Give me a break! Name one President who HASN'T had an affair (discovered or undiscovered)??? The MOST powerful man in the world has ALOT of sex appeal and to the victor goes the spoils! I'm not saying adultery is right, however, let's be REALISTIC... there are literally millions of women around the world (married and unmarried) who would have sex with the President simply because he IS the President. Like the saying goes, the only difference between a famous man and an average man is the number of his options.

A recent article on CBS News reported that more and more newlyweds are cheating on their new spouses. Researchers at the University of Washington Center for the Study of Health and Risk Behaviors found that roughly 20% of men and 15% of women under the age of 35 cheated on their spouses. These percentages are up from 15% and 12% respectively, 15 years prior. I bet the percentages are a lot higher. Stats on adultery are very hard to collect, since most people who are unfaithful don't admit to it. The article goes on to give several reasons why... such as intimacy problems, the Internet, power struggles, heavy drinking, communication issues, the sudden adjustment from 'me' to 'we', and commitment problems.

I agree, for the most part that all the reasons are contributing to adultery... however, I believe that lack of sex is probably the biggest reason

Intimacy problems = no sex

Looking at Internet porn (pissed off wife) = no sex

Power struggles (pissed off wife) = no sex

Heavy drinking (pissed off wife) = no sex

Communication issues (pissed off wife) = no sex

Sudden adjustment of realizing that you are forever committed to someone who won't give you sex = no sex!

More and more young married people are not standing for no sex and bad feelings in their marriages. However, instead of turning the blame to where it squarely belongs... on the shoulder's of the partner who is acting badly.. let's all talk around the issue and not look at it for what it is. I guarantee that divorce rates are going to only climb as people, in this 'it's all about me' society, suddenly awaken that their sex lives depends SOLELY on their partner. And if their partner is purposefully withholding sex because they don't feel like it for days, weeks, months +++... then they will simply go get it from someone else. Plus, this other person (the affair partner) makes the married man (or woman) feel good about themselves, feel wanted, feel loved... too bad the married man's wife (or husband) wasn't capable of give the cheating partner those feelings - if he/she had, then most likely the cheating husband/wife would have never cheated on them to begin with. But, no! We can't SAY that!! That would be blaming the VICTIM! And in this society of 'victims' that is socially unacceptable. So in fact, the victims are actually perpetrating their own 'victimization'

I came across this article in the Tennessean by columnist Saritha Prabhu. In fact, I stole the her title! Well, I AM giving her credit for her well written article. Here are a few excerpts worth repeating..

"Why do accomplished women stay in their marriage with their unfaithful husbands? Indeed, why have Silda Spitzer, Elizabeth Edwards, David Vitter's wife, Ted Haggard's wife and others stayed on?" Duh, because she loves him and she is probably aware that there will always be women (or men) hot for her husband... and he is only human.

OMG! The recent article on Lifestyle MSN outlined '4 "SECRETS" to a Hotter Marriage'. Holy shit... I had NO IDEA that being nice to your husband, looking nice for him, doing something fun with him, and having sex with him were (shhhh.... don't tell anyone) SECRETS! Are you serious? Do you honestly think that wives read this article and do a V8 slap to the forehead and say, "OMG, that's the secret to a hot marriage?" Call me crazy, but I have been saying this for years!!! Men are VERY simple creatures. They HAVE to feel wanted sexually by their wives or you can kiss your marriage goodbye! This article simply outlines a few ways to let your husband know that you desire him.... like flirt with him, keep yourself looking nice, do something fun with him, and have sex with him. It's too bad that acting loving and caring is now a 'secret' instead of being the 'norm'.

According to several sources (Us Magazine and N.Y Post), one half of the reality couple (Jon and Kate plus 8) has been spotted around town minus HIS wedding ring and in the company of other women. I could have predicted this! Have you seen their show on TLC? Kate is a real b__ch! She nags at him, belittles him, yells at him, and mocks his manhood on national tv! Her verbal assaults are often material for the E! show TalkSoup. Watch this clip of her ranting at Jon. She is the EXACT reason why most men have extra-marital affairs! I don't know if she is playing it up for the ratings, or worse she is toning it DOWN for the censors. Nevertheless, Jon apparently has had enough and I don't blame him.

According to an online article on msnbc.com, Senator Edwards wife vomited after Sen. Edwards CONFESSED to her about having an extra-marital affair. OMG! REALLY PEOPLE?!?? Spouses DO NOT appreciate being told! Keep your affair to yourself! Telling your spouse about your extra-martial affair is the most selfish thing you can do. YOU may feel better but you have just dropped a ton of bricks on your spouse, and her/his life will NEVER be the same. YOUR life with NEVER be the same! From that moment on your spouse will forever look at you through eyes of deceit and the mental image of you having sex with another person will cross his/her mind EVERY time you two have sex. You will live the rest of your life under a high powered microscope - every move you make will be scrutinized. Recession Hits Prostitutes Revenue

Read this quick blurb I came across in Time magazine, dated May 6, 2009, page 15....
"Turns out even sex isn't recession proof. Brothel owners in Germany, where an estimated 400,000 prostitutes operate legally, are resorting to gimmicks like price cuts, package deals and other promotions to lure penny-pinching customers. One madam says revenues at her Hanover brothel have dropped 30% in recent months. Another establishment is offering a $90.00 flat rate admission fee during daytime hours for unlimited food, drink and sex."

I bet 'free' extra-marital affairs between co-workers, neighbors, etc are on the RISE. Why? Well, financial strain leads to arguments, which leads to pissed off wives, which leads to no sex for husbands. Number two argument between married folks is over money (number one is arguing over the kids). However, because money is tighter these days adulterers must get creative as to where to go to have their affair since hotels are too expensive. Sleepwalking Man Cheats on Wife!

Well, now I've heard it all! Pretty ingenious if you ask me! Recently, a married man wrote to "Dear Prudence" on slate.com for advice. He stated that he was being treated for depression, he was in an unhappy marriage and had recently been laid off. One day he accidental took two Ambien. He assumed he was going to sleep all day, but apparently he went through the day being very productive.. mowed the lawn, cleaning, shopping, and even had sex with a woman he hardly knew! He claims he has no memory of any of that day's activities. In fact, he would not have even remembered the sex, if the other woman hadn't called and requested more sex from him! He was unsure what to do.. should he tell his 'vindictive' wife or break things off with the other woman. Duh! Of course, Dear Prudence suggested next time drink chamomile tea, break it off with the other woman, and not tell his wife.

If he is married to an unhappy and vindictive wife, then maybe a repeat performance maybe in order. Some mistakes are so good, they're worth doing twice!

Truthfully, I don't think he had drug induced amnesia, I think he just desperately wanted tell someone (even if it was Dear Prudence) about his affair, because he is feeling guilty about it. Most people involved in an extra-martial affair feel a need to share this intensely emotional and sometimes painful experience with someone - which is why so many husbands and wives confess to their partners, bad idea!

Married Folks ARE NOT Healthier than Single Folks!

I knew it! I knew it! I knew it!

I have always pondered why studies have shown that married folks are healthier than singles. It just didn't seem logical to me, since marital stress and conflict are associated with coronary disease and higher mortality risk.

New, more realistic, studies are revealing that married people are NOT healthier than singles! (Ref: Psychology Today, Nov/Dec 08, Page 93).

Single people have a much more diverse relationship portfolio. Meaning, they DO have more sexual partners, maybe not AS MUCH sex as a married person, however, they have more partners - which is biologically more in line with how we (humans) are SUPPOSE to be living!

Also, past studies did NOT take into account the HUGE amount of stress that marriage causes. Women in hostile marriages have more coronary artery disease, while men in more controlling relationships (whether they are the dominator or the one getting bossed around) have more coronary artery disease than single men. Both situations likely activate stress responses, which are known to contribute to, if not cause, an array of ailments.

Congratulations to Bruce Springsteen! The newest member of the Cheaters Club. See, I told you cheating on your spouse was as American as apple pie, baseball, and Bruce Springsteen! Interesting twist on Mr. Springsteen's story. It wasn't his wife that outed him... it was the husband, Arthur Kelly, that named Bruce as 'the other man' in Arthur's divorce case against his cheating wife, Ann C. Kelly. Arthur claims the affair happen at various times and places too numerous to mention. In case you have forgotten, Bruce has been married to Patti Scialfa for 18 years.

The Seven-Year-Itch is True! (Actually, it's a Five-Year-Itch)

Did you know that when men first meet someone they are attracted to, they release dopamine - the addiction hormone. They are actually 'addicted' to the object of their desire (hence, the term 'love-sick) for a short time. This love sick feeling eventually goes away and dopamine is replaced by oxytocin (the 'cuddling hormone'). Oxytocin is what makes for a longer relationship, usually about five years, before it too wears off. It lasts just long enough for the pair bond to raise offspring then go their separate ways (seven year itch, anyone?). Also, this is about the time a toddler would be 'off' the mother's breast milk and she should start ovulating again, thus she would be searching out another mate as well. Since, society dictates that we cannot do what nature intended for us to do, it is important for women to reconnect with their mate by shaking it up in the bedroom and be every woman that her man would naturally desire. This is usually where women fall WAY short. Tisk, tisk!

I fail to see why the public is so incredibly outraged about public officials and their infidelity. Men go into public service expressly for the power that is inheritant in a high position. These men are risk takers and achievers, and usually good looking. They possess all the qualities that make them utterly irresistible to women. There is no shortage of married and single women who would gladly have an affair with a high ranking official in order to unite his sperm with her egg and hopefully produce an offspring with his desirable qualities. Of course, she isn't think of this when she is involved an affair, but ultimately that is what drives most affairs involving Presidents, Governors, etc. Having sex with a powerful man is a powerful feeling. So, what are men to do? They are biologically programmed to have sex with every female that will allow them... Is it their fault that women are making themselves available to them, much more than the to the average 'man'? I believe that the public is so enraged, because secretly they (the public) wish it could happen the them. We don't like it when someone else is getting something we want. Politicians have it all.... money, power, beautiful wife, and now, he has a mistress too!! That is unacceptable, off with his head!! He cannot have MORE than us! Of course, I am joking. Privately, I bet most men are mentally high-fiving the Governor, after all, to the victor goes the spoils. Plus, men know darn well, that if they were Governor Gibbons and an ex-Playboy bunny was hitting on them.. that they would 'hit' that too. However, our society likes to take the high road and look down our crooked noses at others who trespass on our 'morality' - even if we secretly wish we could trod on that road traveled by those more daring and good-looking.

Another Marriage Bites the Dust

Here it is, another Hollywood marriage that is over and again I blame the wife. I speaking of Madonna and Guy Richie. A "close friend" of the estranged duo said, "Guy has been saying that they both have separate lives at the moment. Madonna spends too much time in the gym and she is obsessed with trying to look years younger than her real age. Guy feels that Madonna does not focus on him anymore."

I don't mean to beat a dead horse, but Guy has "come to the conclusion that enough is enough". Generally, men will not stay with (or he will cheat on) a woman that treats him like crap. It doesn't matter if she is a world famous, beautiful, sex symbol like Madonna or a supermodel such as Christie Brinkley.

I hope Guy doesn't go on 20/20 or The View. He will be torn apart by the feminists. I wouldn't doubt that in the coming weeks/months, we will find out that there were infidelities on both sides - Madonna has already been linked to A-Rod. However, if it is uncovered that Guy had an affair - watch out folks - that will really set the feminists off and Madonna's bad behavior will be obscured/overlooked and will fade into the black as his infidelities will take center stage on The View, etc.

Peter Cook - Unjustly Persecuted in the Court of Public Opinion

During a recent interview with Barbara Walters, Peter Cook was frank and honest about his extra martial affair with a 19 year old. All the networks and some daytime shows (The View) had great delight in tearing him apart and diminishing his explanation as 'waaa waaa waaa'. For some inexplicable reason, most women just don't GET IT. It doesn't matter if you look like a super model, if you a raving b___ch behind CLOSED doors, your man WILL cheat on you. NOBODY except a husband and wife really knows what happens (or most likely, DOESN'T happen) behind BEDROOM doors. Maybe Christie hadn't had sex with him for months, or years (believe me that DOES happen), maybe she belittled him and berated him, or worse, ignored him all together. If a man does not feel respected as a person, wanted as a lover, or needed as provider then he is RIPE for an affair with someone who DOES admire him as a person, lover, and possible provider. Apparently, the 19 year old filled all or at least some of these requirements. I do blame Christie for his affair, just as I almost always blame wives for their husband's infidelities. Lastly, if a wife is doing her job at home (making sure her husband's 'respected, wanted, and needed' cup is overflowing) then he is nearly 100% LESS likely to cheat on her. http://www.annenoble.com/
