Whether it's the beginning of a new calendar, religious,  business year which stimulates us. Or for personal reasons you feel it's  time to wipe the slate clean and begin anew. Regardless your reason,  instead of starting from scratch, with all-new ideas and plans, if you  start with updating previous goals, you may be re-inspired to achieve  what you originally resolved to do.&lt;br /&gt;

We all have long-held dreams and  goals. Those we'll likely never let go regardless what life brings.  Instead of wiping the slate clean, if some goals are still worthy of  achievement, why not rethink and update them. Refine, tweak and  streamline them. To meet new needs, changes, desires and goals.&lt;br /&gt;
Here's 5 Simple Tips to Help You Reach Your Goals:&lt;br /&gt;
1.  Discuss your new goals with someone you trust. It always helps to share  your thoughts and goals with those who care and share your interests.  It can also open up a discussion which prompts suggestions which may  help refine your goals.&lt;br /&gt;
Plus it serves to encourage you;  confirming you're not alone in your pursuits. Someone's on the sidelines  rooting for you who wants you to succeed. Not only that, sharing  provides another dividend. Once you've shared, you've claimed those  goals. This helps further motivate you; propel you toward your goals.&lt;br /&gt;
2.  Write down your goals or resolutions. Mark Victor Hansen says, "By  recording your dreams and goals on paper, you set in motion the process  of becoming the person you most want to be. Put your future in good  hands - your own."&lt;br /&gt;
3. Resolve to discover and try at least one new  method of reaching your goals. Whether it's trying a new marketing  method, self-help, business group or health club you join, a new class  you take or experience you gain working with someone new or a  non-profit, commit and stick to it. Reach out and beyond your comfort  zone and you'll not only enlarge your sphere of relationships, this new  openness can aid in reaching your goals. Bring you a new job, clients,  unexpected but welcome business ventures.&lt;br /&gt;
4. Have a simple plan  and set reachable goals. As the saying goes, "Rome wasn't built in a  day". Keep that in mind and divide your goals into manageable chunks.  Each goal, or portion of a goal, reached will help keep you optimistic  and challenged to continue moving forward.&lt;br /&gt;
5. Celebrate each goal  reached regardless how small. Whether it's an espresso at Starbucks with  a co-worker or a simple meal with friends, sharing your success with  others invites encouragement. Helps spur you on to greater achievements.&lt;br /&gt;
Think  of your goals and resolutions as inspirations which lead you to the  fulfillment of your dreams. Not changes which must be made but  challenges which help you grow and succeed.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="article-content" style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;     As each year draws to a close, it is customary for folks to enter  the New Year with a fresh set of New Year Resolutions. We make a list  of things we want to stop doing and those we want to start doing. New  Year resolutions have become the butt of jokes because most resolutions  do not go the distance. Most folks slip back to status quo in less than  two months into the New Year. It seems they do not have what it takes to  go the distance.&lt;br /&gt;
That is exactly the point. Most New Year  resolutions fall beyond the realm of our current capabilities. To  perform at that level, you need a new you. The old you have taken you as  far as it could take you. To proceed further, you need to upgrade. The  focus and effort should be on the new you rather than improved  performance which comes naturally as an outflow of the new you. For  instance, if you are a smoker desiring to stop smoking, the best area to  focus your energies is creating an identity as a non smoker. By the  time you become a non smoker, stopping smoking comes naturally as a  consequence of being a non smoker. The change occurs from the inside out  and not from outside in.&lt;br /&gt;
The typical approach is to attempt to  stop smoking as a smoker. While you may succeed temporarily, your  identity as a smoker pulls you back to the habit you are trying to break  away from. If you try to lose weight as a fat person, you are facing an  uphill task. When, you see yourself as a slim person, soon you start  eating and exercising in alignment with that image. Becoming slim on the  outside becomes only a matter of time.&lt;br /&gt;
Everything is created  twice. The first creation is a mental one, in the realm of the  imagination. If you cannot see it, you cannot have it. Trying to have  without first seeing it is like trying to build without a blueprint. You  will be all over the place and will soon give up in frustration. For a  New Year resolution to translate to a concrete goal and ultimately an  achievement, you have to invest in your personal growth and development  so that you can sustain the effort required to raise your game to the  domain where your desired achievement or results lie. To attain the  level of self discipline required to achieve certain tasks, you need to  grow to that level.&lt;br /&gt;
The transition from an amateur school athlete  to an Olympic medallist takes more than a mere desire to perform at that  level. It involves commitment to personal development to develop the  required mental toughness, physical fitness and training regimen to step  up your game to the Olympic level. It requires putting together the  right Team (coaches, fitness trainers, doctors, nutritionists,  psychologists etc), the right exercise regimen, training schedule,  enrolment in competitions, improving your performance and ultimately  taking a shot at the Olympic and world records, if you are to stand a  fighting chance of winning a medal. Achieving your goals is an inside  job. If it does not happen on the inside, making it a New Year  resolution does not help much.&lt;br /&gt;
If you want to go beyond the ritual  of yearly New Year resolutions and actually achieve the change you  desire, you have to start on the inside. Create a new you. Change your  mindset, self image, dismantle self imposed limitations, create a new  identity, self image, beliefs and paradigm before you attempt to step  into a brand new day. You have to see it first before you attempt to  reach out for it. Become an athlete, a writer, a speaker, a non smoker, a  slim person, a mountaineer, whatever it is you want to achieve before  you attempt the doing. If you truly become who you want to be on the  inside, the doing part flows naturally. The secret to a Happy New Year  is a Happy New You.&lt;br /&gt;

Their answer can tell you a lot about their passion. Passionate teachers sometimes say it's because they love to teach, doctors commonly say it's because they want to help people and someone who works in finances has a thing for money, all these answers will tell you about some passion they have for their jobs. This is what makes them GOOD at their jobs.&lt;br /&gt;
Passion goes along hand in hand with a person's purpose in life because if not passion, what is going to drive you to be the best at your job? You can say you "need" to work to support your family, but that sort f drive doesn't necessarily make you happy, I don't want to say it's a burden but I'm pretty sure that person has another passion that they just couldn't follow because of circumstances. So how is your Purpose in Life going to affect your future? It will in many ways, take a lady for example who has gone into the business of skin care.&lt;br /&gt;
Char always had skin problems growing up; sure we all go through bad skin phases in our teens but everyone doesn't know what it is like to have to deal with acne. Acne is terrifying no matter what age you are, but it's especially dreadful to have it going through high school. &lt;br /&gt;
Imagine being that girl or boy who gets looked at because of these pimples on your face and not because of the color of your eyes. People are shocked at the number of pimples on your face rather than the cute freckles. You don't enjoy chocolates because no matter how good they taste you think they will make your acne worse. Every time you meet someone the first thing they notice is your acne, no matter how sexy you are, how good your grades are, even if you're wearing a new dress or you just got your hair colored, it's the acne that's always seen first. This is something you can never quite understand unless you've been there.&lt;br /&gt;
Then you become an adult, no more teasing in school, no more proms that you don't go to, no more getting stared at, or not that much at least, but the acne is still there! So now you're looking for a solution, anything to get rid of this pain in your butt! So you try what is supposed to be the best acne solution there is, then your world goes crashing down. What you thought was bad has become worse, the skin treatment did not only fail to work, but it actually made your acne worse. This is when Char just became completely fed up. It doesn't matter what your life struggles may have been or what brought you down even what keeps you up, anything passion can be made into a career. Look at people who are mentors or life and business coaches, many if not most of them have stories that brought them to what they do. People who were so deep in debt that they could hardly see any light become financial coaches and help people get out of debt. People who have been homeless and who have lived on the streets help people in financial trouble get up on their feet and make a change in their lives. People who have failed in business turn out helping people make their failing businesses work!&lt;br /&gt;
There are even those who have been abused, raped, assaulted and who have been in accidents that make their stories ones that people can relate to, even celebrities. They tell their stories and start awareness programs so people don't have to hide or be ashamed anymore because being a victim is not something you should be blamed for or feel wrong about, it's something you should be helped for.&lt;br /&gt;
So whatever your passion is, you can make it your purpose in life. If you don't know where to start, that's okay. You just need to follow these steps:&lt;br /&gt;
1. Grab your notebook, a journal or even your laptop and write down some struggles you've had in your life. They can experiences in school, at home, with family or friends, anything that was a struggle in your life no matter how long ago or how small it may seem, as long as you remember what and why.&lt;br /&gt;
2. After you've listed down your struggles, go over them and look for the theme. Do they seem to be connected somehow? Is there something similar about why those struggles took place? Is there an underlying reason, a mindset or even a habit connection the list?&lt;br /&gt;
3. Think about how you resolved these issues. What did you do, how did your react, how were they solved?&lt;br /&gt;
4. Now write down what you learned from these struggles and what your learned from the solutions. This is going to tell you about skills you have I you that you may not have thought of before.&lt;br /&gt;
5. Now think about someone else going through what you went through, are the things you learned something that could benefit someone else? Are these insights you can share that will help people? If someone had told you what you had to learn the hard way when you were going through those problems would it have helped you?&lt;br /&gt;
6. Now look at the whole picture, watch it as if it were a movie and create an ending. Is this passion something you can make a life out of? This is what I hope has become your purpose in life.&lt;br /&gt;
Life is not simple, but it can be simpler. You can make things better and make life more of what you want it to be, you just need to move in the right direction and maybe, just maybe, you can help move someone else's life in the right direction too.&lt;br /&gt;

I've been doing quite a bit of thinking and praying about the idea of  taking our thoughts captive as Christians. What does the Bible say?  Look at Philippians 4:9 with me...&lt;br /&gt;
"Finally, brothers and sisters,  whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is  pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent  or praiseworthy-think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or  received or heard from me, or seen in me-put it into practice. And the  God of peace will be with you."&lt;br /&gt;
There is so much here, it's not  even funny. The end is the clincher for me though. I will have the peace  of God if I practice thinking this way. What way? I believe we cannot  classify our thoughts by looking at just one category. Yes, something  may be true, but if its not also pure, lovely and praiseworthy I  shouldn't be dwelling on it.&lt;br /&gt;
My thoughts control my life. I think  more so since I am a writer and words are constantly rolling around in  my head. Add to that, the fact that I am a woman and you'll know there  are more than enough thoughts running through my head at any given  moment.&lt;br /&gt;
So What to do with thoughts that don't make it on God's  list? Thoughts of anger, frustration, jealousy, sorrow, loneliness and  the like. I have to remember the end of the above verse. If I practice  what the Lord would teach me, then I will be at peace. If I dwell on  things I shouldn't then it should be of no great surprise that I do not  have peace. Have you ever tried to be frustrated with someone and be at  peace at the same time? I can honestly say I have tried, but it doesn't  work.&lt;br /&gt;
If someone offends me, even if I am justified in being hurt,  I have a choice to make.&lt;br /&gt;
I can hold onto the hurt and be  miserable, or I can let it go and be at peace.&lt;br /&gt;
Some days I can do  this better than others. Today, I am kicking myself for not being  careful enough with my words. In my haste to communicate my "thoughts" I  hurt someones feelings and now I feel bad. I have asked for  forgiveness, but I keep thinking things like, "what if I had said this,  or changed that..."&lt;br /&gt;
I realize now as I am writing this down that I  have not taken my thoughts captive.&lt;br /&gt;
So here it goes. Although it  is true that I spoke in haste, it is more true that the Lord has given  me the opportunity to ask for forgiveness.The excellent and praiseworthy  result from my mistake is that the Lord is a God of restoration and He  allows me to make it right with the person I hurt. I am so thankful that  I do not have to walk through this life alone and sad. I am thankful  for the truth that Jesus loves me and is right in everything He is and  does. I can practice being purposeful in my speech and tender with my  words.&lt;br /&gt;
Peace is worth humbling myself before the Lord and the  people He puts in my life.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;div id="article-content"&gt;     I took the plunge into running my own business fairly late in my  life. That's not to say, however, that I only recently became interested  in the subject. In fact, I have either invested or wasted a good amount  of time and emotion envying other entrepreneurs. Perhaps, if you've  been as tepid as I have, you may be more than a little amazed at the  number of young twentysomethings who, usually while still in college or  living out of a beach shack someplace, put together some kind of kiosk  or something similar and made it work. Even more maddening has been  that, at least from my perspective, it appeared as though they just up  and did it - hardly a second thought about it. One night they are  surviving on Ramen noodles, the next day features them on the cover of  Inc. Magazine.&lt;br /&gt;

I am certainly not alone in asking "How did they do  it?" I wonder, however, how many others ask "What &lt;em&gt;let &lt;/em&gt;them do  it?" What is the mental attitude which allowed them to jump into their  new venture, when so many times in my life, I've been held back?&lt;br /&gt;
Of  course, there are many factors influencing entrepreneurship. A lot of  them are external. I friend of mine in the insurance business who almost  launched a product which sounded too good to be true, at least to me.  As of this writing, it's still on the drawing board. I hope it is not  too political to say that the passage of the health care act gave my  friend enough uncertainty that they wanted to wait a few years and  observe the law's full implementation. Business experts alternatively  call this either a changing political or changing business climate,  neither of which is influenced by my friend's thinking. But what if I  also told you that they had been thinking of this idea &lt;em&gt;for a good  ten years&lt;/em&gt; prior to the passing of the health care law? During the  first seven or eight years of this, my friend's limitations were  internal! They worried about what would happen if they would fail.&lt;br /&gt;
Here  is a point I only understood as a theory until about a year ago. I  respect it a lot more now because I have experienced it.&lt;br /&gt;
Once you  have a good idea, of course it is good for you to test it. Get good  counsel. Find whatever necessary financing you need. Minimize risks  whenever you can. But once the season of planning is over, &lt;em&gt;it is  time to take massive action on it&lt;/em&gt;. Run into the fire, and run  through it as quickly and completely as you can. Take record of your  mistakes, make the necessary adjustments, and then run through the fire  again. This one change has made almost the entire difference between the  "tried to's" I have attempted in the past, and the success I have only  begun to experience now.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;div id="article-content"&gt;     Bruce Lee is a legend of the martial arts community. In his time,  Lee not only trained in the ancient art of Wing Chun, but he also put  it to use in both traditional and questionable means. Lee was always  known for getting in to fights when he was living in Hong Kong. He even  once beat up the son of a Triad leader. According to one Bruce Lee bio,  this was the last straw, as some talk was going around thereafter that  Lee had a contract out on his life. Lee's parents sent him to live with  his older sister in San Francisco pre-1960. While there, he would refine  his craft as a martial artist and eventually found his own style that  borrowed philosophies from many of the ancient arts that had turned Lee  into such a master. Lee's new style was called Jeet Kune Do, or "the way  of the intercepting fist."&lt;br /&gt;

Unlike many of the traditional  teachers of martial arts, who urged against combat unless entirely  necessary, Lee seemed to welcome it. According to the Bruce Lee bio, he  got in to many fights throughout his short time on the earth. He was a  frequent target of criticism from the Chinese community for teaching the  ancient arts to Caucasians. It even led to a confrontation between Lee  and another master with the stipulation that if Bruce lost he would have  to cease teaching the art to the western world. Lee fought the  challenger in a highly contested bout, which occurred in private. The  challenger claims that he did not lose and that the fight went on for  20-25 minutes, while the Bruce Lee bio said that the challenger was  vanquished in just 3 minutes. Neither man relented in their telling of  the story. He did challenge Lee to a public rematch that was never  accepted. Lee continued teaching his martial arts.&lt;br /&gt;
Lee's unique  skills eventually earned the attention of Hollywood, who put him to work  right away in features such as "Way of the Dragon," "Enter the Dragon,"  and "Game of Death," that would change the way that people thought  about the martial arts movie. He was also noted for a starring role in  the classic "Green Hornet" TV series as sidekick Kato, who stole the  show with his unique fighting abilities. In spite of his devotion to  western culture, Lee was railroaded out of the lead role in "Kung Fu"  due to his race.&lt;br /&gt;
Lee died in 1973. His official cause of death was  cerebral edema, though there have been many theories over the years  from a reaction to cannabis to Triad murder to a curse over his family  backed by the untimely death of son Brandon. Depending on which Bruce  Lee bio you read, the cause of death seems to be different!&lt;br /&gt;

We often hear "what goes around comes around." Some people think this  is a good, if brief, explanation of the law of karma. However, it is a  distorted and over-simplified understanding of a deeply complicated and  highly nuanced spiritual law because it bypasses the important truth  that we, like life itself, are very complicated and that the energies we  engender take on a life of their own as they circulate through our  lives and the lives of others. Our actions do not stand alone like  telephone poles, but are connected, just like a row of telephone poles  we might see along a stretch of highway, all connected by the very cable  they support. Karma is the energetic residue or byproduct of our  actions that remains in the sphere of human events for a very long time,  like cigarette smoke (unpleasant or negative karma) or food aromas  (pleasant or positive karma) which linger in a closed room long after  the actions which created them are over. This is easy to see in cases of  violence and abuse of children. If no one intercedes and facilitates  the healing of the child, later the child may very well re-enact what  was done to him, creating another generation of injured souls, who may  do the same. This is also true of positive karma. They who have received  great kindness and generosity are as likely to pay it forward as they  who have suffered at the hands of others.&lt;br /&gt;

If simplistic platitudes  misrepresent the spiritual truths about the nature of karma, how then  shall we think of it? How does it affect our lives and the lives of  others? And how can we learn to create less negative karma and more  positive? Translated from Sanskrit, karma means "action." In traditional  Buddhist teachings, from which we take our modern ideas of karma,  skillful action brings about positive karma and unskillful action  produces negative karma. The importance of the terms "skillful" and  "unskillful" cannot be overstated because they take a lot of the  traditional Judeo-Christian sting and judgment out of our notions about  karma, replacing, as they do, Western language like "virtue" and "sin,"  which connote not just judgment of our actions, but retribution for them  if they have been "sinful."&lt;br /&gt;
Skillful actions are those that are  based upon the wholesome understanding that all life is transitory and  that, ultimately, no one can harm us if we remain unmovable in our  belief that our consciousness exists independent of our body. In Western  parlance, we would say that no one can harm our soul which is the only  part of us that cannot be destroyed and is of permanent value. And so,  our skillful actions benefit our consciousness, or soul, and help us to  free ourselves from the negative impact of karma.&lt;br /&gt;
We engage in  unskillful actions in our day-to-day lives when we react to things that  hurt or frighten us. Because we tend to believe that things around us  are of permanent importance in our lives we react with aversion or  attachment to events and people. If we can maintain the realization that  all things are transitory and of much less value than we think, we are  able to generate far less negative karma and remain firm in our  commitment to preserve our peace and equanimity.&lt;br /&gt;
If, on the other  hand, we indulge our temperamental reactions which are based either upon  our skillful or unskillful means we begin to create karma. This is why  attachment (excessive affection or hero-worship) and aversion (hatred)  are to be avoided through spiritual practices which free us from these  positive and negative attachments; all of these practices are based on  meditation. If you create strong feelings around an experience the  energy which was created during the experience, and later as you mull it  over, tends to remain in the energy field perpetuating itself unless  and until the opposite energy dilutes its strength and nullifies its  influence.&lt;br /&gt;
A simpler way of thinking of karma is to envision  subtle air currents. Once we set these currents in motion they continue  and are no longer under our control. When you exhale you cannot control  where your breath goes. These currents mix as they move about and  interact with other air currents which have been set in motion by  others. Like the telephone poles, they do not stand alone. Negative  karma which we have set in motion is mitigated by our skillful and  positive actions and thus can be redirected and neutralized. Remember,  all the karma we create mingles with our group and family karma and with  the effects of the karma of others.&lt;br /&gt;
Can We Control Karma? I once  complained to a martial arts teacher that my knee hurt as I did the  form. He said, "There is nothing wrong with your knee. You are using it  badly. You are not practicing awareness." He went on to instruct me on  focusing my awareness in the knee as I did the form. I was astounded at  how deeply I could experience the inner workings of my knee as I kept it  in proper alignment throughout the form. The pain stopped. &lt;br /&gt;
Awareness is the most powerful agent we can bring to bear in  creating and experiencing the effects of karma. Even when we are engaged  in activities that we know are fundamentally unskillful or motivated by  negative desires and emotions, we can demand of ourselves that we  maintain an honest awareness of what we are doing. This, at least,  enables us to reconcile our outer world with our inner world. By  maintaining this coherence, we at least do not deceive ourselves and,  thus, our positive energies can influence us in the end.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;div id="article-content"&gt;     &lt;strong&gt;We've all seen it during our school days.&lt;/strong&gt; The  giant red F at the top of the page of homework, or a test. Even if you  went through school with a 4.0 (you perfectionist, you) you probably  have had nightmares about how soul-crushing it would be to get one. I  got one F during my entire academic career (math test), and I remember  exactly what it looked like, and its position on the page. It's seared  into my memory, because of what it stood for: failure. Of course, the  really insidious thing about failure is it causes another F - fear. Fear  is like a decease, crippling and devastating if allowed to run rampant  in the human frame. So, to avoid fear, we should do everything we can to  avoid failure, right?  &lt;br /&gt;
Wrong. I think we need to embrace failure. Failure's ok, and I'll  tell you why.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;1. You learn from failure.&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;br /&gt;
Success doesn't teach you half of what failure teaches you. Failure  shows you what you have yet to learn, ways you can improve, and (if you  let it) can be the best stepping stone to success. However, if you take  your failure personally and refuse to learn from it, the would-be  stepping stone gets tied around your neck and you get hurled into the  ocean. You have to be able to step back from the inherent emotional  risks of failure and look for the lessons, or fear will consume you. You  must also remember that failure will tend to effect you emotionally if  you stake your entire identity on the project in question: be sure to  work towards success in other areas of your life so a failing in one can  be taken as a learning experience; it's difficult to learn when your  entire foundation for your identity has dropped out.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;2.  Failures show that you're pushing yourself.&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;br /&gt;
People who push the boundaries of their talents and constantly learn  and grow tend to succeed. If you haven't made a mistake, had a failure,  you're probably staying well within your comfort zone and not  fulfilling your potential. If something scares you, do it. Fear of  failure can be crippling, but only if you run away from it. If you run  towards the projects you fear the most, you'll grow exponentially. Yes,  you might fail dismally, but you might be more creative and ingenious  than you think and be able to figure it out. Either way, you've learned  and grown, if you have the right attitude about failure.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;3.  Small failures keep you from catastrophic failures. &lt;/strong&gt; &lt;br /&gt;
Once you make a mistake on a small scale and learn from it, you are  unlikely to make the same mistake on a larger scale. Imagine a visionary  architect who sets out to build a building that seems impossible to  most other architects. He draws dozens of pictures of the building, and  is constantly changing and refining his design. He builds scale models.  He shows the ideas to his friends and illicits their advice. He does the  math, researches different building materials and finally has the  complete picture and builds the impossible building. What's he done  here? He's essentially failed over and over again. When his colleagues  tell him a certain part of the building won't work, he's failed a little  bit. As he draws and refines the building, the design changes as he  fails to get the correct design, over and over again. Perhaps he has to  scrap the whole basis of the idea and start clean.&lt;br /&gt;
He's failed.  Perhaps he realizes while he's making the scale models that something  aspect of the building needs to change. Back to the drawing board, he's  failed. But finally, when he's done due diligence and the building is  built, it's beautiful. It's a success. All the small setbacks and  mistakes - all of the small failures - have kept the final building from  being a failure. Imagine if the architect just went to the building  site and winged it. He would be pulling a lot of nails.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;4.Failures  change your behavior for good.&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;br /&gt;
Speaking of architects, there's a house in town that is a fine  example of a huge, resounding failure. It's a big, beautiful high-end  house, and it sits, nearly finished, on a mound of dirt in a nice  section of town. The exterior is done, all of the new windows are in.  But they've halted production; the inside may never be finished, and the  yard has gone to weeds. Why? There's a limit set by the local  homeowner's association as to how tall a house can be, and this house  exceeds the limit by several feet. Construction has been halted  indefinitely. Now, you would think that someone would have checked the  requirements for houses in the neighborhood - the contractor, the  architect, the unfortunate people who are paying for this mess - but no  one did, and now this huge, expensive, failure of a house sits vacant in  the lot, while the weeds grow up around it.&lt;br /&gt;
But let me ask you:  if these people ever build another house, do you think they'll forget to  check? Not a snowball's chance in July. The extremely expensive mistake  they made (Dave Ramsey calls it "Stupid Tax") has indelibly burnt this  into their minds. They probably would check the policies multiple times,  consult and throughly impress the fact that their house must be under a  certain hight with the architect, and be out on the building site with a  tape measure, just to make sure. They will never make the same mistake  again, because their failure has changed their behavior. Pain has a way  of doing that.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;5."Remember that failure is an event, not a  person." - Zig Zigler&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;br /&gt;
This is very important for your well-being. You're not a failure.  You have to impress this into your mind. Write it on your hand. Put it  on your desktop. This idea gives you permission to try as hard as you  can and fail miserably. It's ok, you're not a failure. You can just try  again. Finished your first novel and everyone who reads it tells you not  to quit your day job? It's ok, the novel may have failed, but you  aren't a failure. You can go on to the next thing, and the next thing,  as many as it takes. Labels are hard to get rid of, but events you can  move past really quickly. Failure is an event. Accept it as it is, learn  what you can, change your behavior if needed, and keep moving.&lt;br /&gt;
What  happened after I got the F on the math test? I went crazy. I'm no  morning person, but I started getting up a 6:00 to do a set of math  problems every morning. I made flash cards. I wrote down everything the  teacher said. I aced the next test. I was able to learn from the  failure, and was better off for it.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;div id="article-content"&gt;     What am I passionate about? Skiing - pretty much everything about  it. I ski every weekend from November to April and do the same with my  kids. I like other crazy and outrageous outdoor activities but pretty  much anything to do with snow on the ground and two boards on my feet  will make me a happy camper.&lt;br /&gt;
However, I'm beyond passionate for  skiing. I have to say I am obsessed with skiing. Ask any member of my  family. And when I say obsessed I mean beyond just having ski pictures  and posters in my office or at home (which I have).&lt;br /&gt;
I read ski  magazines on summer vacations at the beach. My iPhone wallpaper is  skiing. When we play family games about favorites (what's your favorite  color, favorite food, etc.) - mine all have to do with skiing. I keep  every issue of all four (yes, there are 4) ski magazines. I mostly wear  t-shirts to work and they all have skiing references or photos on them  (my favorite is the spin off from the "Got Milk" campaign and says 'Got  Powder?') I follow the top ski racers on Twitter, YouTube, Facebook,  etc. I even bid (and won) on a pair of autographed Lindsey Vonn skis for  my daughter.&lt;br /&gt;
I think my obsession is good - it teaches my kids to  focus on what you believe in passionately - no matter what. My 7 year  old daughter Claire now wants to grow her hair really long so she can  wear it in a pony tail like Lindsey Vonn. How crazy is that? She's  passionate about skiing and almost obsessed. I don't think that's  overdoing it.&lt;br /&gt;
I see myself as I write this article - I could  continue on and on and on - but maybe not everyone is as crazy obsessed  with skiing as I am. And, wondering "what does this have to do with  authentic internet marketing?" But, it does show people how it is good  for the soul (and the business) to embed obsession into their values.&lt;br /&gt;
Now,  I'm also obsessed with authentic Internet marketing. It started out as a  hobby when I began working with my wife under 2 years ago. I read some  books, studied some courses online, and followed some of the best online  mentors. I learned everything about online marketing and then some. I  took this passion and then went even further - to see what I could do  for our business.&lt;br /&gt;
You could say I took my wealth of online  marketing knowledge and turned it into something really authentic.  Something people can learn from easily in a step-by-step manner to  implement in their own business so they can see similar results. Now,  I'm obsessed with teaching and sharing how you can authentically market  your business on the Internet.&lt;br /&gt;
Your Assignment:&lt;br /&gt;
What are you  passionate about? Make a list of the 5 things that first come to mind  when you ask yourself that question. They must be the first 5 that come  to mind. If it takes longer to think about it, they are not front of  mind and something that you're probably not always thinking about. They  can be values, work, hobbies, etc. For me, it's about helping people,  learning, family, skiing and doing the right thing. Now, which of these  could you do all day long for free? If you were given $1 million dollars  tomorrow, which of those 5 would you still wake up each and every day  saying - "I can't wait to get started." This is your obsession. Follow  that and do everything you can to make it a reality and good things will  come.&lt;br /&gt;

Distraction is the concept in contention with life's true purpose;  the biggest, now global, trick of human history. This is as visible a  threat as it is insidious. It is literally strangling our quality of  life and we are helpless against it, unless we are awakened to our true  life purpose.&lt;br /&gt;
Life, ironically, is a distraction from our purpose.  Almost everything in today's world conspires against this purpose. Not  that we should reject our world and live as secluded hermits. But there  is a force in this life that blocks our awareness of, and our access to,  our purpose.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;SO, WHAT'S OUR PURPOSE?&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Our purpose is  to honour God by living our lives - not kidnapped by  agendas-of-distraction but with eyes wide awake to the God-honest  realities that are somehow subsumed by these agendas-of-distraction. &lt;br /&gt;
Allow me to put it in plain illustrative terms.&lt;br /&gt;
One example of  distraction is &lt;u&gt;entertainment&lt;/u&gt;; what is not clear about  entertainment, however, is what distractive element takes us toward our  purpose (for some entertainment is purposefully distractive) versus what  takes us away. Most entertainment takes us away. For instance, we  choose entertainment when we should be doing other things. Or, we choose  the wrong sort of entertainment. Moreover, much entertainment takes our  minds away from more relevant God-honest realities. We are all  implicated.&lt;br /&gt;
Dismissing or rejecting entertainment out of hand, if  we follow the chosen example, is not the answer; nor is merely giving in  to the entertainment revolution sweeping the globe continuously.&lt;br /&gt;
There  has to be a more compelling and effectual answer.&lt;br /&gt;
Frustration has  no part whatsoever in us living our purpose, unless it's part of the  learning process. There's little to be learned via the frustration of  chopping and changing in indecision.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;THE AGENCY AND PROCESS OF  AWAKENING&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Let us be perfectly clear that the awakening in view  is no New Age concept. Such an awakening - the necessity of humanity to  partake - is as old as creation itself. Adam and Eve, of course, failed  their awakening test, as have and do we.&lt;br /&gt;
Awakening is nothing  about failure, however.&lt;br /&gt;
It is, like salvation, an initial choice  as well as an ongoing choice-the finances of the mind invested in  focusing on what is really relevant, as well as learning what  agendas-of-distraction we are to dispatch to the archives of previous  currencies.&lt;br /&gt;
Awakening is truly about choosing to live the abundant  life.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;THE SCIENCE OF THE ABUNDANT LIFE&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
One of the  most poignant things Jesus ever said about the nature of worldly life,  and the countering nature of salvation, was:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;blockquote&gt;The  thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may  have life, and have it abundantly. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;i&gt;&lt;b&gt;~John 10:10&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/i&gt; (NRSV).&lt;/blockquote&gt;Agendas-of-distraction  are an example of the thief, among many examples. The myriad examples  of distraction sway us away from true abundance - the experience of God  breaking through our consciousness and awakening us to reality.&lt;br /&gt;
This  is no subjective reality, but &lt;u&gt;the&lt;/u&gt; reality.&lt;br /&gt;
It must surely  be the greatest gift; to enjoy knowledge of reality. That is, to be at  peace with it. This is where the abundant life begins. Indeed, this, not  apart from the Saviour, is its source.&lt;br /&gt;
The abundant life journeys  with simplicity. Having dealt with the distractions - those that would  otherwise seal our fate as stolen - the simplicity of the abundant life  opens up new doorways and new streams of thinking.&lt;br /&gt;
The abundant  life is our true life purpose. It is no destination, so we must endear  ourselves to it, rejecting distractions, and follow it passionately all  our lives.&lt;br /&gt;
Perhaps the following quote of Isaac Newton's  encapsulates the whole article:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;blockquote&gt;I do not know what  I may appear to the world; but to myself I seem to have been only like a  boy playing on the seashore, and diverting myself in now and then  finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the  great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me.&lt;/blockquote&gt;Ours  is to look past the distractive pebbles and shells on the seashore and  further yonder to the ocean of truth. There is where life is truly at;  nowhere else.&lt;br /&gt;

Sometimes we're our own worst enemies and we come up with all sorts  of devious ways of self sabotaging that even Wile E Coyote would envy.  So if you're forever indulging in self sabotage, what can you do to get  out of the habit?&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Stop procrastinating&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Or  at least reduce it.&lt;br /&gt;
Procrastination is probably the biggest form  of self sabotage that we can indulge in.&lt;br /&gt;
After all, if you don't  start something then it's darn near impossible to complete it.&lt;br /&gt;
If  you catch yourself procrastinating, recognize it for the act of self  sabotaging that it is and devise your own system to stop yourself  putting things off. Personally, I find one of the easiest ways is to  start doing whatever it is I'd try to put off, before I give myself the  chance to procrastinate on it.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Stop putting yourself down&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
This  is another nasty way to self sabotage yourself.&lt;br /&gt;
If you're forever  putting yourself down and belittling yourself, your subconscious will  begin to believe what you're telling other people and will start to  modify the way you act to bring your real life into line with you idea  of yourself.&lt;br /&gt;
Next time you catch yourself putting yourself down,  put a stop to it. Mid sentence if need be. Shrug off whatever you've  started to say or turn the comment round so that it's positive.&lt;br /&gt;
The  same goes for anyone who puts you down on a regular basis. Work on ways  to reduce your contact with them or, if that's not possible, tell them  straight that they're undermining you (or get a friend to act as a  mediator on your behalf)/.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Interrupt the patterns you run&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
There's  a good chance that at least some of your self sabotaging follows a  pattern.&lt;br /&gt;
Take some time out to analyze what the triggers are that  cause you to sabotage yourself - there are probably a handful that are  the regular offenders - and then devise a plan to interrupt them as they  take shape.&lt;br /&gt;
This could be as simple as telling yourself to snap  out of it. Or distracting yourself or changing "direction" slightly.&lt;br /&gt;
Feel  free to experiment until you find a couple of ways that work best for  you. Then implement them as often as possible when you find yourself  trying to sabotage whatever it is you're doing.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Stop  beating yourself up&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
This is often a big problem for  people.&lt;br /&gt;
They start off by sabotaging themselves and then they  chastise themselves after the event for following through with the  sabotage.&lt;br /&gt;
The past is in the past. Get over it. Whatever you did  can't be changed so don't run through a post-mortem every time you do  something that has the effect of sabotaging yourself.&lt;br /&gt;
Go a bit  easier on yourself and spend the time that you would have spent going  ape at yourself more constructively.&lt;br /&gt;

Learn to deal with the difficult people in your life by improving  your communication skills, accessing additional resources, and knowing  when it's time to just accept things as they are.&lt;br /&gt;

The difficult person in your life  may never change but you can. Your challenge may be to stop resisting  and to accept the person and situation as exactly as it is. What stands  in your way is called resistance. It can be provoked in many different  ways and for a variety of reasons. The first step to overcoming  resistance is to be more aware, or conscious that we are actually  resisting something, or in your case the difficult person or situation  that has arisen.&lt;br /&gt;
One of the early signs of resistance is that we  notice ourselves becoming more defensive. We put up an emotional wall to  ideas, information, and even people. We can physically feel our stomach  tighten and our blood pressure rise.&lt;br /&gt;
We may get flushed or red in  the face. Our adrenaline kicks in and we have a strong urge to fight or  flee. If this happens to you around your difficult person then you may  be having a stroke or heart attack, but more likely you are experiencing  resistance.&lt;br /&gt;
Just to be clear, resistance is much deeper than  disagreeing. When we disagree we can sometimes become stressed or even  angry, but we don't usually want to run away or beat the other person to  a pulp. Resistance is always about us and never the other person. They  may provoke the feelings inside of us but they cannot change us. That is  completely up to us.&lt;br /&gt;
Where we most resist change is precisely  where we must change. We need to recognize our resistance and then  change ourselves or our attitudes to watch it recede. To do that we must  be open and also find clarity around the situation. Then change.&lt;br /&gt;
There  was a fairly bad science fiction program on television a couple of  years ago that featured a group of man-machines called 'borgs' as the  bad guys. Their mission was to take over the brains of humans and  assimilate them into their cyborg consciousness. Once the 'borgs' got  you it was over. Their slogan was "Resistance is futile".&lt;br /&gt;
So too  with the resistance to change in real life. Accept the situation and the  difficult people in your life and then go about the change you need to  make inside of yourself in order to move forward. Resistance really is  futile.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;div id="article-content"&gt;     Life is meant to be an evolutionary growth process, which means  then that no matter how good your life has become, no matter how  available you are in the Laws of Life - you are on a continuous  evolutionary process. If you are on a stationary plain, you might notice  you feel stagnated or that life is passing you by. You are right. Life  was meant to be continuously in an evolutionary pace. However, this is  not to say that you need to be creating something earth-shattering every  day. To the contrary, it simply means that you need to have a vision  for the next phase.&lt;br /&gt;
Many people say they want success, but any  time one agrees that conditions are difficult, and also talks about how  life is unfair, or holds negative thoughts they are out of harmony with  the Universal flow of life. Talking about unfairness or holding negative  thoughts locks the energy flow is at a lower level of existence and out  of harmony with the thing one says one wants. Thus, you are creating  resistance against with what you say you want.&lt;br /&gt;
Of course, the  question is how does one open up? By being in agreement with all that is  prosperous and using every means at your command to make it easy for  prosperity, abundance and the free flow of life to come into existence.  Stop negative beliefs - i.e. how life is unfair Believe that prosperity  and abundance is available for everyone.&lt;br /&gt;
On this journey called  life, difficult issues come about - fair or unfair as it may seem. It is  paramount to remember that there is an answer greater than the problem  you are experiencing. All problems seem daunting or overwhelming when  you have the attitude that things in life are fair or unfair. It is only  daunting and overwhelming until you apply the right thinking, and then,  the solution reveals itself.&lt;br /&gt;
The cliché that unfairness and  making mistakes is part of life is what keeps you locked into what you  fear the most - unfairness and making mistakes. The power of the  Universe is consistent for everyone and in all things. The Universe is  available to everyone and everything in the same fashion and intensity.  Through proper thinking about the problem, challenges and vicissitudes  you have access to the power to receive the answers you need.&lt;br /&gt;
Where  you are right now as you read this; take a deep breath and accept, that  your greatest answer is seeking to emerge through you. All answers to  all life's questions are waiting for you to discover them. All you need  to do is look, listen and trust.&lt;br /&gt;

It can be positive or it can be  negative, being part of daily life for all people, but it can also be a  burden that is exhausting and filled with anxiety. Regardless of where  it comes from, good or bad, stress can influence both the person  experiencing it and the environment around them. It is all a matter of  learning and coping with stress.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;What are the causes of stress?&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Stress  can come from both internal and external factors, including the  environment around you, whether it is your job, a relationship,  challenges, life situations, your home, varied difficulties or even  expectations that you might have of yourself. However, modern life is  riddled with heavy pressures to achieve, even look our best, which means  that it is no big surprise that we view stress in a very bad light,  even if biologically stress may be less negative than we realize. As a  result, stress usually is a creation of the human mind in regards to  things that may not yet have happened or may never happen, yet our  brains anticipate based on mere assumptions.&lt;br /&gt;
Internal stresses can  influence how we respond to our lives, the challenges that face us and  if our health may be harmed as a result of that stress. Yes, these types  of stresses are the most detrimental because they affect the most  important parts of our lives, our sleep and rest time, not to mention  our nutritional needs. Somehow our bodies and minds have evolved to  adapt to the stresses of the environment around us, as well as the  pressures that we and others put on ourselves. We are amongst the most  evolved on the planet. Sometimes even people who cope well with stress  need assistance in getting their stresses under control again.&lt;br /&gt;
Are  there any sections of our body that are bothered the most by stress?  Your reproductive system, pancreas, intestines, stomach, heart, muscles,  joints, nerves and brain can suffer or sustain damage with too much  stress. &lt;div id="article-content"&gt; 				I just had a great conversation with a friend who was telling me  about some business associates who have had a complete turn around on  their dream.&lt;br /&gt;
A few months ago, they were enthusiastic and on fire  for their future. Unfortunately, they didn't keep their mental doors  locked... and something negative slipped in, and they dropped the  pursuit of their dream.&lt;br /&gt;
All failure begins this way.&lt;br /&gt;
People  may have high hopes, but when their perceived circumstances suggest a  lesser outcome is more likely (perhaps via an unexpected obstacle), this  perceived discrepancy becomes the initial seed of failure.&lt;br /&gt;
Being  unaware of how this process destroys the dreams of countless people,  they fall victim to its seduction.&lt;br /&gt;
Take a look at what happens and  how this process works:&lt;br /&gt;
1. We all have two parts in our thinking:  One is our dream or goal, and the second is the belief that it might  not ever happen. This is where most people start out.&lt;br /&gt;
2. Next,  something begins to spark or inspire a person to take action on their  dream. (Yet, not having a full understanding of the Laws of Success,  they are actually moving in the direction of their dream with a great  deal of ignorance. Ignorance is not necessarily a bad thing, as long as a  person stays open to what he/she must learn along the way. The problem  is many individuals are not open to growth and change.)&lt;br /&gt;
3. Their  subconscious manifests an obstacle to keep them from experiencing  anything "new". This new challenge is perceived as a point of failure.&lt;br /&gt;
It  is at this point in a person's journey where moving forward becomes too  painful or fearful, and a person usually chooses to stay "safe". The  truth, however, is that this is also the point where moving forward  would allow a person to see the bigger win they are hoping for!&lt;br /&gt;
You  see, YOUR beliefs control your perception of everything in your world,  which in turn creates your reality. If you want to change your reality,  you must use new information to change your beliefs AND your perception.  Until you see things differently, you will continue to makes choices  that keep you where you are. And eventually, you will give up on your  dreams.&lt;br /&gt;
In other words, your experiences reflect your belief  system. This means that if there is anything in your life you don't want  to experience all you need to do to change "it" is to change the belief  that caused "it" in the first place!&lt;br /&gt;
In theory, it's really  simple... but in practice, many people find it difficult because they  really don't understand all beliefs are nothing but illusions anyway.  But these illusions are so strong people think that they are real when  actually they are not.&lt;br /&gt;
The power of belief is astounding. I  encourage you to &lt;a href="http://www.davidneagle.com/the-laws-of-the-universe" rel="nofollow" target="_new"&gt;study&lt;/a&gt; its  mysteries for yourself and see what changes you truly do have the power  to make.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;div id="article-content"&gt; 				How do we create the environment of stability? Especially if our  lives have been wracked by upheaval and chaos? Everyone has their  challenges, the waves of the sea are always churning and some storms are  more destructive than others. Some waves are just hitting the shores  with negligible damage and are enjoyable to watch and listen to on the  beach, while others can be an outright disaster when they build up to  the level of a tsunami and obliterate everything you have worked for in  the blink of an eye.&lt;br /&gt;
Clearly, the objects, people, that are most  firmly anchored, have the best chance of surviving and thriving despite  the crashing sea.&lt;br /&gt;
We have to learn how to drop anchor. We have to  create stability by being stable, by repeating certain habits till they  become part of our daily routine and anchor us in a meaningful (for us)  and positive way.&lt;br /&gt;
Most people would agree that smoking is  definitely a habit, but not much of a positive one, nor an effective  anchor because it continues to damage the ship (your body) while a true  anchor protects the ship from being destroyed by the wild nature of the  ocean.&lt;br /&gt;
And no offense to those who are already ensconced in this  habit, because I still have plenty of my own damaging routines which  have been built up over the years, but I am adamant to do my best to  replace them with good anchors that preserve the ship for the journey.&lt;br /&gt;
Find  an anchor, find one activity which is healthy for your body, mind and  spirit and keep at it. Try to keep at it even when you are faced with  challenges, perhaps you will not be as tranquil in your mind, but this  activity will help to anchor you and get you through the waves when they  rise up to the level of a storm as we know will happen one time or  another in life.&lt;br /&gt;
Without firm boundaries and anchors, nothing  really has any form. Without walls, there can be no home and without  walls, there can be no pool, so building boundaries, is a good thing,  whether it be for a vineyard or for a house, that is the way to  establish your place and your domain in your world.&lt;br /&gt;
So, perhaps  you already have all of your anchors lined up. And that is great. This  idea though has been somewhat new to me, maybe not in terms of  understanding it conceptually, but from experiencing it in practice&lt;br /&gt;
Over  the last year now, I have been building anchors so to speak, despite my  inbred nature of depression, whether it be genetic or learned, it has  been my nature for many years but I have been pushing against that wave  through volunteering, going to school, studying for a new career and now  swimming. Those are all good anchors that have been good for the ship  to stay a course of helping others and myself.&lt;br /&gt;
I do not think it  matters whichever one a person might choose, whatever type of anchor it  is, as long as it is one that you enjoy and that you do your best to  commit to. Maybe it is music, maybe art, maybe a specific field (there  is that field again, remember the vineyard) that you work in, maybe it  is volunteering, mentoring, working out, you pick it, but at least get  one that can serve as a strong anchor.&lt;br /&gt;
We do see this concept in  nature, our solar system revolving around the pull of the sun, our own  bodies, held close to the earth by gravity, our personal lives, which  have probably revolved around the relationships with less than ten  people, whether they have been great relationships and whether they have  been stormy, the point is to start today to enhance the good anchors in  our lives. And if we do not have any, pick at least one to start with  and build from there.&lt;br /&gt;
I see an incremental improvement in most  areas of my life because I have dropped some powerful anchors to protect  the ship. There is no perfection, just trying to keep making progress  and having these anchors is definitely contributing to staying a  productive course.&lt;br /&gt;
The ocean is always there and the waves keep  coming and there is really no escaping from storms now and then, but at  least we can do our best to preserve ourselves for the journey, avoid  shipwrecks so we are free to enjoy the ocean and sail another day.&lt;br /&gt;

If you have decided to do the renovating yourself it is like walking  into Bunnings (a large hardware store) with an empty tool belt on. You  walk in the door and you are overwhelmed. You go up and down all the  different aisles and there are thousands of different tools that you  could fill your tool belt with but you have only got so much room or so  much capacity. You know that only the best tools, the most precise tools  will ensure a fantastic renovation.&lt;br /&gt;
As you walk down the aisles  at Bunnings and you think to yourself: &lt;br /&gt;
'Shit, where do I start?  &lt;br /&gt;
'Which aisle do I go down?'  &lt;br /&gt;
'What do I need to get this job done?'&lt;br /&gt;
You've got this big  list of problems that you need to overcome and an even bigger list of  the extra stuff that you want out of life. You need a store attendant in  overalls or in a Bunnings apron (an expert in the field) to really  guide you and show you how to get what you need and guide you to the  specific tools that you need, so that you can just leave with all the  right tools to get the job done right.&lt;br /&gt;
No two renovations are ever  the same so the tools must be selected specifically for you.&lt;br /&gt;
How  Much Do You Want The Change? &lt;br /&gt;
In order for the renovation to go ahead you must really want it to  happen. You must be so sick and tired of just existing and you  understand that there is so much potential, and the investment is worth  it. You are aware that there will be a bit of upheaval going on and  maybe some unexpected obstacles as the changes take place. But you  understand that the finished product will be so much better than the  current one.&lt;br /&gt;
The Tools Do Not Work All By Themselves&lt;br /&gt;
There  is no use going out and getting the tools or employing the trades if you  are not ready or really sure about what you want. How many renovations  do you see half finished? Or do you know of people who have decided to  make the change, have gone out and purchased the tools, only to have  them sit in the shed collecting dust.&lt;br /&gt;
There are many resources  available that will equip you with a full belt of tools so that you can  feel fully prepared for the change. So, NOW is the time to really think  about what type of renovations really need to be happening in your life.  Not tomorrow, not next week, not next year, but NOW! Go out and get the  necessary tools or trade experts and stop just thinking about it. Life  is too short to live in a miserable old shack.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;div id="article-content"&gt; 				You need to constantly question yourself if you want to improve.  Questions guide your inner dialogue. They act as a guide for you to  create inner and outer wealth living a life with emotional and financial  freedom.&lt;br /&gt;
When we were still toddlers, we learn by asking  questions. Sadly, when we became adults, some of us lost out ability to  ask. Some deem asking as an activity only for childish individuals.  Others simply neglect it because they are already satisfied with their  current state. Ideally, we must never lose this ability. As long as we  live, we need to ask questions. Some of these questions might have  satisfying answers in the future; some might have not. BUT at least, you  didn't maintain an idle mind.&lt;br /&gt;
We have come up with 3 questions  for self-improvement. If you haven't asked yourself these questions yet,  then start asking them now.&lt;br /&gt;
1.) Do I enjoy the things that I do? &lt;br /&gt;
You have to reflect on your current state. You have to make sure  that you are enjoying the things that you have right now - work,  relationships, and responsibilities. If there is one area in your life  that seems boring, painful or monotonous to you, focus on that part.  Reflect on the reason why you don't enjoy doing the things in that  certain area. Strive to get out of these areas as soon as possible  unless you want to live a miserable life.&lt;br /&gt;
2.) What is my real  passion in life? &lt;br /&gt;
You enjoy doing what you do if it is your passion. For example, work  seems so easy if you love the responsibilities that are included in it.  When you enjoy what you do, you don't call it work anymore; you call it  passion. People who choose not to pursue their passion live a life of  misery most of the time.&lt;br /&gt;
3.) Do I always plan for my future? &lt;br /&gt;
It is not a sin to live in the present but it is a sin not to look  forward to the future. Always think 5 to 10 years ahead. Think of things  that you would like to achieve if you are allowed to live even for  another decade. Create a list of what you would like to do and fulfill  them one by one.&lt;br /&gt;
You can't find inspiration if you are just  contented with your current state. You need to stand up and push  yourself to your limit. The power of questions is inexhaustible. Famous  success coach Anthony Robbins once said "quality questions create a  quality life." You must put these questions in front of you in order to  drive you to your goals, be rooted in your capabilities, and change your  overall perception of yourself.&lt;br /&gt;
