My Dad beat me to it...

2011-04-12T13:10:00.000-07:00

When I was living in Germany last Spring, one of the fashionable pieces that I fell in love with was leather sneakers. They were everywhere. Unfortunately I wasn't able to buy a pair at the time, which I now regret. My Dad visited me while I was there. Leather sneakers not only caught my eye, but his as well. He sent me a picture not long ago of the leather sneakers he had bought (top picture). I can't lie, when I saw the picture I was jealous! Turns out, Daddy has a keen fashion sense! Soon enough, I hope to buy a pair of these fantastic leather sneakers!

MIA Number 2

Jacket: Aero,Dress:H&M, Leggings:Target, Boots: Dillards

All I really want is EVERY SINGLE THING from the JCrew catalogue. PAHleese. I’m probably going to have to copy their outfits for the REST of my life. Can you tell I’m a little excited?

I’ve finally whipped out my jean jacket that I’ve had since high school. Glad jean is back in full force. Also, I want to apologize for being MIA for so long. Life has just been busy…you know how that goes.

OH and I officially have about 1 month left of college. So I am freaking out MAJOR..but still trying to live up my last days here in Moscow!

Hello my pretties. How have you been?

I am having a fabulous day. Yesterday our sorority got to serenade out dates for the upcoming dance, Cream Rose.

We had a wonderful time. It's one of my favorite events in the whole year. I'm taking one of my favorite senior boys to our dance, where i'm sure we will have a ball! Pictures will come after this weekend.

Guess what? I only have 38 days til' I graduate. Holy crap, I know. Time is flying by. I'm trying to get the most out of every day while I still can because I know I will never get this time or experience back!

Hump Day

2011-03-30T13:50:00.000-07:00

Sweater: Dress: INC, Sandals: StyleCo.
Hi ya'll! Happy hump day!
Let me start by saying that I have never been a maxi-girl. I own two, one in this photo and one my mother bought me that I have never worn in public. For some reason I don't feel like I have the body or confidence to wear them, except this one! I love, love, love this dress. The weather in Moscow was finally sunny and for THREE days! That's almost unheard of for this town!
Everybody enjoy your day :)

Jacket: Alfani, Button-up: Banana Republic, Pants: Zara, Shoes: Lucky Brand
Hello, hello! When I was in San Francisco I was fortunate to do a great deal of shopping. I got my pants, shoes and shirt there, all of which I am in love with! Coral seems to be a big color for spring wear as does bright colors.
We've had three days of sunshine in our college town and people are pumped. It's 50 degrees and people are in shorts ;) hahaha. It's a joy to look out my front window and see fraternity men throwing a Frisbee and playing basketball! Oh la la!

Vegas!

2011-03-23T12:30:00.000-07:00

After a wonderful senior year spring break I am back up North and going, going. I am playing the catch up game with school and trying to get on top of my stuff. These pictures are all from our time in Vegas. I'm going to explain a little about each.
From the top, left to right:
1. Our group minus two in the airport getting ready to head to VEGAS! Me, Katie, Regan, Nichole, Hailey, Liza & Taylor.
2. 1st night in da club at Lavo. Needless to say we got spoiled and got a little crazy!
3. The next morning the ladies and I headed to the Paris to enjoy a lovely breakfast on the patio with a wonderful view of the Bellagio.
4. Poor little Alex got sick the day we left for Vegas, so she came a day late (she's in the middle and has also been spotted on the blog). When I'm in Vegas cruising through the Bellagio is a must. I enjoy seeing the seasonal decorations! The picture behind us is made from dried flowers and was pretty amazing.
5. All the ladies dolled up in front of our hotel before hitting the town that night!
6. In front of the Paris on my last night in Vegas!

I have some more photos to post from the second half of my spring break, spent in San Francisco and fashion photos which will come soon! Hope everyone is doing great!

xoxo,
Logan

30x30 RECAP

2011-03-18T12:12:00.001-07:00

I finally made it through 30x30 (that is 30 outfits in 30 days with the same 30 items of clothing). If you want to see the clothes I picked out for it go here. It feels good to finally get my clothes back!!! WAHOOO! But, 30 for 30 really made me get creative and challenged me. Now I know I can put together multiple outfits with my clothes now…which makes me excited!!

Oh, and I wanted to mention that I survived spring break in Las Vegas and it was a blast. I have pictures coming for ya’ll to seee!!

And now for FBFF:

In the beginning –So far, what have been the 5 hardest blogging lessons you’ve learned?
1. Don’t compare your blog too much to other peoples. When I first started blogging I couldn’t help but compare compare compare. I would look at other blogs and wish mine looked just like theirs and that I did exactly what they did. Now, I am a lot more accepting of my blog. I am just doing it for fun and for myself and if people like what I do then SCORE! But, I have realized its not a competition and I don’t need to compare to other people.

2. Leave sincere comments & comment back. When commenting on other blogs it is important to be sincere. Nothing bothers me more than when people say ‘Please become my follower.’ I follow blogs because I enjoy them or I received a wonderful comment from that person. Commenting is a wonderful networking tool and can be so useful as long as the comments are real. Also, don’t forget to comment back!!

3. Get creative. I have learned so much from blogging and that it can be my creative outlet. I have designed layouts, get to take photos, edit them, and write. I also get to put outfits together that maybe I wouldn’t have before and I get to SPOT people when they are looking amazing! Its awesome.

4. You don’t have to partake in every single blogging event. Ok. there are about a bajillion blogging events out there. Like 30 for 30, FBFF, Paperdoll Project…I could go on and on and on. It is so great that there are so many because any time you feel like you are getting bored you can do a project. However, don’t think you need to do them all. If I tried…I would die and not have time for real life. So, just do the ones that interest you and don’t overwhelm yourself.

5. It’s not a job (well not for me) SO HAVE FUN! Seriously. Blogs are for fun so don’t take your blog too seriously unless it really is your job!

DAY 30-Finally!!

2011-03-13T08:20:00.001-07:00

Skirt: Forever 21, Boots & Socks: Target, Top: NewLook

I can’t believe I finally made it! This process was sooo intense! At first it seemed so simple—just 30 items for 30 days. But, then it got kinda difficult! However, I really liked the creativity that I could have during it and it made me think of so many different ways to put together my closet.

Right when I put the rest of my clothes back in my closet I got rid of a whole bunch of stuff. I started purging…. Now, I’m ready for more colorful clothes!!! YAY!!

Just in time for LAS VEGAS for spring break!! I cannot wait!

And now for a little Vegas inspiration :)

See you in a week!

Jeans: Forever, Shoes: Payless, Blazer: Forever 21, Turtle Neck: Gap, Scarf: London, Jewelry: Target

Yeah call me Miss Procrastinator. I apparently like to take pictures of myself, edit them, and put them online instead of doing real life things. (I AM SO WEIRD)

Every so often I think to myself…woah I have about 100 posts of me just standing there with a different outfit…am I a total weirdo? haha but then I see all the other people who do it too and I don’t feel so bad.

Oh, the fashion blog world…just so funny! Now I’m off to study for a real test in the real world!

2011-03-06T14:13:00.000-08:00

Jacket: Oleg Cassini Collection, Dress: Two-One Two New York, Leggings: INC, Stilettos: N.Y.L.A
Hard to believe it's Sunday already. This weekend flew by. Dance on Friday was a success and we got a Vandal basketball victory last night! Good news: one week from today I will be flying to Vegas with eight close girlfriends! YESSSSSSSSSS. I cannot wait. But, have to get through two tests, four papers and some other things first.

Onto my outfit: I can't get enough of these leggings, pumps and trench coat! What do you all think?

Oh and my hair looks freakishly weird in the first photo. I think it's the lighting but it looks weird. Trust me, it doesn't look so two-toned like that in real life! Also, the title of this post is for a shout out to my hometown. Our school colors growing up were red, black and white!

FBFF: Beauty Products

2011-03-04T14:53:00.001-08:00

Jeggings: JC Penny, Top: Walmart, Cardi: JCrew, Scarf: from my mom, Shoes: Payless, Jewelry:Forever 21, gifts
This weeks FBFF questions are all about beauty products…which are so fun! So, now I get to share a little of my fave fave products!
1. What's your favorite drug store makeup product and your favorite higher-end product? Practically everything I own is from the drug store. They are my go-to places for make-up. My absolute favorite drug store make-up is Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse. I just love the way it feels on my skin and how light it is. I don’t like the feeling of foundation one bit so Dream Matte works perfect for me.Favorite high end product would be Benefit-Hulu bronzer—that stuff is amazing and gives the perfect glow. Oh and I am a sucker for MAC eyeshadows…they are so pretty!

2. Is there one type of product that is your go-to, can't live without? Definitely my Rimmel London eyeliner in Rich Brown. I love drugstore products and this one is my favorite for every day wear. It isn’t as harsh as black and looks much better with my coloring.

3. What's the best hair product you've ever used? hmmm…I don’t know if I can answer this. I have tried so many hair products. But, my favorite is when hairstylists put Moroccan oil on my hair to make it silky/shiny. oooh its so soft, but I haven’t ever bought it. Maybe someday.

4. Fess up, what's the worst beauty look you've tried to rock and lookback at now with a little shame or apprehension that you actually did that? Well, I used to have Halloween colored hair. Remember when everyone was getting shadows underneath their hair? Well I did that, only with black. The top of my hair was a gross orange color. And there you go…half orange, half black….Halloween hair! YUCK

5. When it comes to beauty products, we all use the same basic products. What do you use that helps show off your personal flare and personality? My awesome Just Bitten lipstick in Gothic. It’s great and I just love red lips :)
