Book Review

This book is pretty cool. It was a nice change to buy something from a person who produces so much free content.

I didn't quite read the entire book but I think I got the gist of it:

Old tools and processes are always better than new tools and processes (old/new relative to the day the book was first published), therefore one should learn to use old tools and processes and particle board is terrible. Further, learning to use moulding planes rather than a CNC router will make the world a better place, if and only if we persist in learning to use moulding planes.

There was something about mass consumerism and aesthetic anarchy but I can't remember the details. Seemed like a dichotomy between fine furniture and anything made from particle board, but again - hazy on the details.

Also, this guy knows a lot about hand tools, and traditional tool chests are pretty cool.
