Laundry Day

On Fridays, I have a laundry party. It is precisely as fun as it sounds. Basically, my family of four generates about 7 loads of laundry per week. I do 1 or 2 on other days throughout the week, and I save the rest for Friday. So, generally, I have 5 or 6 on Friday. I start as soon as I wake up and move loads around until I have to go pick my kids up from school.

Half the time, I leave some of the kids' laundry for them to do practice folding. Other times, I just fold it all myself while I watch TV - Glee, or Modern Family. Even if I save some for the kids, I still fold or put away all the grownup clothes.

It is Farmers Market Season! I love going with my kids. Which Farmers Market is your favorite? We love the Dallas Farmers Market, but it is pretty far away from where we live. Luckily, the McKinney Farmers Market is really good and close! Here are some links to the local Farmers Markets.

Mommy Brain

Do you feel dumber after having kids? I hate Mommy Brain. It seems like I just can't get organized!

Every morning for the past week, I have had to go back home to get something I forgot. Once it was my laptop-not going to be able to do any work without that! One day it was my phone. One day, it was all of my potty trading daughter's extra clothes. And today, I forgot nap mats and a back pack. The back pack had the extra clothes and my daughter's breakfast.

Any suggestions, ladies? My biggest frustration is that all of this was packed and sitting by the door, and I still forgot!

How many kids do you invite for you child's birthday?

Do you use a rule like, half their age + one? I have a friend who did that.

Or, do you just invite the whole class?

Or, do you invite only family?

For my family, so far, we have only done family parties. I think this year, we will invite our neighboring family for my daughter's fourth birthday and let all the children go bowling or something like that.

Ok, You guys who know me on the forums and in real life, knew I couldn't let this go by since I am such a math nerd. I love Pi Day!

For those of you who don't rock the nerdy like I do, Pi (3.14159...) is 3/14 each year. Very exciting.

I think this year, we will have pizza for dinner and maybe smarties for dessert. Not exactly pie, but circles, nonetheless.
