I can easily call this was one of the best weekends I have had this year and now, that I try to recall, I will call it the most Favorite weekend till day, 2012.

To start with, I and my team had a good or better than good win over a better than good team in an official cricket match which was organized by company. It's more of a cricket tournament with four teams and each team plays all others. So, this weekend the tournament was kick started and it felt to start on a winning note. This also marks the first win for me as a player for any team in official cricket matches organized by my office. P.S. I have lost two previous matches. But, this tournament will a whole different story and I'm going to make sure it does.

Other than that, Sunday, second day of the weekend, was super exciting which was started by one of the best suspense and thrill filled Indian movies I have ever seen. I heard strong recommendations and brilliant reviews for the movie and after watching, I was going rounds about the movie among my friends.

However, watching brilliant cinematic performance was soon overshadowed by an even thrilling, cliffhanger of a cricket match between India and Pakistan. They all call matches between India and Pakistan as the "Mother of Matches" and so, truly agree to it.

I feel very elated after such a great weekend that it doesn't bother me that I didn't have anyone to share this joy with.

Bachpan After Pachpan

Childhood - "Bachpan" is said to be the best part of your life. You don't know what fear is, you don't have to be responsible for anything or better, other people are held responsible for your deeds. It is the carelessness which I miss the most. When there wasn't any hesitation. You don't really mind people watching while you were throwing tantrums at your parents. It was the damn "maturity" which ruined everything.

Any who, I'm way past my childhood and into the maturity zone, though, I do feel I'm kind of stuck in transition which is the worst, believe me.

I have also learned that old age better than childhood. The carelessness comes back to you. Responsibilities goes down the flush as the new generation takes over. Same was my thought when I saw these children come out and enjoy themselves in the middle of a huge crowd.

The event was organized under the name of " Bachpan after Pachpan " by High Street Phoenix, Mumbai. This flash mob of people aged 55+ rocked the place. They stood tall and presented an example for the people around them. It's hard to get those small little happy moments in this busy life and many of us loose them while regretting over the bad ones. This is one of those moments.

Watching these people on video induces an energy into me, though, I don't prefer to dance - not as child or even as an adult - and don't even planning to do something like it in the future, but yea, it did something to me. I do to have a spirit like this when I reach this age.

Any who, I wanted to take this spirit to as many people as possible and that's is the reason, I've shared this video with you all. Kindly, take an minute and I know a minute would be enough.

The Day and Night - Amritsar

The trip to Amritsar was not a well planned or thought trip. Just a back up plan which was taken up after PLAN A didn't work out. Even though, this was an ad-hoc kind of trip, it went pretty well. I hated the travelling part which, I admit, I hate a lot, always.

The trip started with an early morning in Delhi Railway Station. It was a hazy morning, however, as if the somebody knew that we're about to leave and cleared all the fog by the time we left home. We reached the station on time and so did the train. Cause we had to catch the train early - it was a 6:00 AM - so, I took the blanket out and slept through the journey - wasn't in the sight seeing mood @ 6 in the morning.

Any who, we reached Amritsar on time, no matter how unbelievable it felt to me but it was true. After hearing so much about Indian trains, I had such a bad perception of trains reaching in time but at least, for a day though, it proved wrong.

First thing, we did was to check in and eat and eat a lot, as we haven't had since morning and won't be for a long time. Then, we went in to re-visit the history and the remains of carnage which took place @ Jallianwala bagh (Search wikipedia for information about Jallianwala bagh). Being there, made me felt that how badly was the remains were maintained. The Martyr's well for full of coins and many more things which people threw in. There was a tall red monument which was build in the middle of the Bagh with no information about it. I didn't know what to even call it.

We went on to visit Darbar Sahib - better known as The Golden Temple in English and Swarn Mandir in Hindi (Search Wikipedia again for more), which felt a bit strange to me as Darbar Sahib is a Gurudwara, however, when I read more about it, Darbar Sahib is originally called Harmandir Sahib. So, I thought may be that is the reason about calling Darbar Sahib a Temple. Anyway, all the questions were rested as I entered the premise. I could see The Darbar Sahib, shining in the in the middle of the holy Sarovar, even though, the Sun was a bit dim and the weather was murky. I clicked and clicked a lot. We had wait in the line for at least an hour and half which gave me the chance on watching The Darbar Sahib while the sun set and in the lights too. As this was my elder brother's second trip to The Darbar Sahib, so we had a good tour of the Gurudwara. We went to see where The Guru Granth Sahib have been placed and experienced the peace in every corner of Darbar Sahib. We came out of Darbar Sahib with a lot of peace. Then, walked around the Sarovar a couple of times and back to the inn.

We didn't had much time to visit the Wagah Border, however, we did have enough time to a renowned Dhaba - place to eat - in Amritsar, called Kesar Da Dhaba. I had seen the place on TV during an episode of "Zayaka India Ka" (Flavor of India) and yea, was excited about being there. Everything they serve was drenched in Desi Ghee which may have not enticed a lot of people but it did to me and my family. I stuffed myself so much that it wasn't easy for me to get up and thinking of reaching back to the inn felt wasting a lot of time. However, to digest all of heavily fried and drenched in butter food, we decided to walk to the inn. Well, it felt as of this was the exciting thing we did in Amritsar, but, there was still a small trip we had to make - to reach the station @5 in the morning. Dilli's chill was good to us but it wasn't the same in Amritsar. It was cold, really cold. I believe it was less than 2 degree's at time. I was shivering like never before.

So, in the end it proved to a COOL trip. I know, this was bad but I can't help it. Any who, you see a couple of the pics below, however, to see all of the pics, you can CLICK HERE.

My first KFC Fiery Chicken

Here's a small, tiny, little, short incident which happened a few weeks back. This may not matter a lot but I did for me. This was not a life changing incident though, it did change a bit of my perspective. Any let me draw you a picture first.

Voucher received from KFC with help from Indiblogger

I had register for KFC's bucket of Fiery Grilled chicken via Indiblogger on Monday and received my coupon by Saturday. If you remember that a couple of Saturday back, we had a Lunar Eclipse. Though my mom, believes too much into the eclipse affecting our lives, I insisted on getting the voucher redeemed the same day. I had to, well, not convince but persuade her which was successful. So, it was fixed that it will a KFC's Fiery Grilled dinner at home.

Me and bro drove to the KFC and presented the voucher and one which was surprising that the girl behind the counter didn't ask any question. She took the order and we waited. My mom being a vegan, we had to pick some veggie food which was not a big fuss. We asked the people at KFC to hold on to our order by the time we come back. When I offered to pay for the order, they suggested to do that when the order is completed. Good for me.

We went out and bought the shudh-shakahaari food. We came back to KFC, payed the bill and took the hot, grilled chicken to home. When at home, I took out my wallet and phone to keep it on the table, I realized that my phone was missing. And just like you see it in the movies, a string of events flashed, at the end of which i realized that I forgot picking it up after the payment. Because late hours - 9:00 or 9:30 - there was no one to tell me to pick it up plus the guy who took the order went behind while i was collecting the "chillar".

I drove back to KFC with my heart in my mouth cause I love my phone and it is a hard earned phone of my own blogging money, as don't get much writing opportunities. I went into the KFC and thanks to that guy who held the phone with himself and showed me as I entered. At that very moment, it felt it as if I have opened the gate to Heaven and there was this angel with wings and halo, extending his hands towards me with phone.

Okay, it wasn't that filmy but if you know me, I'm a big movie buff and if, I had shot that scene, it would have been exactly the way I described above.

I suck at ending or climax or closing, so I think i'll leave this at -- Today, I had my second Fiery Grilled.

Pimp My Workstation

I believe everyone wants it - to get their workstation / cubical pimped and pimped good. I would surely love to get one. I have so many things i can get rid of or make them look different. My machine needs a technical pimp for sure. In an era of the second generation Intel processors, I'm still using the old Dual Core processors. Then , may be few more hundreds of GB to my hard disk would be a great help. Some, I don't know what or which things, however, things which can make it look like a smart cubical.

To get my cubical pimped, I'll be participating in the "Pimp My Cubical" contest held by Contest Factory. I'm already registered with them and working on the video nowadays. The day which could have been

This day could have been another of those hundreds of days when I would just lay back, watch a movie or talk to someone on phone or chat the hour out. But don't know why and where got this energy to sit down and try to post an update on my BLOG............. sometimes, it just seems delusional that I'm a blogger. There have been pretty few event in past couple of months which can support that hypothesis.

Believe me, I'm not at all busy, though, I think I have found someone to spend this time and somewhere to spend this time at. In the meanwhile, I have doing a few things. Such as, getting excited for Indiblogger meet this coming Sunday, getting over the dismal loss of my team against the rivals at work in a game of Cricket for which was kinda my fault but it's good that not everyone I knew was watching me perform. Well, when I think about it again, I believe it was the best thing about that Game.

I have also been keeping up with my movies. Some of the recent movies I'm proud of being seen are The Adventures of Tintin - The secret of the Unicorn and Rockstar. Both being directed by people I admire for their work. Tintin is being presented by Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson and Rockstar is directed by Imtiaz Ali.

Event though, I have few more things to share but need to get on with my daily routine. So, until next..........

Lately It Has Been

May be, its about time. It have been pretty long time, since, I have updated my page. I have been keeping up with my blog and I know it does take some toll of me too. I like writing or, say, updating my blog because this is the only instance where I try my creative mind and try to type. This keeps me in the habit of learning new words and better way of expressing my self. This was the mojo which was keeping my typing consistently last year. Though, I think i have lost it now. Its not like i have busy with work or life. My life and work still sucks the same way as were last year, if not more.

~~May be~~ Naah, It's surely me. I have been lazy. I have been doing nothing more these lately, then ever. Lying around and just thinking of any and everything. Don't know why, but i have a hunch that one day the lying around will help me. God knows what will that day be like.

May be someday, my life won't be like my inbox with only spam mails and nothing meaningful.

One of the things i miss here, after coming to home from Bengaluru, is the advanced technology, especially the POS systems. When I saw 127 hours, the movie by Danny Boyle, the one thought which was going round and round in my mind was can I, in my wildest dreams, do this? No, not axing my arm off my body, but to travel into a country side with no signs of humanity around, alone.

Then, may be I am not cut to be like this but i would certainly love to do something similar one day. Moving away from the culture and all the noises, somewhere far enough, quite enough for one to hear oneself. No wonder people retire and move to places like these and take a much deserved break from the hectic schedules of life and just indulge in the air and calmness.

Though, i feel its still to early to say something like this but I would certainly want move to a place similar in the latter years of my years. Well, being a googler, i tried googling my thought this instance again and found some interesting results. The one on the top was Boulder real estate, which seemed like a great place to escape to. You can find the various or may be all of the Boulder CO homes for sale and choose the fittest for your pocket and dreams.

I'm an avid music listener and plays. I always try to go through newspaper and search other means of communication to find any possible information of any good music performances being put up around me. There's one question, i have been asked many a times, by different or same people. The last time i remember THE question being thrown at me was about a couple of months back while attending a friends engagement.

Everybody was dancing on the floor and greeting the happy couple. People were taking rounds to dance with and along the couple of the day on groovy Bollywood dance numbers. Then, comes a friend, taking my hand and asking me to dance and show the joy. Me, as always, said no to it. When asked, i told her, "Dancing is not my thing". "Its not dancing, we are showing how good we are feeling on this joyous occasion. Aren't you happy?", she said. "I'm. Very much. But, still, i don't dance", i replied. And then came THE question, "How do you show happiness then?".

The question wasn't easy for me. I held myself and didn't answer the question. Even though, i dodged the question for that instance but it did make me realize that what is it that i do when I'm happy?Well, there are lots of people who dance or sing or shout or does many a things. And i don't do any of these things.

I, when happy, enjoys the moment by just letting the feeling seep, seep really deep into me. I exactly like they show in movies, when the protagonist scores the winning goal/run, which makes his/her team champion, and everything just goes silent, slow and stunned. I also do a few other things. One of them i talking. Yea, but may not only about the happiness. I just like to accompanied when happy, which is totally opposite to when i feel sad and loved being left alone and watch FRIENDS. Yea, FRIENDS is my stress/tension buster but we aren't going down that road today.

Another things i do, and which i used to a lot often earlier and have not being doing for quite sometime now, is writing or blogging which ever you people like to call me better at.

I would really miss that one and half year when i was frequent with blogging and had a big, really big blogging family. I have lost most of them but i think these are the inevitable changes that many great people and legends have talked and wrote about.

I won't disobey the legends but here's to, again, for a full on comeback soon.

X-Men: First Class -------- Grand

Being already missed Kung Fu Panda 2's in theaters, i didn't want to take any risk with X-Men: First Class and went into the theater right on the first day of the release. Although, i hadn't think of it earlier to watch it right on friday, however, it worked out perfectly for me, though i had to run for it and even missed a couple of early minutes of the movie. Any who, i was on time to catch most of it.

Cast

I was thrilled to see James McAvoy's name in the cast. I could watch a movie only for this guy. I have seen a few of his movies and loved them all. James is possibly one of the best of actors at present. Other than him, the whole cast was new to me.

About

There were many a moments in the movie when mouth was wide open and jaw lying on the floor like the moment when Megneto turns the satellite's receiver face or when he lifts the sub marine out of the water and carries it to the coast. You'll know when you'll see those propeller out in the wind and turning right in front of your face. Something tell me that i have already told you about how good the action is in the movie and it is bettered by the brilliant camera work.

But the best part about the movie was the performance delivered by the two leads of the movie - James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender. Well, it seemed like a competition or healthy competition where both tried to out run each other performance wise, however, both were equally brilliant. James was so real while portraying Charles Xavier and the way he displayed the calmness of Prof. X on screen is one of the high points about the movie.

Michael as Megneto was a surprise to me. May to people, who have seen him earlier, his performance didn't came as a shocker but it so so was for me. This is first Michael Fassbender movie where i recognized him, even though i have seen Inglorious Basterds and 300, however, i didn't where he was in those movies. The scene where Charlers tell him about finding inspiration from the memories between rage and serenity and then Erik turns the satellite receiver face was one of the many scenes of the movie which i'll always remember.

There are other performers who managed to not be over shadowed by James and Michael among whom my two favs are Jennifer Lawrence (Raven/Mystique) and Kevin Bacon (Sebastian Shaw).

All in all, the movie is such a refresher and brings back the belief of the audience back in to the X-Men franchise especially after the not so great X3 and X Men Origin - Wolvorine.

Good Things

Everything's good about this movie. If you are a X-Men fan, then, this movie will satisfy your all your urges and then, will leave you to want more. At the end of the movie, the only thing in my head was when will i be able to see the next X-Men movie.

And I just wish that this time, the X-Men franchise sticks with Matthew Vaughn for good and bring peace to the X-Men Fans.

Another thing, i want to do before closing this post is to appreciate a man, and i do wanted to do this since a long time, Stan Lee. The guy who have been the greater force who visualized the character and their powers. He who can easily be called as the father of modern comics.

This movie is a must watch for everyone who have ever seen a mutant movie or read a comic or even heard about it or even if haven't heard about it.

Beauty to One

It was never easy to write on this topic. I had to brainstorm myself, talk to different people, take lonely walks around the streets in the dark – even a of times I was questioned by the policemen patrolling the area, “kyu neend nai aa rahi?” I just simply nodded to them. I tried listening music, gazing at the sky, reading about it and questioning myself about it, however, the answer was always as confusing as I have always been throughout my life.

What does beauty mean to me? Think you, idiot think. How hard can it be? It just a simple word but you have been so pathetic at this that compared to you other bloggers who have already posted on this topic seems to be working with NASA.

But this, beauty isn’t only a word. I feel it’s more like an emotion or feeling because that’s the only domain where even the smartest of human beings among us haven’t really defined/explained/elaborated word by word.

Beauty being a feeling, for me, gives me the liberty to change the definition of it as much as I can and to whatever I can. Some day, beauty is just a name for m (let’s not dig deep into the name ......... yea, you know I’m talking to you) and another day, it is just physical to me. Some day, the ugliest of feeling is beauty to me and something beautiful can be the ugliest on another day. Some day, it’s an attitude and some day, it’s just style. Some day, it’s just talking and some day, it’s just watching. Some day, it’s with thousands of people and someday, it’s just lying alone under the night sky. Some day, it’s the vast ocean and someday, it’s the drop dripping from a petal. Every body is trying to find a definition while writing it but I wish not to bind it into words.

I’m trying to close this post with a conclusion; however, I’m still as confused as I was when I started writing this. But, but.......i’m still going to end it with one word which comes closest to what I have felt in last 2-3 hours. And the word is ......... *drum rolls* “ATTITUDE”. An attitude has mainly attracted me in a real person and that’s what I’m going to go with as my definition of beauty.

Scared Noida

This place was way more safe and happy in my memories than it is now. When we used to go to the stadium, about a few blocks away from my place and still would come back with no fear in my heart.

But the streets aren't that safe now. 3 robbing cases with in 10 days that too on the same street again and again has sacred the locals here. People are afraid to take a walk on the streets after dinner. Nowadays, when i go the local park at 10-11 in the night, many a times, I'm the only one there. No one wants to come out in the open lonely even in the summer of Delhi.

Hoping for a better place to live.

Recently, i came across a campaign which i believe is very advantageous. Everybody has heard of food storage but putting it to this good of use is something innovative, effective and can bring a lot changes to your life.

Commodity prices are always rising given that inflation is constantly rising in the new world. But how can you counter the raising commodity prices is the important question. Food storage is a good option where you can store the food and i believe many of us do so. However, is it the best way? Usually it goes like this, you buy the food or canned food and you store them. As the time passes buy, you buy more but the cans left earlier gets buried down as the new cans takes place and the end, those buried cans/food gets wasted, which isn't the smartest thing.

Another process which can be incorporated is to freeze dried food where you can store and retain it's taste and flavor for at least 25 years. This kind of storage takes lesser space and you can save up to 4 times the money spent on the conventional storing techniques. It's always easy to prepare the food.

All in all it's a good thing to think about and while you think about it, also spare thought of attending the group try-n-buy event in your town.

Well, it's not easy to find a single place to find all the different kind of your favorite music and genres. I have experienced the similar issue, if one site offered me a vast verity music but then it could give the quality i wanted, then other who gives me the quality, doesn't have the verity.
