I gave it thought and I decided to list all of those that were, someone that I would consider, my work spouse.

I came up with ten names of co-workers and of those, five would definitely be classified as someone I would readily consider my work spouse and three others that I could not classify as readily. The three that I think of would be someone that I was very close to, but for some reason or other, they could not be classified in the traditional sense of "work spouse." They were co-workers where we enjoyed break times and specific work projects together.

I will need to work on a classification for those three, but for the last one, that one is really special. Special because she was not my work spouse, could not be grouped in with the other three, but was clearly a special case.

I have to say that in the case of the ten that I refer to, nothing of a sexual nature ever happened. We never crossed any line, as we simply had emotional relationships - very close where we shared many things with one another, and clearly with little regard to anyone else at our respective work places.

USA TODAY WORK SPOUSE

As the article states, more men have feelings for their respective work spouse than the female would for their male spouse. I did. Again, boundries were respected and it was clearly understood. No mention was ever made because we genuinely enjoyed each other's company. I do have to admit that one of the five, did make clear to me of her feelings of my real spouse.

Another one of the five was much younger and very immature (as I was then, but the difference in age was 13 years) and always gave me the vibe of wanting more. I know it to be true now, but then, nothing would come to pass due to our mature, moral understanding of the universe. That one was a relatively short one, happened over a three year period and it was a whirlwind. I look back fondly on it because, again, no barriers or boundries were ever crossed. I suppose that you, my reader, cannot possibly fathom the fact that I did not take advantage of the situation. The relationships were genuine and it was at work and only at work. The relationships were real, but there were rules.

The special one, mentioned previously, is someone that it is still in my life - was a co-worker for a relatively brief period of time. It is amusing to me that due to our very still close relationship, her real spouse is wary of me. I have not worked with him and while he may be a "co-worker," I decided to not attend their wedding due to him being uncomfortable with his perceived belief of our relationship being something more than "work spouse" to one another.

I know that having a work spouse was good for me. I only hope that I was as supporting to them, as they were to me. It is all based on unique circumstances that one is able to have a work spouse - only two of the ten worked with me in my unit. The others worked for other units, in the same building or same facility.

There was another . . . I never considered her a work spouse but many of her peers considered us to be in a real relationship. That was news to me. It was shocking because the work relationship went bad when a younger female was hired to work in my unit and clearly this was much to her displeasure. The work relationship grew toxic between the two us and then she filed sexual harassment against a female co-worker and myself. I was shocked. This was one person whom I respected for her work ethic and I was somewhat sympathic to her plight: She immigrated from her country, somehwere in the caucus region of the former Soviet Union and there, she was educated, an instructor and doing well for herself. Here, she was a clerk. I suppose that that is life, but nothing changed my sympathies and her work ethic was something to admire. I helped her apply for job applications, helped her set her affairs straight after their home was robbed - such as placing fraud alerts for her financial items and for insurance coverage. I helped her, like I help many people.

Until I was accused of something that was not true. I never considered her a work spouse, but she considered me one and boy did it almost cost me everything.

I have to ask the President: what did you accomplish?

Mr. President, you shutdown 1/4 of our government and you keep lots of people from being paid, I have to ask: What did you accomplish?

I don't follow your twitter feed and I am only have what the media tells me and I am being told that you were schooled by a grandma. Yup, you petulant, little child, threw a tantrum and what did you get?

Nothing.

What did you do? You did damage to our National Parks. You denied people services that were legally supposed to be offered and you may have damaged the credit and financial lives of people those that happen to work for us, in government jobs. You also damaged the economy due to the negative output generated by the government - those days won't return and spending money to make up for that doesn't work - never has.

Mr. President,

I ask that you include in your next proposal of "border security" to include the following:

1. All businesses, of all sizes, must be a part of E-Verify.
2. Businesses that refuse to utilize E-Verify on their own, must be raided TODAY.
3. Begin with immigration enforcement in all households of those earning over 100K per year - you will find many employed in those homes as not having the proper employment papers.
4. Enforce verifications of the hotel/service industry. The food industry, farms and others, where we know illegal immigration is rampant.
5. Require foreign states to post a bond for everyone individual that wants to enter our country via a visa. We know that many are simply over-staying their visa. If the individual is not gone when the visa expires, that foreign state pays via the bond posted.
6. More money for inspections are borders and goods transport - as a country, we know that the vast majority of illegal goods enters through our ports uninspected. Having a wall will do nothing to stop illegal goods entering our country.
7. Spend money on more agents and equipment for border enforcement, along with drones, electronic sensors and cameras - much less expensive then a unmovable wall.

America doesn't need a wall if we have enforcement of our current laws and of those actions mentioned above.

Look at history - The great wall of china was meant to stop foreigners from enter China - it failed. Look at the Maginot Line in 1940, the Wehrmacht simply went around and over it.

Let's use American Technology, built by Americans, to protect Americans. If we build more barriers, who do you think is gonna build it? Americans? Are you kidding me?

rdnoriega@gmail.com (Roger D.
I have advocated for some time now and I will encourage the people behind this endeavor that there are other avenues to to solve congestion. I will address a few here.

Parking.

Charge more for parking in the congested areas or in the downtown circle. Make it more expensive for users to go to the area and leave their vehicles there.

Transit.

Reduce the price of transit. Make it free. Yes, someone has to pay, but I will get to that in a moment. As we are building new modes of transit, namely light right, fast transit, such as the Orange Line and Wilshire Rapid options in Los Angeles, we should and must, add to these services through out the county. Right now, $1.75 is rather inexpensive to ride, but the service is questionable and the roads are tough. With Prop 6 having failed, our roads will improve and with Metro M & P money, we will be able to expand transit, fast, reliable to the entire county, extending out from the Downtown Circle.

It is always about money and we need to go after cities to pay for transit entering and passing through their cities. A viable transit system is good for one and all and having multiple options, we will allow for many people to take transit instead. Yes, I am talking about Southern California and I know that we are the car culture center of the world. Great, but with more people moving in, our roads are bad and remain so. Let's target those that work in the congested areas. You want to drive to downtown, pay for parking. This money will go to increasing capacity on transit.

Parking on the roadway, increase the price as well and that too, will go to increasing the money going to transit.

Freeways.

Go ahead and add Metro Express Lanes. But, now, any expansion needs to come from the users, not everyone else. Those that use it, should and must pay for it. Many people will never use it and as such, will not have to pay for it - either its creation nor its continued usage.

I have given you three ideas to get the conversation going. Congestion pricing is the easiest and what does that mean: we all pay when we don't have to. Let's use what we have now and make it work.

rdnoriega@gmail.com (Roger D. I imagine that this will be a topic that I will be visiting again, soon enough. I have decided to begin reviewing episodes of certain programs, i.e., Fear The Walking Dead, The Last Ship, the new Star Trek series and maybe another one. Over time, I will post old reviews here and get back up to speed. I may even post on the method to my madness.

I have a writing goal and it begins with regular reviews on a regular basis. I have to write again so . . .
Today will pass, the calendar will turn the page and today will be another day for the books.

My relief is palpable, heck, I'm at a McDonald's for goodness sake! I should be at Carl's Jr., my customary place in similar circumstances. Alas, if I have money to spend, it will be McDonald's from here on - our debt to Ronald McDonald house must be repaid and paid forward.

One hour still . . .

Thursday, June 5, 2014 will be the day that I get to say no to all of the questions and a start, a commencement to resolution in this endeavor. I worried and worried and now, I no longer have time to worry, simply: I only have to do.

Today, I will get it done and move on. At this moment, I stand apart from the hustle and bustle around me, soon, I will return to that same and today will be a distant memory.

I thank you for reading.

rdnoriega@gmail.com (Roger D. Chris, ya did what was required of you, now, seek assistance for your anger issue and get better.

Your are a talented individual and now, you have the oppourtunity to get back to doing what you do best: entertaining us with your musical skill.

You have the talent and I, for one, can't wait for you to return to your music making. I am a fan that wants to see you do well, I'm rooting for you. I say you deserve what you got, you paid society's price for your misdeeds and now do what you do best: music.

Fair or not, you went to jail and you didn't act like a baby about it. Roberts has recently delivered his third novel in his exciting Ragnarok Rising Saga: The Crossing.

The nightmare continues to the survivors of Nathanial County, Missouri and the battle to keep hope alive rages everywhere.

From the Inside Cover:

You will learn to fear the dark.

After surviving the Freemen, Wylie and the others discover that the damage they took during the fight might have been far more extensive than they knew. With structural problems looming and the lack of arable land, they reach a dreaded decision. They must abandon the Underground.

Looking for a place that is not only defensible but provides the opportunity for long-term survival, they must set out on a dangerous journey to scout a new location. Strange new dangers await them, as they find what they thought was the perfect location. A terrifying new type of zombie stalks the valley where they want to make their home. A zombie that owns the night.

The journey to make their new home safe will take them to the distant shores of Lake of the Ozarks and through the zombie infested streets of Lebanon, Missouri. Wylie soon learns that people he thought were enemies can become friends…and friends can become enemies. A lesson that will cost them dearly.

Their journey to discover the origin of the new undead will take them back to the lake and to a shocking conclusion. Lives will change forever as they must accomplish the impossible in order to secure their new home. The realization that not all of them will survive to see their new community grow will take it’s toll on them. The safety of their new home will be purchased with blood.

Who will make...The Crossing?

As a reader and fan of Tom Clancy, the author of the "Techno-Thriller," I must tell you that we may have the heir to the creator of the "Techno-Thriller" in D.A. Roberts. In this saga, he creates a wonderfully taught and deep adventure that moves quickly and the pace of action tires the reader with constant action. Before you can take a breath, the un-dead alter the perceived safety of the survivors and reminds them that there is no safety in the Zombie-Apocalypse. The world, as we knew it, has, indeed, ended. Forever.

D.A. Roberts creates dread and drama so deep, that one cannot simply put the book down. You must see it through (the book), not unlike the survivors must assure their own safety. The drama is palpable, the dread is real and you know that the stench of death is just around the next page. At times you dread turning the page because you know that danger lies up ahead.

We are constantly reminded that there is no safety and there is a price to pay. Those that you think will survive - don't and those that you believe will die - will live another day.

The Crossing will exact a price from the reader, but it is one that will gladly be paid because like the survivors, you want to believe that there is hope when the world ends.

rdnoriega@gmail.com (Roger D. The fervor related to this one event is astounding when one considers that in the Bush Administration, there were similar events and it turns out that the Administration was culpable in some of those events by not properly preparing and not once, not once, was there an outcry from either side of conspiracies.

Sad.

Anyway, Benghazi, like the Birth Certificate will remain the realm of loons and crazies simply because of the current President.

Sad.

I have noticed that the noise being generated by these crazies has quieted a bit (maybe due to my being disconnected from the internet) and it dawned on me as to why: It is snowing/raining and in many parts of the nation, the weather is bad. So, you ask? Well, as I have sad before: loons and crazies need something to yell at and usually they simply yell at the rain and knowing that winter has arrived, the loons and crazies are doing what they do best: Yell at the rain/snow/wind. Why? It is what they do and in the absence of such weather, they yell at others via conspiracies and such.

Winter, the darkness and still of such, brings peace to those of us that simply require peace. It brings us warmth and a appreciation of all that is good and not so good in the world.

I must admit, without the crazies and loons of the world, and there are many, the rest of us wouldn't be able to appreciate what is good in the world.

Happy Holidays and Happy New Years.

Most recent:

I was driving to some place that I cannot recall, but I stopped near a school and on the opposite side of the street, I spied my ex, well, my first love. As she crossed the street and neared my vehicle, I reached out to surprise her and my youngest was in the car who reacted in a shocked manner. I looked back at her and through my facial gestures, I did my best to place her at ease: "I know what I am doing."

As she neared, I touched the small of her back and she immediately turned to me and recognized me. We engaged in polite conversation and she stated that she was in a rush and had to go. She leaned in through the window for a kiss on the cheek and then, leaned in to receive one from my daughter! Kinda surprised my daughter, but she went with the flow and didn't say a word until my ex left.

Kinda odd and yet, kinda real at the same time. Funny thing is that my youngest knows of my ex, but in this dream, she had no idea who this person was - kinda like the logic in the most recent Star Trek movie.

In another dream, I was back working at Carl's Jr. and I couldn't prepare a simple breakfast item: waffles! I would cook the item and yet, when it came time to hand the item to the customer, for some reason, I had to stamp the package and each time, I ended up stamping the waffle. Whatever.

In the first dream, I was in a zombie apocalypse. FINALLY! This is the dream that I remember least, but I remember most that it was in my new city where were we moved to, but it was all good and I was prepared (it was a dream because in real life, I am not prepared for the zombie apocalypse) for bear and it had a feel of the Ragnarok Rising series by DA Roberts to it.

All I remember is that the dreams were incredibly detailed and long.

Take a gander here.

Looking at the video, at :08, I can clearly see something that looks like the tail fin of a big jet that disappears from view and if you follow the movement, it fits the impact of the building.

We are assuming that this video is of 9-11 and of flight 77 and the pentagon. On that basis, if you check the video at :08, I see the tail fin.

One reason why I don't care for the kids at Loose Change and all others that say this didn't happen, is simply because I saw it live. I witnessed it. It was sad and horrible. I wish to remind the parents of those little kids that made up the documentary entitled "Loose Change," that as a parent, you failed in educating your children. You did so by never teaching them common sense. You failed and now, these juveniles are piddling their made up story. I've said it before: their documentary is slick and well produced, they should move to Hollywood where they can have a chance at making movies. I haven't heard much about them after Popular Mechanics and Popular Science tore them a new a-hole.

That mysterious plane flying around Washington D.C.? AOC. Airborne Operations Command. The reporter that reported that Building 7 was already down when it had not fallen yet. When have reporters gotten all of their facts straight and how often did the news media have to retract their statements and issue corrections?

Our leadership failed on the fateful day. The simple implication that our government was skilled enough to pull of this operation is simply unfathomable. I work in government, have these kids that claim it was a massive government conspiracy ever worked with or for a government agency?

If our good friend is enduring something that you have gone through or at least now about, you would tell 'em, right? This isn't a moral dilemma - you help your buddy if it is at all possible. Just this past week, word arrived that talks have been on for a new agreement with the people of the Philippines on a troop-rotation. Rotation? We already have soldiers fighting in the south of the country (Oh, I mean anti-terrorist training stuff) and the Philippine government is already telling their people that it will be for a short time.

Let me see: China is making noise about the Spratly Islands,

Spratly Islands

has been for a short while now. The Philippines sent a ship that was run ashore to certify their claim to the island chain. Everyone in the area pretty much claims the islands and there is nothing on these islands, nothing.

I do recall a U.N. declaration not too long ago about being able to claim parts of the ocean if your continental shelf extends out to sea and where it does so, your country has exclusive gas rights. This is already causing a big issue in the Arctic: Russia is claiming the north pole due to continental shelf extension . . . Canada also lays claim and the United States simply ignores this convention.

Anyway, there could be a great deal of gas under the Spratly Islands, ergo, everyone wants those specs of dirt floating in the South China Sea. This is also a major reason why the governments of China and Japan are dancing around the Senkaku Islands

Senkaku islands

(China refers to them as the Diaoyu Islands) and the same argument also applies here: continental shelf really comes in to play here and this muddies up the claim for China.

So, what is the big deal with the Spratly's? Well, for one, it is called containment. It seems clear that American Foreign Policy is looking to get back in the game in Asia and their old buddy, their poor-old buddy has a potential claim to untold gas riches and they can't take on the big kid in the neighborhood: China.

As in the movie, "My Bodyguard," The Philippines have called on their old colonial buddy and WWII liberator to help fend off the neighborhood's big kid with another, bigger kid. All for the money, potential money.

More troops rotating into the Philippines? You guessed it: we are going there to support our colonial buddies and our troops are going into harm's way. We've seen this before and while the war on terrorism continues or winds down as some are postulating, we are positioning ourselves for the next engagement.

Ask the Vietnamese about troops rotating in. Ask Europe about our NATO alliance to fend off the Warsaw Pact. Have no illusion, our troops are going in and will go in for a long, long time. This is just the start. To the people of the Philippines: we are coming to stay for a long time. You may wants us on that wall, you may need us on that wall . . . Can you handle the truth about American troops returning to the Philippines?

The article is here.

The word is not offensive. This word is not the n-word where that word has no positive meaning whatsoever. "A chink in one's armor" is a phrase that I have used often, in the past. I am very careful in using it today only because people are so freaking sensitive AND stupid. Why stupid? They are not listening to my use of the word, much in the same manner as I am writing about it right now.

In the article, the neighborhood claims that the use of the word "chink" for "Chink's Steaks" is not racist, it is a term of endearment. The article states that the term was given to the owner due to their "almond eyes."

Yeah, dude, that is racist. Was then, is now.

The owner, of all people, has decided to change the name because they realize how people can perceive the name. The owner is actually being sensitive to their . . . wallet. Smart business, actually. Though business is down 10%, people will return if the food and service is good. This is a temporary blip and we will return to norm, unless the people remain stupid AND that is a very real possibility. Look, we are talking about Philadelphia here.

Amazing that those in the neighborhood are pissed because of a name change and they express their anger at such with vandalism. Philadelphia? Check, that is spot on for the city of 'brotherly love.' Why don't they channel their anger at the murder rate, poverty, political or racial strife? Do something good with your anger instead of wanting to keep the status quo . . . oh wait, that is racism in a nutshell.

rdnoriega@gmail.com (Roger D.
http://dcclothesline.com/2013/07/21/hawaii-elections-official-swears-that-no-obama-long-form-birth-certificate-exists/?fb_source=pubv1

Are we still posting this stuff? Talk about living in the past.

In the post, this nobody claims that officials told him . . . who are these officials? Show some cajones and name them! Elections official? I had no idea that a "Election Official" had actions to live birth information? A sworn affidavit? Where is the sworn affidavit? I haven't seen it and where was it submitted and to whom?

Whatever dude.

There are a few people that actually did a little bit of homework on this and these guys are known for doing investigations.

http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/birthers/birthcertificate.asp

It has been said: "If you don't read your history, you are bound to re-live it."

Give it up, it's over and continuing to cry about it changes nothing.

rdnoriega@gmail.com (Roger D. If I ask someone a question, is it really too much to ask for you to ANSWER the question? It seems to be too much to ask as I was removed as a "Facebook Friend."

rdnoriega@gmail.com (Roger D.

The results were grim. Liver problems, potential water-borne diseases and much, much more. The cat is dying and we were told to take him to the pound.

This cat came to me, to us and in the many moments of depression and hopelessness, this cat sat with me and stayed with me. It didn't judge me nor did it take pity on me - he simply sat with me and shared his company and his love.

My youngest understands and is shedding tears in her room. I know the cat is suffering right now and I am waiting for her to make this horrendous decision, the decision to let go and to take him to the pound. Am I wrong in this? Should I just do it, now?

Once I take that feline, there is no coming back and the pain in my throat is real and troublesome. I am not ready to let go, so I feel bad, knowing that the cat is not well. I suppose that I am simply stalling.

Monday. We'll do it on Monday.

We were at war, i mean real war and all around the world. It was specific and clear.

I was at some sort of appointment and on the way home, we learned if the global clash. I remember checking out google maps for locations. I do know that we gathered, family and friends at one of my old homes and we learned of the sinking of the carrier Roosevelt and the battleship Oklahoma.

The IAF was holding its own. In addition to the Roosevelt, we were mourning the loss of about 10K French (not specific if on the carrier or part of the task force).

We witnessed the attempted bombing of a hybrid cargo ship that supports/supported the Roosevelt by a WWII bomber. That ship was as fast as the SDF-1 avoiding Zentradi missiles.

I went to my third grade classroom where we gathered to watch a Indiana Jones movie. Ariel was pissed, she had to wait for us outside my old house on Ferguson.

Lots of crazy stuff.

At my third grade classroom, my employer was finally conducting its interrogation of my attacker and one of the investigators was giddy because there was proof that i had removed my attacker's name from some list.

The general feeling was that after the first day, we were winning the war and that we would do so, again, as we had in the last two conflicts over the last two decades - but this, there would be no settlement: we were in it till the end!

rdnoriega@gmail.com (Roger D.
