2014 Update

2014-03-14T20:47:00.003-07:00

Hi, I'm back! It's been awhile but I thought

I would come back and try to blog again a bit.

Also update you on Me,

and my family and soon some new endeavors...

All is good in the Weekes house with a

few bumps in the road along the way,

but we seem to stay positive and get through.

Any struggles bring us closer together.

The band my hubby Dallon is in, Panic! At The Disco,

released a new album

'Too Weird To Live To Rare To Die', on October 2013.

So that's been keeping him really busy with touring,

which then keeps me really busy

taking on all the work of the kids and household solo.

I give mad props to single parents.

He's been on a few lengthy tours since the album came out,

and soon to go again in April,

then Europe tour, then another US tour!

It's all good though, he likes to be working

doing what he loves, the only

con is of course being away from me and the kids.

We took Amelie to Disneyland for the first time,

we had a great time. We didn't take out 3 yr old Knox

because honestly I just thought it would be too much.

He's still alittle guy and all that walking and waiting

in lines would be way to hard.

I can't believe how some people take their really

little kids, even newborns!- they won't remember it.

Most of them were crying or sleeping in their strollers.

To each their own I guess.

Oh yes I won on the Buzz Lightyear ride :)

Summer filled with Birthdays at The Weekes House!

2013-07-09T16:48:00.000-07:00

Yes the year is more than half way over,

and I'm finally making a post.

I would do it more often if I

could figure how to do it from my phone

since my life is so much on the go.

We had all of our Birthdays..

Dallon was in May and mine and the two kiddos were in June.

Amelie is now 5 and Knox is 3 !!

Crazy how fast is has past by,

but it's so fun to see them grow

and develop their personalities.

They for sure have a combo

of Dallon and I in both of them.

As some of you may know

Dallon's Birthday was celebrated by having

a Brobeck show in L.A. Well not just A show,

he played two sets in one night!

It was fun, many came out to support.

It was a Doctor Who theme all night..

in fact Dallon even wore a Doctor

inspired outfit for the 2nd show that night.

We ate cake, sold merch,

met some people...it was a great time.

Thanks for all who came out, and said hi.

~~~~
Amelie had a Brave themed Birthday party
...and you know me, I looooove to
party plan and decorate!
I seriously find joy in it.
Many tell me to open a party/wedding
decorating company...HA!
Add that to my list of things I do and want to do :P
It was a good time and she's already
thinking what she wants next year! ha ha Just
like her mama.
~~~~

Knox had his Birthday at

Chuck E. Cheese for two reasons;

1. It's like Disneyland to a 3 year old boy

2. He had a Wreck It Ralph theme- so an arcade made sense.

He had a blast of course, so it was all good.

~~~~
My Birthday- June 24th,
was celebrated a day before
the actual date because
Dallon had to go out of town for work.
We had a great date night. :)
Happy New Year Update
2013-01-18T08:20:00.001-08:00
I know, I know it's been a long
time since I posted on here.
Life has just been so busy and
it's easier for me to update
my Facebook, or Instagram or
Twitter because I can easily
send pic from my iphone.
Everybody is doing well.
Amelie is at a new Preschool this year
since we moved and bought a house.
She adjusted easily and
loves it!
It was nice this year to have Dallon
home for all the holidays.
Halloween 2011, he was out on tour,
so missed the kids in their
costumes and trick or treating.
He also was gone for his birthday,
my birthday, and Amelie's birthday.
So this past 2012, he was home
for all of it! It still was busy though
because we bought a house
and moved. Still painting and doing slight remodeling-
but I'm all about that I love doing it.
Christmas was good- we had alot going on, family parties,
friend parties, shopping...by the time it was the day
of Christmas it was very relaxing.
I finally got to get my white
Christmas tree out of storage- Panic! 's storage actually ;)
I have a tons of vintage ornaments,
and usually love to decorate
the tree with pink ornaments,
but our little boy Knox is two
and still can't keep his hands of the tree.
So I bought non breakable
ornaments for the lower half of the tree
and decorated the upper
half with my vintage ornaments ;) I
went with a bright pink and gold,
with some brown.
So now it's the new year, and the 2nd day
in Dallon was off to NY for
9 days to work on a new Panic! album....
that's all I can say guys about that ;)
I've got alot I'm working on, as usual,
too much to list, but I'll try to update more
this year ;)
Summertime
2012-08-18T09:57:00.000-07:00
How's your summer going?
Mine has been good, busy as usual but fun.
We celebrated three Birthdays in June!
My daughter turned 4,
my boy turned 2..
and then I had my Birthday.
Ya right, you think
I'm telling you my age!
Ha ha, I've stopped counting!
For my daughter Amelie's Birthday
I made Confetti Cake Batter Cookies
for her to take to her Preschool
class, got the idea from Pinterest!
They are so addicting, and very easy to make.
The morning of her Birthday
we made pink heart
shaped pancakes with sprinkles!
For her Birthday Party it was a
My Little Pony Party.
It wasn't just My Little Pony
it's based off the new cartoon
Friendship is Magic.
So once again, like when I did the
Yo Gabba Party 2 yrs ago,
I was ahead of the game and
no party stores have decorations.
So once again I had to
put my creative mind at
work and create it myself.
I did find someone on
Etsy who did a package
that included a custom invitation,
pin the tail on the
pony, and images to print out.
The party was so cute,
and she had a great time!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

For my boy Knox since
he was turning two,

we did a smaller party
with just close family.

He looooves Toy Story,
so of course that had to be the theme.

Luckily I did find
party supplies for this party.

I did though have
a special little cake made,
and then had cupcakes for the other kids.

I was even surprised
that my boy who won't

wear anything on his head,
had to get the Woody cowboy hat,
and would not take it off! :)

My Birthday was mixed
in between their two Birthdays,

but my hubby did sneak off
to get me cupcakes at one

of my favorite places Sweet Arleen's,

Cupcake Wars winner twice!

Mmmmm they were good! :)

Baby Shower for my sister! It's a Girl!

2012-03-29T09:43:00.000-07:00

My sister is expecting her third child,

and after two boys she's getting her girl!

Here's her Baby Shower recently.

I made the dipped oreos and Diaper Cake.

They're double stuff Oreos and

strawberry filling Oreos, yummmmy!

There was also had popcorn coated

with pink and white chocolate..to die for!

Messages to baby tree...

(I did this tree idea at my wedding)

It was a beautiful baby shower ;)

2012-02-14T12:13:00.000-08:00

Crumbs Bake Shop makes such cute cupcakes!!

Almost to good to eat,

but oh so good when you do eat them!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

to pick up some Valentine's Day

treats for me and my man! Yummy!

...they didn't last long, already gobbled them up ;)

Je t'aime French Banners

2012-02-04T21:19:00.000-08:00

Inspired by my love of many things vintage,

French and of course Paris.

I created French inspired banners

for my Etsy shop Pink Door.

My newest one is "Je t'aime" (I Love You).

The letters are on a sand/creme

color die cut card stock,

hand stenciled with black paint,

and frosted with

a fine black glitter, and of course aged

looking edges to give it that rustic vintage look.

I will be making other sayings in French,

but I do accept Custom Orders.

Just send me a message via Etsy as

to what you desire for your banner, and voila!

Au revoir! :)

Love Is In The Air

2012-01-17T17:34:00.000-08:00

My mom and I have combined our talents

and have been working and

creating some handmade items.

We have recently brought our handmade,

vintage inspired holiday and letter stenciled banners

to sell in her Etsy shop Saturdayfinds

my Etsy shop The Pink Door.

We have been making various paper crafts

for sometime now, and have usually made

our banners for friends and family.

When they were quite popular at a local boutique,

we decided to bring them to our

Etsy shops to share with all of you!
We have our Valentine's Day

and Easter banners for sale now

...and soon will have our wedding themed,

and many many more!

We do also accept custom orders.

Happy crafting! :)

Cookies for Christmas

2011-12-20T22:36:00.000-08:00

Every year I do my Christmas cookie baking,

for gifts to family and friends.

I usually do my Oatmeal cookies,

Chocolate Chunk and Peanut Butter chip.

This year I did a few new ones.

Thanks to Pinterest.com, I see so many awesome recipes,

so I got inspired to try some new ones.

I made these, which you can find the recipe

on the package of the peppermint Hershey

kisses. They turned out great! :)

..just alittle update

2011-12-18T08:15:00.000-08:00

So much has been going on in our world.

All good things, just busy, busy.

I don't get around to blogging like I use to.

Mainly because Dallon, my hubby was on tour

for like 2 months. So being home alone with

the kids takes up ALOT of my time.

But the hubby is ba

ck from tour for the

holidays so we have been enjoying that! :)

Been also working on getting

my craft space set up and got a new

sewing machine

to start my new projects.

So after the holidays, come the new year

my new shop on ETSY for babies and kids

will be open, and I'll list more goodies

in my Pink Door Etsy shop too.

This Christmas we just really

want to take it easy,

and spend time with one another.

So I took alittle hiatus from my shops,

and were only having a small intimate

family celebration come Christmas day.

So in my free time I've

been baking and baking....and baking

goodies for Christmas gifts.

Come back,

I'll post what I've been making... :)

Monday is Over, Hello Tuesday!

2011-09-27T08:29:00.000-07:00

Something about Mondays..

hard to get back to productivity after

a fun weekend at the nearby

Hidden Hills neighborhood parade.

How thankful I am for my cup of coffee..

Tuesday is here and I'm ready.

I have lots of things to do, to prep for our trip

to Utah to visit family and my

husband is playing a concert.

This will be the first time

flying with the baby Knox...

who now is about 15 months old.

I think it would be much easier if he

were alittle baby still, now he's a wild little man! :)

Amelie our little girl who is now 3,

has flown many many times.

What makes the most nervous

about this trip is the return

flight I will be flying home by

myself with both kids! Yikes!

This is when a nanny would

come in handy

(maybe someday when we can afford it).

Thinking ahead of being at the airport

with a 3yr old and 1 yr old, luggage,

carry-ons, potty breaks, diaper changes..etc.

I will need free hands and lugging a stroller

is just too much, I purchased a Ergo baby carrier.

I've heard amazing things about this carrier.

All the other I had suck and got rid of them.

They were uncomfortable, and hurt my back.

My sis has always used the Ergo

and can be worn front and back, and she's a small

skinny girl, and carries her almost 2yr old in it.

So once we get to Utah, and after my husband

plays the concert at the Big Ass Show

on Oct. 8th he leaves right after

to start the U.S. Fall Tour.

I'm staying behind a few extra days to visit friends

and hit up the amazing thrift

stores and craft stores there.

Then I will come back to

meet up with him for his

one day home and then he has a show kinda

near us at the Ventura Theater.

After that he will be off again!

Sad to say this year he will gone for Halloween,

which is not the first he's been gone for.

Those who know me, know I love Halloween.

I will still make it fun for the kids,

probably a Halloween party at Grandma's house.

Right now, I'm home alone too with the kids,

while hubby is touring Indonesia

and Australia.

I'm not complaining,

but it does get hard at times.

It gets hard for him too.

As much fun he's having and living his dream,

he's away from us, and I can't even

imagine what that would be like

to be away from the kiddos for weeks at a time.

I went to NY a couple weeks

ago to meet up with him.

I left the kids with my mom,

and even though I had a blast,

by the end of the

3 day trip I totally missed the kids...

So that's another catch up as to what

we have been up to here

in the Weekes household.

I'm also working hard to get a

craft space set-up again for me,

get a new sewing machine

(mine broke, it was super old),

and get my NEW Etsy baby/kid

boutique shop up and running.

My partner in the creation of this

new shop is my mom Saturdayfinds.

Our shop will be called SassyClassyBaby,

and here's a sneak preview of our shop banner:

coming soon!!

Have a great day, ox

The End to a Great Weekend

2011-07-31T19:47:00.000-07:00

Hope you all had a great weekend!

I found a few goodies at yard sales

I was very excited about.

First thing was this

gorgeous Antique GWTW

(Gone with the Wind) style lamp!

If I had somewhere to put it, I would

be keeping it- but instead I posted it

for sale in my Ebay shop Swinginkitten

so check it out it's a beauty

and needs a good home :)

I also found these salt and pepper shakers that

are marked USA, but I haven't quite figured

what pottery co. they are from yet? hmmm

What do you think?

Oh and last but not least this adorable

Antique doll buggy! So precious!

Now how could I pass on this?

I will be posting it for sale too,

so I will keep you posted when I do.

Well kids are in bed and

it's time alone with my hubby.

Got to get in as much alone time

with him as possible before he leaves

on tour again for 3 weeks.

Thanks for coming by, I love to hear your

feedback so please leave comments. ~

2011-04-26T11:19:00.000-07:00

This will be my first Giveaway here on my blog.

Now I always thought I would have my giveaway

be something relating to one of my craft creations

or some vintage goodies I've collected. But in honor

of my twitter reaching almost 1000 followers, mostly

due of course to fans of my husband Dallon Weekes' band The Brobecks

or his most recent postion as bass player in Panic! At The Disco,

I will be giving away an ACTUAL copy on

The Brobecks album "Violent Things".

It's available on itunes, but I know many

fans in other countries don't have it available to them, or some just want

an actual copy for their collection. These were only sold at

live Brobecks show, so very rare to come by.

This is a worldwide giveaway,

I will send it to the winner where

---------> Oh did I mention Dallon will autograph it!<-------

personally to you if you want.

This is what we have been up to...

2011-04-19T07:59:00.000-07:00

So this past couple months the band my

husband is in has been doing alot of

tv appearances and performances after the release

of the new albumVices and Virtues,

and prepping for their upcoming tours.

He played on Conan, which has been a

dream of his for ever since I've known him.

If you watch the video he's the bass player

who at the end of the performance when

Conan come out to say hi, my husband gets really

excited and makes it known on camera.

The other guests that night were Jake Gyllenhaal

and Randy Jackson from American Idol.

Needless to say I had to get a pic with Jake- who would pass that up?

The funny thing is that is was just me and Jake

posing for the pic, and at the last second my husband

slipped ion for the picture!!

They played the George Lopez show too,

which was really fun.

It was like a party backstage,

and the performance sounded awesome,

and we got to see/meet tons of celebs;

Russell Brand, Tracey Morgan,

Rainn Wilson(Dwight on The Office),

Lil' Jon (Celebrity Apprentice).

Lil' John was stoked on the band and posed for pics with them!

They also played MTV's The Seven...

So it's been a fun and busy past couple months..

and this is just the beginning.

He leaves for the Europe tour the end of April,

and goes right from there to the

U.S. tour, so he will be gone till the end of June!

Of course in between I will visit

him, and actually planning to go to

the NY show and most likely Vegas.

But he won't be here for his birthday, my birthday,

our daughter's 3rd birthday, our son's 1st birthday,

mother's day and father's day!!

It's bitter sweet...we've been waiting for this all our lives together,

but it still comes with sacrifices. :)

Busy Busy

2011-03-25T10:03:00.000-07:00

Wow so much to update you on.

Been so busy with the kids and

my hubby aka Rockstar.

He has been flying in and out of

town alot lately with the band.

Playing promo shows

for the new album- which

means I'm home alone with

the kids, so blogging gets

pushed to the bottom of

my to do list.

I notice too that since

I have moved back to

California, I keep so busy,

I forget to find time

to blog. Also I started another type of blog

on Tumblr, which I post more on.

I started one on there to post more info

about my husband Dallon and the band

Panic! At The Disco, he's in,

and post pics for fans.

To sum up the past few months..

well..our baby boy is now 9 mos. old!

Our little girl will be 3 in June and the boy

will be 1yrs old!

We had our 5 yr anniversary

this past March 18th.

My hubby was out of town

playing at SXSW in Texas,

but we celebrated it

when he returned at the

W Hotel in Hollywood..ALONE.

Love the kids of course

but it was nice to be alone,

and my first time away from

both kids, alone with hubby.

We had a great time and then

the following evening the band

he plays bass in... Panic! At The Disco,

played a show on the rooftop club

of The W Hotel.

I'm Dreaming of a Pink Christmas...

2010-11-21T09:09:00.000-08:00

Hope you all had a sweet Pink Saturday.

Although I didn't get around
to posting for Pink Saturday,
because I'm kept VERY busy
with my two little ones..

I'm here sharing my Pink Saturday
goodies with you on
this lovely Sunday morning!

Since being back in California,
and enjoying the so-called
"winter" weather here,
with almost endless sunny days..
I've been able to team up again
with my crafting partner
and mom Saturdayfinds.

I don't have much of a crafting studio
set-up in my place yet, so I sneak off
to her place and ignite my
creativity among all her
yummy crafting supplies!

Here's some of our crafting
collaborations we came up with
and are also available for
sale in her Etsy Shop!

Thanks for coming by,
may all your dreams be pink!

Bake Sale for Haiti

2010-11-11T17:13:00.000-08:00

This past weekend I helped
my good friend with her Bake Sale.

She's raising money for the costs
to ship donations to Haiti.

She's been there before, and will be returning
early next year to help with
a documentary and personally
deliver the donations she has collected.
She works at Fred Segal Beauty
in Santa Monica, CA
as spa/salon manager and they
were kind enough to let her hold her bake sale there.

I was the one of the many
who made a homemade treat
to donate to sell at the sale.

I made my famous Oreo Meltaways.

They are oh so yummy!
I bagged them, and fancied them up a bit
in the color theme for the sale.
They were a hit, among the other goodies,
and the sale was a success!

Back Home in California

2010-10-24T09:45:00.000-07:00

Ok I'm back here on the blogging world,

and this time I really

hope to keep up with my

blogging much better.

We just moved from Utah

back to my home state of

California less than a month ago.

We're getting settled

in and it's sooooo good to be back.

I have most of my friends and family here,

and they are very helpful and supportive.

Now we have our new addition to our family,

our baby boy who is now 4 months old,

and of our daughter who is 2.

So we have our hands full!

My mom- Saturdayfinds,

is not only my mom and Bff, but my

creative crafting partner.

Now that we are back to living close

to eachother we can craft more!!!

We are already starting to work

on Christmas goodies!!

My Etsy shop PinkDoor has

also been on vacation mode for

awhile during the move, and I will

be reopening and posting some

new yummy vintage goodies for

sale, as well as on my Ebay shop

Swinginkitten.

Here's a sneak peek..

Since being a mom, I have opened my

crafting creativity to things

for babies, kids, and moms.

I will be opening an additional

Etsy shop than my PinkDoor shop on Etsy

..so stay tuned I will announce the

name and opening very soon!
