The Angry Birds game has had over 250 million downloads since its release in 2009. It can now been found on just about every smartphone platform and is available for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii, as well as for the PC.
If you are a fan of the award winning successful application phenomenon, the hysterically funny Angry Birds, then good news await you as a movie about the game is currently in the making. Though no trailer has yet been released, word is, that Marvel are getting their hands busy in the making of the film, but it won’t be available until 2014 at the earliest. Let’s hope we will not be tired of the Angry Birds series by then, and hopefully live through December 2012...

The background behind the movie starts with the fact, that Rovio, the creater of Angry Birds, has hired former Marver Studios chairman David Maisel as a special adviser. The latter, who left Marvel in 2009 after Walt Disney Co. bought the studio for $4 billion, will be the executive producer for the upcoming movie. He was als responsible for shepherding mega-hits like Iron Man, Hulk, Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger.

Although there are already ideas for short animation films with cooperation of the Finnish animation studio Kombo, the development of a full-length movie will however take a few years. Nevertheless, this is an important step for Rovio toward expanding its Angry Birds franchise and popularize their product.
The movie about Angry Birds might really come into light one day and be a huge success like the game itself, but I guess we will just have to wait for it to come out before the euphoria around the Angry Birds series has gone away.

The Bird Types in Angry Birds for PC

There are seven types of birds to be catapulted in the Angry Birds for PC game.
In this guide you will be made known of their characteristics, strengths and weaknesses, which if considered ,,in flight’’ you will be more successful in breaking through those greedy pig’s fortresses.

1. Red bird –It is unlocked at the very beginning. Overall it is a boring, uninteresting, plain projectile bird. It has no special ability when tapped, unless a kamikaze cry of a sort, and won’t do much damage either. It breaks through glass, but when used against stone or wood it won’t stand a chance. However, it is useful for clearing an obstacle or two for the next bird which comes to the slingshot, and in some cases might even bent a wall or a foundation and cause a part of the fortress to fall, crushing any pigs below.

2. Blue bird (Scatter-shot bird) – Small, gentle and friendly looking. On the other hand – deadly as a shotgun. The Scattershot birds has the ability to dissipate into three small projectiles when the mouse is clicked. This is why you should think of these little guys like a shotgun indeed. You can make the scattershot early to hit a good range of targets, but keep in mind that when facing a wall of wood alone each of them stands a little chance and has much smaller impact, although this way they can hit a good range of targets. Ideally you will want to release them close to the target so all three birds will smash into a small area at once, inflicting much more damage. The Scatter-shot bird is best used against ice or thinner wood. Don’t even bother breaking through stone.

3. Yellow bird (Kamikaze bird) – The Kamikaze bird rockets at a super speed when the mouse is clicked. Thus combined with their triangular form they are best used against wooden obstacles or walls, when they literally cut through and destroy anything in their path. Those frenzied little attackers show no fear, but are useless against solid material like stone. Surprisingly they have little impact on ice as well.

4. Black bird (Bomb-bird) – The black bird leaves little standing in it’s wake of destruction. It is the only bird that destroys blocks and walls of stone, and after impact it has a 2 seconds timer, which when detonated explodes and deals massive damage to all which surrounds it. Alternatively you can click the mouse at a right moment and the timer switches to remote control, which means the bird goes off when you want it to, even when still in flight. Remember, these guys are so heavy that they'll destroy even a large chunk of stone in just one hit.

5. White bird – The white bird works very much like a bomber. It is specialized in dropping egg bombs exactly where they are needed and then simply flies away. However, the lower the eggs are the dropped, the more impact and splash damage they will cause. Don't forget: these enemies can still be used as classic red-styled birds if you don't tap. Useful if you just need a boring old projectile.

6. Boomerang bird - Boomerang birds turn around and fly backwards at roughly double the speed when the screen is tapped. Learning their trajectory is just a matter of patience and experience. In the right hands, though, these exotic toucans can be deadly accurate, and very powerful. They are good when smashing through ice and wood only though. You can fire them backwards too, and then quickly tap the screen to make a fast-flying bird. You'll be hard pressed to make efficient hits in this way, but it's a useful trick to keep under your belt.

7. Big Brother (Wreaking ball) – The big brother bird looks very much like the plain and normal red bird, only it is about several times bigger and heavier. It smashes ice and wood with ease, and you shouldn’t bother about concrete or stone either. It has the destructive power of the black bomb bird, only without the explosive finale. Although his giant size can’t help him to squeeze into tight corners, the massive size makes up for it by destroying entire structures even when used on luck. This is why there is little strategy to be taken into account when using the Big Brother: just let him loose and watch materials smash and pigs pop !

Angry Birds for PC Golden Eggs

Angry Birds for PC is currently holding the record for best selling games on Apple’s App Store. The game’s fame is unsurprising and well deserved due to the amazing depth it offers, to which also add the levels which players can unlock, that is to say the Golden Egg levels. In order for those stages to be properly unlocked however, players must find the Golden Eggs, which are scattered around the game levels.

On the other hand these eggs have the ability to unlock any number of cool bonuses. Though they can range from additional , kind of weird and unordinary levels, they are often filled with a ton of pigs or sometimes huge battlefield puzzles that the player has to solve. Mighty Hoax Level 5-19 (rocket ship)
The Golden Egg is located on the right side off the screen directly above the rocket ship. If you zoom out and throw a Yellow Bird in that direction you’ll see it when the screen moves up a little. You can reach it with either a Yellow Bird or with the White Bird. If you opt to use the White Bird drop a bomb to the right of the wood sticking up on the first tower and the bird will take off and hit the Golden Egg (probably easier to use the yellow bird).

Poached Eggs level 2-2
If you are to obtain the golden egg on this level you have to destroy the beach ball during play
Golden Egg #4
Obtain 3 stars on all levels of Poached Eggs and the Golden Egg will be yours.

Golden Egg #5
Obtain the 5th Golden Egg by simply clicking on the Credits button from the main menu. Watch it until it ends and simply click again on the egg, as it appears.

Golden Egg #6 Poached Eggs level 1-8
Simply clicking on the barricaded treasure chest will unlock the special Golden Egg level on this stage

Golden Egg #7
This one is quite tricky to obtain, as you will have to achieve 3 stars on all levels of the Might Hoax stages.

On the episode select screen double-tap the sun below the levels (bottom center).

Golden Egg #9
Mighty Hoax level 4-7
In level 4-7, pan all the way out so you can see the hidden yellow bird. Nail it for your 9th golden egg.

Golden Egg #10
Danger Above level 6-14
In level 6-14, to the far right of the screen there is a balloon floating beneath the level of the platform that all the pigs are on.Only by using the new Boomerang Bird is the proper way to get it.Wait for the perfect moment to activate the boomerang after launching it so it swings around and hits the balloon.

Danger Above Level Selection Screen
Once on the Danger Above level selection screen drag the screen to the left until you can’t go any further. You’ll see the Golden Egg hidden on the right past the last group of levels. PC/Mac users, you have to click inside the window and then drag.

Golden Egg #12
Obtain 3 stars on all levels of Danger Above in order to obtain the 12th Golden Egg.

Golden Egg #13
Danger Above level 8-15
The Golden Egg is to be found under the slingshot platform. To get it just bounce a Yellow Bird off the trampoline on the bottom right across from the Golden Egg or use Boomerang Bird.

Golden Egg #14
The Big Setup level 9-14
Again all depends on your skill with the Boomerang Bird. Firstly zoom out and look closely to see the Golden Egg on the bottom right, hidden under a hard hat. Skill and precision have the final word here.

Golden Egg #15
The Big Setup level 10-3
On this level you will have to smash the duck,which is situated underneath the bridge, in order to add your 15th Golden Egg to the collection.

Golden Egg #16
The Big Setup level 11-15
Here the Golden Egg lies to the left below the slingshot. It would be easier if you zoomed the whole level first though. Then again, hit it with the Boomerang Bird for proper obtainment.

Golden Egg #17
Collecting the 17th Golden Egg is a pain indeed, as the player will have to achieve yet again 3 stars on all levels from The Big Setup stage.

Golden Egg #18
Ham ‘Em High level 12-12
Destroy the trophy in the middle of the level that sits between the two piles of jewels. This one is not easy to get!

Golden Egg #19
Ham ‘Em High level 13-10
This one may seem quite impossible to reach, though you should first zoom out. Then launch a white bird and at the right time click for the special ability, launching him up in the air in order to hit the Golden Egg

Golden Egg #20
Ham ‘Em High level 14-4
First zoom all the way out and you’ll see the Golden Egg on the top of the cliff to the far right. Launch a yellow bird at a high trajectory and click him at just the right time to arch him up and over to the Golden Egg.

Observation is key and can give you a much better perspective and a better planning on how to achieve the maximum, if possible.
Also, every bird leaves a trail behind, which means that you can either use the same firing angle if you wish to hit the same target or slightly deviate from the previous shot due to better precision or target change.

Although the game has recently been converted to PC, the basic gameplay of the mobile and touchscreen version has remained much the same. Players take control of a flock of different bird types, which are attempting to retrieve their eggs, which have been by a group of evil green pigs. They are usually sheltered by structures made of different materials such as ice, wood, stone or concrete. The main objective – eliminate all pigs on the level. For this the players have their slingshot at their disposal, as well as various birds for projectiles. Players must either directly hit the pigs or damage their structures, which when unbalanced, hit and damaged often have the tendency to collapse and kill all the pigs underneath it. Finally the famous 2009 touch-screen application has come out for the PC. This is much comforting for people, who do not wield a smart phone or other mobile devices and tablets, as this way anyone can have access to Angry Birds.
Overall it can be said that the game experience is very much identical to that of the iPhone app, with some minor differences of course, so that it can be properly adjusted to the PC. Players must now use a mouse or a trackpad (depending whether it’s a PC or laptop) instead of touch. There is an open hand icon when the mouse is in a free, hover state. However, when clicking or dragging the hand icon closes. This is quite a nice aid and a visible clue to tell players when pulling and adjusting the firing degree of the slingshot. It allows you to fine tune shots more than just observing the angle of the slingshot band. When played in full screen the game provides even better visibility and greater tactical assessment, other way said –exploiting the enemy’s weaknesses and throwing your birds with precision there, where they would cause massive damage to the pig’s fortresses.

Although the original game had to maintain some minor differences in terms of game play, the PC version is also to be considered another success. If you are a fan of the mobile version of the game, then having it on your PC is a must.

Records estimate, that the series Angry Birds has been downloaded over 250 million times for all types of platforms, with numbers rising every day. This means that the game is currently the most successful mobile application and video game.
What contributes to the Angry Birds’s worldwide fame and success is the simplicity of playing, which combined with attractive and modern graphics and models, as well as the ever changing environment in the hundreds of levels, not only puts players to the test, but also keeps them tied to an action, in which precision, as well as luck, have the final words in terms of delivering joy and amusement for the player.
