First, we take the laminated map and mount it to backing board that allows you to insert locating push pins on the map. It also makes the map firm and enhances the ink and makes the map look better.

Next, we mount the map in a very nice Gold colored frame. The frame is made for wall mounting and has a wire on the back that allows you to hang the framed map on any suitable wall with a nail or some other item that will hold up about 10 pounds.

Last, we carefully pack the map complete in a packing system we have developed to insure that the framed map arrives without damage. Additionally we insure the shipment just in case a forklift falls on it.

Today is the day that has the world celebrating 20 years with the World Wide Web, and even though not everyone grasps the distinction between the internet and the World Wide Web, even fewer know about the original intent of Tim Berners-Lee’s invention.

In “Information Management: A Proposal“, the very first figure shows nodes with arrows between them, illustrating links — fitting for a document describing hypertext:

But look closer; the arcs have labels, describing binary relations! And the nodes are not only documents, but also databases and real life objects!

This is what the World Wide Web is all about — neither the Semantic Web nor Linked Data are afterthoughts, they are actually part of the original vision.

So now that you know, go fetch — it has taken us twenty years to get to where we are today, let’s make sure it doesn’t take that long to get the rest of the way…

While eating at a schmancy sushi place in the Venetian, I noticed a Nordic looking fellow when he pulled out what looked like the result of an iPhone accidentally knocking up a CB radio mic. The bastard device in question was the Neonode N2, a cellular phone of Swedish citizenship with no carrier in the US yet. At first, I thought this might be the greatest thing in the world, but since CES I have heard gripes a plenty. Wired associate editor Joe Brown told me that the voicemail was impossible to find and someone else threw in that the battery life was the opposite of awesome. Still, it's a nascent platform and if given the time to develop could be the phone every slickster at a loud Hollywood bar pulls out while trying to "make love to" intoxicated wannabe actresses. After they all get tired of it, the normals might enjoy it as well.

*HUGE SIDENOTE...I mistakenly referred to the iPhone as "pressure sensitive." This is a complete lie. The iPhone is not, in fact, a resistive technology but rather a capacitive one. Whenever your finger touches or comes close to touching the screen it disturbs the electrical field like a jerk neighbor. I apologize to Apple and Science for this fatal blunder for which I shall never forgive myself.
