"முட்டாள் மாதிரிப் பேசாதே..உன்ன பாத்தா நல்லா அழகா இருந்த,என்ன பாத்து நீ சிரிக்கவே நானும் சிரிச்சேன்,நீ செலவு பண்ணவே நானும் பார்க்கு பீச்னு உன் கூட சுத்தினேன்..நீ காதலிக்கிறேன்னு சொன்ன,நானும் ஒரு ஜாலிக்கு அப்படி சொன்னேன்..அதுக்காக கல்யாணம் பண்ணிக்கோன்னு டார்ச்சர் பண்ணுறியே?

நா கட்டிக்கப் போறவரு ஒரு Software Engineer.. மாசம் அறுபதாயிரம் சம்பாதிக்கிறார்.."

"அப்போ பணம் தான் எல்லாமா கீதா?"

"Ofcourse உன்ன கட்டிக்கிட்டு உனக்கும் உன் குடும்பத்துக்கும் வடிச்சிக் கொட்றது பெட்டரா இல்ல foreign ல சொகுசா வாழறது பெட்டரா?"

"கீதா இதான் உன் முடிவா?"

"என்ன மிரட்டுறியா நான் யார்...." பேசி முடிப்பதற்குள் மதன் தன் இடையிலிருந்தக் கத்தியை எடுத்துக் கீதாவைச் சரமாரியாகக் குத்துகிறான்..

"ஏண்டி என்ன ஏமாத்திட்டு வெளிநாட்டுக்குப் போயி வாழப்போரியா?பாத்தியா இப்போ உன்ன வேற உலகத்துக்கே அனுப்பிட்டேன்..ஹஹஹா ஹஹஹா"

"மதன்..." என முனகிக்கொண்டே கீதா விழுந்தாள்..

என்று இயக்குனர் சந்தோஷ் சொல்லி முடித்தார்.

இப்படி ஒரு காட்சி "காதலித்தப் பொழுதுகள்" என்னும் படத்துக்காக படமாக்கப்பட்டது.

நண்பர்களே ஒரு திடுக்கிடும் அறிமுகம் தரும் முயற்சியில் தான் பதிவின் ஆரம்பத்தில் அந்தக் காட்சியை விவரித்தேன். முயற்சி வெற்றியா தோல்வியா என்பதை வாசகர்கள் தான் சொல்ல வேண்டும். மாஸ் மீடியா - இது சினிமாவைப் பற்றி நான் எழுதும் ஒரு கற்பனைக் கதை.சினிமாவைப் பற்றிய என் கற்பனைகளைத் தொகுத்து ஒரு கதையாக எழுதும் முயற்சி தான் இந்த மாஸ் மீடியா.இந்தக் கதையில் வரும் சம்பவங்களும் கதாபாத்திரங்களும் முழுக்க முழுக்கக் கற்பனையே.யாரையும் குறிப்பிடுவன அல்ல.

மீண்டும் மாஸ் மீடியாவுக்குச் செல்வோம்...

"யோவ் பாத்து யா பாம்புக்கேதாச்சு ஒண்ணுன்னா பாம்பாட்டி கடிச்சிடுவான்.. குமாரு, ஹீரோ வந்துட்டாரா.. producer என் கழுத்த நெறிக்கிறான் யா..அந்தாளோட பீ.ஏக்கு phone போடு.." என பரபரப்பாக சுற்றிக்கொண்டிருந்தான் ப்ரொடக்ஷன் மேனேஜர் மணி..

"சார் இங்க மணின்னு.." என இழுத்தான் ஸ்ரீதர்.. "நான் தான் பா மணி..ஊருக்குப் புதுசா இன்னா விஷயம் என்னயத்தேடி வந்திருக்க?"

"ஆமாம் சார் நான் தென்சாரத்துல இருந்து வர்றேன்..சந்திரன் அய்யா இந்த லெட்டெர உங்க கிட்டக் கொடுக்கச் சொன்னார்"

"அட நம்ம ஊர் தானா நீயும்.." கடிதத்தைப் படித்தப் பிறகுச் சற்றுக் கடுப்பானாலும்,அதை வெளியில் காட்டாமல் "ஏன் யா சந்திரன் சார் சொன்னாருன்னு ஸ்டைலா பைய மாட்டிகிட்டுச் சென்னைக்கு வந்துடறதா..நீங்க வெளியில இருந்துப் பார்க்கிற சினிமா வேற ஆனா இங்க நடக்கறது வேற..டைரக்டர் ஆகனன்ற தப்பான ஆசைய இப்போவே விட்டுடு..அதெல்லாம் ரொம்ப கஷ்டம் தம்பி"

"சார் நீங்க அப்படி சொல்லக்கூடாது சந்தோஷ் சார் கிட்ட என்ன அசிஸ்டண்டா சேர்த்து விட வேண்டியது உங்க பொறுப்பு"

"அவனே ஒரு சைக்கோ..அவன் கிட்ட சிபாரிசுனு போனா உன்னோட சேர்த்து என்னையும் விரட்டி விட்டுடுவான் யா..சினிமால டைரக்டர் ஆகறது அவ்வளவு சுலபமில்ல தம்பி..உன்ன மாதிரி தினம் ஆயிரக்கணக்கானவங்க கிளம்பி வர்றாங்க..யாரோ ஒருத்தர் ரெண்டு பேர் தான் ஜெயக்கிறாங்க.."

"அந்த ஒருத்தர் ரெண்டு பேரா நான் இருக்கலாம்ல சார்"

"பாத்தாப் படிச்சவன் மாதிரி இருக்க..வந்தோமா ரெண்டு நாளிருந்தோம ஊற சுத்திப் பாத்தோம போனோமா இருப்பியா அதை விட்டுட்டு..உனக்கு இப்போ நான் சொன்னா புரியாது..ஒரு வேளை சாப்பாட்டுக்கு அலையரப்போத் தான் புரியும்.. ஏம்பா அந்த ஹீரோய்னோட நாயிக்கு பிஸ்கட் வாங்கிட்டு வந்துட்டீங்கல்ல..அப்புறம் அந்தம்மா இதக்காரணம் காட்டியே ஊரக்கூட்டுவாங்க" என அலறிக்கொண்டே சென்று விட்டார் மணி..

தன்னையும் தன் கதையையும் மட்டுமே நம்பிக் கிராமத்திலிருந்துக் கிளம்பி வந்த ஸ்ரீதருக்கு இதுச் சற்று வித்தியாசமான அனுபவமாகத்தானிருந்தது..இந்த ஊரில் எங்கே தங்குவது?யாரைப் பிடிப்பது ஒன்றுமே விளங்கவில்லை.. அவன் மனம் மிகவும் குழம்பி இருந்தது..ஒரு விஷயத்தில் மட்டும் தீர்மானமாக இருந்தான்..தன்னை ஒரு திறமையான இயக்குனர் என்று நிரூபித்துக் கொள்ளாமல் ஊருக்குத் திரும்புவதாயில்லை அவன்.அடுத்து என்ன செய்யலாம் என யோசித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும்போது,அவன் தோள்பட்டையைத் தொட்டது ஒரு கை..ஐம்பது வயது மதிக்கத்தக்க ஒரு பெரியவர் நின்று கொண்டிருந்தார்

தன்னைக் காதர் என்று அறிமுகப் படுத்திக் கொண்ட அந்தப் பெரியவர், "தம்பி இவனுங்க கெடக்குறானுங்க..நீ என் கூட வா உனக்கு நான் ஒரு வழி காட்டுறேன்." என்றார்.

ஸ்ரீதர் சற்று சந்தேகத்துடன் அவரைப் பார்த்தான்.அவன் பார்வையின் அர்த்தத்தைப் புரிந்து கொண்ட அந்தப் பெரியவர்,

"தம்பி நீ என்ன நினைக்கிறன்னு புரியுது.உன் கிட்ட சிங்கிள் டீக்குக் கூட நான் காசு கேட்க மாட்டேன். எனக்கு இளையராஜாவைத் தெரியும் டைரக்டர் ஷங்கரைத் தெரியும்னு வர்றவங்கள ஏமாத்திப் பணம் பறிக்கிறவன் இல்ல நான்.இங்க துணை நடிகர்களோட ஒரு கோஷ்டிக்கு நான் தான் ஏஜண்டு.உன் முகத்துல ஒரு நல்ல களை இருக்குப்பா. ஏதோ மனசுல பட்டதைச் சொன்னேன்."

ஸ்ரீதருக்குச் சென்னையில் உதவக்கூடிய நண்பர் என்று சொல்லிக்கொள்ளும்படி யாருடைய பெயரும் நினைவுக்கு வரவில்லை. பத்து நிமிடம் பின்னாலிருந்துத் தான் பேசுவதைக் கவனித்து விட்டு உதவ முன் வந்தப் பெரியவரை நம்பவும் மனம் வரவில்லை.

"இந்த டைரக்டர் இல்லைன்னா என்ன?இன்னும் எவ்வள்ளவோ பேர் இருக்காங்க.ஊர்ல இருந்து வர்றப்போ என் திறமைய நம்பித்தான் வந்தனே தவிர அந்த மணிய நம்பியோ இல்ல மத்தவன நம்பியோ இல்லை.இருந்தாலும், நீச்சல் தெரியனம்னா முதல்ல தண்ணீல குதிக்கனம்.சினிமான்னா என்னன்னு தெரிஞ்சிக்க இந்த காதர் பாய் மாதிரி ஆளுங்க நிச்சயம் தேவை" - இத்தனையும் ஒரு சில வினாடிகளில் ஸ்ரீதரின் மனதில் ஓடியது.இப்படி எண்ணிக்கொண்டே ஸ்ரீதர், அந்தப் பெரியவருடன் அரை மனதுடனே தான் நடந்தான்.

ஸ்டுடியோவில் "அத்தை மகள் ஆனந்தி" படப்பிடிப்பு நடைபெற்றுக் கொண்டிருக்கிறது.சென்டிமென்ட்டாக விநாயகர் கோவில் முன்பு ஒரு தேங்காய் உடைக்கப்பட்டுப் படத்துக்குப் பூஜையும் போட்டாகி விட்டது. கதாநாயகன் சரண். பத்துப் படங்களே நடித்திருந்தாலும், பெரும்பாலானவை வெற்றிப்படங்கள்..கடைசி இரண்டும் சுப்பர் ஹிட்.ஹாட்ரிக் வெற்றியை குறிவைத்து காதல்,ஆக்ஷன், செண்டிமெண்ட், நகைச்சுவை என அனைத்தும் கலந்த ஒரு ஜனரஞ்சகமானப் படமாக "அத்தை மகள் ஆனந்தி" அமையும் என்பது கோடம்பாக்கத்தில் நிலவும் கருத்து.

இன்றைய தேதிக்குச் சரணும் ஒரு டாப் ஹீரோ.இது போன்ற படங்களை விரைவாக முடிப்பதில் வல்லவரான நாராயணன் தான் இந்தப் படத்தை இயக்குகிறார்.இயக்குனர் செட்டைக் கவனிப்பதில் மும்முரமாக இருந்தார்.சரண் இயற்கையாகவே நல்ல சிவந்த நிறம்.சராசரி ஐந்தரை அடி உயரம்.பார்ப்பவர்களை உடனேக் கவரக்கூடிய வசீகரமான முகம்.பல நூறு நடனக்கலைஞர்களுடன் ஆடும் அறிமுகப் பாடலுக்கு ஆயத்தமாகிக்கொண்டிருந்தான்.

அப்போது ஸ்பாட்டுக்கு வந்துச் சேர்ந்தார் மாலினி,படத்தின் கதாநாயகி.அலங்கரிக்கப்பட்ட ஜவுளிக்கடைப் பொம்மையைப் போல் இருந்தார்.அவருடன் அவருடைய அம்மாவும் லொகேஷனுக்கு வருவது வழக்கம்.சில நேரங்களில் மாலினியைவிட அவருடைய அம்மா இளமையாகவும் அழகாகவும் தோன்றுவார்.காட்சிக்கு ஏற்ற உடையும் ஒப்பனையும் செய்து கொள்ள இருவரும் கேரவனுக்குச் சென்று விட்டார்கள்.

"டைரக்டர் சார்,இன்னைக்கி இவங்க கூட நடிக்க வேண்டிய சீன் ஏதாச்சு இருக்கா என்ன?" - கேட்டான் சரண்.

"இல்லை நீங்க ரெண்டு பெரும் சேர்ந்து நடிக்கற மாதிரி சீன் எதுவும் இன்னைக்கி இல்லை. இருந்தாலும் அவங்களுக்கொரு ஹாய் சொல்லிக் கை கொடுத்துருங்களேன்" - நாராயணன்

"இவ கூட கொஞ்சம் distance keep up பண்ணனம் சார்.ஒரு சின்ன வேண்டுகோள்,இந்தப் படத்துல முத்தக் காட்சி ஏதாச்சு இருக்கா?"

"இது வரைக்கும் அப்படி எதுவும் ஸ்கிரிப்ட்ல இல்லை" , என்று கோபமாகச் சொன்னார் நாராயணன்.

"ஸ்கிரிப்ட் அப்படியே இருக்கட்டும்.தப்பித்தவறி கூட kissing scenes வெச்சிடாதிங்க"

"என்னய்யா இது வித்தியாசமா இருக்கே? பொதுவா ஹீரோக்களெல்லாம் கிஸ்ஸிங் சீன் வைக்கச்சொல்லித்தான் டார்ச்சர் பண்ணுவாங்க..நீ வேற மாதிரி சொல்றியே?"

"உங்க கிட்ட சொல்றதுக்கென்ன.செட்டுக்கு வெளிய நீங்களும் நானும் தான் தோஸ்தாச்சே..படு லோக்கல் brand தம்மடிக்கிரா சார்.'நினைவுகளில் நீ' படத்துல நடிச்ச ஒரு க்ளோஸ்(close) ஷாட்டுக்கே நான் பட்டக் கஷ்டம் எனக்குத்தானேத் தெரியும். Atleast பாக்குப்போட்டுகிட்டாச்சு வரச் சொல்லனம் இனிமே"

"இதுகள எல்லாம் வச்சிக்கிட்டு எப்படித்தான் படமெடுத்து முடிக்கப்போறனோ" என நினைத்துக் கொண்டார் நாராயணன்.

படப்பிடிப்பு ஒருபுறம் நடந்துக்கொண்டிருக்க தயாரிப்பாளர் கண்ணப்பனைப் பார்க்க அப்பாஇன்ட்மென்ட்(appointment) வாங்கிக் காத்திருந்த ராணியை உள்ளே அழைத்தார் தயாரிப்பாளர்.அப்பாவித்தனமானத் தோற்றம் கொண்ட ராணி, சராசரி உயரம், மாநிறம்,மிகவும் ஒல்லி என்றோ அல்லது மிகவும் பருமனான உடற்கட்டு என்றோ சொல்ல முடியாத அளவுச் சரியான உடல்வாகுக் கொண்டிருந்தாள்.சாதாரணமான ஒரு இளஞ்சிவப்பு(pink) நிறச் சுடிதார் அணிந்திருந்தாள், பதினெட்டு வயதே நிரம்பிய ராணி.

"சார்,என் பேரு ராணி. உங்கப் படத்துல நடிக்கச் சான்ஸ் கேட்டு இன்டர்நெட்ல போட்டோ எல்லாம் அனுப்பியிருந்தேன். இந்த நேரத்துக்கு இந்த இடத்துக்கு வரச்சொன்னார் சார் உங்க பீ.ஏ."

கண்ணப்பன் வெள்ளை நிறச் சட்டையும் வேஷ்டியும் அணிந்திருந்தார். பார்ப்பதற்கு ஒரு தூய்மையான பக்திமான் போலக் காட்சியளித்தார்.இத்தனை ஆண்டுகளாகச் சினிமாத்துறையில் 'பலவிதமான' வேலைகளும் பார்த்து விட்டு, இன்று சொந்தமாகப் படம் தயாரிக்குமளவுக்கு 'வளர்ந்திருக்கிறார்'.இது அவருடைய முதல் படம்.

"ஒ நீ தான் அந்த ராணியா.வெரி குட் வெரி குட்.இப்படிப் பாத்ததும் ஹீரோயின் கேரக்டர் உனக்கு செட் ஆகுமா ஆகாதான்னுச் சொல்ல முடியாதேம்மா"

"வேற என்ன சார் செய்யணம்" - அடக்கமாகக் கேட்டாள் ராணி.

"நீ எந்த ஊரும்மா?"

"திருச்சி சார்"

"சரி ஸ்க்ரீன் டெஸ்ட் எடுக்கணம்.இப்போ ஷூட்டிங்க்(shooting) ஓடிட்டிருக்கு. நான் கொஞ்சம் பிஸி.நீ வேணும்னா சாய்ந்திரம் என்ன officeல வந்துப் பாரேன்.அங்கேயே இன்னொரு photo session கூட வச்சிக்கலாம்"

"எத்தன மணிக்கு சார்"

" 'சாய்ந்திரம்' ஒரு எட்டு மணி போல வாயேன்"

தான் ஒரு நடிகையாகப் போகிற சந்தோஷத்தில் விடைபெற்றுச் சென்றால் ராணி.

Hello friends,it has been quite a while since I have updated this space.Well,this time am back with a story.It's again my imagination.Ofcourse,this is also a kind of love story.One more clarification - my intention is not to give a message or any advice through this story..This is a just-like-that story..If this resembles with anyone,its purely co-incidence .Now let me get into this story.

It's Time to Confess...

It was around 2.30 PM.The professor entered the classroom.To his surprise,the entire classroom was empty. Professor got confused.He even thought whether he has come to a wrong classroom?What if it is a wrong classroom?How can it be empty on a Monday?He called the peon and asked the details.The peon himself was drunk and gave the following answer:

"Today is Rahul's birthday.So they have planned to celebrate it in a grand manner.So the entire class bunked the afternoon session"

Professor asked angrily,"really?"

Peaon,"when people are drunk,they will speak only truth"

A hapless professor thought of complaining to principal,but he didn't want to waste his time as well as his students'.

Ok,where are the students now?

After watching Om Shanti Om noon show,everyone assembled in a bar.Rahul started speaking,

"Friends,this is my treat.Don't hesitate,drink as much as you wish.Cheers!!!!!!!!"

The entire crowd shouted,"happy birthday Rahuuuuuuuuuuul",except one voice.That voice belongs to Karthik.

Rahul came to Karthik and said,"dude,I didn't want to miss out any individual..I wanted to make everyone happy..I know you will not drink,but still I wanted you to join the celebrations..That's why forced you here.. Here other than drinks,so many other things are available..Please help yourself....."

Sowmya was sitting next to Karthik.They 2 were alone in that table.

Sowmya : "Karthik,don't you drink really?"

Karthik: "You know me for the past 3 years,have you ever seen me drinking?"

Sowmya: "No,but still just a curiosity" (started laughing).

But Karthik is not amused.He is still calm and composed.With a soft smile on his face,Karthik ordered for some starters.

Sowmya : "You will not drink,but you will only have side dish" (again started laughing).

Karthik thought :"what the fuck is this?this is why I avoid such parties..This dumbo Rahul,being my close friend,I couldn't avoid it..Shit,for the past 2 years his birthdays were on holidays,unfortunately this time its on Monday,I had to come..and I have to hear the words of such senseless creatures..)..

Sowmya continued.

"Karthik,why can't you try a sip?you know what,u can understand the meaning of heaven,when you are drunk"

Karthik : " No,I will never go against my conscience.It says not to drink" said it in a clear voice.

Sowmya : "Conscience?come on yaar,just try it out once..A lot can happen over Vodka :D" (again started laughing).

Karthik(angrily) : "Sowmi,can you stop this nonsense for sometime?Don't waste your time talking with me,go for some more pegs,that will make you happy"

Sowmya(already not in her senses) :"Kaaartheeek,don't get tensed.you know what,I like you very much...you are someone special to me..I lov.." (she fell unconscious before completing the sentence)..Her friends took her to home.

That night Karthik spent a few minutes thinking about Sowmya.

"She looks beautiful.To be honest,in last week's function,when she came in sari,she was looking like a real angel.No doubt she is the most beautiful girl in our department.But I don't want to invite trouble by going behind her,just because she is beautiful.She drinks like anything.Dances in discotheque like a donkey..She calls herself a modern girl...Does modern girl means drinking girl?Fucking western culture spoiled everything..But,she likes me a lot...No no,we should not think about this girl anymore.."

Days went on..Almost 3 yrs gone after college life.Now Karthik is working in a MNC..One fine morning:

Karthik was getting ready to office.His friend Vivek was waiting for him in the room.He was just going through the dailies:

Karthik : "Vivek, just few mins,will start"

Vivek : "Ya no probs..let me continue reading this paper..news items are really interesting"

Karthik :"Oh!!!Tell me the interesting news,let me also know"

Vivek :" Women Police has arrested a girl yesterday,as she was drunk heavily and found lying on road,unconsciously, late night."

Karthik : "Wow Women police rocks!!!..Give that paper here,let me also see more details about it.."

Karthik was shocked to see the paper..He looked like a worried man..The girl mentioned in the paper was Sowmya..He thought of not to discuss more about it..But..

Karthik : "Hey Vivek,shall we go this police station?I know that girl pretty well.."

Vivek : "What r u going to do by meeting her?This is none of (y)our business..Come lets go to office"

Karthik : "I too thought like that only,but something is eating me..Please come,we can go"

Vivek : "Alright"

They entered the police station.He thought it will be a women police station,but it was not.They were asked to wait until the inspector comes.Finally the inspector came.

Karthik showed the paper and asked permission to meet that girl.

Inspector : "You can meet.Are you her brother?or in what way you are related to her?"

Karthik : "Friend"

Inspector : "Her parents themselves refused to bail her out..Had they not filed FIR,by this time I myself would have released her"

Karthik : "Sir for drinking case why did you file FIR?You could have waited for a while right?"

Inspector : "Who said its a drinking case?Read the news properly..It was an attempt to murder..She has assaulted 2 people and one got seriously injured.Now he is in critical condition..Based on the other guy's input we traced this girl"

Karthik became speechless..He realized that Sowya is in a big trouble than what he thought..He met her:

Karthik : "Sowmya,whats this?why your parents has not come to help you?whats wrong with them?"

Sowmya : "Karthik,you might not be knowing about my family..I am living with my step mom and her family only..They will not help me at any cost"

Karthik : "What the hell?"

Sowmya : "Thanks for visiting me..If possible help me in someway..Please get me out of here.."

Karthik realized the seriousness of the issue..He asked the inspector what needs to be done immediately to get her out..Inspector suggested him to meet a lawyer and bail her out..

Vivek : "Machi,I know a lawyer..He is my family friend..Shall we go there?"

Karthik accepted it and they immediately came with the lawyer..Sowmya was bailed out..Karthik firmly believed that something has gone wrong..They thanked the lawyer for bailing her out without asking too many details on what has happened,as he is Vivek's family friend..Then they moved to a relatively peaceful place and after having some snacks,Karthik asked Sowmya:

"Sowmya,what happened?Tell me now"

Sowmya hesitated a bit.

Karthik : "No other go,you have to tell this..The lawyer should know everything perfectly,then only he can help you out..."

Sowmya : "Karthik,am really ashamed of my act..As usual I went for a party with my colleague yesterday and was having drinks..Suddenly I started feeling something unusual and felt that I was becoming unconscious"

Karthik : "Its usual only for you..You will booze heavily and will fall unconscious..So whats unusual here"

Sowmya : "No Karthik,I didn't booze heavily,even before finishing my first round I started feeling like that..So I didn't drink anymore..I thought of leaving the place as I was not feeling well..I asked my colleague and his friend,with whom I went to the party, to help me to get out..They took me away from the party hall,but not to gate..They were taking me somewhere else.."

Karthik was able to guess what might have happened..Sowmya continued..

Sowmya :"They tried misbehaving with me..I begged them to leave me..But they were not listening me..I couldn't run also..When they were crossing their limits,I found a flower vase near me and assaulted one of them with it he fell down..I gathered all my strength and somehow came out..I don't know how long I walked after that,I fell down somewhere..Morning I found myself in jail"

Lawyer interrupted : "When you are unconscious,they should have consulted a doctor right?"

Sowmya : "They did..Based on the complaint given by my colleague,they arrested me it seems..The complaint is that I have assaulted them when I was drunk"

Then the lawyer said he will take care of this case and asked the details about her colleague..Meanwhile Karthik asked Sowmya,"ok shall I drop you in your home?"

Sowmya :"Home?Hereafter they will not allow me into that house..I am scared really..I don't know why the F am alive.."

Karthik was confused and asked Vivek whether he knows any ladies hostel?Again the lawyer interrupted:

"If you don't mind,she can stay with my sister..She stays in a hostel..You can stay there for time being..And can look out for a better place soon"

Karthik thanked the lawyer whole heartedly and got the address of the hostel..The lawyer told that he will talk with his sister and asked Karthik and co to approach her,as he had some other work..Karthik went with Sowmya while Vivek,came in bike..Karthik slowly started talking with Sowmya and asked about her family..

Sowmya's mother died when she was young and her father married another women to take care of Sowmya..But Sowmya begged her father not to marry..Against her wishes her father married..Right from the beginning she was not in good terms with her step mother as her(step mom) character was bad..Whenever she was in home,she felt like being in a hell..Her father thought only paying fees and giving packet money is his duty..He never bothered to ask anything about his daughter's activities..She started coming home at late nights..Unfortunately,she had a very bad friends circle..She started smoking,drinking..After an age she started going to discotheques.. Recently her father too passed away..Within few weeks her step started bringing someother person to her house..Sowmya didn't like it and she raised her voice against it.. She was shocked with the response she got from her step mom.. She learnt that her father has written the house and other properties in the name of her second wife's son and they were waiting for the legal formalities to happen..On hearing this,Sowmya even thought,if he is really her father..They told that until the legal formalities gets over she can stay in the house..Within that this incident has happened and Sowmya didn't want to go to that house again..

After hearing such a long story Karthik developed some sympathy towards her,but still he spoke strictly and little angrily with her...

Karthik : "Sowmya,I agree that your situation was terrible..But that cannot justify your drinking and other bad habits.."

Sowmya nodded her head,she didn't want to argue anything with Karthik..But she had lot of respect towards Karthik..Infact she truly loved Karthik,but realized that she is no match for him,as she had lot of bad habits,while Karthik is a real gentleman.. While thinking like this they reached the hostel..They called the lawyer's sister..Again Karthik was in for a huge huge shock..On seeing the lawyer's sister,he became a bit angry..For a moment he even thought of walking back without even telling a 'hi' to her.Suddenly he realized the situation and went towards her..Sowmya too was surprised to see that girl..Yes she is Sindhu,the same girl who studied with these 2 in college..

Karthik asked Vivek,"unakku oorukkulla vera lawyer eh kedakkalaya da"(don't u know anyother lawyer here..?)

Vivek : "Why?what's wrong with him?"

Karthik : "Nothing..Will explain you later..Come let us thank her and go"

Karthik went towards Sindhu.She said a "hi" to him and with a formal smile Karthik acknowledged it..He thanked her for her kindness to keep Sowmya with her..He didn't talk much with her and left the place..

Then Vivek started talking with Karthik :

Vivek : "Hey who is she?Why did you become so angry on seeing her?"

Karthik : "Was I so angry?"

Vivek: "Then?Those 2 girls were scared on seeing your face"

Karthik : "Stop Kidding!!I know about both of them..Only we have to be careful with them"

Vivek : "I am really not able to understand...Whats wrong with you?"

Then Karthik started explaining Vivek about Sindhu and Sowmya.

During college days,Sindhu was one among the best friends of Karthik.They were so close that without Sindhu,Karthik will not go for lunch,without Karthik Sindhu will not go for movies/outings with college friends,Karthik will come to college only in Sindhu's bike.Sindhu will be driving and Karthik will keep on talking some useless things and Sindhu used to enjoy that useless talk.

One fine day Sindhu introduced her friend to Karthik.While going in bike Karthik started commenting about her friend.

Karthik : "Sindhu,your friend looks simply awesome"

Sindhu : "so what?"(in a firm voice)

Karthik : "No just said..her eyes has some magnetic power..it will be of great help to me if u get her number to me "

Sindhu became serious and said, "Karthik,this is the limit.She is my friend,one more comment about her,will kill you"

Without understanding the seriousness,Karthik continued,"I know how to get that number without your help..I don't need your help for this"

Sindhu stopped the bike and gave a serious look.She was really angry.She spoke strictly and her voice was bit scary too..she said "Karthik,you may be my best friend,but I will never encourage such nonsense..Try to behave yourself..One more time you talk like this,then I will never talk with you again"

Karthik got scared.He was simply making fun of Sindhu and was just teasing.He never expected this from Sindhu..Karthik didn't want to lose Sindhu's friendship for such a stupid reason..So,

Karthik : "Sorry Sindhu,I was just making fun of you.I never thought you will take my words so serious.It's only my mistake and I shouldn't have commented about your friend to you.And..am really sorry.."

Sindhu acknowledged it and gave a smile to Karthik.But the story didn't end there.

The next day morning Sindhu started shouting at Karthik.Some guys were standing with Karthik.Sindhu started shouting,

"Karthik,how many times I told you,not to disturb my friend..are u not ashamed of yourself to do like this?y r u behaving so cheap?"

Karthik : "Sindhu,what are you talking about?What did I do?"

Sindhu : "Don't act too smart..u did as u said..I had a great respect towards yu..but u started flirting with my friend na?how cheap u r?"

Karthik : "Sindhu,this is your limit..I told you I was just making fun of you..Don't u knw about me?why r u behaving like this?If u still think I sent those messages to your friend,file a complaint against me..now get lost"

Sindhu : "Shouting will not help u..I will not leave this.."

After this incident Sindhu left..But later on she learnt from her friend that those messages were not sent by Karthik and it was someone else who was playing with her..Sindhu felt very bad..She started crying..She even thought of going to Karthik's room at that late night..But then she managed herself..She met Karthik the next day..

Sindhu : "Karthik!!Can I talk with you for few minutes?"

Karthik was in no mood to listen to her..He simply walked off..She called him so many times,he simply disconnected the call and even switched off his mobile phone..After some 2 days,Karthik received an SMS from Sindhu,

"hey Karthik..pls don't ignore this msg too..am sorry I have hurt u..but I believe we WERE good friends..my earnest request..can u please spare some time for me today?I know I don't deserve any respect..But if you have atleast some respect for our friendship,please do come today...I will be waiting for u in our usual place.."

Karthik made some calculations in his mind and decided to meet Sindhu..He went to that usual juice shop,where they used to spend hours together..

Sindhu : "Karthik,I..I a..am sorry..I know this sorry will not change things,but I will go mad if I don't say this to you.."

Karthik : "Glad that you realized your mistake..So hereafter you wont go mad right?Thank God,I saved a girl's life"(Karthik started leaving).

Sindhu : "Karthik please sit down..This is public place,don't insult me like this..Please"

Karthik sat back and said,"Wow,now you found out that this is public place..But you didn't know that when you were shouting at me that day.."

Sindhu : "No Karthik,my friend got some real bad messages..When she told this to me,I became very angry and without knowing what to do,I shouted at you..am sorry yaar..pls understand"

Karthik : "Sorry???If your friend gets bad messages,only I will be responsible for it huh?Idiot"

Sindhu : "Hey for this small mistake you are doing too much!!"

Karthik : "Small mistake?Sindhu,when trust fails everything else fails..I don't know whether your friend complained about me or not,even had she told my name,you should have supported me..You should have told that my friend is not such a person,he will not do like that..But you didn't..When there is no trust,there is no meaning in any relationship:

Sindhu : "Hmm..Ya agreed,its my mistake..Please..."

Karthik : "There is no mistake on your part my dear friend..Its my mistake..I shouldn't have given you so much of space in my life.Had I seen you as a girl,I could have easily avoided such problems..I saw you only as a friend and am paying for it..Let the past be past,I don't want to repeat my mistake any more..As a well wisher am telling this to you,don't ever talk with me..If you do so,then its at your own risk..Keep this 25 rupees..My juice share..This is the last time I am talking with you,"Good Bye"

Karthik walked off with these words..After that Sindhu tried to convince Karthik so many times,but Karthik didn't even talk with her..

Vivek : "Then what about Sowmya?"

Karthik explained about Sowmya to Vivek..

Karthik : "Sowmi even proposed me 2 or 3 times when we were in college..But I never acknowledged it..Infact she is in touch with me through facebook and some social networks,but I never felt comfortable with her..I was always of the opinion that such a boozing cultureless girl will be no match to me"

Vivek : "oorukkulla oruthi vudaama thaan sanda izhuthu vachirkiya da?"(you have picked up a fight with everyone it seems)..Hmm,what are you planning to do now?"

Karthik : "Will tell you!!!"

Sowmya's situation kept on disturbing Karthik..He was thinking about her the whole night..Meanwhile Sowmya learnt these incidents from Sindhu..Days went on..Meanwhile the lawyer and Karthik convinced the people who gave complaint against Sowmya and the complaint was withdrawn..

Then Karthik met Sowmya..

Karthik : "Sowmi,I have a good news for you"

Sowmya sarcastically asked "Oh wow!!whats that?"

Karthik : "The compaint against you has been withdrawn and there is no case against you"

Sowmya : "Great!!Thanks a lot Karthik,to be frank I am not so happy about the news which you brought..But I am really glad that you spent your valuable time for me..Will never forget this..Don't what can I do in return for you"

Karthik : "Why are you talking like this?Atleast from now on,you can lead a good life right?"

Sowmya : "Why Karthik?what am I going to achieve by doing so?Infact I am not at all happy to be alive at all..Because of my stupidity I have troubled so many good people..But I would like to do atleast something good in my life..If you co-operate..."

Karthik with a confusion,"In what way should I co-operate?"

Sowmya : "Sindhu is a good girl.."

Karthik : "I never had a second thought in it..Yes of-course she is a good girl,what you want me to do for that?"

Sowmya : "Don't get tensed..I heard everything from Sindhu,you have punished her for quite a long time..Enough"

Karthik : "I never punished anyone,am just taking care so that I need not face any insults in my life.."

Sowmya : "Come on Karthik,it has been almost 4 years since...Try to move on..She is the best pair for you..She is still single,this is the right time to approach her..You people are just made for each other"

Karthik : "I think you talk sensibly when you are drunk!!Cut the crap..I have already told her,when trust fails everything fails.."

Sowmya : "Karthik,she might be too possessive on you.."

Karthik : "Such possessiveness will result in disaster..Whats wrong with you?Shall I say something to you?"

Sowmya : "What?"

Karthik : "Well,you should not mistake me if I say this..But I don't think its a mistake..Shall I go ahead?"

Sowmya : "Whats wrong with you?come on go ahead" (Sowmya suspected something,but she changed her mind,but)

Karthik : "I like you..I like you only..Only you will be the best match for me.."

Sowmya : "Karthik,don't be stupid..My family situation has created some sort of sympathy in your mind..Don't mistake it for love"(though she said this,she was little happy for Karthik's words)

Karthik : "Sowmi,well your situation has created little sympathy towards you,its true..But I know the difference between love and sympathy..You proposed me so many times..But at that time I didn't find anything impressive on you..But you were on my mind..Though you booze and dance in discos,you are a good girl..You genuinely proposed me..Even though you booze,you didn't 'make' any boyfriend/boyfriends as a fashion..I know you still love me..You have a better understanding about me..We have shared a lot of things and you never felt am a boring guy..And now that I have a clear understanding about you..And I believe,this is the right time to express,infact confess my love..I don't think I can get anyone better than you!!"

Sowmya : "What if I tie Raaki to you and say you are my brother"

Karthik : "Without any second thought I will kill you..Don't talk like a lunatic..Do you know one thing?Nowadays most of the girls use the word "Brother,Anna" etc out of insecurity..When they don't believe a guy,then only they will call him "Anna",so that others will not mistake the girl and the guys too will not develop any intention towards the girl"

After a short pause,Karthik continued,

"Sowmi,am waiting for a sensible reply from you.If you don't like me really,tell me frankly,I will not disturb you anymore"

Sowmya couldn't believe these words..She couldn't control her emotions anymore..With tears on her eyes and a broad smile on her face,she just hugged Karthik tightly..She didn't speak anything..But Karthik started speaking again,

"Sowmi,you have faced so many problems in your life because of drinking..If we drink,it spoils us..We lose our control..When we are not in our control,we may do many mistakes and they may result in disastrous effects..So.."

Sowmiya : "Ya I understood..I will behave like a cultured Indian girl,as you say :-)"

Teachers - Architects of a nation

In India, Teachers' Day is celebrated on 5th of September,every year.Dr.Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan's birthday is celebrated as Teachers' Day in India.So as a token of respect to my teachers,I am writing this post as a teachers day special.I wrote an article about teachers in another blog last year.But couldn't publish the same in blogspot for various reasons.And I feel this is the right time to write about teachers.

Well I don't know how many people still remembers their first 'school' teacher.The very reason for putting the word 'school' in quotes is,for any kid the first teacher will be his mother.My first school teacher is Jhansi miss.She was my class teacher in LKG.I still remember the names of all my teachers and also the subjects they handled.Such is the impact created by them.Some teachers inspired me to a great extent and I remember some teachers for some forgettable reasons too.

A teacher or a professor or a lecturer etc has a great role to play.It means,they should possess some qualities. Well any teacher can complete the portions and make his students get good marks.But nowadays that itself is highly impossible.Its really sad to see some teachers pronouncing normal English words too in an ugly manner. Anyway,let me get into the negatives little later.First of all I would like to mention about Mr.Muthaiyyah Mudhaliar here.He is my 'real' guru.He was my Hindi sir.He didn't work in my school.I used to go to his home and learn Hindi.There,I learnt, not only Hindi,but also so many other things.He used to discuss current affairs with me.Even I had a level of comfort in discussing politics with him.I was just 14 years old at that time and he was in his late 70s.Will anyone prefer to talk with such old people?I don't know really.He taught Hindi to so many people without getting any fees.From Tindivanam,he used to travel upto Pondicherry(40kms), to teach Hindi.So committed and dedicated he was towards his job.He was a man of dignity.Physically he is no more today.But still he lives in the minds of so many people.

Well,mathematics is the most difficult subject for many of us.History is the most boring subject.But,I had a great interest in history and I liked maths too.The reason is obviously the respective teachers.The way they taught these subjects differentiated from other maths and history teachers I have come across. Mr.Vijayakumar handled mathematics from 6th standard and Mr.Arun Mozhi handled history in 7th std and for some months in 8th std too.Vijayakumar sir will discuss so many things.He will crack jokes.He will tell short stories everything.But whatever he story or joke he tells,he will relate that very well with the formulas and problems(I mean mathematical problem).There are some maths teachers who will by-heart some problems and write it simply on the board,ask the students to copy the sum and move on.If someone talks in the mean time they will slap/punish/beat the students severely.Buggers,as if they are born to punish.My sir,Vijayakumar sir never did that.He will explain what the problem is and how to solve it clearly.

Similarly,Mr.ArunMozhi,my history sir,had personally a good opinion about me and some of my friends.He was the one who first taught the basics of Indian constitution to me.He handled history,civics and geography. While teaching civics, he will relate it with current affairs.While teaching history he will explain the significance of the event(wars,protests etc).How was he able to relate civics with current affairs? He used to read lot of things.This the major quality a teacher should have.I don't know how many teachers read newspapers daily.Atleast headlines.

Last year or before,I saw a debate in Vijay Tv's Neeya Naana. Generally I will not watch such programs. But the topic was something interesting.Its about teachers.So I watched the debate completely.Gopinath, popular Vijay Tv anchor,asked the teachers,who participated in that show,to tell about the recent editorial article which they came across recently.Sadly none answered.The channel exposed the bitter reality about the teachers.I am not sure if the show was already scripted,but still many such teachers are there in our society.Also I would like to mention another incident in the same show.Mr.Kalyani was a chief guest in that show.He is actually from my native place,Tindivanam.He is a professor(not sure whether still he is in service or not) and he is from Dravidar Kazhagam.He mentioned an incident in that show.While describing that incident itself he was moved to tears.He described an ugly punishment given to him during his school days. People,how much ever days pass on,an insult is an insult.Some wounds cannot be healed at all. I have come across so many teachers who had a venomous tongue.If a boy talks to a girl,using rude words,if a girl wears a relatively modern dress,using obscene words,all these things will only intoxicate the children.That too if adolescent children are treated like this,their life itself might end up in a disaster.To an extent,even I am a victim of such words.I don't want to get in detail about the words or incident and also I don't want to write anything about that stupid lady,who in the name of teacher,did all sort of non-sense.

I would like to mention about one of English teachers here.His name is Mr.Natarajan.He used to give lot of lectures about respecting elders and living a moral life.I would proudly say,to me,he is an inspiration.

Another most disturbing issue is the relationship between a teacher/professor/lecturer and a student.A teacher should be a teacher and a student should be a student.There shouldn't be anything more.To an extent a teacher can move in a friendly manner with the students and can crack jokes.But that should be well within the limits.If a professor talks about a cinema heroine or hero,during the class hours,jovially,that is different.Nothing wrong.But that professor should not smoke or drink with his student,he should not mingle with students and comment at girls.A lady professor or teacher should avoid going in bikes or cars with students.These things will give a bad picture to the students about their so called gurus.Just imagine the scenario,what if a relatively young teacher(or professor),aging around some 25-30 yrs goes in bike with a guy above 15 years?Will that look good?All these things might very well result in ugly problems.Am not against friends going in bike or car(both girls and boys).

Coming to the most important part of the article.The kind of torture given by the professors/lecturers.Utter crap.I have come across so many instances where a professor will be having a different intention on his student(in tamil they are called 'JOLLU PARTIES').Calling that girl separately to staff room,asking questions to her alone separately,leaking the questions to a particular girl before exams etc. are examples of this crap activities.Nowadays these buggers even go to the extent of flirting with the girls by making calls to them.And nowadays social network keeps everyone 'connected'.A professor purposefully gives a friend request to his
student and after adding he comments on her photos as 'hot, cute, beautiful, mindblowing' etc.I have wondered so many times that how can someone stoop down to this level?Well here the mistake is not only on the part of the person who gives friend request,its also on the part of the girl who accepts it.A girl with some mental maturity must be able to understand the crappy intentions of the professor.She should try to avoid him in all possible ways.Sadly some girls expecting some returns from the professors,doesn't care much about all these non-sense.

And professors/teachers marrying their students,running away with students,proposing the students is something which we can come across in most of the dailies almost every day.Even cases of rapes are being reported.I would just call these morons as bastards.

Parents send their children to schools and colleges with the hope that the teachers,professors and the institution will shape up their career well.But some morons are too keen on making the students shapeless. Teachers,Professors,Lecturers - understand that you are positioned even before god.'Matha-pitha-GURU-Deivam'.Even god comes after you only.You need not be gods to your students,but atleast try not being a ghost.

Teachers are the real power of this nation.How?Youngsters are responsible for so many achievements.Even a middle-aged man,old man would have had lot of ambitions or ideas in his young age.With constant hard-work he would have achieved something at a later part of his life.If the teachers guide the children/youngsters in the right direction,the outcome will be great.A good teacher can create 100 IAS officers,1000 Doctors,so many engineers,lot of police officers etc.That's why I gave the title as Architects of a nation.

As it is an article about teachers,I just don't want to restrict myself with singing praises on some teachers.I also wanted to point out some negatives.On a personal note I want to mention the names of so many teachers/professors like Rani miss,Srimathi miss,Indrakumari miss,Jayachandran sir,Sumathi Mam,Nithya mam,Pushpalatha mam,Vanathi mam,Deepa mam,Jeba sir,Senthil sir etc.But I can't end the article.Then I should write a series of posts only.Right now I would like to stop with this.

I have told this dialog to so many people.We may commit lot of mistakes(sometimes willingly,sometimes unknowingly).At times we may also get punished for doing so.We can easily forget the punishment which we received.But when we realize our mistakes,it will pain a lot.That feeling will be even painful than death.Like that so many times I have cursed myself for abusing some good teachers/professors.Even today I feel bad for doing so.On the other hand I have scolded infact abused/insulted many teachers and professors infront of them itself with a proper plan.I feel proud of myself for doing so.Because those buggers deserved it and they deserve even more.

So many good teachers have scolded me.Only on a later part of my life,I understood they didn't scold me,but moulded me.If there is atleast something good in me,its all because of my parents,elders and teachers.

நண்பர்களே!! சமீப காலமாக ஒரு விஷயம், இல்லை இல்லை ஒரு மனிதர் நாட்டில் ஒரு வித பரபரப்பை உருவாக்கி வருகிறார்.தலைப்பைப் பார்த்ததுமே ஊகித்திருப்பீர்கள் யார் அந்த மனிதர் என்று.ஆம் அவர் தான் பாரதம் புகழும் அண்ணா ஹசாரே அவர்கள்.ஏறத்தாழ அனைத்து பத்திரிக்கைகளும் தொலைக்காட்சிகளும் இவரைப்பற்றியச் செய்திகளைத் தான் வெளியிட்டுக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றன.நம் பங்குக்கு நாமும் ஒரு பதிவை அவருக்கென அர்ப்பணிக்க வேண்டுமென்று தோன்றியது.அதன் விளைவே இந்தப் பதிவு. நண்பர்களே,இது முழுக்க முழுக்க என் கற்பனையே.இது யாருடைய நன்மதிப்பையும் சீர்குலைக்கும் நோக்கத்தோடு எழுதப்பட்டப் பதிவல்ல என்பதை தெளிவுப் படுத்திக் கொள்கிறேன்.

It's Love everywhere..

Is this a season of love?I don't know...Nowadays almost everyone whom I meet/chat, talks about love only..What's really funny in it is,not everyone who talks about love,are in a relationship..But still they love talking about love..Some people hate love..Some people hate lovers :D...Some people hate guys/girls who is in a relationship,simply for the reason that they are not into one :P.It's just frustration..Like this, nowadays I am able to feel the love in every discussion with people...So just thought of writing something about love..Yes yet again something about love..This is the only topic which will bore neither the reader nor the writer...So much is there in love..

Love is the best thing to happen for a person..It's an awesome feeling..One will be flying in joy..One will get this feeling in a situation,when he is yet to realize(or accept) that he is in love..Those days will be like a gift of God..He will be moving closely with the girl..He will do everything that is possible to keep her smiling and more importantly, to get her attention..He will be listening lot of love songs..Still he may not realize what he is doing and for what he is doing all these stuff..But his friends will clarify what it is and why is he doing such things..They will start comparing the guy and girl and will keep on teasing them..Then he will understand what's going on around him,but still he will maintain his stand with a reply 'nothing like that',but with a blushing smile..

Days will move on like a minute..People might even go to the extent of thinking that life has given them everything..They will also try to give up all the bad habits they have..Most common thing,guys will give up smoking(on request :P),drinking(again on request),infact guys will even give up all the ugly thoughts,will consider all other girls as his sister,will avoid using bad words,will start going to temples and he will do many such things.. On the other hand,the girl will not tell this to all her friends..She too will be observing everything..In most of the cases,the girl expects a guy to express his opinion first..Of-course in some cases girls propose first..Though the girl knew that the guy is in love with her,she will maintain as if she don't know anything..But her smile will tell everything..A girl's smile has 1000 meanings..The problem starts here..Oh no,I don't mean to say that problems starts with a girl's smile..But sometimes,a girl's smile might end up in disastrous results..So guys have to be careful with girls' smile :P..

The problem starts after this..How long one will keep on thinking how to express his opinion?A day will come..He will become serious..He will think..He will think how to propose here.He will think how to start.He will think 'what the girl will think if we express our opinion?'..He will fear the girl might not talk with him anymore if she is not in love with him..He will fear his own friends will think bad about him if he proposes..Confusion will kill the guy.. The girl too be undergoing a kind of confusion..She will also think does the guy really loves her?'If so why didn't he express his love to me till now?'..She will be very angry on the guy for helping someother girl..She will also be scared to express her opinion..She will think like 'what will he think if I propose him first?will he not think cheap about me?No he won't.Not all the guys are same..But what if he thinks?If he rejects me,how will I face him again?'...Too many questions right?Yes love is a sweet poison for sure..But if you keep on thinking like this, then you will become like 'Idhayam Murali' only :D.Then you have to keep walking with a rose in your hand..Something like this..Atleast this is a movie,so you will have such a beautiful BGM of Ilayaraja sir,but that will not happen in real life :D.

This is the problem with people who are in love..There is nothing wrong in falling in love..It is quite natural that there is an attraction towards the opposite sex..If a person is in love,he/she should express it candidly...But before doing so,its better to move with the girl/guy..Nothing wrong in proposing..If he/she is not ok with the person,simply one can reject the proposal.. But after rejecting one should learn to move on..

The worst form of mental torture one will undergo in love is the difficulty in accepting a proposal..If you don't have such an intention towards the guy/girl who proposes you,you can easily tell a NO and move on..The trouble starts,when you too are in love with the person and your situation forces you to tell a NO..This is something like this..A guy proposed a girl..They both were just too close and finally the guy proposed her..But she didn't accept the proposal..And from then on she started maintaining a distance with him..The guy became more or less like a mad..His friends tried to convince the girl..After a long discussion,the girl gave the reply like this:"Yes I love him.. I want him to be with me forever..I know I can't find a better person to take care of me..But my parents will never accept this..We 2 are from different communities..My Dad is a fanatic..For him my caste is more important than me itself..So this will never happen..I don't want to spoil his life anymore,that's why am moving away from him"

I don't really understand the logic here..When she knew that she is in deep love with him,why can't she make an effort to convince her parents?I always believe this quote.."One can try and fail,but one should not fail to try"..This community,caste,dad all these things should have come to her mind,before falling in love..I would say the guy should be happy if such a girl rejects his proposal..Because all of a sudden she may marry someone else and go..

If you are in love and if the person with whom you are in love,proposes you,don't think too much..Just watch this scene from the movie Ullam Ketkumae.

This is a movie and the climax was already fixed by the director..So Laila didn't get into the flight and she was waiting for Shaam..She knew that Shaam will come back..But this will not happen in real life too..Life is different from cinema..Had she got into flight.Shaam would have been brooding over his stupidity by not accepting her immediately..But again love is not a business deal to finalize things just like that..All I feel about this is,one can take time, in fact,one should take time,but it should not be too long that the guy/girl moves on thinking that you will never understand him/her...What to do some decisions has to be made at some point of time,because this is not a Telangana issue..You can't cheat everyone by delaying the 'verdict'..This is love.

But one should be firm on his/her decision..Once you have made a decision,he/she should stand by it.No amount of compromises should change your minds..One can think a lot before making a decision,but one should not think whether the decision is right or wrong,after making it..One has to make it sure that the decision is based on right analysis,then only it has to be expressed.

There is also another group of people who will say these are 'sour grapes'.They will go behind a guy/girl..They will do all sorts of non-sense to get their attention and to flatter them..But when that doesn't happen,they will change their mind..They will start abusing the girl/guy..One thing that these people fail to understand is,just because someone doesn't accept you,they cannot be termed 'bad'.If you are going to term them bad,then you are even worse..Because until he/she rejected,you too were crazy about him/her..You too did all sorts of non-sense to win over him/her..If someone is not accepting our proposal,we should ask for the reason(its quite natural to ask,why don't you like me)..If the reason happens to be valid or if you are damn sure that the person will never accept you, you should learn to move on..Abusing or troubling the guy or girl,will only project you in a bad light.. Making emotional black miles like you will commit suicide or in the worst case threatening that you will pour acid and all, will make people think that you are an idiot and you need to consult a good psychiatrist..

Also there is another category of people..People belonging to this category are sentimental idiots..I would like to relate 2 scenarios here..One,the girl/guy will never show any interest towards the people belonging to this category ,in that case its quite natural that their proposals will get rejected only..The other scenario is little dangerous..After roaming around for quite sometime and after getting whatever they need(it may be anything like money,someother favors or in worst case,the physical intentions),they will move away..This will hurt anyone for sure..In such case,one should only become angry,not sentimental or emotional...People belonging to this category,will keep on feeling about their 'Ex'.They will be listening to patho songs,they will drink,will smoke,will still be worrying about them..My question is,why should you worry about someone who didn't even have little respect towards you? You should understand the fact that,they don't deserve your love and affection..They are not worth for it..The most insane thing to do is to mourn for some stupid-idiot,who didn't even bother to respect our feelings.. One can't blame people who reject the proposal in scenario-1,its their right and their life,so nothing wrong with it..In scenario-2,they have to be blamed and they have to be punished for cheating..But only fools will emotional and cry for people belonging to either of the scenarios..

There is also another category of people..This is the most popular category in Tamil Nadu atleast..They live with this slogan,"Trisha kedakkalanaa Divya",means,if not Trisha,try for Divya :D.They stand by their slogan and they will keep on missing Trishas and will keep on looking for Divyas :D..

Like this so much is there in love..More research has to be made about love :P..Will surely come up with another post related to love..As I mentioned already,I simply love writing about 'love'..

P.S. : Whatever discussed here is a general trend I have observed among so many people..If the people reading this post feel like their life resembles with any of the scenarios described above its purely coincidental and also feel proud that your life resembles with an article written in this blog :P.And not a single line written here is inspired from any individual's life,except for an incident mentioned in the post.That incident too is quite common and I will never reveal any details about the people related to that incident :P.

Uniform Syllabus Education~Samacheer Kalvi

Student : Sir,if you have some text books to study,please give them.

I got this as a forward SMS today.And this is the condition of Tamil Nadu school students right now.They don't know what to study.Who is the main reason for this?Let us see.

Last year the DMK government in Tamil Nadu introduced this 'Uniform Syllabus Education'(Samacheer Kalvi). Then this year elections were conducted and TN got a new CM,Ms.Jayalalitha.After taking over as CM,she announced that the Samacheer Kalvi scheme will be postponed and it will not be implemented in its current format.The new ADMK govt claims that the USE(Uniform Syllabus Education) has a sub-standard syllabus. Moreover there are complaints that there are some lessons which preaches the ideologies of one political party. It is also said that a book carries a poem written by Mrs.Kanimozhi,.our former CM Mr.Karunanidhi's daughter.

In every Tamil book,there will be 'Thamizhthaai Vaazhthu'.This time,something called 'Semmozhi Vaazhthu' has been included.It was written by none other than our great former CM M Karunanidhi.DMK lost in the recent assembly elections.Had they won,they would have 'Kalaignarized' this state(Tamil Nadu).They even might have added some lessons like Kalaignar is called the father of the nation,only Kalaignar presided over the Dandi march etc.I haven't seen the poem written by Kanimozhi.But just because Karunanidhi was CM and Kanimozhi was his daughter,their poems were included in text books.Now this Kanimozhi is in jail for her alleged role in the 2G spectrum issue,Do we really need lessons and poems by these people?Will this not mislead the next generation children?

The next issue in this scheme, in its present format, is its standard.I read some Tamil text books which is based on this Samacheer Kalvi.But I couldn't read all the books,to make a conclusion about the standard of the syllabus. But what I heard from people is the standard maintained in this syllabus is not good.Generally the matriculation schools will follow a reasonably good standard.When it comes to standard of education,CBSE syllabus is the best.The Tamil Nadu state board syllabus was not as good as these two,but still it was kind of ok.What people generally feel is that, the previous govt,instead of implementing the matriculation or CBSE kind of syllabus to all schools,has implemented the state board kind of normal syllabus to all schools.

This will do no good to this state.First of all there is no need to implement an uniform syllabus to all the schools.The choice of choosing stateboard or matriculation or CBSE or anything else should be left to the individual.All are playing politics with this issue.I saw an interview of VCK leader Mr.Thirumavalavan,in which he said,children of 'Agraharam' (meaning Brahmins) and other communities should get the same kind of education.I don't know from where does this word 'Agraharam' comes in this issue.Does caste really matters here?It doesn't really.I have seen so many 'Agraharam' children studyingi n stateboards and other community children studying in other boards.There is no restriction like only a so and so community kid will be admitted in a school.Still for the sake of votebank and publicity people speak all non-sense here.

Now let us come to the present tense.DMK did a mistake by including poems of Karunandhi,Kanimozhi etc and by degrading the standard - agreed.What the next govt did?It withheld implementing this scheme as such and passed an order that the old syllabus will be followed for the current academic year.Atleast had that order materialized,by this time,75% of portions would have been completed for 10th std students.But some social activist filed a case against this order.I don't know what really the person who filed this case is going to gain by filing a case against this.Then the High Court passed an order to follow the Samacheer Kalvi.It gave an option to edit the 'unwanted' portions.So this itself shows the nature of that Samacheer Kalvi.

If this is a responsible government,what it should have done?It should have accepted the high-court order and it should have given a go-ahead for the USE.Instead of doing that the government approached the Supreme Court and the Supreme Court upheld the High Court's judgement and asked the govt to form an expert committee and to submit its reports on the USE.Again the High Court was not convinced on the findings of the committee and it again ordered to follow the USE.Now again the case is in Supreme Court.For her personal ego,Jayalalithaa shouldn't have played on the life of the students.

I have seen lot of anxious parents.They are really scared about the future of their children.One man said like this with an worried face :

"my son is in his 10th std now.Already its July end..Just 5 more months to go.Then revision tests and practical board examinations will start from the month of January and he will be writing his final exams on March end.But till now nothing is clear.Am really scared about his future.."

This is the feeling of almost all the parents right now.Is Ego really bigger than the future of these children?The court gave the option to edit the lessons.The govt could have very well edited the poems of Karunanidhi and Kanimozhi and it could have implemented the syllabus as such for the current academic year.They can plan perfectly and implement a standard syllabus from the next academic year.None can stop that.I don't know what Madam Jayalalithaa is going to lose by doing this.

Let us assume that the standard of USE in its current format is poor.But now there is no other option.We are running out of time.Teachers should complete the syllabus as soon as possible.So the govt should continue with the USE in its current format for this academic year.Until we get horse,we can make use of donkey - Mr.Vijayakanth,Leader of opposition in Tamil Nadu assembly, said this.He hardly speaks anything nowadays :D,but in this issue I am ready buy his opinion..

As I said earlier,there is no necessity to implement an uniform syllabus to all schools.That will not result in any extra-ordinary performance.But if an uniform syllabus is implemented, it should be done properly and the govt should see that the standard of syllabus is good. But as long as one such syllabus is prepared,the govt should go ahead with the USE or Samacheer Kalvi syllabus for the current academic year.But the Karunanidhi and Kanimozhi portions has to be deleted for sure.

The only reason for putting this scheme on hold is nothing but this was introduced by Karunanidhi.The govt can't claim that they are doing this for the welfare of children by keeping their future in their mind.If the govt had any such thought,it wouldn't have dragged this issue to Supreme Court and high court like this.

A normal person's ego will destroy him alone.But here,ego of a responsible person,honorable CM is giving sleepless nights to thousands of students and parents.God save this state from these Dravidian parties.

Terrorist attacks and lessons to be learnt

On July 13th there were 3 consecutive blasts in Mumbai.The blasts struck Zaveri Bazar,Opera House and Kabutarkhana area of Dadar west.This is not the first time such blasts are occurring.Especially it has become a hobby for terrorists to attack Mumbai.2 days back there was a debate going on in CNN-IBN.Mr.Rajdeep Sardesai was anchoring the show.He was repeatedly asking one question,"what is the solution you are suggesting to these blasts?".Before looking about the solution,we should see the causes and other factors related to such terrorist activities.

Such blasts occur every now and then in India.The politicians escape themselves by pointing their fingers towards Pakistan.The opposition parties will simply give some statements accusing the govt and move on.Nowadays the politicians became very bold,especially those belonging to the congress party.Except the Prime Minister of India,every other congress politician is bold enough to give statements to the media as per their wish.But such statements doesn't show their boldness,it only shows their arrogance and carelessness towards the public.

"No intelligence doesn't mean intelligence failure" - this statement appears stupid right?Yes for a common man like me,it appears only stupid.For intellectuals like our honorable home minister,Mr.P Chidambaram,this statement might be sensible and intelligent one.Yes,only he uttered this statement after the blasts.There is an intelligence department.The prime duty of this department is to gather information like this and it should alert the governments. That didn't happen.Then what should it be called?Who knows,Mr.Chidambaram might also defend this statement too.He is the man who said "No action is also an action sometimes".I thought there is no match for the former Tamil Nadu CM Mr.Karunanidhi in giving statements like this.But here comes a gem of a person called Mr.Chidambaram.Its a real pity that he is home minister of this nation.He also might become the Prime Minister of this nation one day(no this is not a sarcastic remark,it is said that Mr.Chidambaram's name is under consideration with Madam ji for making him PM).If he becomes the PM,then everyone can better migrate to other countries.

He is talking like this on one side."Terrorism is something impossible to stop all the time" - this statement was uttered by Princeling Rahul Gandhi.Every political observer and commentator sees him as the potential PM candidate of the congress party and many believe that soon he will become the Prime Minister of this nation.But see the way he is talking.There is also another 'brainy guy' in the congress party.His name is Digvijay Singh.If at all something good happens somewhere,then you can see Digvijay Singh's statements against it.His recent statement is that "Can't rule out hand of hindu outfits" in the recent Mumbai blasts.Entire nation knows that jihadis are behind this attack.Till now no terrorist outfit claimed responsibility for the blasts.But if going the newspaper reports,Indian Mujahideen and SIMI(Students Islamic Movement of India) must be behind this attack.It is also said that SIMI,a banned outfit in India,has regrouped under the name of Indian Mujahideen.But people like Digvijaya Singh are unnecessarily referring to RSS.This Digvijaya Singh is the same person who said that Saffron terror may be the reason behind the death of former ATS chief Mr.Hemant Karkare.World knows that he was killed by the Pakistan terrorists in the 26/11 attacks.What else can we expect from him?Only such cheap and stupid comments.I really wonder what on the earth makes these politicians to utter statements like this.In the name of minority appeasement,these politicians are only helping terrorists.

The congress party refers to one group as saffron terror.Will this Digvijaya Singh call these jihadis as Islamic terror? Sadly secularism in India is being anti-hindu.Only a bunch of fools and lunatics will support such statements of Digvijaya Singh.A terrorist is a terrorist.He just kills the innocent civilians.He/she may be a buddhist, hindu, muslim, christian or anything else.The reason for killing might be different.But every terrorist kills only innocent civilians.So instead of trying to divert public attention by playing name games like this,the ruling party should think something useful.

The most hilarious statement was given by the honorable Prime Minister of India,Dr.Manmohan Singh.He said the terrorists have the advantage of surprise and this time there was no advance indication.What does this statement mean?Will the terrorist call PMO(Prime Minister Office) or Home minister before planting the bombs and will he tell them in which places he placed the bombs?For that only we have police,NIA,RAW and some other intelligence wings.How will they get information?This is a nation where frisking actor Sharukh Khan in US airport, was made a huge issue.Honorable minister of Information and Broadcasting,Smt.Ambika Soni,expressed her anger and dissatisfaction over the incident.She even went further and said that we should also frisk them here.Which means,not everyone are being frisked in India. When this is the case how will the intelligence department will get the much needed information?What if Shahrukh Khan was frisked?Is he something special?What is the guarantee that he is not a terrorist?He is a marketing freak and he just made use of the frisking incident to promote his movie "My Name is Khan"-I am not a terrorist..

This is how our security system works.What I really hate with this government is that they are bringing in the name of religion while referring to terrorism.Why should they file a mercy petition for Afzal Guru,who was sentenced to death in the Parliament attack case?Why are they giving a fair trial to the lone surviving terrorist involved in the 26/11 attacks? When there were a series of blasts during the previous govt(UPA-1),Manmohan Singh said one single community should not be targeted.I don't really get the point here.The government's attitude to accuse hindu groups unnecessarily,has to be vehemently condemned.

Some terrorist plants the bombs.So many people die in the blast including Muslims.So no sensible person will support jihad.By saving these jihadis,does the govt really gets the minority votes?I don't think so.If someone is supporting this jihad,SIMI,Indian Mujahideen groups,then they also has to be considered as terrorists.Reason for the survival of UPA govt has to debated separately.

Chidambaram claims that we haven't had a single blast in 31 months.Does that in anyway mean that we should forgive this blast?There has been lot of Maoist attacks.So many Naxal attacks has been reported.Still I couldn't forget the Naxal attack that brutally killed around 76 CRPF men in Dantewade last year.

What can be done to reduce terror/naxal attacks?There should be thorough checking in all important places daily.Airports,railway stations,bus stands,cinema theaters,religious places,govt offices,private companies etc.If this checking is done properly,lot of terrorists can be captured.The terrorists should be severely punished.Human rights doesn't apply to terrorists.They are not humans at all,then how does human rights apply to them?The terrorists should be mercilessly hanged to death.There should be zero tolerance towards terrorism of any form.One can very well raise this point,killing some terrorists will not make a difference.The terrorists never fear for death - agreed.But if these terrorists are not killed,what will happen?Others related to him will take innocent civilians as hostage and will demand their release.Moreover only if terrorists are killed,people will not dare to support them.Atleast there will be little fear that terrorists will be severely punished.The intelligence agencies should be allowed to function independently.There should not be any political interference.The agencies should work properly and should gather information about such terror strikes.If the intelligence department is allowed to function individually,they will gather the much needed information. The govt should act on the reports given by these agencies.A strict law like POTO,POTA should be framed again.

If this is done 'properly',terrorism can be controlled.But with such a home minister and Prime minister,with such a president(Soni Gandhi) of a ruling party,how can we expect some real measures against terrorists/terrorism?I am damn sure this govt will not even show atleast 1% of interest in controlling terrorism.That is the lesson which I learnt in the past few years.

BJP - Party with a 'difference'

BJP is a Party with a 'difference' - I am not saying this,the party itself says so.But one really doesn't know in what way its different from other parties.Its recent activities shows that the party is becoming nothing more than a bunch of jokers.

They lost 2 elections consecutively after giving a good government from 98-2004.But still they are not able to identify their mistakes.They criticize the congress party that there is no democracy and only one family dominates the party.Of-course its true.But on the other hand,there is too much of democracy found in BJP.Everyone wants to become Prime Minister.Everyone wants to dominate.There is no discipline in the party.The party has no new ideas to gain the confidence of the people.So it is doing everything that is possible to gain attention.

Last year this party stalled the parliament demanding a JPC(Joint Parliamentary Committe) probe on the alleged irregularities in 2G spectrum allocation.Of-course the other opposition parties too boycotted the sessions,but still BJP is the principal opposition party in the parliament,so have to give the credit to them for stalling the parliament.They stalled the proceedings,the media coverage as usual at its best,as a result of this, the then Telecom minister,A Raja was forced to resign.But what the BJP should have done?It should have sacked the Karnataka CM Mr.B S Yeddyurappa.Of-course the magnitude of corruption allegations against Yeddyurappa is nothing compared to the Adarsh+CWG+2G scams.But just because the magnitude of corruption is less,one cannot be pardoned.

There was a big 'Tamasha' in recent times in the name of 'fasting against corruption'.Initially social activist Anna Hazare went on fast,demanding a strict Lokpal bill.The govt agreed to set up a committee to set up this bill and he ended his fast.The BJP wanted to gain political mileage through this.So they started raising their voices in favor of Mr.Hazare.If Mr.Hazare thinks,just bringing a Lokpal will eradicate/reduce corruption,then he is so naive.In India,already so many laws are there.The problem is not with law,it is with lawmakers.On one hand he is going on fast against corruption.The media gave the best possible coverage to him.On the other hand he writes letters to Sonia Gandhi complaining against congress ministers like DigVijaya Singh and Kapil Sibal.Sonia Gandhi replies him that they both(that is,Sonia Gandhi and Anna Hazare) are on the same page in eradicating corruption.Anna Hazare feels happy about this.

Reputed economist and writer,S Gurumurthy alleges that Sonia Gandhi has lot of money in Swiss bank.He is showing a news item in Switzerland magazine as a proof for this.He also relates so many other proofs for this claim.He has challenged Sonia Gandhi to file a case against him,if she feels the allegations made by him,are false.Sonia Gandhi carefully avoided this and till now she has not responded for this.Not only Gurumurthy,also the Janata Party leader,Subramanian Swamy makes this allegations,again no reply from Madam ji.If such a lady compares herself with a so-called anti-corruption-crusader,its something to feel ashamed of.But Anna feels happy about it.This only shows his innocence.The BJP wanted to gain public attention by supporting this Anna Hazare.

The 'Tamasha' didn't end here.Popular Yoga guru,Baba Ramdev,took part in the fast led by Anna in Jantar Mantar.On seeing the amount of media attention and the publicity,that the movement received,Baba Ramdev decided to go on another fast.Baba Ramdev has more no. of followers,so he just wanted to gain more publicity.So he went on a fast against bringing back the black money stashed in Swiss bank.The thing is he went on a fast-unto-death.What the govt should have done?At the first place they shouldn't have given him the permission to go on fast itself.Instead finance minister Pranab Mukherjee and Human Resources minster Kapil Sibal,went to airport to meet Baba Ramdev and convince him to give up the idea of fasting.When someone talks against corruption,this government is scared.Instead of sending the ministers,they should have sent the police to airport and should have arrested Ramdev.But this govt is known for its foolish moves.One such move is the police assaulted the civilians who took part in the fast and were sleeping in the Ramlila maidan.They arrested Baba Ramdev arrogantly.These things looked really ugly.

But the BJP's comedies started after this incident.The BJP went to the extent of calling this an undeclared emergency and they went on fast condemning this act.Sad part is,a statesman like Mr.Advani too supported this fast.There are serious corruption charges against its Karnataka ministers(Reddy brothers,Yeddyurappa etc) and some ministers in Chattisgarh.No action was taken against these people.But the BJP will join every social activist who fights corruption.Funny people they are.The leader of opposition in Lok Sabha,Madam Sushma Swaraj ji,went one step further and showed her patriotism like this.Watch the below video:

This dance show took place in Gandhi memorial in Rajghat during the BJP's protest against the arrest of Ramdev.Sushma Swaraj can try acting in movies.Her dancing skills may even fetch a national award to her. Anyway her dance was awful.She needs more training from some good dancers.But she has that talent in her. If she learns dance from some proper mentor and if she acts in movies,she may provide a relief to fans from likes of Sheela Ki Jawaani(Katrina Kaif) or Munni Badnam Hui(Malaika).Because she will dance only to patriotic songs.Movies has a wider reach,so she can spread patriotism among the public by dancing in movies for patriotic songs,instead of doing the same in Gandhi memorial.

Being a leader of opposition in Loksabha,she should have some sort of decency atleast.Its a responsible post. This lady gave assurance to TN fishermen that she herself will raise the issue in parliament on behalf of the Tamils.She also said that it is a national issue.But till now I believe she has not raised this issue in Loksabha. I think she was all busy in practicing that great dance.Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley has lot of difference of opinion,that they two will not be seen together in most of the occasions.If its a meeting organized by Sushma Swaraj,Mr.Jaitley will not be present and vice-versa.This is the kind of democracy their party has.

This gives an impression that the BJP is not a party with a difference,but only differences are within the party.That is difference of opinion among the party members. If the party thinks,this is a 'difference' compared to other parties,we can't help it out. Its their right.But not everyone will think like this.

And I came across a news recently that the BJP chief Mr.Nitin Gadkari said that the party is committed to build a grand Ram temple in UP.Who Mr.Gadkari is cheating?The issue is in Supreme court.How can he build a Ram temple in the disputed land before the court delivers its judgment?If he thinks he can win hindu votes by making such statements,then he will end up with egg on his face.This proves a news leaked by wiki-leaks cable.The leaked news said that,Arun Jaitley,leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha, once said this to an US official that his party uses the hindutva policy only for electoral gains.Mr.Jaitley denied this.But anyway the BJP's activities clearly proves that they are using the hindutva thing only for votebank politics.They have to understand the fact that their hindutva principle will not fetch them any votes.Only projecting some non-corrupt and capable leader as Prime Minister candidate can win the confidence of people. How Mr.Gadkari is able to make such statements?I really can't understand.The BJP was in power for 6 years. They couldn't build a temple in those 6 years.How can they build it now?Instead of playing politics over Ram temple,the BJP should concentrate on development oriented politics.

Instead of foolishly trying to gain attention by supporting people like Ramdev,Anna Hazare,the BJP should act against its own tainted members.It should sack the corrupt ministers.One can very well raise the question that how can a minister be sacked for mere allegations.Just because the opposition says something one need not be sacked,but when the allegations are worth enough to create a strong suspicion that the particular minister has a role in the scam and when the allegations are supported by some facts,the minister/MLA/MP or whomsoever it be,has to resign or has to be sacked.Best example is recent resignation of Mr.Dayanidhi Maran.The CBI's allegations were supported by facts and inorder to pave way for a honest inquiry, Mr.Maran was forced to resing.Am reserving my comments on how honest the inquiry is going to be.Will write a detailed post about it later.

The principal opposition party has a major role in democracy.This is the thought a common man will have.If this govt is not satisfactory,he will choose the alternative.For that the alternative should atleast appear somewhat better than the ruling party.Or the opposition party should at-least appear not worser than the ruling party.In central level things are different.People are fed up with the congress party and the UPA govt. If you talk different kinds of people daily,you can observe this.The thing is,they are fed up with the govt and are frustrated,but they are in no mood to support BJP.Only those who are hard-core BJP followers and BJP partymen thinks BJP as an alternative.For a common man,BJP is not a better alternative.

If the situation continues like this for some more time,then revolution will happen in India too.Revolution happens only when there is nothing to lose and when there is no other option left out.The BJP has some good leaders and good administrators.They should change their approach and should act responsibly.If they are not going to realize their responsibilities and if they keep on making such self-mockeries,soon the BJP will become history.

P.S. : I have avoided the communal remarks against the BJP.That is a topic which has to be dealt in detail.Will write about it later.And I will come up with more posts about BJP again.

Its a song about sister.A loving elder brother sings for his younger sister.Meaning goes something like "My sister is a golden moon in a golden chariot".It was Kannadasan who penned lyrics for this song.This song comes in the movie "Dharmayudham".It is one of the best sister sentiment songs in Tamil Cinema.In India brother-sister sentiment has immense value.In Tamil Nadu,if we don't know someone,we will call them annaa-akkaa only.In North India it is "bhayya"..Like this the word varies from place to place..But the meaning remains the same. After all in our pledge,we say,all Indians are my brothers and sisters. So here we consider everyone as our own siblings[now don't come and ask me,then whom to marry :D,that is a different discussion :P].The point I wanted to mention here is whenever one listens to this song,he may think about his sister.Such a nice meaningful song it is.

The song was sung by late Mr.Malaysia Vasudevan.He is a very good singer and he was a successful playback singer to superstar Rajnikanth.His voice suited Rajni pretty well.Songs like "Podhuvaaga en manasu thangam","ennoda raasi nalla raasi" were huge hits among the masses.Still his "Vaa vaa vasanthame" from Pudhu Kavithai and "Vaa vaa kanna" from Velaikaaran remains my personal favorite.The lines "En vaanile oru deva minnal vandhadhu,en nenjinai adhu killi vittu chendradhu" from that Puthu Kavithai song are still running in my mind.

Hope you would have guessed whose entry it is going to be.Its none other than "Isaikuyil" Chitra madam.God has gifted this sweet lady with such a sweet voice.Can't stop listening to her songs.Just listen to the above song.Maestro Ilayaraja's music,K J Yesudas singing the male part of the song,Vairamuthu's enjoyable lyrics.. Still Chitra madam scores in this song.She has so many songs for her credit.Ovvoru Pookalume is another good example of Chitra madam's song.It is one of the most inspirational songs.You will get a romantic feeling when you listen to "Yaaro Yaarukkul Ingu Yaaro" from the movie Chennai-28.Just listen to this song. It is "Vizhiyile en Vizhiyile" from the movie Vellithirai.For some reason this song was not included in the movie. Lyrics were penned by Pazhani Bharathi. Just listen the way she sings this song.Especially the lines, "Naan saambalaanalum en kaadhal vaazhume" and "en indha saabangal naan paavam illaya,vidhi kannamoochi vilayaada naan kaadhal bommaya".It was like expressing her deep sorrow for her guy.For her voice modulation itself,I used to hear this song like a mad fellow,during the time it released.Daily atleast 20 times,I used to listen to this song.May sound crazy,but doesn't matter...

Actually there are so many songs of Chitra madam has to be shared,but am winding up with this..Am planning to write an exclusive post about Chitra ji soon.At times I used to think God is so mean.He has given such a great voice to this lady.Simply awesome singer.Hope many could have come across this news.Her daughter died recently.It was the most unfortunate thing to happen to anyone.Why such horrible incidents happens to good people like Chitra?Whenever I think about such incidents,I want to scream loud "enna maadhiri kadavul idhu" like how Madhavan does in Anbe Sivam.Anyway let us hope God gives her enough strength to overcome this deep sorrow and let us hope she starts singing more no. of songs again.

Well the discussion started off with music and its going somewhere else.Already in my first part of this series I have mentioned about Yesudas sir and about S P B in my 3rd part.There so many songs sung by these people, which can be discussed.I would like to mention the song "Agaram ippo sigaramaachu" here.Whats so special about that song?Music director of this movie is S P Balasubramaniam sir himself and the singer of this song is K J Yesudas sir.Many thinks that Ilayaraja composed music for this song.But it is SPB.Soulful composition.Don't wait,just watch the song here.

I would like to write about another singer here,whom,not many(in our generation) will be knowing I guess. Yes she is singer Jency.She is the playback singer for the above mentioned song,from the movie Johnny.Many thinks that these songs were sung by Janaki madam.There is another song in the movie,En vaanile ore vennilaa, was also sung by her only.Most of her songs in Ilayaraja sir's music were super hits.Like Kaathal Oviyam from Alaikal Oivathillai,Meenkodi theril from the movie Karumbu vil,Ennuyir Neethane from the movie Priya etc. Meenkodi theril is a different song.I would suggest everyone to listen to that song. Click here Aayiram Malarkale from the movie Niram Maaraatha Pookkal.She is an awesome singer,who should have got a long career is what I feel.

Well I would love to discuss Yesudas sir's classical songs,SPB's mass intro songs to MGR,Rajni etc and the duet songs of all the above mentioned people for some months continuously.So much is there.Anyway have to proceed to the next 'era' in music.

Before that,I also would like to write about another person.If I write his name here,people might laugh.But honestly speaking,he is a good music director.Leave alone his funny actions in the movie.Listen to the song Vaigaikarai kaatre nillu from the movie Uyirullavari Usha.Its a great composition.Well you might have guessed who that music director is.Yes he is T Rajendar @ TR.Had TR concentrated only on music,he would have had a great career as a music director is what I believe.Also don't miss this song,a simple and soothing melody from the movie Oru Thalai Raagam.

His Naanoru Raasiyilla Raja,Noolum Illai Vaalumillai,Vaasamilla malaridhu from Oru Thalai Raagam and Vasantham Paadi Vara from Rayil Payanangalil are real classics.Don't forget to watch this Vaasamilla Malaridhu Song here:Honestly speaking TR is a very talented person.And he deserves lot of respect for his heart melting compositions atleast.Regarding his acting - no comments.

Rise of A R Rahman is something special I would say.Because when Ilayaraja sir was at his peak,no music director could survive in the industry.Now don't think that Raja sir spoiled their chances.None could beat Raja sir is the fact.But it was in 1992,one man turned the attention of the entire state,infact the entire country towards him.Yes it is A R Rahman with his music for the movie Roja.It is said that Manirathnam listened to 140 tunes composed by ARR and selected the songs,which he felt 'the best' to the movie.I don't know how far this is true,but if true,its amazing stuff from Rahman.With his trendsetting music,he announced his arrival in style and his entry marked a new era of music in Tamil Cinema[One can't compare Ilayaraja's entry in 1976 and Rahman's entry in 1992,both are different and both has their own significance].He is the first music director to survive in the industry when Ilayaraja was in top.Note the words carefully,I am saying "survived" and not "outshined",because Ilayaraja sir is still actively composing movies and many directors still prefer him. Nandalala,a movie released last year,was highly spoken about for its background music.Music director of the movie is Ilayaraja and songs too were good.

Am not going into the comparison between Ilayaraja and ARR.Both are different and can't be compared. Rahman worked with some great directors like K Balachander,Bharathiraja,Maniratnam etc.Songs in the movie "Duet" can be considered an ever-green classic.Songs in the movie Sangamam will remain in my memories forever.Especially the "Sowkiyama Kanne" song is an awesome song.

He has reached great heights now.He got one of the so called world's precious award Oscar.He won Golden globe too.But I would have been happy had he won those awards for an Indian movie.Instead these awards were given for a movie about India,a movie which portrayed India in a bad light.Anyway that is a different topic.Now am not getting into it.But I have a different kind of disappointment with Rahman.He has reduced doing music for Tamil movies.Even if he does,I feel like something is missing in it.His recent releases like Enthiran,Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya,were good though.I would be happy to see Rahman scoring music for more no. of movies in Tamil too.I want him to do songs like this :

Also like Kathalar Dhinam ,Alaipaayuthe , Jeans , Love Birds etc.. Whenever I listen to the Roja Roja song and Sowkiyama Kanne song, some flashbacks runs in my mind.Memories travel some 10-11 years back. Simply love those days and songs too.This is the unique specialty about songs.When we listen to certain songs,some incidents will flash in our mind. When I was in my 7th standard,we(me and other 2 friends) used to tease one girl by singing the song "Kaasu mele kaasu vandhu" from the movie Kadhala Kadhala..We will sing these lines "Ramalingam kaila kaasu" repeatedly,as her father's name is Ramalingam.Missing those days badly.I just dont want to get into it too deep,because again I will start cursing God :-(.

Anyway coming back to Rahman,in his recent releases,the song that made me mad means, "Mannippaya" from the movie Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya.Shreya Ghoshal's voice is one of the main reasons for the success of that song.Awesome song it is.I would love to hear the lines "Oru naal sirithen maru naal veruthen unai naan kollaamal kondru pudhaithene mannippaayaa" repeatedly.At times I have cursed Rahman for bringing people like Udit Narayanan to sing Tamil Songs(he may be a good singer,but he simply kills Tamil),but, for giving more songs to singers like Shreya Ghoshal,I have to praise him only.Her Tamil pronunciation is also pretty good.Moreover her voice is awesome awesome simply beautiful.

And there is also another genre of music,without which the music itself is incomplete.Folk songs. When people are in joyful mood,they love to dance.To dance,you need some fast beat songs.Deva provided such songs to us.Of-course every other music director has composed fast beat,gana songs.But I would call Deva as the trendsetter in Gana songs.His Vidha vidhama soupu seepu kannadi,kothalsavadi lady,vaanga da 420B da,Salomiya,Sirippu varudhu sirippu varudhu sithappa,Kavalaipadaadhe sagodhara etc are my favorite Gana songs.He is also a good singer.His voice suits for such fast beat songs and some philosophical songs too.His recent song Modhi Vilayadu in the movie Modhi Vilayadu(Music by Colonial Cousins) is one of the best examples for this.Deva also composed some excellent melodies like "Konja Naal Poru Thalaivaa","Mudhal mudhalil Paarthen" etc..Undoubtedly Deva is an excellent music director,who deserves lot of respect and deserves to be mentioned whenever someone speaks about music.

Above I was typing Konja Naal Poru Thalaiva and Mudhal Mudhalil Paarthen.The music director may be Deva,but the singer for this song is Hariharan.There was a period when I had lot of craze towards his songs.

Those days there was no broadband internet,online downloads,infact CD players were also a matter of luxury those days.I used to select songs from all the movies and will write it down in a paper and will give to an audio shop called "Arun Prakash Audio Videos",when I was in Tindivanam.Cost of an empty cassette is Rs.20 and Rs.25 for recording. So total Rs.45 and I will get 12 songs(6 songs per side).Still I have those cassettes,but I don't have the tape recorder now.What a period it was!!!Would love to go back to those days!!!!

Mostly I will be listening to songs like Ennai thaalatta varuvaala,Enakkoru Snegithi,Konja Naal Poru Thalaiva,Sollamal Thottu Sellum Thendral,Semmeena,Naalai Kaalai neril varuvaala,Nee kaatru naan maram,Nilavu Paattu etc. All are Ajith-Vijay songs right?Yes his voice suits these actors pretty well. His songs to these actors will remain in my memory for a long time.

Recently Vidyasagar,Harris Jeyaraj,Yuvan Shankar Raja,G V Prakash are giving hit songs.Of-course Vidyasagar is in the field for quite a long time.And his Run is my favorite album and I also like his Gilli,Chandramukhi,Dhool,Anbe Sivam songs. Whenever I think of Harris,Ullam Ketkume and Unnalae Unnalae comes to my mind immediately.His melody songs has some magic for sure,so many times I have felt that he is repeating same tunes,but still I couldn't resist myself from listening to those songs.Yuvan means I remember Katradhu Thamizh,7G,Kadhal Konden etc.Yuvan has been a main reason for the success of so many movies.His songs have given the much needed opening to so many movies.Also the recent entry Sundar C Babu is also doing good.

When it comes for modern day lyricists,I feel Na.Muthukumar and Thamarai are the best.Kabilan,Pazhanibharathi,Viveka writes good songs,still Muthukumar and Thamarai are class apart.

But still we have to wait for some more years to see how long the modern songs lasts for.

That's it.I am completing my musical journey with this post.I believe it was a happy journey.To share some videos and audio links here,I searched for some songs in google and fortunately I got those songs,which I couldn't get before.Also I forgot to mention about so many songs like Kelviyin Nayagane from Aboorva Raagangal, Oru Naal Iravu from the movie Kaaviyathalaivi etc.Also I couldn't write in detail about so many personalities like singer Harini,Karthik,Naresh Iyyer etc.But still,I feel the journey was quite cool and I believe the readers too feel the same.Feel free to give your honest comments here.

This is a song which comes in the movie Aasai Mugam,an MGR starrer.Lyrics were penned by Vaali.Vaali has just taken a dig on mankind,in this song.The meaning of the song goes like this.Only people without any feelings and heart will make fun of others problems.Its quite usual for them.Man(also woman),who is God's superior creation,has lot of cheap thoughts and his heart is just too small whereas a small bird is sensible.There will be a stanza in this song explaining the good qualities of some birds.This is the lyrics :

கோழியை பாரு காலையில் விழிக்கும்
குருவியை பாரு சோம்பலை பழிக்கும்
காக்கையை பாரு கூடி பிழைக்கும்
நம்மையும் பாரு நாடே சிரிக்கும்

Whenever I am angry on someone and not in a position to do anything against them due to situations and circumstances(sometimes the anger will be towards politicians),I will listen to this song only.It gives a sense of satisfaction to me.

அவன் கருணையுள்ள நெஞ்சினிலே

கோவில் கொள்கிறான்

These meaningful lines are from the song "Idho Endhan Deivam" from the movie "Babu".The lyrics were penned by,again Mr.Vaali.This is the best possible simple explanation about God.Meaning of these lines - God lives in our affection and love and the heart in which there is love and sympathy,becomes temple.

Well there is some magical touch in this man's words.Again its all pure gift of God.After a great struggle, he got a chance to write songs in Tamil Cinema in late 1950s and he is still the most preferred lyricist in Tamil Cinema.The most recent Harris Jeyaraj,Yuvan Shankar Raja and G V Prakash also prefers Vaali. Not only movies,he has written so many other poems.Once veteran director K Balachander called Vaali and told a situation and asked him to tell a poem for the situation through phone itself.This was the situation,a mother is writing a letter to her baby which she is carrying.Vaali started off with the following lines and told a complete poem through phone itself.K Balachander,a man who has directed 100 movies,himself told this in an interview.These were the lines :

தாய்ப்பால் வருவதற்கு முன்

தபால் வருகிறதே என்று

திகைக்கிறாயா?

There is another incident which I would like to share here.While looking for an opportunity to write songs in Tamil Cinema,Vaali wrote a song and was waiting for the opinion of a music director M P Srinivasan.After a deep thought,M P Srinivasan sir replied to Vaali that the song didn't impress him.Vaali didn't give up the hope.Infact once the great MSV sir himself,on seeing some of the poems of Vaali sir, told to Vaali's friend that, Vaali can better do someother useful job, instead of trying for a chance in cinema.Vaali didn't lose his hope.He was confident about himself.He always had the hope that he can make it big in cinema one day or other day.Later on,same MSV sir,during a composing, asked Vaali that where he was all these days, that Tamil Cinema has been badly missing this great poet.Vaali wrote the same song,which was earlier rejected by M P Srinivasan,to another movie.The song became a super hit and now it is regarded as an evergreen classic. Later on even MPS regretted missing this great song.The song is :

கொடுத்ததெல்லாம் கொடுத்தான்

அவன் யாருக்காக கொடுத்தான்

ஒருத்தருக்கா கொடுத்தான் இல்லை

ஊருக்காக கொடுத்தான்

This is how the songs were in black and white period.Lyrics had equal importance as that of tune.And the Tamil Cinema fans were able to get a Kannadasan,Pattukottai Kalyanasundaram,Vaali,Pulamaipithan etc.

In the meantime,Hindi songs started dominating in Tamil Nadu.The Hindi songs had a great response and people started giving more importance to Hindi songs.The Tamil songs were also influenced by Hindi tunes.The scenario changed in 1976.The entry of one man, gave a new lease of life to music in Tamil Cinema. His songs had a great impact that once again Tamil songs started becoming chart-busters.This man didn't enter cinema just like that.He struggled a lot to get an opportunity.Once veteran director Bharathiraja said,he along with this music director, struggled a lot that they didn't even have enough money to buy food for them.He worked in some orchestra troops.He is a master in playing guitar.He is a complete music director who gave a new dimension to music in Tamil Cinema - he is none other than the musical genius,legend - 'Isaignani' Ilayraja sir.

He is a creator of close to 4500 songs and he has scored music for around 950 movies.His musical hits speaks volumes about him.I can very easily quote the songs from the movies like Uyarntha Ullam,Padikkathavan,Thamibikku Endha ooru,Oru Kaidhiyin Diary etc.These movies had Superstar Rajnikanth and Ulaganayagan Kamalhassan in the lead roles.But there are lot of movies in which Ilayaraja's music alone can be considered as a real hero.There was a hero in Tamil Cinema,who gave consecutive blockbuster movies.Though he had some fans,he was not a kind of hero whose movies will do business only because of fans.It was Ilayaraja sir's music which was one of the main reasons for the success of his movies. The hero is none other than 'mike' Mohan :D.His movies like Idhayakoil,Udhayageetham,Payanangal mudivadhillai(Ilayanila is enough to show what kind of genius Ilayaraja sir is) etc and all had songs of exceptional quality.

There was also another hero who gave some huge hits.There are many comedy scenes from various movies which made fun of his dressing sense and also some fans will mock him for the kind of 'shining' dresses he wore.His name is Ramarajan.The movie 'Karagattakaran' in which he was the hero,was a huge huge hit.It ran successfully for 1 year.Ilayaraja's music is one of the main reasons for such a resounding success.Of-course the comedy track in the movie is an evergreen one,thanks to Koundamani-Senthil(who can forget the 'Vaazhapazham' comedy :D).The reason for mentioning these details is not to ridicule the heroes,but to stress the fact that Ilayaraja sir's music was able to create heroes.

Not only in cinema,he also has a great command in 'Shastriya Sangeet'.Kanchi Mahaperiyava Jagadguru Chandrashekarendra Saraswati Swamigal himself praised Ilayaraja sir.He asked Ilayaraja sir to sing saying that he wanted to listen to his songs.This swami is considered to be an incarnation of God(don't confuse yourself with some fake babas who claim themselves to be Gods,this Swamigal never claimed himself to be God and all).Such a great Kacnhi Mahaperiyava himself praised Ilayaraja sir means,that says what kind of gift Ilayaraja is for us.Even one of the greatest music directors had a lot of affection and respect for Ilayaraja and his music[Ilayaraja has praised R D Burman sir in so many interviews].One of the greatest personalities in Carnatic musical world,Shemmangudi Srinivasa Iyyer,also has praised him.Imagine what these people are going to gain by praising this music director?Its a comment from their heart - I respect it :-).

I can keep on mentioning names of so many great personalities who praised Ilayaraja like anything.But then, that itself will take quite a long time.

The combination of Ilayaraja-Bharathiraja-Vairamuthu was a terrific one.A musical genius with one of the greatest directors and an intelligent lyricist(Vairamuthu).Alaigal Oivadhillai is an excellent movie.Directed by Bharathiraja sir.It was a bold movie and it had a path-breaking climax.But music is the heart and soul of this movie.The aaiyiram thaamarai mottukkale song bgm is still fresh in my mind[in the minds of many].

The movie Mudhal Mariyadhai is the best.I was watching this movie last month.Couldn't even move here and there,its such a fantastic creation.Bharathiraja's brilliant portrayal of the characters,Vairamuthu sir's meaningful lines and Ilayaraja's magical music and Sivaji Ganesan - one of the greatest actors in India[in my opinion he is the greatest] playing the lead role(hero) - everything put together made the movie an evergreen classic.

How meaningful these lines are!!!Vairamuthu is an excellent lyricist.Such a meaningful lyrics with the soulful composition of Ilayaraja will definitely leave an impression in the mind of the listener.After listening to these songs,Sivaji sir himself praised Ilayaraja and said one can't score music better than this.

His Raakkamma Kayyathattu song, from the movie Thalapathy, ranked 4th in BBC radio's top ten songs of the world.Just listen the way violins has been used in this song.He is rightly called 'Isaignani'.Ilayaraja has found (I don't whether the word 'invented' or 'discovered' should be used here,because I don't know much about music) some new Ragas - heard this from veteran Carnatic singer BalaMuraliKrishna. Ilayaraja was the first person to introduce Reethigowla raaga in cinema.The song 'Chinna kannan azhaikkiran' from the movie Kavikuyil, is based on this raaga only. Source of this information - lyricist-poet Vaali.He has mentioned this in one of his books.Just listen to the song.It was sung by BalaMuraliKrishna sir.Just observe the flute part in the song..I have just one word - AWESOME.

Ilayaraja has composed almost all genre of songs.Carnatic,Western,Folk,Devotional etc..Infact his Thiruvasagam symphony oratario is a fusion of Indian classical with western classical.In his initial stages he didn't get many awards.To be honest,he was not given awards in India.Dirty politics can be the only reason for this.He was awarded just 3 national awards for best music direction,out of which two awards were for Telugu movies.A man who scored music for more than 900 movies was awarded just 3 national awards and that too just 1 for Tamil cinema.Can there be anyother reason than crap politics?He is the first person to win a national award for Best Background Music.I consider,its an honor to that award,that it goes to Ilayaraja.As A R Rahman said, Ilayaraja's music is something bigger than oscars and awards.

One interesting information I would like to share here.The oscar award winning music director A R Rahman was a keyboard player in Ilayaraja sir's troupe in his initial days.He played the keyboard for Punnagai Mannan theme music and it is said that he used the synthesizers for this theme music.Its a great theme music,composed by Ilayaraja and played by A R Rahman.

KamalHassan starrer 'Sagarasangamam' was a huge hit in Telugu.Again its a product of legends - K Viswanath,the director,Ilayaraja the music director and Kamalhassan - the hero.It was dubbed in Tamil and the movie went on to become a huge huge blockbuster in Tamil too.In Tamil,the lyrics were penned by Vairamuthu and they have used some songs Thyagaraja swamigal.But for Ilayraja's music,I don't think the dubbed version might have become such a huge hit.I have seen this movie so many times and I will watch it again and again hereafter too.This is my favorite Kamal movie.His expressions and dance still remains in my eyes.Marvelous acting by Kamal sir.Watch this video friends.Especially when Jayaprada says,'ivarum periya dancer thaanga',Kamal will cry,holding her hands,emotionally.While watching this scene,many times I was moved to tears.Also listen to the song which comes after the scene. Absolute masterpiece.Infact I would recommend you people to watch this movie fully(if you have not seen this movie before).The directorial touch can be felt in every scene,especially when the end card appears as "NO END FOR ANY ART".

I would like to stop with this about Ilayaraja sir.Imagine what will happen if I start describing about all his 950 movies.

P.S. : In my previous post,I have mentioned that I was not sure about who wrote the song "Enakkoru Kaadhali Irukkindraal" and also have mentioned that it must be either Vaali or Kannadasan.I got the answer for this.It is Vaali.Got this info from veteran singer L R Eswari.She said this while presenting a program in Captain TV.

On seeing the above lines don't think that I am describing about my lover here[Meaning of the song is something like I have a lover,she smiles in my tunes].Actually I don't have any lover or lovers :P.Well this a Tamil song tuned by veteran music director M S Viswanathan(MSV).The song was sung by again MSV and S P Balasubramaniam(SPB). Well this is an ultra-cool song which many might not have heard.If you listen to this song carefully,you can observe the way the instruments,violin and piano,used. The song comes in the movie,"Muthana muthallavo",I still have a confusion on who wrote the lyrics for this song.I have checked with some sources,some say its Kannadasan and some say its Vaali.So couldn't come to a conclusion on this.But it is one among these 2.Lovely lyrics is what I feel.Listen to this song here.

This is the speciality of MSV sir.Using a single instrument throughout the song in the background.If you listen to the song Kalyaana Naal Paarka sollalama from the movie Parakkum Paavai,you can feel the usage of Saxaphone and a "tak tak" music playing in the background right from the beginning of the song till the end.He is a master in using instruments.While describing about MSV one can't ignore Mr.Ramamurthy. Viswanathan-Ramamurthy - this was a great pair those days.That's why they are called as "Mellisai Mannargal"(king of melodies).Mr.Ramamurthy is a master in playing violin.This song,for which the musical score was by Viswanathan-Ramamurthy, became a huge hit and the no. of violins used for this song was a record those days(of-course after that Rakkamma Kayyathattu came).The song is "Enge Nimmadhi".

Viswanathan-Ramamurthy has worked together for so many songs,but unfortunately they parted ways due to some personal issues.Working individually MSV sir became successful in the beginning itself,but Ramamurthy sir couldn't shine immediately,but he too tasted success after some struggle in the industry.But individually, MSV was more successful as a composer compared to Ramamurthy.

MSV has composed music for so many movies.The movie Ninaithale Inikkum is a genuine musical hit.The movie had around 15 songs and all the 15 are hit songs. Imagine a movie with so many songs nowadays.Will the audience have patience to hear so many songs?But MSV's music made it possible,those days.The songs were such a huge hit that one song from this movie has been remixed(to be precise,it was rehashed in a little amateur manner) recently.The song is Engeyum eppodhum from the movie "Polladhavan".

Once Ilayaraja and A R Rahman themselves said in an interview that travel in the path shown by the legend M S Viswanathan sir. He is also a nice singer.Some of his popular songs as a singer include Enakkoru Kaadhali,Sambo siva sambo, Vasantha kaala nadhigalile(he was the play back singer for Rajni in that song),Aalalakanda aadalukku thagappa,Meghame oh meghame(from the recent movie Madarasapattinam).His voice has still not lost the magic. Its too difficult to list out the popular movies which had the musical score of MSV sir,as the number is too large.Still I would like to list out some movies Ninaithaale Inikkum,Moondru mudichu,Thillu Mullu,Simla Special,Varumayin niram sivappu,Billa(Rajni starrer),Enga Veetu Pillai,Avan thaan manithan,sumaithaangi etc.

Though I don't belong to the era of music,when MSV was at his peak,I am still happy that his songs still attract people of the current generation too.

This is a very small description about the legends MSV-Ramamurthy.It is possible to publish a series of books describing their works.Now let me get into 'Mama' Mahadevan.The song "Mama mama mama" from the movie Kumudam was a huge hit and till today it remains one of the most popular songs of Tamil Cinema.The music director of this song is none other Mr.K V Mahadeva.As this song became such a huge hit,he was fondly called as 'Mama' Mahadevan.K V Mahadevan was also equally popular as MSV.He too has composed for so many MGR-Sivaji movies and all.

He is also a very popular music director in Telugu cinema too.His works with director K Viswanath are absolute masterpiece.His Shankarabharanam is my favorite.The songs in Shankarabharanam like Manasa Sanchanare , Shankara Naadha shareeraaparaa are evergreen classics.Shankarabharanam is a movie based on music.All the songs are in Carnatic style and all the songs were sung by man with golden voice Mr. S P Balasubramaniam.Point to be noted is,SPB sir didn't learn Carnatic music formally.But the songs are simply awesome and none will believe that this man didn't learn Carnatic music formally.Pure hard work.When we listen to such songs in a relaxed mood,we will feel like living in heaven(atleast I felt like this so many times).

He has scored music for lot of Tamil movies too viz.,Vivasayee,Thiruvilayadal,Kandhan Karunai,Thiruvarutchelvar etc.His "Mannavan Vandhaanadi Thozhi" from the movie Thiruvarutchelvar is a song which I would recommend everyone, who likes good music, to listen.What an extra-ordinary composition it is.This song has an important space in my personal life too.In my school days,when I was in town,I used to watch lot of cultural programs in schools,temples,halls etc.Atleast 2-3 girls will dance for this song in every function.Simple love this song.Whenver I listen to this song,I just want to go back to those good old days.Am sharing the video link for the song below,don't hesitate to listen the complete song.The song exactly starts at 1.52sec..What a brilliant dance performance by Padmini madam.Do watch it friends :-).

Still so many singers and music directors like Seergazhi Govindarajan,S Varalakshmi(singers) and V Kumar,Papanasam Sivan,Sudharsanam,Vijayabaskar etc.But am not getting in depth about them,if possible will try to add up some info here and there about him.This doesn't mean that these people are not so popular or they don't have such a great reputation and all..I like all the above mentioned music directors and singers too.But I just want to cover up some more things related to music,so only I am not writing much about these greats.

Well after so many years,these songs are able to attract even the current generation.One of the main reasons for this success is the space given for lyrics.Lyrics and tune had equal space those days.Music never dominated the lyrics.Sound never suppressed the song those days.That's why these songs never fade away. Sometimes a song can bring about a change in our personal life too.This is one such song,which was written by a great lyricist.

One man was looking for an opportunity to become a lyricist in Tamil Cinema.But he lost all his hopes at one stage(its no mean task to get a chance in any field in cinema).He packed all his luggages and he has decided to return to his native,out of frustration.Singer P B Srinivas came to his room exactly when he was all set to go.This man had a good contact with so many cinema personalities,but still he couldn't get a chance.He didn't reveal his plans of going back to his native to PBS and instead,he asked PBS to sing some good song which he sang recently.PBS started singing the above song 'Mayakkama kalakkama'.This person after listening to the song completely,dropped his plans of going back.This song gave him a new hope and he decided not to go back without achieving in Tamil Cinema.He worked hard,he faced lot of obstacles,but finally he achieved it.He is none other than the evergreen young lyricist Mr.'Vaali' A meaningful song written by a legend,has created another legend.

I will translate the meaning here in the best possible way.'Are you depressed?Are you confused?Are you scared of your life?In life there will be thousands of issues.Problems are there in every house.Whatever be the problem that you are facing,it will not run away from you,just because you are depressed.If you have a heart to accept everything,your life will be peaceful forever".Reason for translating this song is,this song might give a new lease of life to some depressed soul,who is reading this blog.As I mentioned earlier,the translation is only for people who doesn't knows Tamil.

What a meaningful lines written by Kannadasan sir again :D.Every male reader will like this song from the movie 'Nizhal nijamaagiradhu'.

Always one has to be careful in dealing with poets and lyricists.God's greatest gift to them is their powerful words.Once Mr.Pattukottai Kalyanasundaram wrote a song and gave it to a producer.That producer told him to get the payment for that song the next day.His(Mr.Kalyanasundaram's) economical condition was very bad at that time.When he went to get the payment,he delayed it purposefully.The producer asked his watchman to tell him that he was not in the house.Pattukottayar wrote the following lines in a paper and kept it on the bench and left the place.The next day ,the producer settled the amount without any further delay and also apologised for what has happened.This is what Pattukottayaar wrote :

தாயால் பிறந்தேன்
தமிழால் வளர்ந்தேன்
நாயே நேற்றுன்னை
நடுவீதியில் சந்தித்தேன்
நீ யார் என்னை
நில்லென்று சொல்வதற்கு

This is the best example to show his self-confidence.Even when his economical condition was too bad,he never gave up his self-respect.கெட்டாலும் மேன் மக்கள் மேன் மக்களே!!!

When you are going to play with the self-respect of someone,be prepared to get back nicely something like this.Pattukottayaar was highly influenced by Communism.That's why he wrote songs like,

This song will be surely in my playlist if am listening songs in night.This song is one of the best lullabies I have ever heard.A lullaby with a strong meaning.This comes in the movie Needhikku Thalaivanangu.The situation will be like this,MGR will come out of his home to prove himself.He will work as a servant in heroine's home and she will ask him to sing a song.He will sing this song and will make her sleep.Actually there are 2 versions of this song.The female version was sung by S Varalakshmi madam and the male version by K J Yesudas.The lyrics of female version will be something like a mother describing the powerful character of her son while singing the lullaby.Specialty of the female version is that,the lyrics will appear as if it was not only written for the character but also to MGR personally.Yes it is the song,"Intha pachaikilikkoru sevvandhi poovil".I am sharing the male version here.

The meaning goes like this.I made a cradle for my kid using flowers and singing this lullaby.Every child is good at the time of its birth.Whether the child becomes good or bad in the future depends on how he/she brought up by his/her mother.If you chose the wrong path,you can't reach your destination.When a person deviates from a moral life and indulges in immoral activities,his/her mother will live in humiliation and the activities of the person will bring only bad name to his mother.Watch this song in the below link :

What a meaningful lyrics!!!If we hear such songs daily it will influence our habits for sure and we might also give up some bad habits.And the above song was written by Mr.Pulamaipithan.

Music moods - A Musical Journey - part-2

What a song to start with the second part of this musical journey!!.Now if you don't know Tamil,don't get puzzled,am translating it.Am just cherishing the memories of our olden days my friend,but the present days are not as happy as those days.This song was composed by 'Mellisaimannar' M S Viswanathan and the lyrics were written by none other than our evergreen young poet Vaali.Today we have so many new instruments.Lot of facilities in composing a song,recording etc.But those days,these many advancements were not the songs just remain immortal.Even after almost 40-50 years of its release,MGR's Naan Aanayittal song remains the favorite for many music lovers(preferably fans of Tamil movie songs).This is not the case with Tamil songs alone,in every language we have such songs.Mohammad Rafi's songs remains evergreen classics.

If these songs are able to attract the people of this modern era too means,its not only because of the music director or singer.It is a teamwork.Of-course,every achievement is a result of team work,that is different,but here I would like to share some of the incidents and the factors responsible for the success of these (g)old songs.Nowadays we have the facility to mix the music separately,the track can be sang separately and everything can be mixed together later.But that is not the case during those days.

Once recording was going on for a song.And the composition itself took lot of time to get completed.To bring a co-ordination in everything,the chorus section,instruements,the main song etc itself, it took a long time for this particular song.Everyone were already hungry.After the composition was over,everyone started moving out, but suddenly the person who was incharge of the recording part stopped everyone and said that there was some error while recording,so the entire song has to be recorded again.And they didn't have anyother option than to redo the recording and they did.Unfortunately I don't remember the song but the singer was veteran Tamil singer,T M Soundararajan.

This kind of hardwork and man-work is one of the main reasons for the success of these songs.And I have quoted a song at the top of the post,andha naal nyaabagam,a unique incident is associated with this song.The visuals of the song is such that the hero just runs in a joy and he breathes heavily and sings the song.To make it natural,the singer ran from steps in the studio and sang this song with a heavy breathing.Again the singer is Mr.T M Soundararajan.Just watch the song with visuals,you will understand how perfectly the visuals and the audio matches.

This is a unique quality of TMS.By listening the song itself(without seeing the visuals),we can identify whether its an MGR song or a Sivaji's.For Sivaji,he will sing in high pitch and for MGR he will sing with a relatively soft voice.Something like this.Watch these 2 songs,you can easily identify the difference.

Not only like this,he has differentiated his voice to suit the mood of the song in different ways.In a movie called "Gnana Oli",see the way he sings for the younger Sivaji and just observe the way he has modified his voice to suit the oldman character of Sivaji in the same movie.Just listen these songs,amma kannu summa sollu and Devane ennai paarungal below.

He sang for a variety of heroes and he worked for a variety of music directors including the legends like M S Viswanathan,K V Mahadevan,Ilayaraja etc.He also has worked with T Rajendar,who is a very good music director.Also he sang for heroes including MGR,Sivaji,Gemini Ganesan,Jaishankar,SSR,Rajnikanth etc.The combination of MGR/Sivaji+Kannadasan/Vaali+M S Viswanathan and/or Ramamurthy + TMS/SPB was a terrific one those days.Just watch these songs,TMS sang for Jaishankar and SSR respectively.What a voice it is!!!.Its all God's gift.

One suggestion,watch these songs with little less volume.It will be an awesome feeling.

I am a huge fanatic of TMS' voice,that's why when I started off with black and white songs,I started focusing on him bit more.Well so many great singers are there apart from TMS like C S Jayaraman,P B Srinivas,T R Mahalingam , A M Rajah etc. If you want to listen their voices,just click on their names,I have shared a song sang by these people.You people must listen to the voice of C S Jayaraman,its such a unique voice and it might also appear bit funny to fans of modern day songs,still give a try,he is a great singer.In the link,listen to the "Kaaviyama Nenjil Oviyama" song of C S Jayaraman.

If I leave with this,then people might accuse me that am a male chauvinist :D.To be honest,I simply love the voice of so many female singers like P Susheela,S Janaki,Vaani Jayaram,Chitra,Jensi etc.

This song is a true masterpiece.When a private channel(I think Vijay TV or Raj TV am not sure of this) conducted a felicitation function to Susheela madam for her 50th year in cinema,Isaignani Ilayaraja sir requested Susheela madam to sing this song only.Its not only his favorite,but also my favorite.Amazing voice.Especially observe when she sings "kanavil vandhavar yaarena ketten kanavarendraar thozhee kanavarandral avar kanavu mudindhadhum pirindhadhu en thozhee".It is not only Susheela madam's voice,but also 'Kaviyarasar' Kannadasan's meaningful lyrics and Viswanathan-Ramamurthy's soothing music has given life to this song.This what happens when great people work together in a song : the song remains immortal and it attracts more and more generations.She has sang so many popular songs like Nenjam Marappadhillai,Naalai Intha Velai Parthu,Sonnadhu neethaana etc.

It is from the movie "Nizhal Nijamaagiradhu".What a voice these people are gifted with.Vaani Jayaram madam and SPB sir.Beautiful voice and meaningful lyrics is what again made this song a huge hit.Just listen to the lyrics too."Maniyosai enna idi osai enna edhu vandha podhum nee kettadhillai"[meaning : "you haven't heard either the sound of bell or thunder",that is he has not heard any sound] - these lines itself indicate the artiste who takes care of the heroine is a deaf person.Also just listen the lines,"thalladum pillai ullamum vellai thaalaattu paada aadhaaram illai Deivangalellam unakkaaga paadum paadaamal ponaal edhu Deivamaagum" -[meaning: you are like a kid with pure heart and there is no evidence for singing lullaby for you. I really regret for not writing much about the legend P B Srinivas.His songs for Gemini Ganesan are popular even today ex: Manithanenbavan Deivamaagalam etc.As I am writing about music in general,couldn't write complete details about all the singers.And it will be meaningless if I don't write much about the "Mellisaimannargal" M S Viswanathan-Ramamurthy , "Mama" Mahadevan etc.Now don't confuse yourself for the reason associated with the prefix "Mama".I will tell that in my next post.In my next post,I will be dealing with M S Viswanathan-Ramamurthy,Pattukottayaar,Kannadasan,Vaali etc.

Music moods - A Musical Journey

First time am attempting to write about music.Well to be honest,I don't know to 'compose' a song,also I don't know to play any musical instruments.But I love good music.I love songs.I believe, to enjoy good music one need not be a trained musician or singer.I would just like to share my views and some of my experiences related to music through this post.

Music plays a major role in everyone's life.Infact there is music in everyone's life.Every individual has a liking towards music,some people like Carnatic music,some have a liking towards western and some towards folk songs etc.But the reality is,depending upon our mood,the type of music we listen,varies.For me,the day starts with some meaningful songs.During the days,when I used to go in train or bus in the mornings,I created a playlist in my mobile and I would hear the same set of songs daily in the morning.It would start with either Ilayaraja sir's Thiruvasagam or his soul-stirring 'Janani Janani'.If its Thiruvasagam,first I would listen 'Putril Vaazh Aravum Anjen' then only other songs.But this playlist only when am travelling in bus/train.

If its a Margazhi(mid December to mid January) month,I will not miss my favorite singer Nithyashree Mahadevan's devotional songs in the TV channels.Its a great feeling to hear the likes Nithyashree or Bombay Jayashree's songs during margazhi month.Best part of the margazhi musical programs is Nithyashree singing Mahakavi Bharathiyar's songs.In the above video she is singing Bharathiyar's song.She is not only a great singer,but also a woman with great dignity.On seeing the way she appears in musical shows and the way she sings,at times I have felt like "Saraswathy Devi" herself is singing.She is so modest.See the way she answers about Mahakavi in one of the functions.I will not hesitate do a Namaskaram to this lady if I see her.

She is the grand-daughter of the veteran Carnatic singer D K Pattammal.D K Pattammal madam's Aaduvome palli paaduvome is one of the most popular Tamil songs,the lyrics of which were penned by Mahakavi Bharathiyar again.Pattammal passed away in 2009.But her legacy lives on.Though she is no more today,her songs are immortal.It is possible to write a series of posts about Pattammal madam itself.She was the first brahmin woman to perform this genre of music publicly.The brahmin society restricted woman from performing such music publicly and they considered it a taboo.She won all the odds and has left lot of immortal songs for us.You can watch Aaduvome pallu paaduvome in the below link(watch it from 5.36 sec).

When we think about Carnatic music,it is highly impossible to forget M S Subbulakshmi madam.She is widely known for her devotional songs.She has also acted in some movies and the popular movie is 'Meera'.Her 'Bhaja Govindam' will create divine mood while listening itself.Most of the people listen to M S Subbulakshmi's version of Venkatesa Suprabatham in the early morning.Whenever I listen her 'Kurai ondrum illai marai moorthy kanna',I would forget almost all the difficulties.One may be an atheist.But this lady's voice has some magic and it will surely have a great impact on the listener.Here is the song:

When one starts thinking about classical music,one can't restrict himself with just these songs.I mentioned about 'Margazhi' month,so just related these legends.

It will be a real sin,if one forgets K J Yesudas or UnniKrishnan,when writing about Carnatic music.An Yesudas song in the early morning is a great joy.In my 'devotional songs' playlist,Raama Naamam , Aadal Kalaye and Guruve Saranam songs will always find a place.Not only these songs,he is popular for his "Ayyappan Songs".During the Tamil month 'Karthigai'(comes in November),the devotees will go on fast for Swamy Ayyappan and they will take a pilgrimage to Sabarimalai.Devotees will take the pilgrimage only in groups and they will be hearing lot of Ayyappan songs. Most of them would be K J Yesudas sir's.A group of religious fanatics fight in the name God.K J Yesudas sir is a Christian and Ayyappan songs in his voice only many will prefer to hear.Without true affection and devotion towards Swamy Ayyappan,Yesudas sir could not have created this magic, and , this golden voice of Yesu anna(that's how many fondly calls him) is definitely a gift of God.

His most popular Ayyappan song is Harivarasanam . And just watch the video below.Its an evergreen classical song from the movie called "Mogamul".I couldn't get the exact video of the song,but listen to the audio.Song was composed by Isaignani Ilayaraja.

Still so many Carnatic singers are there.Lot of other language singers are also there.I will try to write about them too,as this post is going to be continued.Let this be the first part.I have started with Carnatic music and in the upcoming posts,I will try to include all other genre of songs.

The other face of casteism

My previous post highlighted the plight of Dalits and other backward communities.There are some more issues related to casteism.There is an unwritten rule in India that "being secular is being anti-hindu".On the same lines,there is another unwritten rule,that is being followed in some states,bash brahmins and you become a pagutharivaali(means civilized person or literally,people with 6th sense).Most of the politicians starts with this and end up with something like giving reservation to a so-and-so community targeting their votes.This vote bank politics has created a dangerous situation in India.

Now,I think,the reservation in Tamil Nadu is around 69%.According to constitution,it should not exceed 50%.But the then govts made some amendments and has increased the reservations to 69%.It was somewhere around 25% in Tamil Nadu and the then DMK govt increased it to 31%,and in 1980,after suffering severe setbacks in a parliamentary elections,the then CM, Mr.MGR,has increased it to 50%,thinking that the defeat was due to some of the statements made by him earlier.It is said that,once MGR said the creamy layer should not get reservation and some amendments has to be made in the existing reservation system.But in the early 80s,the DMK aligned with congress and MGR was with Janata Party.Janata govt collapsed within 2-3 years and it couldn't keep up people's faith,as a result of which the verdict was completely against Janatha Party and the Congress got a landslide victory.MGR thought the defeat was due to his statements about reservation and increased it to 50%.DMK too thought there is an anti-incumbency against ADMK govt and tactically and undemocratically, the DMK-Congress alliance,dismissed the democratically elected ADMK govt under MGR.But in the elections,again ADMK got a landslide victory and MGR became CM.This clearly shows the reason for defeat in Parliament elections had more to do with the central govt.He shouldn't have increased it to 50%.

Again in 1990s,Jayalalitha increased it to 69% targeting the votebank of backward classes.A blunder in her political career I would say.So,in TN,from 1971,these Dravidian parties(DMK-ADMK) has increased the reservation from 25% to 69%.The thing is,they will feel proud of this act.If you approach sensibly,you will understand the fact that increase in reservation means that there was nothing called development and the state has been completely spoiled.Why was the reservation introduced?It was because of the untouchability and to improve the status of socially suppressed communities.That's why it was introduced on socio-economic basis.But after introducing this pattern of reservation,the then honorable law minsiter,Dr.B R Ambedkar,himself stated that,after a period of time this reservation system has to be amended and it should not be given as in the current format.

A section of society argues that there should be no reservation at all.Everyone should fight in open-general category.People understand the point that,caste is not at all related to knowledge.Every individual is equally talented.There was a guy in my school,who belonged to SC category(this info was shared by one of my teachers in class as a word of praise to him).I do not wish to disclose his name here,since am relating caste here.He is an extremely talented fellow.He got seat in some of the top medical institutions of India(am not sure of whether it is AFMC or AIIMS or JIPMER).Point to be noted is,he got in open general category,he didn't get it on the basis of quota system.So I do agree with the fact that people from all communities are equally talented.

One thing which we have to consider here.He is from a family which has a reasonably good economical background and he was in a developed place.He had opportunities and made use of it.This reservation is for people who don't have such opportunities.People from underdeveloped villages,towns etc. which doesn't have good schools,educational institutions etc.They deserve this reservation.But there is another important thing behind this.Once someone makes use of this reservation and improves his status(not only financially,but also on educational basis too),his children and grand children should not be given any reservation.This is called creamy layer.And one more thing has to be done.A new census has to be taken based on caste honestly.While doing so,the status of people in a particular community will be clearly known.And to be honest,nowadays an elite society in all the communities are enjoying high positions and still making use of these reservations.So after the census,the percentage of reservation based on caste should come down.This process of census has to be implemented on a regular basis and the % of reservation should decrease gradually.

This is what I would like to tell.Giving reservation itself will not spoil the chances of anyone,but implementing it as it is being done now,will.

Now let me get into other(other than reservation) issues of casteism.There is a section of society,which blames Brahmins for anything and everything.It is concerned about the backward classes such that,anything that goes against them is termed a "brahministic attitude".At the same time,they simply make use of their caste name to escape from their mistakes.Now you might think that I will bring in Karunanidhi's statement that "Raja is targeted because he is a dalit",but I will not :D.There was a judge in Karnataka,name P D Dinakaran.There are lot of corruption charges against him.The law should have punished him severely.But the 'secular' political parties played the caste card and he is still a Chief justice in someother state.Not only politicians,even if u take a normal day to day fight,it will be converted into a caste issue.So many educated morons indulge in such nonsense.

The previous DMK govt brought a law that people from any caste can become priest in a temple.Later it was canceled by the supreme court.The constitution says just this:In temples,some rules will be followed since olden days that people from a so and so community alone will be made as priests and they alone will enter into the 'garbagraham'(sanctum sanctorum).Others will not be allowed.This holds good for people of all communities(including brahmins) and this holds good only in the case of garbagraham.So there is no question of untouchability here,anyone can enter the temple,but there are restrictions to enter the garbagraham.

If a new temple is built,in that anyone can become priest.So the law is to protect only the ancient practice and belief, followed in religious places.(In my honest opinion,caste hardly matters..as an individual,am perfectly ok with any person serving as priest).The govt know there is such a provision in our constitution.Then why did they bring this act?To project themselves as the saviors of minorities.

Well,the community which works as priests in temples,is also a minority here.Why can't people project themselves as saviors of this community?They wont,because their votebank cannot determine the outcome of an election.As far as I know,that community to which the priests belong to,is called 'Sivachariyar' community. They will not even eat onions and are believed to be 'physically clean'.And as a continuation of the age-old practice,they work as priests.The temple trust,of-course pays them,but not as much as the missionaries pay to fathers and sisters.Why didn't the govt bring a law that,people from any community(caste) can be made as priests in all churches or mosques?My intention is not to bring such a law,but when people are so cautious and respectful when it comes for churches and mosques,why don't they give same respect to temples and hinduism?

Well,the people work hard to get reservations to backward communities of Islam and Christianity too.But why don't they condemn the atrocities meted out to these backward community people in Christianity or Islam?As I mentioned in my previous post,in some places,Dalit Christians can enter only in Dalit Churches and they will not be allowed into other churches.Why none questions this?Politicians are scared of their vote bank.But what about these so called rationalists and atheists?I saw a debate in Vijay Tv regarding this priest law.It was completely biased and the anchor projected as if the brahmin priests are living a hi-fi lifestyle and only other community people who wants to work as priests,are truly devotional.There were a bunch of rationalists too,supporting the law.This is their principle.There is no God,but non-brahmins should become priests.I don't know what kind of rationalism is this.

If a Muslim is projected as a terrorist,the production house receives warnings.Rajnikanth's Jakkubhai poster itself created lot of controversies among some Muslim groups.If someone speaks against conversions,they are branded communal and the jobless social activists will write columns in Times Of India bashing them.But dialogs like ambaal endha kaalathula da pesirukka(Will Goddess[Parasakthi] ever speak?) are considered revolutionary.There are so many movies which makes fun of Brahmins and their slang and they project brahmins as clowns.If someone condemns this,that is called paarppaniyam(brahminism),Arya budhdhi etc.

I am not accusing that the movies target brahmins alone,but the thing is people raise their voice when it is against other communities and they will not if it is against Hinduism(especially brahmins).Moreover movies should be viewed as movie alone.All said and done,now one need not think that brahmins are saints here.There are few lunatic brahmins who still thinks that brahmin race is the superior on the earth.Even yesterday I came across a post in one of the orkut communities,posted by a brahmin guy that,other community people should always be under brahmins.God save such creatures.The internet is a powerful medium,which can be used for so many constructive purposes.But such caste fanatic idiots(I have also seen other caste communities too ;-)),are using for such malicious propaganda.And this is why people argue that,if such people get power,they will again bring back the practice of untouchability.

Its really disheartening to see some educated people behaving like this.If atleast one person,after reading this post,understands that secularism is not being anti-hindu or anti-Islam,but not disturbing others beliefs,I will be happy.After reading this post,if atleast one person gives up the thought that his caste is the superior or powerful in the world,I will be glad.And I will be really happy,if atleast one person,stops using his/her caste name to escape from their mistake.

This particular post might also brand me an 'Aryan' writer or a 'communal blogger'.But I stand by the following 'Thirukkural':

Meaning : We can't differentiate people based on their birth(whichever caste/religion/family he/she may belong to).Birth is common to everyone.People can be differentiated only based on their talent in their jobs.

Prevailing untouchability and conversions

I have been thinking to write about this for quite a long time.Well we all very well know that a section of the society has been suppressed and they were treated badly.And now the modern education and media penetration,might give an opinion that untouchability is completely eradicated in India.But the real picture is something different.I have come across so many 'caste' fanatics who are well educated.And this crime(untouchability) is cited as a major reason for another crime - 'conversions'.

If we think of casteism or untouchability,the very first thing that comes to our mind is 'Brahminism'.No sensible person can deny the fact that Brahmins treated some backward communities badly.But there is a fact which is never highlighted by any 'revolutionary' writer or any media.The fact is,not only brahmins,but also,other dominant communities,involved/involves in this act of untouchability.In every place,that community which forms the majority,has treated the backward communities badly.

In Tamil Nadu people like Mahakavi Subramanya Bharathiyar,Pavendhar Bharathidasan,Thandhai Periyar etc has written a lot against untouchability and also has involved themselves in some activities to eradicate the practice of casteism.Am not here to write about all these stuff here.These are all history.But the challenge we are facing here is something different.It is the current generation,which is not ready to give up their fanaticism towards their caste.There are so many educated individuals,who still consider it a sin to drink water from the house of a Dalit.This includes individuals from almost every community.People still think,people belonging to these socially suppressed communities(தாழ்த்தப்பட்டவர்கள் ),should be under them only in all aspects.

The 2-tumbler(one for Dalits and one for others) system is still in practice in many places.The people simply justify this practice.Recently,in Villoor,there were incidents of communal violence.There the 2-tumbler system is in practice.Moreover,according to caste hindus,Dalits should not ride motor bikes in streets.Dalits should not pass through some streets.Even if its an emergency situation,they should take the other route,which is long.But,the Superintendent of Police(SP),made some Dalits to ride motor bikes and he was monitoring it. This frustrated the caste Hindus there and they went to the extent of assaulting the SP.A mob tried to kill him.But he managed to escape and again.After this,the SP took severe action.Fearing this,the male members of the dominant caste fled the village.The name of the SP is Asra Garg.We should really respect such good officers.The point is,people of that village justify the assaults on the SP.People belonging to younger generation also justify this act.

What happens as a result of this?People just change their religion.If you think,everyone willingly converts his/her religion,you are wrong.The Christian missionaries,preach about their religion like anything and they just convert people to their religion.Not only citing caste they convert people,but also by offering money,jobs etc. Even during adverse situations,the missionaries,never stop their act of conversion.After Tsunami,the no. of churches has increased to a great extent in coastal areas(am not saying this,writer François Gautier has quoted this in one of his articles).But no politician in Tamil Nadu will condemn this.During the last tenure,Ms.Jayalalitha brought a perfect law,which prohibits,forceful conversions to any religions.But again she bowed down to the pressure and after suffering a humiliating defeat,she revoked the law.But still many Christian associations,votes against her only.It was bad move to revoke that act.

I would also like to mention this here.I am not commenting on people who convert willingly.That is a separate topic and will share my thoughts on it later.

When we speak of conversions,the immediate question that should come to any sensible person's mind is, 'after conversion,whether 'casteism' gets wiped off completely?'.The answer is a big NO.Missionaries will promise you that after you convert your religion,you will be treated equally.They will say there is no caste in Christianity. But what happens in reality is something different.Even in christianity,a Dalit is called only a 'Dalit Christian'.A converted brahmin or Vanniyar is called a 'Christian Brahmin' or 'Christian Vanniyar' respectively.This logic holds good for all communities.Only a Dalit priest will conduct the marriage ceremony or death ceremony or anyother ceremony of a Dalit.The communal clashes among christians in Erayur village 2 yrs ago,itself is a clear indication that untouchability prevails in Christianity too.In a village belonging to Villupuram district,the chariot of St.Mary's church,will not pass through the streets of Dalit christians.So it is crystal clear that,in terms of untouchability,christianity is no different from Hinduism.And the current scenario,gives a clear message that,"conversion at no cost is a solution to eradicate casteism".

Even Mr.Periyar,whose name is brought by the people of Dravidar Kazhagam and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam(DMK),whenever bashing brahmins and hindus,has said like this only."Untouchability is a deadly evil.It has to be eradicated immediately.Otherwise,conversions will take place which is a huge threat to the sovereignty of this nation".So even Periyar doesn't support conversion.Am perfectly ok with this.Untouchability is an evil and it should be eradicated,but conversions should not be encouraged.

Another worst proposal that is in progress is,reservations to backward communities of chrisitians and muslims.I don't really understand the logic behind this.The 'varnasrama' system existed only in Hinduism and the reservation was completely based on 'socio' economic basis.From where does backward communities arise in Islam and Christianity?The reservation system itself is in existence only for the upliftment of the socially backward communities.If converted people are also going to get reservation,then the very idea of reservation itself becomes meaningless.

Because of this reservation system,I have seen people belonging to some of the so called forward communities talking all kinds of crap.Some people will speak as if they lost a seat in IIT/IIM only because of reservation.I have seen many guys/girls even speaking of changing their community status to BC,to get reservation.I can't accept this.Also one can't deny the fact that some of these so called FC people lose seats in reputed colleges,by a whisker.To prevent or reduce this(I don't think it is possible to prevent atleast in near future),the creamy layer should not be given reservation.Some changes has to be made in the existing system, so that the reservation should reach people who really deserves it and it also should gradually go down.First of all we have to understand this,there is nothing called forward community in India.There are only backward communities.Every other community,which is not considered backward,is grouped under OC(Other Communities).Reservation can never stop the talented people.If we take efforts,we will definitely get what we deserve.We may not get what we desire,but we will surely get what we deserve.

I have observed a different trend among a section of society.So many people have openly accused brahmins to me.Without any reason,people say,"brahmins are supporting this,so this will be done".Also they say,"he is a brahmin,so he is not a Tamilian,brahmins are mean minded" etc etc.To be honest,I have seen 'fanatic' brahmins too,like fanatics in every other community.I have seen fanatics in almost every community.But,for the sake of 'few' idiots,generalizing any community is the most insane thing to do.The caste hindus mentioned in that villoor incident are not brahmins.The politicians accuse brahmins like this for votes.They will not get votes anymore for brahmin bashing.But whats really dangerous is,educated people speaking all these crap.

I agree that some 'fanatic' brahmins are there.But there is nothing called brahmin domination,as few people project.They project only brahmins are in high positions and only they call the shots.It is completely false.Idiots are there in every community and the 'brahamin' community is no exception.

We should develop a mentality of viewing a mistake as a mistake.If a person commits a mistake,we should analyse the mistake alone and should act accordingly,instead we should not bring up the argument that "he/she is from a so and so caste/religion,so they will be like that only.".I hope people who read this and are supporting the double tumbler system,will change their mind.

I am not suggesting an inter-caste marriage here to people to prove your secular credentials.Also am not against inter-caste marriages.But,that is also not a proper solution to eradicate casteism.

There is only one perfect solution.It is changing ourselves.Let us all unite together.Let us fight this casteism,religious fanatics and conversions.Let us format the existing system and eradicate the virus called 'untouchability'.

P.S: Reservation can never stop the talented people.If we take efforts,we will definitely get what we deserve.We may not get what we desire,but we will surely get what we deserve.

New findings on Rajiv Gandhi's assassination

Today in CNN-IBN I saw a debate about the revealings of KP@Selvarasa Padhmanaban@Kumaran Padhmanabhan@Kutty.KP is now the leader of LTTE.He became(or was made) the leader of LTTE after its founder Velupillai Prabhakaran was killed.Now that he has given an interview and the debate was all about the so called facts revealed by him during the interview.The debate had participants like Manishankar Ayyar - a senior congress leader and former petroleum minister,N Ram - editor of 'The Hindu',Mr.Karthikeyan - man who led the Special Investigation Team to probe the assassination of Mr.Rajiv Gandhi.

I do not wish to get into the entire interview of KP.Also I am not telling my views or opinion on LTTE or its armed struggle or its leader Velupillai Prabhakaran.I would just like to make a small analysis on one part of his interview.I am just pasting the questions and answers on which this post is about.

Why Prabhakaran hated Rajiv Gandhi – and who plotted the murder

VKS: Can you tell us, once and for all, did Prabhakaran plan Rajiv Gandh’si assassination?

KP: That is exactly (true). Everyone knows the truth. Those who were involved in this murder were from the LTTE intelligence wing and those who were arrested. It was well planned and done actually with Prabhakaran and (intelligence chief Pottu Amman). Everyone knows the truth.

I want to say to the Indian people and especially the Gandhi family… I want to apologise for Prabhakaran’s mistake. Please forgive us, we beg you. Our people are struggling here, please help our people to live as humans. Sorry for all this, we know the feelings of the son (Rahul) of Rajiv Gandhi. It’s human nature – how father and daughter are attached (reference to Rajiv’s daughter Priyanka).

VKS: You asking Tamil Nadu politicians to forget the past but in order to forget the past, the truth of the past must also be told. You are a senior member of the LTTE, you know the truth. Isn’t a fact that several politicians and political parties did support and push several Tamil people into violence? Can you name any political party and say the truth?

KP: In our struggle, sometimes we (have) depended on Tamil Nadu. When we started our struggle, it was very clean. We did not involve Indian politicians.. When we had problems, we went to India for some time and then come back. We didn’t meet anyone. This was the beginning of our struggle.. The problem was when we first met politicians in Tamil Nadu – for example when Prabhakaran and Uma Maheswaran fought on the streets of Tamil Nadu and were put in jail – we sought the help of politicians to get bail. That was the start of Tamil Nadu political influence…

Then we know what the real problem is in Tamil Nadu. You know Periyar, who started the Dravida Kazhagam movement. He wanted separation from the North (of India). He meant Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra to be separated from the North. It was from this social base that Annadurai (former DMK CM before Karunanidhi), and Karunanidhi came. The movement failed, but we still have people with this policy (Veeramani, Ramakrishnan…these people had the same mindset). They don’t accept change, and the world is changing.

Sometimes we have dreams, but whether these are possible or not we have to evaluate. We have to calculate. So, Dravida Kazhagam, which has been there for 100 years, even after Periyar is gone, is still passing on its ideas to (people like) Prabhakaran, especially anti-Brahminism. Prabhakaran’s idea was to struggle against the Brahmins.

Because of this (DK background), Tamil Nadu politicians made a marvelous hero out of Prabhakaran. They compared him to old Tamil Kings, and his colour changed. That’s why he made this blunder against Rajiv Gandhi.

VKS: Are you saying the DMK, in a way, ideologically influenced Prabhakaran to take the step of Rajiv Gandhi’s assissination?

KP: This I cannot say yes, but you know that influence…they (Tamil politicains) fed him against the Brahmins. That’s why he hated the Prime Minister of India. He was a young leader and he wanted to be fast. He tried to solve the problem as soon as possible.

First of all,the media goes gaga over the statement that Prabhakaran was the man behind Rajiv's death.They are giving a build-up such that they have 'invented' this only from his recent interview.Everyone knew that it was LTTE,which was behind Rajiv Gandhi's assassination.But KP's reasoning for that is absolute non-sense. He says Prabhakaran killed Rajiv Gandhi,because he hated Brahmins and DMK and DK's ideology influenced him to do this.By this statement,I am getting few doubts.It was not KP's view.I believe KP was forced to give an interview like this.

Now that the DMK is in a miserable condition,with some of its prominent leaders in Tihar jail.So,I think the Congress party wants to distance itself from DMK and it is just trying out every possible step and this is one such step.That is politics.I am least bothered about that.But why KP is giving such an interview all of a sudden?He was caught by the Sri Lankan forces long back.How can a caste hatred result in the assassination of one of the prominent leaders of India?As far as I know,Prabhakaran had some issues with some Islamic groups and he killed many Muslims. The anti-brahminism is something which is unheard of.

Infact,MGR openly supported LTTE in the beginning,but MGR was not against any caste(but he was only against casteism).Prabhakaran and other LTTE groups has enormous respect towards MGR.For them Kalaignar comes next to MGR only.As far as I know,during a time,when MGR was in power,the LTTE distanced itself from DMK.That much respect and fear they had towards MGR.So how come all of a sudden DMK and DK's anti-brahministic principles influence Prabhakaran and that will result in the killing of an important leader of a foreign nation?(I mean India to Sri Lanka is a foreign nation).

And the Jain commission report indicts DMK on Rajiv Gandhi's assassination issue.Mr.Jain said, "I am fully satisfied with my interim report and what it contains..Each one of my conclusions and observations is based on documents on record with the commission.".After all these findings,the congress aligned with DMK for its political gains in Tamil Nadu in the 2004 parliament elections.Now the DMK has suffered a humiliating defeat in TN and the congress wants to ditch it.For that reason it is using people like KP and it is bringing useless theories like anti-brahminism.

Going by KP's entire interview am able to come to a conclusion that the Congress govt at the centre is in very good relationship with the Lankan govt(on this issue alone).Happenings in the recent past confirms this.So might be the congress party behind this interview.But I don't know whether it is behind this interview or not.It's just my suspicion.

From this interview of KP itself,it is pretty clear that Rajiv Gandhi 'forced' Prabhakaran to accept the Rajiv-Jayewardene pact.Prabhakaran was not happy with it and it is said that the IPKF,sent by Rajiv Gandhi was caught into several controversies.Prabhakaran retaliated for all these stuff is what I believe.Moreover I don't think Prabhakaran could have done this without the help of Indian politicians and especially people close to Mr.Rajiv Gandhi should have definitely helped him(I am just buying the opinions of well known economist and columnist S Gurumurthy and Janatha Party leader Subramanya Swami).Why KP is silent on these names? If this is a candid interview,he should have mentioned those names too right?

Doesn't these factors clearly indicate that there is 'something' fishy behind Rajiv's assassination?Doesn't these facts prove that the anti-brahminism is nothing more than a ploy to fool people?

My view : Rajiv Gandhi's assassination has lot of mysteries.It is definitely not anti-brahminism.The reason has to be probed throughly.Because,I believe not only signing the Rajiv-Jayewardene pact might be a reason for his assassination.

Democracy Wins ~An analysis on Poll Verdict

By this time everyone might be aware of the election results.Headlines Today post poll survey predicted DMK to win these elections by a whisker.CNN-IBN predicted that the ADMK will not get majority on its own and it has to depend on its allies like DMDK and Communists.Tamil Nadu's no.1 crap magazine Nakkeeran predicted a repeat of DMK govt.Junior Vikatan too predicted that ADMK will not get majority on its own.But one man predicted more than 175 seats to ADMK and he was too strong on his opinion.He was none other than the veteran journalist Mr.Cho Ramaswamy.But not only Cho,one more person predicted 180+ seats to ADMK+ and its none other than me :P.

ADMK won with an overwhelming majority.What does this symbolize?Is this a Jayalalitha wave?Is this nothing more than sheer arithmatic?Does Vijayakanth have a significant role in this huge success?Or is this an anti-DMK wave?Let me explain.

If you are going to think that,ADMK's huge success in TN is sheer arithmatic,then its like the same old story of sour grapes.This is a severe blow to corruption,nepotism,atrocities,rowdiism,goondaism,monarchy.The people have taught a clear lesson to the DMK-Congress alliance.I am not an ADMK partyman or an ADMK sympathizer.I am just a common man like every other individual and so I am not writing all these stuff to satisfy the ADMK supremo.I have facts to substantiate my stand.

In 1996,ADMK won just 4 seats.There was an anti-Jayalalitha wave and not pro-Karunanidhi wave.In 96,Tamil Maanila Congress(TMC) led by G.K.Mooppanaar played a major part in bringing back the DMK to power(for this alliance also Cho was the co-ordinator).Also Rajnikanth's support to DMK-TMC alliance helped them to a great extent.Had Rajni entered politics in 96,he would have been the Chief Minister(anyway that is past).Again 2001,the ADMK+ won with absolute majority and formed a govt on its own.So,the verdict was clear that it was a perfect anti-DMK wave.Whereas the scenario was entirely different in 2006.The ADMK alliance won 69 seats in TN,with ADMK alone getting 61 seats.The DMK couldn't get a majority on its own and it formed a govt at the state under the mercy of congress.Yes Jaya rightly pointed out "Minority DMK Govt" frequently :D.

This is what we should call as sheer arithmatic.Because,in 2001 there was no third party to give a stiff competition to the 2 major Dravidian parties.But in 2006,Vijayakanth emerged as a powerful force.His party won just 1 MLA(which was Vijayakanth himself),but it got a voteshare of around 7-8%.The anti-DMK votes got split and at the end of the day,the loser was Jayalalithaa.ADMK's politics itself is based on anti-DMK votes,when that is getting diverted,definitely she will be the loser.Inspite of all these factors,she didn't lose cheaply and her party managed to get 60+ seats.One thing we can clearly understand from this fact is that,had Vijayakanth not floated a party and contested the 2006 elections,Jayalalitha would have got a second term for sure.In 2004 parliament elections too,Vijayakanth played the spoilsport,though his party didn't win any MP seat,still it managed to spoil the prospects of ADMK atleast in 20 constituencies.Point to be noted here is,though the DMK bribed the voters to a great extent,it won only because of DMDK.

This is the reason why many political analysts insisted an ADMK-DMDK alliance.Now because of this alliance,both the parties have benefited to a greater extent.Vijayakanth,who alone went to assembly during the last govt,as an MLA,is now going to sit as the leader of opposition.His' is the 2nd largest party.ADMK is going to form its own govt,with 150+ MLAs,which means we are going to see a stable govt for the next 5 yrs.

The Tamil Nadu voters has sent out some messages to the politicians.If you think that you can easily win based on your caste support,then you will definitely not.This was pretty clear from the way the PMK and VCK parties suffering a humiliating defeat.PMK was able to win just 3 out of 31 seats and VCK lost all the 10.The PMK lost in its founder's town(Tindivanam) itself.Manidhaneya Makkal Katchi(ADMK ally) was able to win some seats,but Muslim League(DMK ally) couldn't win any seat.Doesn't this clearly mean that people voted only based on governance not based on caste/religion?

This election also has sent a strong message to the corrupt politicians.The DMK thought that they could easily 'buy' the victory by bribing the voters.They have given the worst possible govt in the past 5 yrs,but still they hope that they can easily win by bribing the voters.In Rishivandhiyam constituency,its MLA(now ex-MLA) Sivaraj paid around 3 to 4K to voters to defeat Vijayakanth.The voters without any hesitation got the money and voted for Vijayakanth without any second thought.He won with a huge margin of 30,000 votes.

I have been saying this constantly.Comedians/actors/actresses/clowns can bring crowd to meetings.Crowd will clap,laugh and enjoy these artistes' speech.But that will not transform into votes.Our people are not that much dumb to believe every crap that the sun tv telecasted.Vadivelu's campaign definitely had a great effect in this election.It gave a huge publicity to 'politician' Vijayakanth and his party.Even Jaya tv didn't give that much coverage to Vijayakanth as given by sun tv/kalaignar tv.Using comedians and actors during campaign is a common tradition in India.But Vadivelu's campaign was awkward.That has really irritated the people of TN. Result - Vijayakanth's party wins more no. of seats.My point has been proved perfectly.Vadivelu's half-baked stupid campaigns cannot spoil the reputation of either Vijayakanth or the prospects of the ADMK.

One disappointment is in the form of Saidhai.Duraisamy.I doubt that some fraudulent activities has happened there and as a result of which M K Stalin won.NDTV said Stalin lost.But later on,after some chaos in the counting process there,Stalin was 'declared' winner.What's really disappointing is,an able person will not become a minister now.

Another disappointment is in the form of Vaiko.Mr.Vaiko should have bargained for some 12-15 seats and he should have contested the elections with ADMK.Had he done that,definitely he would have got 10 MLAs.He was with ADMK for 5 yrs completely and he was a loyal ally.But he should have realized his limitations and should have accepted the offer of 12 seats.You have missed a great opportunity Mr.Vaiko.I wrote in this same space one month back about Vaiko under this LINK as follows:

Vaiko announced that his party will not contest in the upcoming polls.This is suicidal.Vaiko may be a honest politician,but he is not just smart enough to survive in politics.After elections,I believe a majority of MDMK partymen will join DMK and ADMK.And his decision to boycott the polls will not produce any major effects.Vaiko is an excellent orator and losing his fiery campaigns is definitely a set back for ADMK and the MDMK partymen are just too good in doing field works.But this is not going to affect the chances of an ADMK win.At the end of the day Mr.Vaiko is going to be the sore looser.

Not only TN,there were also elections for 4 other states.In Assam,Tarun Gogoi has won for the 3rd consecutive time.The only state in which the congress party was able to win convincingly.Of-course the people of West Bengal has dethroned the 34 year communist rule and has voted for a change.The congress cannot claim even a single percent credit for this success.It was all a Mamata wave and the anti-incumbency factor that brought the Trinamool Congress to power.The congress is just enjoying the benefits of being an ally of Mamta Banerjee.But I feel the people of Bengal will soon feel that Communist rule was far better.

It is the Kerala election results,which is really interesting.'Experts' predicted a landslide victory for the congress there.The English channels,CNN-IBN,Headlines Today tried their best to create a picture as if the congress was all set to rock the Kerala.I had a belief that the communist party would do well even though they lose,as they were projecting V S Achuthanadan as their CM.V S A is an honest man and his bold actions against corruption deserves a second term for sure.And the verdict was clear.People has not let them completely down.The LDF alliance won 68 out of 140 seats and the congress could manage around 70.Now there is going to be a hung assembly in Kerala.Which means that the people doesn't have faith on the congress.

In Pudhucherry(or Pondicherry) too AINRCongress+ADMK alliance won with a clear majority and N Rangasamy,who floated the NR Congress only 2 months ago,is all set to become CM.Which is again a blow to the congress.

The verdict is clear - perform or perish.You can't 'buy' the victories.Democracy still exists.Majority of the people participate in democracy.Those who refrained from voting deliberately are sore losers.If its due to situations and circumstances that you were not able to vote means,its ok,not a mistake.Those who voted can feel proud of themselves.Jayalalitha or Vijayakanth or Karunanidhi,whoever it be,only we,the voters,who decide who should rule this state.If we are not ok with a govt,we have the power to unseat them.I salute every individual who had cast his votes(you might have voted for DMK/ADMK/BJP/49-O,it doesn't matter) .People who consider themselves as 'intelligents' and chose not to vote should feel ashamed of themselves.

Corruption lost,caste lost,religion lost,but Democracy won.Long live democracy!!!.Let us hope we get a good government atleast from now.

TN Election Results and more..

Just 1 more day to go.On 13th of May,2011,we can know who is going to be the honorable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for the next few years.Headlines Today post poll surveys predicts a coalition govt headed by DMK again and CNN-IBN post/exit poll surveys predicts a coalition govt headed by ADMK.In another website,rediff.com,it is said that ADMK+ is all set to sweep the polls.I know people are really confused on seeing all these stuff and I am able to understand the fact that the readers of this blog are completely confused and you people are expecting me to provide a solution for your confusions.I will be really to solve all your confusions by giving a clear cut answer on who is going to win the polls..Unfortunately,I am also confused like you people :D..So even I have to wait for one more day..

But,these exit polls and post poll surveys may not be exactly true.These numbers are based on the opinion of only a small percentage of voters.Of-course the media can claim that they are applying a so and so technique,so its very much possible.If these exit polls are going to be picture perfect,then why do we need a counting.We can take these results and call Kalaignar or Jayalalitha to form the govt.But there is a problem in this case also.Each media is giving its own numbers :D,so this option is rejected :P.

I too have collected some info about these polls.Only some ten days before the poll,it is said that,lot of money was given to voters to 'buy' their votes.In a VIP constituency near Chennai,there are allegations that the ruling party has given 6k/vote.Also in the north district,to defeat a VIP from the opposition camp(ADMK camp),the ruling coalition has allegedly spent around 3 to 4000 per vote.Like this in so many constituencies,it seems that, money flow was there to a large extent.If all these money transforms into vote,then there wont be any change in the state govt.At the most maximum, some Congress MLAs may get minister posts.

But,inspite of all these factors,if the ADMK+ is going to form a govt in the state,that too with an absolute majority,it clearly means that,the people of TN had disapproved the bribe offered by the political parties(including ADMK) and have voted based on governance.If that is going to be the case,ADMK+ has a bright possibility of winning 180+ seats.There are also allegations that,ADMK candidates too have given money to voters.Of-course they can't match DMK's 5k or 6k because 2G is with only DMK.But still,its a fact which has to be shared.

These English channels has always supported the Congress party,when it comes to elections.This too might be one such ploy by the pro-congress channels.One fact I have observed in these polls means,its the unanimous opposition to the congress party.Supporters of the ADMK led alliance feel that the congress should not win.This is quite natural,as the congress is with their rivals.But the DMK supporters too feel the same.That's something to be noted.Reason,the congress was just too adamant in getting 80+ seats from DMK,while the DMK was not ready to give more than 48.Finally the congress 'snatched' 63 seats from the DMK,using its more trusted ally,the CBI.This has forced the DMK to contest only in 119 constituencies(119 or 117 am not sure).This clearly means that the DMK is not at all going to form a govt with absolute majority.If the reports published in some magazines is going to be true,then the congress will win some 15-20 seats.Not more than that.The reports say that,though the DMK bigwigs has allotted enough money to all the constituencies(including the ones in which the congress is contesting),the congress partymen complain that the local DMK people didn't spend the money during the poll campaign and they claim that they kept the money with themselves,for giving away the constituency to congress.From this,we can understand the kind of field work that the DMK men might have done.

Not only the DMK-ADMK supporters feel that the congress should lose,there is also another group which feels the congress should suffer a humiliating defeat.No no am not talking about BJP or the Tamil Eelam sympathizers.The group am referring to is none other than the congress partymen.The congress supporters themselves wants the party to lose and learn a lesson in these polls.Before the polls,Rahul Gandhi asked the opinion of the partymen about forming an alliance in the polls.It is reported that most of the party men wanted the party to align with ADMK.Refer to statements of EVKS Ilangovan,uttered in the past 8 months.But the congress went with DMK,which has upset the congressmen.Moreover the TN president of Congress party, Mr.Thankabalu,is at the receiving end for not giving seats to right candidates.It is said that,there were campaigns against Thankabalu in his constituency(Mylapore) by the congressmen themselves.Such is the condition of TN Congress.

So with all probabilities its not going to be an easy poll for the DMK+.Some DMK bigwigs might lose this time.Stalin-'Saidhai' Duraisamy contest is the most interesting one.Being a VIP candidate,one can expect Stalin to win hands down,but this time he was forced to 'PAY MORE' attention in his constituency.'Saidhai'Duraisamy is a tough opponent for sure.But still its not going to be all easy for Dhuraisamy either.Thats y I said its an interesting contest.

After the counting,if DMK wins,one man will claim that the reason for ADMK's defeat was ignoring him.He is none other than Mr.Vaiko.That too,if ADMK loses out closely,definitely Vaiko will claim credit.If ADMK doesn't get absolute majority,then we may expect polls in TN before the completion of the 5 yr term itself or we may see a new CM.If the ADMK is going to form a govt on its own,with absolute majority,then it will be really interesting to see the proceedings in TN.The govt servants will go to offices regularly.Some statues might disappear :D.Moreover,an ADMK victory with absolute majority will be a clear indication of success of democracy.Its not that Jaya is the best alternative,but it will be an indication that one can't 'buy' the 'victories' simply by bribing the voters,after giving a miserable govt.This will show the participation of public in the democracy,which is its ultimate success.

On the other hand,if DMK is going to win,there will be an 'upanayanam' to most of the magazines and dailies.Kalaignar will claim credits for breaking the brahmin conspiracy(which exists only in his corrupted mind).The entire cinema association will arrange a felicitation function for the grand old CM of TN for his intelligence and 'honesty(???)'.(This is the only event which was conducted consistently in the past 5 yrs).Spectrum case will go to grave.But if DMK wins,the tough challenge before Kalaignar will be not from Jayalalitha or Vijayakanth,but from his own family members.That will be the biggest challenge the sitting CM of TN will be facing.

Irrespective of the fact that who is going to win these elections,definitely there is going to be one man who will feel a lot for his deeds during these elections.Yes he has dug his own grave.He is none other than 'VaigaiStorm(Vaigaipuyal)' Vadivelu,who will get lost in the storm which is going to occur in TN after 13th.He thinks the DMK will do some favors to him for his 'awkward' campaign against Vijayakanth.But the DMK is known for betraying such people.The DMK has never hesitated to insult even good people,in that case a person like Vadivelu,will not appear significant to them.If ADMK comes to power,others will casually avoid him.They wont even consider his name for any tasks.And if you people are going to think that this clown has shattered the ADMK votebank and this clown has spoiled actor Vijayakanth's reputation,then either you are too naive in politics or too adamant in not believing the reality.Because of his awkward campaign,only he lost his reputation.This is fact.And he is at his witty best,this fellow is mocking the movie of the biggest Superstar in Tamil Cinema.What a shame!!!.

Honestly speaking BJP doesn't have an existence in TN.This time,they MIGHT make an impact.In Nagercoil constituency,Pon.Radhakrishnan might get more votes and there is a slight chance for him to win.But its not as easy as some people think.In the recently concluded parliamentary elections,he came second in Kanniyakumari constituency(in which polled the highest number of votes from Nagercoil).But last time,3 candidates were against him and all the 3 were christian(Helen Davidson(DMK, who won),Benjamin(Communist,not sure of the name), Austin(DMDK).This time he is facing hindu candidates only.And I guess the parties gave ticket to Hindu Nadars,which might affect his chances of victory.But still he is a relatively worthy candidate.If he wins,then its going to create history.But still its too difficult for the BJP to make its presence felt in these elections is what I think.

That's it friends.All said and done,let us hope for a non-DMK govt.I am able to feel an anti-DMK wave,which should obviously result in the return of 'The Mummy' with thumping majority.But we have to wait one more day to know who is really going to be the CM of TN,because sometimes some polls are unpredictable.

2G Spectrum - The Kanimozhi Link

Don't read the above statements in Rajni style.They are not from any Rajni movie.These are the punch-lines uttered by 'Kavithayini'(poetess) Kanimozhi,who is a DMK MP(Rajya Sabha MP) and daughter of honorable CM of Tamil Nadu Mr.Karunanidhi.Let me first explain the reasons for such dialogs and then get into these punchlines.

By this time,atleast 90% of online users,might be knowing what Raja did in spectrum allocation.He gave spectrum to companies like Swan Telecom at throw away prices and those companies sold the stakes for a greater price.That is,Raja gave spectrum at low prices,when there were bids for a greater price.This caused an estimated loss of around 1.76lakh crore to the exchequer(govt in this case).After media went all against him,the Congress top brass realized the seriousness of the issue and finally it forced Raja to quit and later on,Raja was arrested.The inquiry still goes on.This is the brief flashback.What's new here?The latest star in this issue is Kanimozhi.From where does the connectivity between Kanimozhi,Kalaignar TV and Raja comes in this issue?

It is learnt that,an unsecured loan of Rs.206.25 crore was given to Kalaignar Tv by a company called,the Cineyug Films.From where does this money come and what's the reason for supplying an unsecured loan,that too a TV channel,which is a mouth-piece of the ruling party?Shahid Balwa,the promoter of DB Reality groups and Swan Telecom,is the one who actually transferred this amount.It was to this Swan Telecom,Raja gave the spectrum licenses for some 1500+ crore.Then,this Swan Telecom sold 45% of its holdings for an amount of around 4,200 crore.For this,the DB groups has paid some 209 crores to the Kalaignar Tv.How?

Balwa transferred this 209 crores to Kusegaon Fruits and Vegetables,owned by Asif Balwa and Rajiv Agarwal.They inturn transferred it to Cineyug Films.This is how the unsecured loan of 200+ crores was given to Kalaignar Tv by the Cineyug.

These are the allegations.No wonder,the Sarkaria Commission,some 35 yrs ago, described the DMK men as the masters of scientific corruption.

The DMK people hit back recently, by saying that the loan was paid back.But it is said that,they repaid the loan only after the CBI started its interrogation on this issue.So,it means,to escape from legal proceedings they paid the money back.What has Kanimozhi got to do with all these things?

She holds a stake of around 20% in Kalaignar Tv.For this the CBI had filed the chargesheet against Kanimozhi.The CBI claims that she is the 'brain' behind the Kalaignar TV and she had been in regular touch with Raja regarding the launch of the Kalaignar Tv.So the CBI strongly believes that Kanimozhi is a main accused in the 2G spectrum issue and it(CBI) opposes the bail plea of Kanimozhi.

But what her lawyer Ram Jethmalani argues for her?He claims that it was Raja who has to be held responsible and for the funds transferred,only the Board of directors can alone be held for criminal liability.In this case,Mr.Sharad Kumar,the Managing Director of Kalaignar Tv,will only be responsible(if going by Mr.Jethmalani's argument).He too has a 20% stake in Kalaignar Tv.Kanimozhi has a 20% stake.Whats the big difference?What kind of human being this Jethmalani is?The BJP is going great guns against the DMK and Congress in the spectrum issue.They even stalled the entire winter session last year,demanding a JPC probe.Of-course every party,that is not the part of UPA,demanded a JPC and the entire opposition was united in stalling the parliament.This cost an estimated loss of around 171 crore.This fellow,Ram Jethmalani is a BJP MP.He was given the Rajya Sabha ticket by the BJP.To become MP,he used the BJP and now is defending Kanimozhi in the worst possible manner.

He claims that women,old people and children should be granted bail.What if Kanimozhi eats 'kali' in jail?If the CBI and the other legal organizations feel that she has to be arrested,then she has to be.His lame claim is that,she is targeted just because she is the daughter of Karunanidhi.I don't know how this happens.Someone who joins Karunanidhi or his family members,also behaves like him.Some months back Karunanidhi said,"Raja is targeted because he is a dalit,because he is not a brahmin'.Thank God,atleast Jethmalani didn't bring caste in this issue. Mr.Jethmalani,for your kind info,she is targeted not because he is Karunanidhi's daughter,but because she holds 20% stake in the Kalaignar Tv and that Kalaignar Tv is the one which allegedly receive the 200+ crore bribe.I don't know why BJP provides tickets to such people.He is definitely a huge embarrassment to the BJP.It's a mistake of BJP to give him an MP seat.If we question this,he will give a cool answer that its his profession.To safeguard the corrupt and criminal is what his profession?

Kanimozhi has 20% stakes and her name was included in the chargesheet.But Dayalu Ammal,Karunanidhi's wife(not Kanimozhi's mother),has 60% stake in Kalaignar Tv and her name was not included in the chargesheet.What's the logic behind this?If she is also involved in this issue,then she too should be sent to jail. One lady reporter questioned Karunanidhi recently about Kanimozhi's chargesheet,for which,he replied that being a woman reporter,don't ask such cruel(heartless) questions.But sources say that,he said,"some ladies doesn't have a heart at all,you too?".But later on it was published differently as mentioned above.(For source you can check Junior Vikatan Kazhugar section).So if his family members are taken on legally,it means the authorities are ruthless,cruel,heartless etc.But when it comes for Jayalalitha,everything should go as per the law.What a man we have as the CM of this state.

Now let us come back to the punchlines :D.Kanimozhi gave some bold interviews like "am not an easy target,prepared for the worst,will fight legally" etc.I think there is a reason behind these statements.CBI or ED(Enforcement Directorate) or any other legal authorities didn't arrest Kanimozhi till now.And her bail plea comes for hearing on May 14th,exactly a day after the counting.So I think,some assurance was given to her and ruling party that she will not be arrested at any cost.Knowing the outcome of the inquiries,Kanimozhi has boldly uttered these statements it seems.So the DMK believes they will come back to power again and by using the congress they can save Kanimozhi and her family members.

I have been following this spectrum issue for the past 2+ yrs.Only in the recent past,after the Supreme Court slammed the CBI and the PM for their lethargic attitude in the 2G issue,the inquiry is brisk.It appears as if everything is happening properly and honestly.It's really tough to believe that CBI is handling a case honestly. Some say,the CBI is being controlled by the Supreme Court and the SC monitors the 2G issue.The SC has been doing a great job,especially after Mr.Kapadia became the Chief Justice of India(CJI).But still,I am unable to believe that the probe is carried out honestly.If you recollect the recent history of CBI,you will not find fault with me for thinking like this.But still,the recent developments appears as if everything is proceeding in the right direction.If its true,then I will also be happy.

There are allegations against Sharad Pawar,Ajit Pawar,P Chidambaram etc that they too are involved in the 2G scam.DMK claims that,why these leaders are not targeted and everytime the target is a DMK member?Good question Mr.Karunanidhi :D.Honestly speaking,Chidambaram should be knowing somany things about this 2G scam.He was the then finance minister and the CBI should probe him thoroughly.Like this the congress leaders are not at all in the picture and only the DMK members are exposed.Such proceedings only makes me doubt,whether this probe is an honest one or its just a congress strategy to keep the DMK under pressure?

But,if DMK is going to retain the power at the state,then the spectrum issue will be buried.If not,there is a small chance that,the guilty may be punished.But let us wait and watch the game.We can get more and more punch dialogs and family sentiment scenes soon :P.

Unfading Memories

Hello friends,in this post I would like to share some unforgettable events that I have come across.This is my 50th post in this blog.When I wrote my first post in this space,I never thought I will go for 50 posts and all.There are serious bloggers,who has written hundreds of posts,why I have seen writers who has completed more than 1000 posts and still going strong.Compared to these people,my 50 might appear like nothing to many.But,it means a lot to me(atleast to me).Blogging gives me immense pleasure and a sense of satisfaction. I have blogged lot of controversial topics and I have courted lot of controversies too,because of blogging.Though,at times such controversies troubled me a little,I was happy too.Because,when my write-ups are able to stir up a controversy among atleast a small group of people,it means that,my posts are somewhat meaningful(atleast not meaningless).And its my friends,whose constant encouragement and honest feedbacks,keeps me going.Some of my friends follow my blog regularly and some people,after following my blog,became my friends too.It's time to thank everyone who reads this blog and also to thank people who make suggest my blog to their friends.Your encouragement matters more than anything to me.Keep supporting.

Now let me get into this post.Since this is my 50th post,I want it to make it memorable one.That is the reason for choosing memories as the topic.

I have heard lot of fantasy stories about Time machine and have seen some movies about it too.I don't think Time machine will ever become a reality.We can't go back to past in reality,but,our memories can.We can think of those good olden days where we used to run like an ox during hot summer days.We can think of the pranks that we played with our friends in school/college days.Whenever I think of my past,it gives me lot of pleasure and also it scares me a little(quite natural to every individual na :P).Last month I wrote a post in this same blog,criticizing fanaticism and media-hype towards cricket.During my school days,like every kid,I too used to roam around the streets with a boost bat(signed by Sachin Tendulkar).I was just a cricket maniac those days.I will watch cricket between all the teams.I have seen WestIndies-Australia match during late nights,say upto some 3 o clock or so.I used to get permissions from my teachers by giving fake reasons(some teachers pretty well knew that am going to see score) and will go to a house in Rottikara street and will see some 1 or 2 overs.

Evening after the school gets over,a huge gang from my school will be in that house only.There was a guy in that house,we used to call him Kutty Anna(I dont even know whether this is his real name :-)).We used to chat well and we will give running commentaries with him.His mom will give us coffee,butter-milk,juice etc to us(depending on the climate :-))How sweet na?Mom means generally sweet only.No wonder, Na.Muthukumar wrote these lines,"Pangaali pakkathu veettukkum serthu samaikkira anbu ingu vaazhum"(meaning- the habit of cooking to neighbours too still prevails in TN) in the movie Sivaji.

I still remember the day,when we spoiled the proposal plans of a guy.The guy cursed us and went off,he said, "nee propose panrappovum idhe maari thaan da nadakkum"(means - the same will happen to u when u propose).Poor chap :P.In my town(Tindivanam),every year from April 14 - 21,there will be celebrations in Lord Anjaneya's temple.Special poojas will be performed(Chithirai special).And it was called as Latchadeepam.On this occassion,there will be lot of shops with toys,circus events,street dance,karagattam,dramas etc.And its also summer vacation time.So families,kids will prefer this event and there will be a mad rush in streets near the temple.In such events,definitely there will be lot of gangs to do some mischiefs and definitely I will be with my gang(participation is more important na :P).In city,even though I could find some events like this,am not able to get the excitement which I used to get in my town.

I grew up listening MGR-Sivaji songs(generally black and white old songs).I used to listen to Sivaji's Thiruvilayadal audio cassette daily.I used to buy lot of cassettes those days.Atleast 3 per month.Cost of an empty cassette was Rs.20 and for recording they will charge Rs.25.The reason for this is,I will select the songs and will give it to the audio shop(Arunprakash Digital Audio... is the shop name).3 cassettes per month is definitely something big,because I was not earning those days and have to depend on my father for every single rupee.I will make savings and will buy cassettes :D.

Nowadays many consider having a purse,bike key,camera mobile,ATM card etc, in pockets as a matter of pride,but those days I considered keeping pen in my pocket as a matter of pride.The pen will be in pocket from morning to night and I will hardly use it for any purpose :P.I still remember the day,when our Ragothman Sir(commonly called AP sir),was teaching about Russian revolution,I was writing Rajnikanth's punch dialogs from the movie Baba,based on my friend SaravanaKumar's request.It will be real sin,if I don't mention the incident,in which I was caught by my P.E.T sir,for shouting in bad words(and it would be a bigger sin,if I mention the words here :P).Those days I went to Gingee(Senji) from Tindivanam in cycle.26+26=52kms up and down.And I was riding doubles,with my friend Arun Kumar sitting in the career.In city life, I don't know how many are ready to atleast imagine this.

Politics has always played a vital role in my life.Since I was in small town,I could see so many political activities directly.My father too used to tell me lot of political informations(had he known I would writie politics in blog,he wouldn't have told all those things to me :P).How can I forget my Hindi Teacher Mr.Muthayyah Mudaliar?He was the one who encouraged me a lot(both in learning Hindi and also in discussing public issues and politics).Truly he is one of my role model.Everytime I think of people like him, my mind says,"we should lead a moral life like this man"(this doesn't mean I am a 100% uthaman :P,but still I am a uthaman to some extent atleast :D).At times I used to talk against western culture.I have bashed drinks,parties,discos etc..so many times.For this attitude,this man is definitely one of the reasons.His thoughts influenced me to some extent.He is physically no more today,but he still lives in his good deeds.

Not many in this city are interested in knowing politics.They just say,'politics is a crap and u r a boring idiot,who speaks lot of politics'.People,you should know whats happening around you.Today's events may become history tomorrow.We can contribute atleast to the least possible extent to the future history,so that it inspires the future generations too.Only when we discuss about something,we will get to know a lot about it. This doesn't mean,we should keep on talking politics for all the 24 hrs,but we should not hesitate to discuss politics for some 15 mins or 30 mins,like how we discuss about cricket and cinema.

My 2 yrs in Pondicherry is the most important part of my life.Actually I learnt a lot in Petit Seminaire(the school in which I studied in Pondy).I might not have learnt anything extraordinary in terms of biology or physics(this statement neither means there was no opportunity nor I failed to utilize it.Its a general comment), but the school and the professional atmosphere taught me one important lesson - "Don't believe anyone and also don't depend on anyone".I have to confess the fact that,I am still in touch with some good friends who studied with me there.The point is I never thought so many people might remember me,still guys found me and are in touch with me.

It was in the year 2005,I came over to Chennai.Started understanding what city life means and am still not able to understand perfectly :P.Everyone might be knowing that am a product of SRM college(oh no I am just a student SRM college and in no way am related to Pariventhar or IJK(India Jananayaga Katchi) party :P).Whenever I think of SRM,first thing that comes to my mind is the 20 mins electric train journey from Tambaram to Potheri.Some 10 days back,when I was going to Chengalpet for a marriage,I happened to cross my college(obviously I have to cross,as it is in that bypass road only).So many incidents sighting,fighting,chatting etc flashed in my mind for few minutes.I love my college and college life more than anything else,because in all the 4 yrs of my college life,I was never caught into a controversy and had no enemies(or traitors :P) at all.

But after college,for some months,life was like hell.Too many problems and lot of ISSUES(not many will understand the significance of this word :P).But luck smiled on me too and yes I got selected in Cognizant.After my college days,I never thought I will get back such a happy tension-free life again.But thank God,I got it again :D.In cognizant academy,the first 4 months,I felt like being in college only.Lot of friends(all in my age group),exams,satires on trainer(more like a teacher :P) etc.,gave me a college feel for sure,though I prefer my college life over academy life.So many differences I can point out between my college life and cognizant academy life,but the main difference is,in college my father paid and played and in academy the company paid and again I played :D.The main reason for missing my academy life is the work style that we had :D.Coming at 9 and leaving exactly at 6.In these 9 hrs playing fun games,teasing others etc these were the main activities and we got salary too :-).Yes of-course,knowingly or unknowingly,I MIGHT have learnt something :P,so academy life is also worthy :-).Will I ever get such a life style again :P.Not so easy is the answer :D.

I actually wanted to write more about memories.I wanted to write about the prank calls I made to my friends through my landline phone(thank God,those days cell phones were a matter of luxury),the 1 hr chat after school, with my friend in bus stand daily,the street fights in which I actively participated,the experience of watching cinemas,my scout camp,so many other pranks with my friends etc.But I can't write about every incident in my life like school,college,profession etc as I am not writing an auto-biography here.

Though I have shared my personal experiences in this post,I believe many might have come acress all these stuff.I started off with time machine.If time machine becomes a reality,life will lose its charm and thrill.I am just quotnig the known analogy here.A pretty girl in a portrait,remains pretty forever(atleast as long as the portrait is not spoiled).She doesn't get aged and she never dies.So past remains beutiful and memorable,as long as we are unable to go to the past.But still like every other individual,I would love to travel some 12 years back.Life was so cool and joyful.The word hot meant only heat due temperature those days to me.No facebook,no linkedin,no orkut,no NOKIA,but still we all stayed connected.That was definitely an awesome life.I would like to end up with the following dialog of Writer Sujatha,

"வாழ்க்கையிலேயும் VCR la இருக்கிற மாதிரி ஒரு rewind button இருந்தா எவ்வளோ நல்லா இருக்கும்"

Thala Ajith Kumar - Birthday Special Post

Next week,exactly on 1st of May, 'Thala' Ajith Kumar will be celebrating his birthday.It has been quite a while since I wrote something about him.I have posted about him just once in this space.I just want to write something on the occasion of his birthday.Yes as a fan,I want to write a post about him.

I became a Thala fan only after watching the movie Vaali.His acting was 'just awesome' in Vaali.After Vaali,he gave a series of good movies,like Amarkkalam, Mugavari, Kandukonden Kandukonden etc.Some other factors like his entry and survival in the cine industry without any godfather,increased my respect for Thala.Moreover,I was in town those days,there he had a huge mass.

I used to watch all his movies first day itself.When Attagasam released,it was exactly on November 11,2004,I was in Cuddalore.I couldn't see a possibility of getting a ticket for Attagasam there.It released in Cuddalore New Cinema theater.Actually I was residing in Pondicherry at that time and I went to Cuddalore to celebrate Diwali with my relatives.But I convinced myself that its not possible to get a ticket there,so I returned to Pondicherry that day itself and bought black tickets in Pondicherry Balaji theater.It released in Pondicherry Balaji and Raman theaters.I was such a huge fanatic of Thala those days.

Infact when Amarkkalam released,I used to wear a chain in my neck.I got lot of scoldings from my parents for this :P,who cares,'Thala' rocks.I used to buy original audio cassettes of all Thala movies and nowadays cds.I have a collection of cds from Paramasivan to Asal :P and only exception was Aalwar.Once there was a heated argument(to be frank - a low class fight :D) between us and Vijay fans.As usual,I was at my best shouting and a professor took away our id cards(Thalaikkaga idhu kooda panna maattoma enna :P).In my college notice-board our seniours pasted Aazhwar promotional stills and all.On Feb 11th,2005 Ji released and after that only on January 13th,2006(Paramasivan released).One year I waited patiently and went to see Thala on screen with full excitement(theater was Nanganallur Velan :-)).

I was an active member in ajithfans yahoo groups and orkut Ajith Kumar main community.I used to check every update by Mr.Senthil Anand,an active member of Ajith main community and now the owner of StarAjith Website .I will also be fighting with Vijay fans in Tamil Cinema community :D.Such a huge Thala fanatic I was.

But nowadays I don't have that much craze towards Thala(or anyother artiste).Honestly speaking,his continuous selection of bad movies has disappointed so many fans(including me).Right from 2002 to 2011,in these 9 years,if we count genuine blockbusters of Ajith means,its only Villain,Varalaru and Billa.His other movies like Attagasam,Paramasivan,Kireedom etc did a fair business though.What really makes me wonder is,he is in the industry for around 18 yrs and still he is not understanding what the audience really expect from him..If we observe his films in the recent past,his movies with in-form directors were received well and the ones with newbies and outdated guys were not.

Now some people might bring in Perarasu's name.He had 2 consecutive hits and his movie with Ajith was not upto mark.His Thirupathi(a crap) had a decent run in B and C centers.Still it didn't take him to the next bigger league.His Red( another crap) had a very good run in some rural parts.In my town Red ran for some 40 days.Now u need not get puzzled.40 days in a B center town like mine is definitely a big deal.But Red created a very bad name for Ajith and Red was immediately followed by a horrible Raja.He should compare the action movies like Billa or Villain with these movies.A Billa or Villain was a huge hit in all centers.The thing is people expect atleast a decent entertainer from Thalai.God knows the reason for his selection of movies like Aazhwar or Anjaneya.

He has a huge fan-following.He is a good Actor too.The above scene from Vaali still remains fresh in my memory.Another splendid performance that immediately comes to my mind means its from Varalaru,especially his walk after his mother's death,man its an extra-ordinary performance.One really needs guts to act in this role,especially in Kollywood.That too with the kind of fan following he has,he deserves a huge round of applause for acting in that dancer role.Its like he is a man,who has some feminine characters like walk and looks etc.This was the scene I was mentioning.Watch it from 8.17 seconds exactly.

I can go on posting scenes from Mugavari or Amarkkalam or Villain etc.The thing is he is not concentrating on cinema is what I feel(as a fan).Immediately after Kireedom(a good movie),he gave thunderous Billa.But after that for 1 year no release from him and exactly afer an year,he had a release in the name of Aegan.Aegan is a below average movie.Had Ajith released that movie within 5 or 6 months after Billa,it could have had a decent run and he could have done another movie that year itself.When u make ur fans wait for an year and end up with some half baked stuff like Aegan,it will obviously end up as a flop at Box office.

Lot of reliable sources said that Ajith will be working with director Gautham Menon for his film with Sivaji productions,immediately after Aegan.But something happened and Saran was named the director.What made Ajith to go for Saran?Saran's last movie that made a moderate business means,it was Attagasam.After that his Vattaram,Idhayathirudan and all flopped miserably.They were absolutely pathetic hopeless movies too.After he committed Aasal with Saran,his Modhi Vilayadu released.That itself gave me the result of Aasal. Modhi Vilayadu is one of the worst movies I have ever seen.This clearly shows that Saran himself is completely out of form.Ajith too didn't have back-to-back hits that time and infact his Aegan was a flop.So it was really a bad decision to work with Saran at that point of his career and he has done such mistakes so many times.Personal friendship is different from profession :-).

Again his Aasal was a colossal flop.Immediately after Aasal,he was about to work with Gautham Menon again.This was confirmed by even Gautham Menon and Dhayanidhi Azhagiri(Producer).All of a sudden he went to participate in race.Gautham Menon as usual bad mouthed about Ajith once in a while and gained lot of publicity.Whether Gautham Menon is egoistic or not,whether his recent release is a hit or not,thats a different issue.He is just too good in using technicians and is really an intelligent director.He knows how to satisfy the masses without adding the so called 'mass-elements'.A stylish director like Gautham Menon with a smart hero like Ajith will do wonders at box office.

Of-course racing is his personal interest,I can't criticize him for this.But after committing a movie,if he is going to participate in race means,that really questions his passion for cinema.Aasal released on February5h,2010.Now its April 25th,2011.Till now no release from Thala.There were talks that his Mankatha would release on May1st,his birthday.But now it seems it is postponed to Independence Day(am not sure,there are also news from fans club and fans websites that it might release in June or July).

Thala should understand this.He should release atleast 2 movies per year.Then only he will be in the limelight. He should sort out the issues in working with top(in-form directors).He should avoid selecting utter crap movies like Aazhvar or Jana or Raja etc.This is more than enough.If he takes care of these things itself, he will be always in the top.

But one can never write him off.He is a confident person and is known for making unexpected come-backs. Vairamuthu's lines perfectly suits him "erindhu pona saambalil irundhu ezhundhu parakkum phoenix pola meendum meendum parappen"(meaning - will rise from ashes often like a phoenix).Also he will not sing praises to any politicians to gain publicity.His interviews or stage talks will be honest and bold.He has courted lot of controversies by his "Next Superstar" interview. I really liked the way he answered about it in his Kalaignar Tv interview.He neither apologised for that interview nor he accused the media and people for the consequences.He candidly said,everyone would like to become no.1 in their respective fields and he too said the same.When Rajni said that that the superstar title was not permanent for him,the media went crazy and it published stories that Rajni crowned Vikram as the next superstar.Rajni never announced Vikram as his heir or next superstar.He appreciated Vikram for his acting.Ajith said,"when Rajni himself says the title is not permanent to him,why should I not try for it?".

Accept it or not,everyone wants to become a Rajni in Tamil Cinema.And Ajith expressed it candidly.He just said he was misunderstood by the people.He didn't even say he was misquoted.Aprreciate Thala for this candid speech.With these many good qualities,if Thala acts under good directors and proper script,he will be in the top.I never felt a decline in his fan base,though there is a disappointment among them.The kind of opening his movies get every time is not something everyone can get.No wonder distributors call him 'The King of Opening'

All said and done,now Thala has teamed up with Venkat Prabhu-Yuvan Shankar Raja,which has been a successful combo in the recent past.Venkat Prabhu's Chennai28 and Saroja were big hits and his Goa,though didn't work out commercially,it was worth a watch for sure.So after a long long time Thala Ajith has teamed up with an in-form director.Let us hope everything turns out well and Thala makes a stunning come back with his Mankatha :-).
