2009-06-09T10:58:00.000-07:00

Under Normal Circumstances we would have left this guy alone, BUT eggs and baby chickens were on its Meal Plan, so we escorted it from the coop and said Goodbye.

It had been storming in Florida all week, however the weather was nice for us! The wind and waves were rough for picture taking, but we still manage to get a few. You can hear the wind blowing in the video.

So When you run out of "white" eggs to dye, what do you do.....

Well, here we dyed the "white" chickens too.
LOL!
They really didn't mind and it doesn't hurt them, or we wouldn't have let them be divas for a few days.

MORE SNOW ......

Our Sleigh Dog

2009-03-01T06:07:00.000-08:00

Nicki Likes to pull Arthur, the Golden Retreiver, across the house, but here he is puling Emily. He is strong for such a little guy! When we loked at the official AKC information Pomeranians are bread down from sleigh dogs, so I guess it is in his blood! He is the perfect dog for Em! He is very playful and loves to be loved!

SNOW IN MARCH

2009-03-01T06:00:00.000-08:00

Well here we are in the SOUTH getting Snow in March!!!
My idea of Winter in the "South" is that of my childhood home in Central Florida.
I keep looking outside expecting winter to be over!
I need to remind myself that we are 8 plus hours North of "home".

Here we are at 730 this morning.

Sean's Granola

Autumns Splendor

2008-11-06T04:40:00.000-08:00

The leaves are once again changing to all those beautiful colors that fall seems to bring.
You can not help but admire the vast array of red, gold, and orange.
I find myself wanting to linger and admire the beauty in the crisp cool air.
Spring is always pretty , with the new buds and blooms , but autumn just offers something so very special of its own.
Even those who typically do not care for the beauty of nature seem to be awed by the display that this season brings.

As the weather cools it also reminds me that the Holidays are approaching, rather quickly.
I find myself torn between wanting to shop until I drop and get my gift list knocked out, or just enjoy the evenings with a cup of warm cocoa or cider. (Neither which are very healthy, but they are fun!)

It also starts the season of baking and gift making, which leaves me torn.
As we get ready to make our treats I would prefer to make raw vegan dishes for our friends, BUT I doubt that it would be enjoyed by all the recipients and the cost of doing so would also drastically alter our plans for making treats as gifts.

So... I think I will stick with tradition here and make those things that are pleasing to most palates. I will however modify recipes to a healthier version, wherever possible.

I hope that you are all enjoying the weather and your families.

Try not to get to busy to enjoy the Season.

Playing ball

Dancing in TN

2008-10-06T06:09:00.001-07:00

When we went to Tennessee last month, they had dance steps on the sidewalk. I thought it was neat. You could follow the steps to learn the dance. If you were not to emabarassed to do it on the sidewalk. The dog liked it, and the girls did as well, but I was forbidden to take pictures of them dancing, too bad! It was fun! As you can tell by the video, this is not my day job!

Another neat plant

2008-10-06T03:57:00.000-07:00

I had hubby pick a few sweet potatoes for me to make oven fries.
My words to him were "pick a handful of sweet potatoes that I can cut up for fries".
When he asked if one would do, I thought he was being silly. but NO!
One is a HANDFUL as you can see!

I am so glad that we planted these!
I love sweet potatoes!
