one. We
have been continually striving to build the best rod on the planet.
Laminates, resin, mandrels, components and the know how you expect from
us. These NRX rods look like nothing we have built before. They feel
better than anything we have built before. We aren't talking about a
little better here or a little lighter there...What we are saying so
there is no confusion... This is the Best Bass Rod Ever Built! Period!!
The Avenger family of spinning reels is heralded for its combination of
construction, performance and affordable value. The Avenger ABF
Baitfeeder is no different. From walleye to catfish, stripers to
rockfish, Okuma's patented baitfeeding system allows for disengagement
of the spool and free-running line without opening the bail. Predators
are allowed to pick up a bait and run with little resistance as they
commit to eating… and providing for the best possible hook set. with a
turn of the handle the spool and drag system engage to set the hook and
fight the fish. Avenger ABF Baitfeeders begin at size 20 and continue
through size 90.

It can be intimidating to shop for seafood. You wonder if it's healthy
for you, you worry about whether it's overfished and whether it's caught
in ways that harm other species or the environment. Making smart
seafood choices has never been more confusing or more important for the
planet and our health.

Chef and seafood advocate Becky Selengut knows
from good fish, and in a voice that's informed but down-to-earth, she
untangles the morass surrounding seafood today. From shellfish to
finfish to littlefish, fifteen good fish are featured, and the
accompanying seventy-five recipes will appeal to a wide range of home
cooks: from beginners, to busy parents trying to put a healthy weeknight
meal on the table, to the more adventurous who want to create
special-occasion dishes.

Sommelier April Pogue provides wine pairings
for each recipe. Good Fish is an invaluable resource for anyone living
on the Pacific Coast. Chef Becky Selengut is an advocate for seafood
sustainability and seasonal, regional cuisine. Her writing has been
featured in Seattle Homes and Lifestyles and Edible Seattle magazines.

you will ever taste, so much so you will have to learn how to catch
walleye. If you like to eat walleye these are some of the easiest to
make, most mouth watering recipes for walleye that you will ever find.
Walleye are also very good for you, as all fish are. What more could you
ask for: Good for you and delicious!
The
first walleye recipe is very simple. Take your walleye fillet, and
sprinkle it with lemon pepper. Then, wrap slices of bacon around it.
Next, lightly grease your baking pan and gently place the fillets gently
in a row.
Bake on 350 degrees for 30 minutes and you will get a delicious tasting walleye meal.
The second recipe is called Walleye and Morel. Here are the ingredients:

1lb walleye

1/2 stick of butter

1 onion finely chopped

1 clove garlic minced

2 tablespoon tarragon vinegar

3 tomatoes, chopped

one handful morels, chopped

Saute all
ingredients but the walleye in butter for 5 minutes. Place walleye
fillets on top of this mixture, cover and simmer over low heat for 10
minutes. Next, remove fillets to a heated platter and cover to keep
warm.
Now, increase heat under mushroom and vegetable mixture to
boil the liquid down by half. Pour this sauce over the fish and your
done. This is my Very favorite recipe - period. If you do not have
morels, use store bought mushrooms.
Here is a recipe on stuffed walleye. Ingredients List:

1 walleye per person

8 -ounce can crab meat,shredded

8 ounces corn

2 cups mushrooms, sliced

1/2 loaf bread, cubed

2 ounces olive oil

1/2 teaspoon pepper.

Gut and scale the walleye
but leave the heads on. Wash the body cavity. Brown mushrooms in oil in
skillet. Add bread cubes and saute 10 minutes. Next, spoon mushrooms and
bread into large bowl and add the thawed corn, crab meat and
seasonings. Mix thoroughly. Hold fish upside down and fill body cavities

To
maintain its fresh and mouthwatering taste, here is a fast, fresh, and
simple baked walleye recipe that you sure will love.

Preparation time: Half an hour

Serves:
12 people (Tip: I made the recipe big, since baked walleye is always an
all time favorite. You can divide the recipe by 4's if you want to make
the serving smaller.)
Ingredients:
12 pcs of walleye fillet
360 grams of melted butter (this may be quite a lot, but it will definitely give flavor to the fish!)
Juice of 1 medium sized lemon
Sliced mushroom (quantity depends on how you want mushroom to be
part of the meal. But the ideal quantity is at least half to a cup)
1 medium sized onions, finely chopped
A pinch of salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

While you are preparing and cleaning your walleye
fish, go ahead and preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Combine
butter, salt and pepper, and your lemon juice in a bowl, and marinate
your walleye for a few minutes, or while you are waiting for your oven
to heat up. Get your baking pan, and make sure to grease it with some
melted butter, or line it up with a baking sheet. Arrange the walleye
fillet nicely, so they will not stick together. Get your mushrooms and
minced onions, and spread them generously on top and on the sides of
each walleye fillet to add color and flavor. Check your oven if it is
already preheated well, and place your baking pan inside.

Bake
your walleye for 15 to 20 minutes, or check it from time to time, to
make sure that you are not burning the fish. Basically, if the weather
is cooler, baking time takes a little longer. Fish do not need to cook
for a long time. In fact, once it turns into a different color, your
fish should be already done. You can also brush it with the left over
melted butter from time to time, to induce the flavor even more, and to
make your fish moist.

This recipe is best paired with hot steamed rice of your choice, fresh green salad, or baked potato.

Your family will surely be delighted with an extremely easy and healthy recipe that can be done in just a matter of minutes.

Download Here!!

Tip:
You can prepare raw walleye fillets ahead of time and place it inside
the freezer, which can last for not more than a week to maintain its
freshness. This is ideal for people who are always busy, and does not
have enough time to prepare and cook delicious meals every day.
If you're like most foodies, you probably don't eat much fish.
That's fine because at a day and age when most people only have time for
meals they can eat on the go, who can actually sit down and plan out a
recipe that involves fish? Or Google how to cook salmon? Not you, that's
for sure!
But
I tell you now, in the time it takes you to read this article, I can
show you not only how to cook salmon but cook it so well you can eat the
fish for 130 days and not grow tired of it!

Shall we start? Here's your first lesson on how to cook salmon.

1.
Take the salmon and cut it in the middle. Why the middle? Because you
want to create a "pocket". That won't happen if you cut the fish all the
way through.
2. Stuff small lemon slices into your "pocket". If
you're feeling adventurous, add some black pepper and about two cloves
of garlic, chopped.
3. Cover your salmon with aluminum foil but don't seal it off. Instead, close the foil loosely.
4. Heat oven (up to 350 degrees) and then pop your salmon in.
5.
Let the salmon cook for 8 to 10 minutes before you check to see if it's
fully cooked. Is the meat flaky? Heavy? If you feel that the fish is a
wee bit undercooked, put it back in the oven and wait for 3 to 4 minutes
more.

Finally, take your salmon out. Leave it in the foil for a
few minutes more before you serve it up with your favorite sauce.
Complement with butter, lemon, or marinara.

See? It's not so
difficult to learn how to cook salmon, is it? This recipe is simple and
takes little time to cook. Once you've mastered it, you can move on to
more difficult recipes that require use of a grill or a stove top.

Do you need a recipe for that massive Northern you simply caught? Northern Pike recipes vary from the ancient to the exotic. However you like to cook it, there are a few preparation tips to stay in mind.

First of all, lose the "y" bones by filleting the Northern. Those bones are one among the main reasons some folks say they do not prefer to eat pike. Learning to fillet could appear tough at 1st, however when a very little follow you may wonder why you haven't used the technique more. A northern pike meal is even better when you don't have to stress about bones. When filleting, the fish can keep a few days below refrigeration, however the earlier you eat it the better. You can freeze the fish for later, either individual items or the whole fish; freezing the fish in water with ocean salt or broth can add additional flavor. To preserve the feel, thaw the fish slowly within the refrigerator instead of beneath running water.

Northern pike can be successfully baked, fried, steamed, grilled, smoked, poached or employed in pie or stew. Because the flavor is terribly mild, the fish will be combined with many different ingredients such as lemon, parsley, potatoes and onions, mushrooms, green pepper, carrots, tomatoes, lime, inexperienced onion, completely different sorts of cheese and many spices.

If you opt to bake or fry the Northern, you'll dip it in egg or milk and then roll it in a variety of coatings. (Some Northern pike recipes recommend soaking the fish in milk for an hour or therefore within the refrigerator before you bread it.) You can get artistic using flavored bread crumbs, corn flakes, crushed potato or nacho chips, or pancake combine or use traditional boxed fish coatings. When you mix these with spices such as cayenne pepper and lime or lemon juice and your favorite vegetables, the chances are nearly endless. Serve the Northern with rice or potatoes and a inexperienced salad for a very healthy meal.

My favorite Northern Pike recipe (if you'll call it that) is catching, filleting, and pan frying the fish for a recent shore lunch!
