New Hobby- Painting

Christmas Holiday 2015, was the start of my new passion. I never knew, I can do it,too. Decades ago I was lucky enough to work next to a painting studio. Many times I find myself watching the artist painters mixing colours, painting amazing landscapes, and wishing I can do it.

One stressful day, a colouring book page and a set of crayons and I got hooked...few days later I bought a paint by numbers kit with few bucks... I learnt to mix colours and get the beautiful shades of green and blues...

Finishing the project, my mind was working fast in future projects I can do...my first model, was my beautiful cat Smokey.

Knitting and Waiting

I cary arround small knitting projects I never know when I get stuck in a waiting room for more than an hour and knit one, purl few,smilling and keep an eye on other patients and the doctor's cabinet door, not to miss the doctor's call.

The doctor's nurse stopped by, admiring my work,and start chatting about crochet and knitting. Take the knitting with you next time and you will not get bored waiting to see your doctor.

Knitted White Scarf Project

Knitting is addictive some of my friends are saying and I agree. The feeling is great when I knit is even greater when every project is finished.

English is my second language, following knitting stiches instructions didn't work for me. Well last week I spend some time on You Tube thinking that I can work out from visual tutorials. The sample bellow is the result and look the way was shown.

Watching more knitting tutorials I realised that no one knit the way I do. I was embarrassed to knit in public places because was considered the old fashion way. My knitting was travelling with me. Knitting also was another source of income back home as a teenager, and even years later.

For this scarf I am using some soft cotton yarn and 4.5 size knitting needles. That's me, I don't like rules, I change stitches in process to suit me and create as I go.

My beautiful cat Smokey woke me up at 3:45am today and knit for few hours. Couple of days more and my beautiful scarf would be finished.

Knitting is one of my favourite amongst all the other bobbies I have. Yes I can knit all day and night. Knitting give me the pleasure of doing any item I like. If I want an unique dress or jumper or scarf, I can do it.

In high school I use to knit for my friends and everyone who asked me too. I start knitting when I was seven, and since then I knit all sorts of things, and use all sorts of yarns, wool, cotton, silk.

I start knitting again last Wednesday when a friend of mine asked me to start a scarf for her. Half an hour later I finished the little fluffy ball of acrylic yarn and I realised that I have to finish what I start, because of the style I use when I knit. By five a clock in afternoon I finished the beautiful scarf and I was in a kind of mood to start another project.

My mother use to say that is good to start new projects in Monday and Wednesday not Friday.

What I start in Friday or Tuesday take ages to finish it, always I make mistakes, or doesn't turn the way I want it. I guess this is the way I was brought up and things I learnt during my life time.

Another friend of mine suggest to share my knowledge of knitting with you.

Knitting is giving me the freedom to watch a movie or a TV show but also is good for the mind too.

When others sleep...

Tonight when others went to sleep, I start writing.Writing become very important to me lately.In April 2012 I opened a new chapter in my life by going to TAFE to study.For the first time in my life when I finish a course, and another, and another. One of my goals was to improve my English writing. I accomplished so much in a short period of time.Currently I am study Certificate IV Business Administration.

I have so many dreams,but one of them is to get a better job, in a office, filling boxes with numbers, yes one of them jobs.

Recently I uploaded few short movies on ABC Open website and You Tube , wrote short stories. Singing, I am working on my third album, finished 18 songs from 20, music and lyrics in Romanian language.Recording my voice is easy after the soundtracks are done.To find and hire the musicians takes time.

2010 was quite an Seva's year. In this post I would like to take you on a journey through it. So read on as I take you through some of the most exciting and interesting things that have happened to Seva over the past 365 days:

In sweltering heat I sat at my computer. I hadn’t been outside in well over last 60 days. A year’s worth of ideas would soon be unleashed . I am looking backward to what I had accomplished and forward to what I would, all in a single moment. This is what I saw for 2011:

Soon I weak up,switch on the computer and start writing,about last night dream was amazing,like I was there.When I was a little girl I wished to be a traditional country music,did happen,for a short time but happen.My last night dream is sending me back in time,and yes I was going back two decades ago.

Chatting with one of my favorites singer star,Ionut Dolanescu,is a big name in my native country,Romania,the son of the well known duet Maria Ciobanu and Ion Dolanescu.

Back in 1990,I was touring in my country,with Ion Dolanescu,Ionut Dolanescu,Ileana Constantinescu,Ionut was great,just a student at the time.

Today he is married,has a child ,and is magnificent to listen to his wife violin,and his great voice,I am amazed watching them both on stage.

Going back to my dream,we just talk face to face about our concerts,20 years ago, in Romania and sudden change the subject telling me about his tour in Australia,and I reply to him with a statement he came to Australia before Irina Loghin's 2003 Australian tour. Strange fact what was mentioned in my dream was real fact,true story,chatting with Ionut was only a dream. Irina Loghin,is my childhood idol,I loved her songs,another big star of our traditional music.

Did you ever dreamed about your favorite stars,of course you did,I think everyone has a dream like this in a while.

Before I arrived in Australia I was fascinated with Melba,Maria Calais....Joan Sutherland I knew nothing about her,until 1992 and in short time I caught up with information and when was possible I was watching her shows.

Born in November 1926,in Sydney,in December 1946 she made her debut,and in 9 June 1951 marked her appearance in staged opera.

October 12 ,2010 one of the greatest voices,well known in the world ,dies,near Geneva.

More time to spend in recording studio

I have approximately 32 songs traditional Romanian country music,ready to be record it ,but my musicians are in Romania,and I am in Australia.I can't wait to see things falling in place with my plans of recording my new albums.I need a holiday to be able to achieve my goal.

Mention about my goal,I just read a extraordinary story of a young man from China ,Liu Wei ,who lost his arms at the age of ten can play piano with his toes,he make himself useful at something.Is a great inspirational story.You can do anything you want,if you really want.

Image via WikipediaMy dear friends,I am writing,today,only to find something,to do,to use my spare time,in a creative way.In another hand,writing in English,my second language is a big risk,maybe I mentioned that before.Today is tonight actually,and is close to midnight,is a cold,spring night,in a small country town from Australia.

I am trying to take you ,back in time,when I was a little girl,and one of the luckiest ever meet in this planet,why lucky,I was born in a Sunday,and a have a dimple on my left chick,some folks are saying God put his finger there,but is true,all my life I was at right time,in the right place,and compare with others from my family my life was blessed,with few things,and a special gift,a really nice voice,singing voice.

When I was 2-3 years old,my parents decide to give me away to a aunt,and after another few years spent with my grand parents,finally my new parents decide to take me at their new residence,in a big city,only 38 km from my little village where I was born.Imagine a 6 years old,girl,dressed in a red velvet dress,starting her new adventures.

If a new vinyl record came up our neighbours where playing day and night.In no time I learn few songs and I was able to sing them at school.I was dreaming to became a star.I was a star,every teacher was impressed with my voice,one person wasn't my adoptive mother.For years she will stop me from every competition until I was 23 years old.Soon I start singing everything was falling in place,wining competitions,in my town and even national wide.

My name was very well known at the time ,loved ,admired and soon earn some money only singing.

Dragii mei,prieteni,astazi fiind oarecum indispusa si poate si vremea e de vina,ca de la Craciun a plouat intr-una.Am avut oarecum ceva timp ca sa mai rascolesc amintiri si am dat peste un CD un titlu scris de mana,Victor Mihai.

Victor a fost un solist de muzica populara din Gaiesti Romania.L-am cunoscut in 1996,ma aflam in vizita in Romania,venise in vizita la D-na Irina Loghin binecunoscuta solista de muzica populara,unde eu ma aflam,la scurta vreme dupa,ne-am intalnit la Galati,la Pescarul(un restaurant pe faleza Dunarii) ,nu stiu daca se mai numeste asa,a fost o zi de neuitat,s-a mancat,s-a cantat, s-a petrecut,ne-am regasit iarasi la Pitesti unde mi s-a oferit o seara minunata,muzica,lautari de la Pitesti,restaurant si un accident de masina la intoarcere spre Galati care m-a tinut spitalizata 5 zile,a facut sa intrerupem vacanta noastra in Romania.

Victor ne-a daruit o banda de magnetofon,pe care am transferat-o pe CD,la studioul Taramalin din Brisbane Australia.
Valurile vietii,sunt zbuciumate,si un val mai urias a distrus casnicia noastra,am plecat de acasa doar cu ce-am putut lua in geanta,un album cu poze si atat,am lasat in urma mea, munca de aproape 10 ani.

In 2002 am fost acasa in Romania iarasi,am mai fost la Pitesti,am vizitat-o pe Cristina Turcu Preda,o cunoscuta solista din Pitesti,si m-am regasit cu Dumitrica si Gheorghita,doi instrumentisti care au fost in Australia in 1993 ,dar pe Victor nu l-am vazut.

In Australia,am luat legatura cu Alan de la Studioul Talamarin, si l-am rugat sa-mi trimita daca mai are o copie dupa acea banda de magnetofon care a ramas la fostul meu sot,si bineinteles ca mi-a trimis o copie.

Si de aici ,o alta serie de valuri mai mici mi-au zdruncinat viata,dar am trecut si peste ele,intre timp am primit vestea de la Cristina Turcu Preda ca Victor Mihai a murit , eu astazi ii cant doua cantece,Nu stiu Doamne de unde mai sunt si Viata n-o poti cumpara,eu le-am auzit la el pentru prima data in 1996,le-am prins din zbor,s-au imprimat repede in memorie.

Astazi am reusit sa postez pe You Tube in memoria lui,sa-i fie tarana usoara,una din melodiile de pe acest CD(banda de magnetofon) care nu a fost publicat nicaieri,in tara,materialul este in prima auditie pentru iubitorii de folclor,dupa 14 ani si cine stie de cati ani el a avut banda de magnetofon.

Deci "Am plecat cantand prin sat"voce Victor Mihai ,este postat You Tube.Daca din intamplare l-ati cunoscut s-au stiti pe cineva care are ceva fotografii cu Victor Mihai va rog sa-mi scrieti,si va rog sa navigati pe You Tube si sa-mi spuneti ce parere aveti,comentati,adaugati ceva stelute rosii .....multumesc,Seva.

It's Christmas

Image via Wikipedia It's Christmas,and is raining,good sign,is not much fun just stay inside watch TV and search the web and eat and have a glass of good wine,listening Christmas Carols,celebrate both Christmas and rain.
Everything will be nice and green around us.I caught up with lots of friends last night and today on YouTube,I received lots of messages,feel good to have someone in some places of this world to think about you.You are going to sleep,and check your account before you go to work 4:30am and you find out somebody left a message or a comment on your channel.
Yesterday ,I made a new video with a message for Christmas to be able to send it to every friend of mine,for that special day of the year,drive safe,stay safe,and have a good Christmas,Seva.

Toate vin la vremea lor,azi, de fapt e miezul noptii, iar eu invat sa folosesc si aceasta cale de ajunge la cei ce iubesc frumosul,traditiile noastre,si in special muzica noastra populara,romaneasca.
Va invit pe You Tube ,sunt 29 de video-uri care pot fi vizionate,si daca nu va plac cele postate de mine poate va opriti la cele "favorite"de mine
