The world of technology is forever turning, and with that in mind 2013 is once again set to push the envelope of belief and possibility further than ever before. There are sure to be new technologies that will change how we think about medicine, transport, entertainment and much more. We looked at the biggest and best technology products either confirmed or rumored to be hitting the scene in 2013, and why they will make such an impact.

Phone Innovations

Mobile phones seem to change and be innovated so quickly that it is almost sickening. It is a fickle world where you can have the best product on the market in January, only to have something that appears outdated and obsolete come May.

Such is the way of the world, unfortunately. Rumors this week suggest that the iPhone 6 will be available in a number of colors, as well as there being options for various screen sizes.

Although the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U are both relatively new, there hasn't really been an industry ‘game changer’ for a number of years. That could be set to change in 2013, with a new Xbox console heavily rumored to be on the way from Microsoft in the latter half of the year.

Patents already filed by Microsoft include one concerning the projection of 3D images onto walls, while it is also expected that the new console, allegedly to be called Infinity, will be the first console to host games exclusively from cloud servers without the need to buy a physical game or download hefty files to your system.

What makes these innovations all the more exciting is that they are just the tip of the iceberg, there will inevitably be other developments that haven’t yet been hinted at or reported which will also take the world by storm in 2013.

One more thing which i would like to include that as Xperia S packs with Qualcomm Snapdragon 1.5 GHz Dual-core Processor along with Adreno 220 GPU and Phones like Samsung Galaxy S3 and HTC One X packs 1.4 GHz Quad-core Processor, people would prefer to buy S3 or One X but its not like that. The Processor that Sony Xperia S has is enough for 3D gaming and smooth running of apps.It is also capable of playing Sony PlayStation games. Currently none of the apps or games demand Quad-core Processor. This can be understood by the fact that Apple's iPhone 4S and recently launched New iPad 3 contains 1 GHz Dual-core Processor and they produce superb graphics for apps and games.

Thus according to me Xperia S is the best Android smartphone a user can have till date. Its a true value for money product from Sony.

It makes us to stand for it for whole night just to buy it. Launch day of any Apple product is like the best day for any gadget lover in the world. People waits whole year for every new generation of Apple products. Apple's huge success is purely due to iPhone. When Apple launched first generation iPhone in 2007,it created a tremendous buzz around the globe. Then year after year Apple launched new versions of iPhone from first generation iPhone to fifth generation iPhone 4S.

Every smartphone in the world is useless without the apps and games,thus Apple launched Apple App store and iTunes store for it. Starting from the iPhone hardware to iOS and Apple App store has changed the whole scenario of smartphone market in the world.

Apart from making superb products Apple is also smart enough to keep its new product details secret. People just make various assumptions of their new avatars. When Apple launched its iPhone 4S everyone around the world was waiting for the iPhone 5. It was a huge increment over the iPhone 4 not in terms of design but in terms of upgraded camera, iOS 5, A5 dual core processor, better GPU and Siri Personal assistant. Everyone in this world was waiting for iPhone 5 because in the peoples’ frame of reference it was the best time for it, but Apple has totally different thoughts about its strategy. We can get the idea of their strategy from their recent launch of the new iPad (Rumored as iPad 3 or iPad HD). It has the same design as of iPad 2, but they made changes in the screen resolution and provided Retina display and more powerful CPU and GPU. Thus as having huge number of customers in the world, Apple will always launch the product which suits everyone’s mindset and need.

Now let’s see the possible specs and design of the new iPhone:

1) The next generation iPhone may be named as the New iPhone or iPhone 5.

2) It will surely have Quad-core processor or more powerful dual core processor.

3) It will have NFC capabilities.

4) Its screen size may be 3.7 inch (Higher possibility) or it might have huge screen of size 4.6 inch (Lower possibility).

5) It will have the same design as current iPhone 4S.

6) It might have better Retina display because it has been their pattern of launching new iPhone every year with better and better screens.

7) It will have 12 MP Camera.

8) Fully sophisticated Siri Personal Assistant rather than current beta version of it.

Thus these are the assumption of the upcoming iPhone. Let’s hope for the best for us to enjoy and I think it will surely make us to stand in queue outside the Apple store for whole night or day!

Gone were the days of non-user friendly Windows user-interface which used to come in HTC Smartphones. Now there comes the most user-friendly and visual treat Windows Phone Mango 7.5 update. It has the brilliant UI offering the funky and eye catching colorful look. It’s truly a competitor of Android OS and Apple’s iOS. The only thing which needs to be taken care of is the Microsoft Marketplace. But as the number of apps is constantly increasing day by day in Windows Marketplace this thing will be resolved soon.

Currently Smartphone manufacturers like HTC, Samsung and Nokia are making Windows Phones. But the company which provides best Windows phone is the Nokia. Presently Nokia is offering Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 in its Windows phone portfolio. This is truly a magnificent step by Nokia of using Windows OS in their upcoming smartphones. Also according to the recent news Nokia is going to launch White Lumia 800 which looks superb. So now let's see how much the Microsoft Mango 7.5 OS and Nokia deal does in the smartphone and tablet world. According to me its's a cool OS and it's a matter of developer's interest in the Microsoft Marketplace for making quality apps as such in Apple App Store.

HTC Endeavor at Mobile World Congress

HTC Endeavor (HTC Edge) at Mobile World Congress:

HTC's latest phone has been the subject of much speculation. At least four names have been attributed to it over the last few months - Edge, Supreme, One X, and latterly Endeavor - and there is mounting anticipation about its appearance at Mobile World Congress (MWC). Hosted in Barcelona at the end of February 2012, MWC is expected to feature the grand unveiling of the Endeavor (although just to be contrary, the launch may now be pushed back yet further). HTC need to score a result with this phone after their stock price dipped in 2011, and they claim to have learned from their mistakes, electing to produce the occasional remarkable device instead of a flurry of equivocal variants. Tantalisingly, the rumour mill continues to suggest that they may just deliver.

The buzz on the street is that the Endeavor will feature a revamped user interface in HTC Sense 4.0, and will run on Android's latest ICS 4.0. Sense is anticipated to deliver new typography and improved data and widget displays. Greater integration with Dropbox is widely-tipped to feature, purportedly allowing up to 50GB cloud storage. There's the addition of a new Guest Mode to allow friends to browse on your Endeavor with access and actions limited as you wish. The email service has also been updated, with better threaded messages and intelligent push support that anticipates your usage levels. All that comes with HTC’s existing Beats Audio sound technology, and rumours of PlayStation certification.

Enough about all that though: what most people are talking about is the eagerly anticipated quad-core NVidia Tegra 3 chip. What does this mean? It should provide what NVidia describe on their site as "extreme multitasking". Most contemporary phones are released with dual-core processors. With single core, the isolated processor limits how many tasks can be undertaken at any one time. When you have multiple cores, your device can split up processing tasks between them, so it will run more quickly and efficiently. Quad-core, only currently available in tablets, will make the sort of multi-tasking that troubles current smartphones lightning fast. Contrary to what you would think, this should also mean more battery life too.

Official confirmation about the Endeavor's full specs and features from HTC isn't expected until MWC 2012, but industry rumour suggests a host of attractive features. A 4.7 inch HD screen with 720p display, 8MP camera and Dropbox integration for cloud-based file sharing all promise to add to the appeal of the latest Sense UI and Android's latest OS. This phone certainly seems to be future-proofed for as long as its contract extends. We are looking at monthly phone contracts approaching £40 when the Endeavor hits the market, as all this cutting edge software and hardware will not come cheap. With this phone, however, Taiwanese company HTC certainly seem to be making a bold move in reinvigorating their brand. Getting a quad-core smart phone on the market ahead of the likes of LG or Samsung could be the leg-up that they need.

The hardware and software in iPhone 4S just process and transfers the voice data to the Apple servers and this in return are replied to your iPhone and again this data will be transformed into speech by Siri. Currently this system is in beta form which is continuously upgrading. Thus already a much sophisticated and highly intelligent system is becoming better and better for us to enjoy.

Android's Iris:

Android’s Iris is a system developed by Dextra software developing company and not by Google. This system works in the same way as Apple’s Siri, but it is less mature than Siri. This app can be downloaded from the Android Market for free. This is like a hope to an Android phone of having such an intelligent system . I personally used Iris in my phone and I found that it needs much hard work and superior quality like Siri personal assistant. Though anyone can find it enjoyable by asking various questions and giving various commands to it.

Apple’s Siri is much better but comes only with iPhone 4S, whereas Iris comes free and can be downloaded in any Android smartphone.

Here i will discuss about the new technology which just entered in smartphone industry called NFC. Till now you might have heard about this from different sources. So first question that comes in our mind is what actually NFC technology is?

NFC means Near-Field Communication through which data can be transfered and received at the distance of up to 4 inches. For transferring data you just have to bring two devices in the range of 4 inches, then it automatically detects the device and establish connection between them. You can get the idea through the images below:

Thus it will bring transformation in the fields such as,

4) Data sending and receiving

Thus it makes our life much comfortable. This technology will increase the importance of having a smartphone. It will change the way we make payments for buying different products. Thus if we have a credit/debit card information stored in our NFC enabled device we can pay for products by just waving our smartphone or by tapping it to the device, rather than using our actual card. In the future if this technology works well then i think banks just don’t have to provide us a plastic credit/debit card, they just need to give us our card details for purchasing goods. Also as we know the range of communication is just 4 inches so no unauthorized communication can take place. I think its a better technology than Bluetooth because it consumes much less power and also works when other device to which we are communicating is not powered.

I am going to review the iMessage service which is recently launched in iOS 5 by Apple along with the highly anticipated iPhone 4S. iMessage is actually a system having very high potential. It is basically a messaging protocol that is used to allow users of iOS devices(iOS 5 only)to text message each other. Not only text but pictures, GIF animation and videos can be send. It is similar to the popular BBM service by BlackBerry which allows user to communicate cross device but in same platform, but its much faster than BBM.According to me its way better than BBM which is currently the only reason to buy a BlackBerry smartphone, which you will understand this after reading this article completely.

The great thing about iMessage lies in the fact that it is integrated in Message app on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. It automatically understands that whether the recipient is iOS user or not. If so then it will automatically changes its user-interface. While entering the recipient name it will simultaneously check for the same. If it founds iOS user, then it will automatically shifts the mode of transmitting the data from cellular network to data network or uses wifi.

When typing an iMessage,it works exactly same as any other message does and you can send pictures,videos and GIF animation free of charge.If you are on the receiving end of a message,you can choose to turn on read reciepts which will add a small notice under the last message on the senders phone letting them know you have read it.So we can also know whether recipient is in the mood of chatting or not.It will always notify you that it has been received by other device properly.It will even get a ‘typing’ symbol that tells you the other person is in the process of writing a reply.Another great feature is that if you own many idevices than it will automatically sync all your conversation in all the devices,so you can continue it from any device.Also don’t compare it with other apps like Whatsapp because iMessage is an Apple’s service which is integrated in the device itself and will be enjoyed by every idevice user.

Its very simple just Go to Settings>Messages>iMessage

After that you need to add the iMessage address of your friends in your contacts.After following this steps start enjoying your iMessage service.

This Smartphone is for the one who wants to enjoy mobile gaming and music for the fullest. The Apple App store is the best and the biggest app store ever in the world which packs superb games and software. Though having lakhs of games and software still its number increases day by day. Also people think that it has only paid apps and not free apps as Android Market. But its not true, it has lots of free softwares and games which you can download easily, but only in one condition, you must have credit card for making Apple account. Another option is to jailbreak it. But it will harm your iPhone’s warranty. Believe me it has much better apps than Android market, having superb quality.

So its up to you how you want to do.

People will have one question in their mind that after the launch of iPhone 4 why to buy iPhone 3GS. But its not true, iPhone 3GS is the matter of using it great and eye candy design along with its ios. Truly it’s a Smartphone to have.
