Hey readers how are you today? I was glad to see my page rank finally went up! It's about damn time, I want my "page rank of 4" back! I'm only a Page Rank two, but you have to start somewhere, right? Todays web comic is a black and white comic. I normally don't like these much but lately I have seen some great black and white comics. Todays comic is WAYRIFT... so let's do it!

PROS: A very good story that never stops building to bigger better things. This web comic has likable characters, over a 100 readers, a forum, plenty of comments, a blog, fan art and even video. There is a lot to do on this site period-- on top of that a very good web comic to read. The info on this web site was one of the most easy to find and well organized-- that I have seen so far this year. The webpage template is better and more colorful and now it's done in color. Also this comic has been consistent all year.

CONS: Ummmm... let me see. Maybe that the whole archive is not in color.

LAST WORD: This webcomic almost has no annoying flaw, at least not for me. It's been long time that I can say that. I'm sure there is one but I'm not it nit picking mood and look for stuff that stands out. The only thing I can say is that some people may not like this style of genre comic. A very nice web comic! It has active fan base and the site offers much to see while catching up on the archive. The characters as I said before are interesting and you get a chance to see each artist/writer give a different take on the same character that lives in there own separate dimension. It updates M/W/F but The pages aren't numbered during normal reading but they are in the archive so that is not a real issue. This comic was a real treat and I would suggest that you fav this site. You will not regret it!

CONCEPT: 10
Wayrift is an online webcomic (manga) created by two oldschool gamer girls who grew up on the opposite sides of the USA… and just both happened to fall in love with the same video game, Final Fantasy IV, as young teens. Both were interested in the concept of the Lunarian race as portrayed by the original SNES version of the game (back then, we knew it as Final Fantasy II). Both began to develop their own stories and worlds, their own versions of characters like KluYa and Golbez. I have seen sprite comics done on a game but this comes off very original!

ART: 9.0
The art is a ever improving manga style, that looks better. The artist only seem to draw backgrounds if they really have too.

COLORING OR SHADING: 9.0
There are some real good color affects used now and on top of the excellent cell shading used in the early part of the archive..

WRITTING AND SPELLING: 10
The characters and story is easy to follow and understand. Spelling and grammar check out to be in good shape.

WEB PAGE LAYOUT: 9.5
Damn this webpage is now flashy on top of being well organized . There was no struggle to find the info I was looking for except maybe when they update this comic-- it was there, but I didn't see it at first. Also there is a ton to do at this site with a blog, forum, fan art and more! This site also loads fast.

ENTERTAINMENT: 9.0
Reading this web comic was a lot of fun. I like the characters and story keeps getting better. This may be one, I read the whole archive! Only wish it was in color.

POST FREQUENCY: 8.5
Three times a week in color now is very good.

POPULARITY: 6.5
Wayrift still has only a PR OF 3 but at least this webcomic now has 108 active readers. It must have lost some from last time when it was 122. Awren and Syntyche get a lot of comments. I counted 58 to even 70 in some post!

AWARD: FUNNIEST WEB COMIC OF THE YEAR FOR 2010

Happy NEW YEAR! I know this some late reviews and it is 2012 but needed to finish my comics on my list before the voting begins. I'm not sure that I believe but hey you never know... Today's web comic review is called How Unfortunate. I swear! It is not a fantasy comic. I think I got into a little pattern there. So on to the review...

PROS: This comic is funny and yet serious at the same time. Characters can die and become mutilated all on a whim. This comic will surprise you at what a character will say at any given moment. The main lead villain (if he's not dead yet, sorry I haven't had time to read the whole thing) is one the best villains I've come across in a comic. Finally a villain who became a billionaire in a believable way. He sales adult toys a gels! LOL--I'm for real! That was genius, shot out to the creator on that one. The woman characters are nice to look at and are written perfectly. It's in color! A nice size archive to boot and this DD template is way better.

CONS: This comic is on looooong hiatus. This comic does not always update as it says. You better fav it if you like it. It's not easy to find this comic in the slew of Drunk Duck comic titles unless if you remember it's name. Sometimes the comedy is a bit over the top and some pages can be way too chatty. Only those police station cliche pages are suspect.

LAST WORD: The Drunk Duck template is way better now but it's still not in the class of a good How unfortunate for you, that are just reading this comic now. This comic is a whole lot of fun. Some pages may make you speed read through them. Fortunately... that doesn't happen allot. It's rare when a super hero comic dares to be cutting edge, funny and violent all at once. Joe may get a bit carried away at times but you will enjoy the ride. This is one of those comics you-- have--to-- start-- from beginning to really appreciate what the creator is doing with these characters. Unfortunately this comic is on hiatus so unless if you haven't read the archive you may not want to visit this one right now .

OVERALL SCORE: 7.0

CONCEPT: 9.5
How Unfortunate is a off wall action/comedy about two detective thrown into the insane and dangerous world of super powered beings. And (surprise, surprise) they have a hard time adjusting. A unique idea.

ART: 8.5
The art style is different from any other comic I saw. Joe makes more of a attempt to draw backgrounds while most run away from it. His drawing ability while good-- and still improving is not polished just yet.

COLORING OR SHADING: 9.0
His use of shadows and highlights are well above average and give his art work that extra pop.

WRITING AND SPELLING: 9.5
The story is easy enough to follow (If you read enough of the archive) and consistent. Some pages are a little too wordy. Spelling and grammar seem okay.

WEB PAGE LAYOUT: 7.5
Drunk Duck has improved there template but Comicpress template is still better. Don't get me wrong it works for what it's meant to do but if your new to this web comic you will be lost on who these characters are. If you know how to maneuver around DD you can find out what this comic is about but sometimes that option is not available. The Mature rating is easily found on the thumb nail to this comic. Sometime this template loads slow and sometimes you end up posting twice when commenting because of some glitch in the site.

ENTERTAINMENT: 9.0
When I first saw this comic I was like it was just okay-- then when I saw some of the super powered females in action I was hooked. Joe really knows how write the dialog for them. The guys are okay and they have there spots when they shine, but the woman are almost always on fire. While this does not happen much. this comic does have those long wordy cliche pages coupled with those over excessive comedy moments when you say ENOUGH!

this web comic is on almost a six month hiatus. So this score is now a lot lower then before. I hope the creator is okay. Before that this comic updated twice a week in color is which was above average and is better then most. Plus as a new reader you have 253 pages to start with.

POPULARITY: 3.0
A page rank of 2 is okay but your not raising hell online. Also He's lost in the mix of Drunk Duck so this comic may not be known as much as it should be. Joe does get comments from yours truly and at least 5 others on each post. This is one of few web comics that I had read before and after I reviewed it.

Today I will be reviewing a comic did before last year. It is none other then "Web Comic All Star" Champ of the year EBEN 07. I decided to review some comics over because I'm trying to keep those that do well in the spot light. That's why I came up with Web Comic All Stars. It well be tough, there are so many web comics out there. But I will do my best to give the best and most fair reviews to all challengers. Last time Eben 07 scored a cool 9.5! Can he go any higher... or lower? I changed my review system some so it will be hard to score a overall perfect 10 score. The last time I saw this comic the bomb shell was dropped that Eben was a clone, oh snap!So lets start the review already.

PROS: Eben 07 as with the last review, has a great story to along with his signature art. His web site is has a even better page design, a cool web comic template, plus more info and links then a year ago. His blog keeps you informed of his latest moves like his "APE" Tour appearance that was a modest success. I also found reading most of his archive that he gives great commentary with each update. A unique thing about this comic is you jump in on any mission, because each chapter does stand on it's own. It's almost like reading a whole new comic each time! The just gets better!

CONS: He only updates once a week.

LAST WORD: This comic still rocks and the present chapter " Three Ring Bound" looks like it is building to something special. but my favorite chapter is still "Goo Finger" and the "Love Of Russia"! In the last review I didn't understand his chapter lay out before but with some tweaks he made on his site from my last analysis-- it now makes perfect sense how he does this declassify each mission system. After the web comics I've seen or reviewed I still haven't seen a comic like this one. He has made moves to get his fans copies and collector art pieces to further enhance his popularity. This comics only real weak point is his update frequency, but some improvement with his popularity couldn't hurt. Being last years champion DBethel, you recieved a 1 point bonus. That gave you a boost, you were really a 8.5 or 8.87500 to be exact.

OVERALL SCORE: 8.5

CONCEPT: 10 Pure genius. This missions envolving secret Janitors that clean up the scene after spies! Some how when I reviewed this before I didn't see that they were Janitors, I thought they were the spies. Egg all over my face! Then again I did not see the page that explains all this... at least I don't recall. But don't get it twisted-- these Janitors can kick butt!

ART: 10 The art style is very good and polished. It also doesn't look similar to most of the art styles I have seen online. He draws backgrounds a bit more than when I was viewing his past work.

COLORING OR SHADING: 9.5 The coloring is still spectacular with a good use of shadows and motion blurs here and there. There is just no "wow" colors like I've seen in some web comics like Drowtales. In other words-- color affects that take it to another level.

WRITING AND SPELLING: 9.5 The classified files were a little confusing at first but now that I get it, the story flows pretty well. Grammar looks good but I saw a few misspells. They were not in the comic-- they were in some of his blog post.

WEB PAGE LAYOUT: 9.5 Another thing he improved in. This web comic page template fits perfectly! Info this time around was even easier to find. With this much stuff on the page it still manages to load fast. ENTERTAINMENT: 10 This comic is a whole allot of fun to read. The declassified files page "archives" even have some new ones I never saw before.

POST FREQUENCY: 6.0 This comic updates once a week in color, on every Wednesday. Not bad but I've seen comics with color update 3-5 times a week. But if it's not broke don't fix it.

POPULARITY: 6.0 With a page rank of 4, this web comic does better than most but it still hasn't moved up that much since I reviewed it before. It has fans that do comment but no where on the level of "Wayrift" or "1977 the web comic" that can average 20 to 50 comments a post.

Welcome to another web comic review. After reading another web review blog I noticed that with so many web comics out there it just aren't enough reviewers to go around. I was wondering if I should stretch my limit and see if I cant double my current pace. I have something that might work but I need a bunch of comics to try it on. This won't be one of them. I wasn't sure what to think when I first came across this one. It was a comic on that Wevolt site that I recently took a look at another comic on there, but it now has it's own Comicpress site. I did something I rarely do. I read the whole archive! It's called The Path.

PROS: A very entertaining story! The art work shows some shine and the characters give good stage presence! The web page is now upgraded and it looks real good. The creator has a knack for making you hungry for more. The suspense is off the hook!

CONS: A parental warning may be needed and I can't tell what page I'm on.

LAST WORD: The Path has taken a major step forward with a new bad ass website.This comic surprised me. It's pretty good! After reading the whole archive I think that nothing bad really stood out enough to make me stop. There may be some mild language( I can't remember) but nothing too bad. I thought I read something a bit over the top...so I guess some mom might throw a fit of what her child is reading. The creator was thinking of making a kids version (Do that). I highly recommend this one.

OVERALL SCORE: 9.0

CONCEPT: 10
THE PATH is about two main characters Kat Williams and Chance Mcgavin. They appear to be human but are so much more. They are posed to stop a threat of apocalyptic proportions. The thing is--these threats are mythological monsters. I couldn't of done a story in this genre any better.

ART: 8.5
The art is well done. The backgrounds don't knock you out the box but they give just enough atmosphere to each scene.

COLORING OR SHADING: 9.0
This where the artist really shines. The coloring looks old school at first glance but it breaths life into this story. The use of shadows highlights are done very well!

WRITING AND SPELLING: 10

The story has a nice pace to it. The spelling and grammar seem perfect.

WEB PAGE LAYOUT: 9.0
Wow the website looks good, real good It loads good and not ad heavy. This is not the best web comic template but this such a leap from the website before. I'm sorry if I'm gushing a little.My only gripe is I can't tell how many pages he has now.

ENTERTAINMENT: 10
I can't believe I read the whole archive in one sitting. I guess each post had just enough story and ended with just enough suspense... not easy to pull that off.

POST FREQUENCY: 9.5
Another score I'm impressed by. For me--posting five times a week in full color is boss! That being said this artist does a nice job posting one panel updates. Very clever. Only one comic does 5 pages a week and updates with bonus material on the weekends and that would be WayWard Sons Legends.

POPULARITY: 4.0
I didn't check PR yet but 259 people like the Path on Facebook, as well 15 followers.That's okay for now

Can't believe this year is almost up. Oh well at least it was better than last year! Today's web comic is another I reviewed last year. It's called...Drowtales which is a site that hosts numerous web comics, several of which take place in the Drowtales universe; a world based on Yan "Kern" Gagné's interpretation of Drow elves—including history, cultures, world, and evolution of subspecies. The "main" featured comic is called Moonless age written and drawn by the site's webmaster Kern and revolves (mostly) around Ariel Val'Sarghress, her upbringing and later quest to find a friend who has been banished. A number of different spin-off comics are included on the site, featuring stories taking place in the same universe while focusing on different aspects or giving details on the back story of events that happened before Ariel's time. In addition, the site hosts several different and unrelated elf/furry based comics, independent of the Drowtales universe.

PROS: This web comic has the best page template out there I believe! You have to see this page to believe it. Tell me another web comic that has this changing background feature, when you change the page. It's also well organized, loads fast and has a huge archive to devour! One of the best fantasy stories I have come across.

CONS: The creators are bit aloof, I guess especially if your a new reader. You won't hear too much feed back from them. They may be very busy though. They don't have a blog you can communicate with them or talk to each other about the current update.

LAST WORD: I honestly haven't been able to read the whole archive because all of the different story lines. That in it self can be a little confusing, but this comic has a great story and the art is outstanding. If the creators were a little more forth coming they could have easily won web comic of the year! This is one of few comics that totally earned the high overall score below with out me manipulating the numbers a little to round it off. It would of got a 10 if this comic showed how many readers it had like WayRift. The page rank is just so so.

Drowtales is about 7 different stories spanning the main story Moonlight which about Tales of the people born into the Moonless age of the elven history and how they will shape the future of this underworld gone into chaos.ART: 10

Great on every level. Despite the change of artist the quality doesn't drop off. Even though I am a little hard on manga the art style doesn't remind me of any other of this type of style.

Also great and on a high level. Better than most published comic books from Marvel or DC!

Well written and easily understood. Spelling and grammar check out just fine.

Still the best web comic template online. Loads fast despite there is a lot to take in. Well organized and there is much to see and read here. Info is easy to find. There is art galleries, games, animations, media, forum, news and more. So much to see so little time.

ENTERTAINMENT: 10
This comic is way more entertaining then "Penny Arcade" unless if you don't like fantasy. There are multiple stories that branch off from the main story and even the one story that is on hiatus, still has a archive of 1179 to keep you occupied.

POST FREQUENCY: 10
Hmmm... They post daily or so they say. I'll give them the benefit but I can't totally verify this ether. But even just 5 days a week in full color with this quality of art... is boss!

POPULARITY: 6.0
This comics only real weak spot. I can't tell how many readers it and it still has a"page rank of 3" Not bad but this comic should have a page rank of 5 or higher. I know PR is not everything but those sites that do get get high PR get huge amounts of traffic on a normal basis It still boggles my mind that some of the most crappy drawn and written comics have the higher page ranks? They must all link together and promote like crazy even paying for hits or something.

This is now the time of the year I revist those comics that I was impressed by I will still new comics but these will be the priority. Todays comic is comic I read a couple years ago and enjoyed it. This time I'm reviewing it so let me see how it stacks up. The comic is called TwoKinds...

PROS: The art is top notch as well as the coloring. Manga lovers will love the the way the artist draws the animal/humanoid like characters and the way he writes this story. The story isn't to hard to follow and yet it's very deep and character driven. His site well organized and I was able find everything I needed to easily write this review. Over a 600+ archive for a new reader to dive into!

CONS: I think due to the artist going to college and working, his updates maybe held hostage for donations at times(Not that I blame him), but I could be mistaken. I only read his donation paragraph twice and that's what it sounded like. Tom only updates once week. The story on the surface sounds too familiar to something I played or read with a character losing his memory at the beginning of the chapter.

LAST WORD: I could of swore he had his own website last time? A fantastic comic, I'm glad I found this one again! The characters are interesting and the story does remain fresh while exploring the racial tensions between the races. Sadly this comic could have scored a higher overall score if it updated more and if I had more to judge it's popularity on. I went mainly by it's page rank but fan comments could of helped out here a little. It was the same as last time I reviewed this one. I did notice he that he is number 4 in the top web comics list. His overal score is about the same but still very good.

CONCEPT: 9.0
Twokinds is a webcomic that takes place in a world conflicted with racial tension, primarily between the human-like Humans and the animal-like Keidran. A deep moving story except for the part about Trace losing his memory and struggling to regain it. I've played too many role playing games with the same type of beginning story, I guess. But I'm glad the story is so much more than that.

ART: 9.5
Tom's manga style is top notch and polished. He's also not scared to draw backgrounds. *Note: His was already good in his first chapter but he got progressively better by chapter 12.

COLORING OR SHADING: 9.5
This is also top notch but I have had a chance to see some comics that are a little better.

WRITTING AND SPELLING: 9.5
The spelling and grammar check out good. The character writing is good but sometimes it was little choppy or I had to read some lines over a few times, to understand in the first chapter.

WEB PAGE LAYOUT: 9.0
This site is well organized and put together. This is even more impressive since he uses web comic host like Keenspot. Everything is easy to find and the archive is huge. The site loads fast and there is no waste of space. The design on the archive pages is simple, but works. Some nice links like deviant art should give new and old readers some more things to look at.

ENTERTAINMENT: 9.5
The story at first looks alot like I read before, but the building tension between the races and underlining love story is pleasant surprise. I will read this one from beginning to end. Tom did a great job here!

POST FREQUENCY: 6.0
It's not bad that he updates once a week in color, but more updates would have been better. He does stay on scheduel however.

POPULARITY: 6.0
With a "Page Rank of 3" this web comic does okay. I think perhaps with a blog or a comments field, it could do better. Tom does have forum and does web chat but it may not be enough for promotion. This comic is now number 4 in the Top web comics. So he has done some promotion.

Hope everyone had a nice thanksgiving. I'm almost turkey ed out! It took some time to get to this review done but here you go. should be updating my own comic at some point today or tomorrow. Today's webcomic is called is called Root Rot Comics, enjoy! Also I know everyone may not agree with my scores on webcomics but if you look at my system, I am the most fair. If you have a popular webcomic but suck at drawing you will be praised for your networking skills but your art skills will be called into question. I compair you with comics that are similar and in your genre. I draw the line at stick figures or have ass drawn comics however. There will be no mercy if you fall into that category because I have no respect for what you do. I appreciate art in all it's forms... not laziness. If you are a great manga/anime artist I will not hate on you but because that art form almost looks the same as everyone else's work I won't give you 10 for art but a 9.5 is the highest. Okay, enough with this! Let's get on with review.

PROS: This comic could also be a good horror suspense flick. This is a original interesting story after you really read it.and coloring style that speaks volumes(He is wicked with Photoshop). The web comic has all the info you will need to become familiar with this comic. The archive is easy to navigate and it works!

CONS" The artist does try to update at least once week but doesn't always. The next update can be anywhere from a week later to month. At least he gives you heads up. There were some misspells that I did see.

LAST WORD: This comic I wasn't sure of at first. It looked good but most horror comics are weird, slow and hard to follow... not this one. Now after reading the whole archive I was very impressed. I highly recommend this one! The best horror comic I have ever come across. I have seen others that look really good but not nearly as entertaining! Also this comic is better then it's overall score would indicate. The writing/spelling, populararty and especially the updating score killed it. Work on those and you should be higher!

Root Rot is a full page comic that chronicles the adventures of Eliot Shakman and Evelyn Graham as they intern at a paranormal investigation agency. Looks like X-files but staring teens that can do amazing things. On the surface it looks familiar but at a closer look a original tale begins to spin.

ART: 8.5
I like the art style but he's still growing and improving. The backgrounds are well mapped out but can look little off at times.

COLORING OR SHADING: 10
Few comics that do color can touch this level of eye popping style. David is is great with making the backgrounds give life to a scene. He may be better then "Red's Planet" creator! I'm sorry but Drowtales , still does the best coloring and affects on a webcomic I've seen combined with their flawless art.

WRITING AND SPELLING: 8.5
A weak point in this comic, I did see a few misspells. The story is easy to follow and none of his scenes seem to drag too long.

WEB PAGE LAYOUT: 9.0
I never saw the template he had before but this one fits the comic perfect. All buttons work, all basic info is there. It could be better but it is good enough. Thank god there were no site issues here at least for me. You other guys are pissing me off with those server errors and slow page downloads.

ENTERTAINMENT: 9.5
I read the whole archive and each page made me want to see what would happen next. The characters are interesting even if they are a little cliche.

POST FREQUENCY: 2.0
Terrible. David does try to update on a normal basis of once a week but this can take as as a long as month. This is a color comic and coloring is harder to do... but once a week is acceptable but nothing less. He does explain what's going on so you at least we know what's going on.

POPULARITY: 3.0
This comic has 23 followers and some comments. A page rank of 3 is okay.

Hey guys I came across this comic by accident but it gave a very good first impression it's called Spindrift! Under normal circumstances this comic would be mini review but I was inspired by what saw.

PROS: The art work almost jumps off the page. One of the new best websites I have seen all year. You can easily navigate this site and no slow page download problems. The story starts with a bang.

CONS: Small archive and only updates once a week.

LAST WORD: Spindrift is good despite being in it's infancy stage, but is off to a damn good start! The creators say this comic has been in production since 2010. The website, art work and story telling are top notch. The once a week update schedule seem to be the only cause for concern. This level of work and thought may off set that. I will keep a eye on this one and hope you will too. The potential to be great is there. Spindrift could have scored higher if it updated a little more and the archive was bigger.

OVERALL SCORE: 8.0

CONCEPT: 8.5
Spindrift is a futuristic fantasy tale that has different races fighting again st prejudice and the way things are. The beginning does drop a original bomb but I need to see more of this tale to know what it ultimately will be.

ART: 10
Elsa has a original well polished style, bravo.

COLORING OR SHADING: 8.5
The colors are very good just not great.

WRITING AND SPELLING: 10
Charlotte does a excellent job in telling this story and not dropping the ball with spelling or grammar.

WEB PAGE LAYOUT: 9.5
A very good eye popping template! No slow page downloads or anything. The info was easy to find and all buttons worked fine.

ENTERTAINMENT: 8.5
It is too soon to tell how good this story is but the first 10 pages bring plenty of drama.

POST FREQUENCY: 2.0
It seems the better drawn comics with color can only post once a week "I'm one of them" more post per week would be better. Also the small archive doesn't help. The level of work may make this worth the wait.

POPULARITY: 3.5
Not bad. A page rank of 2 for a relatively new comic. Also 294 people say they like this on Facebook. A good start ladies.

Hi true believes I come bearing another web comic review. This web comic I found the story interesting just had to take a closer look at it. It's called Inhuman(the web comic)...

PROS: A colorful art style I'm not sure if it's color pencil or paint or a combination. Appears to be well thought out story it reads nicely. There 426 pages to dive into!

CONS: Most of the top website info buttons did not work... at least for me. Carlain, doesn't say when they update or how often.

LAST WORD: I like the drawing style of the drawing even though it is not main stream and the panels are nicely done despite it looking hand drawn. This is a decent comic. My only real complaint is the site buttons don't work? I can't access the "the about page" or "archives". Oh well, enjoy the comic.

OVERALL SCORE: 7.0

Another race beings fight and struggle with racism and a oppressive human race that are the villains in this manga sci-fi. This is what I was able to gather. If I'm a little off blame the non existent "about page". The story is still pretty good.

ART: 8.5
I like art styles that don't look like carbon copies of everyone else even if they are not as polished. The backgrounds are even cool. The panels despite being hand drawn look all right.

COLORING OR SHADING: 9.0
The coloring is done real well with color pencil or marker.

WRITING AND SPELLING: 9.5
The story easy to understand and looks like spelling and other grammar have next to no errors.

WEB PAGE LAYOUT: 7.0
The website is passable but the fact that some the buttons at the top don't work is down right annoying. The site does respond fast enough when you read the comic.
ENTERTAINMENT: 8.0
The story wasn't addictive for me but it kept me turning pages.

POST FREQUENCY: 2.0
The don't say and I won't guess. There are not even dates to maybe put together how often they post. Unacceptable. There are 426 post so this comic must update multiple times a week. To bad they don't say that anywhere for new readers.

POPULARITY: 3.0
No PR to speak of. No comments to go by but it does have 97 likes from Facebook and boast a "Comic Rank" of 19. Good enough.

Welcome to another web comic review. We have a celebrity of sorts on deck.This comic is done by the creator of Lara Croft. It is known as Other World. I came across a year ago but I lost it some where in my favorites and never got around to reviewing it. Then again the I wasn't inspired to review this one right right away... well lets take a look now. In general pages load slow I'm using the Internet Explorer 9 browser which is pretty fast.

PROS: The art looks like a Saturday morning cartoon. The website is well organized and put together. This web comic updates just once week but with multiple pages at once! They claim several pages before Friday. The story doesn't take long until the fist start flying.

CONS: Navigating this comic is a bit tricky at first. You don't use the normal "first/last"
buttons like most web comics. You click the chapter buttons and when you go bring up the thumbnails the web page may fail to load. Commenting on this comic might be pain when your site info doesn't seem to work when entered correctly.

FINAL WORD: After further reading the page navigation is not too bad. You click the thumbnails at the bottom to move through the pages. There was some lag on some pages but most loaded fine. For some reason the show"all thumbnail pages" option of a chapter made the site load ether freeze or crash. This comic did not jump out at me at first but when I read it I was like this pretty good. The action is well thought out and each panel brings the tension between the characters to life. I couple page ranks higher and this would have been a easy 9.0! Highly recommended.

Otherworld follows the adventures of two very different girls as they peel back the fabrications that have hidden the facts behind the folk tales of the British Isles and beyond. It is a modern day Urban Fantasy drawing on the Celtic myths of the Tuatha de Danann and the mystery of conspiracy theory adventure stories.

ART: 8.0
The visual style is cool and backgrounds do breath life into the story. While the work isn't polished the artist does show a unique style to his work.

COLORING OR SHADING: 8.0
The shading works it's just not spectacular.

WRITING AND SPELLING: 10
Nice work the story flows nicely and easy to follow what is going on. No misspells to be found and grammar looks fine.

WEB PAGE LAYOUT: 9.0
This site is well put together. Site navigation is cool and there just enough info to peek your interest of this web comic. This design is simple yet effective. There are some site lags but they are not as bad as some of the others I have come across. The only really knock is the site colors are plain and when I first tried to comment, I hit a wall and couldn't use my info for some reason. It just would not let me sign in? I'll try again but that was annoying.

ENTERTAINMENT: 9.0
The Other World does a excellent job at telling a story visually with minimal words. I read like like 3 chapters with no sweat. I should have read this story more in depth a year ago.

Updating seven pages a week all at once in one day is boss!

A PR of 2 is okay but the 64 comments on the most recent post gave me pause. Those are Wayrift or The 70's The Web Comic levels. Impressive.

Welcome to another web comic review. Hopefully I can get back on pace to how I normally update. My daughter has been keeping me busy the little tike! Today's web comic is called Chronicles of Loth...

PROS: Large archive, the art improves little by little with each up date, and a host of colorful characters.

CONS: Info of when this comic updates as well as who these characters are oddly missing. The creator told me but I still not see it on site. I think for a fantasy epic type of comic-- that is a must. The page template at comic fury is passable but nothing special.

LAST WORD: This is nice comic. The story did spark me to read 30 pages in my first sitting. Despite the lack of character bio the characters are smartly introduced and fleshed out. Still a character bio page would of been nice. This comic at least has a full detailed prelude story that explains things quite nicely. This comic scored 6.75 to be exact but I felt it had enough intangibles to put it at least a 7.0 I did something I don't normaly do by changing a score. After some mistakes on my part and the creator telling me his update scheduel I decided to scored just enough to make the 7.0 score. The bad webcomic wiki does give this comic a lot lower but that cannot be easily argued. I think it depends if you don't care for manga type comics that look and sound familar. It's a matter of opinion and I try to be fair.

OVERALL SCORE: 6.5

CONCEPT: 8.5
A group of different races of beings become allies while fighting mutual enemies and each other to find answers of how they can coexist. That's what I got from it, if I'm wrong (cough) add a about page.

ART: 7.0
There are high and lows as the creator is still growing and perfecting his style.

COLORING OR SHADING: 8.0
The coloring also hits some peaks and valleys. The use of shadows aren't bad.

WRITTING AND SPELLING: 8.5
I may be off my game here I was bit distracted reading this story but no spelling or punctuation jumped out at me.

WEB PAGE LAYOUT: 7.5
This page template is better then a Wevolt template by far. I just see plenty of links but none that tell when they update, character bio, or even a about page. There is detailed prelude that does a pretty good job of explaining the story. I just think more info would be better.

ENTERTAINMENT: 8.0
This comic is interesting enough that I read a few chapters right away.

POST FREQUENCY: 2.5
The creator told me once week but I could not find it no where on the site. I'm sure they may say this in comments section below the comic but I don't read comments like that to be able to tell. I suck in this area myself at the moment.

This web comic has managed a PR of 3 and small group of fans that comment, not bad.

This will be "mini review" because this comic doesn't have anywhere near the amount of pages for a full review. The only reason I chose this web comic is because it does have a killer web site and the art is different. Also updates are slanted for 01/01/12 of next year. So let's take a look at Forgotten Pages the web comic shall we.

PROS: This is by far the fastest page turning comic I ever saw. There no annoying waiting for the page to load up(at least for pages in the book). A eye popping flash site the works better then most. The art work is dark and different.

CONS: There are small ass fonts in this comic and there no way I see to increase the size. Sometimes to go to a different part of the comic takes longer then you would think. This comic is on hiatus till next year. There no way to comment on this comic and there is no forum.

LAST WORD: This comic is done in professional quality. The fonts are too small and you have to wait months for updates to officially begin. It may be worth the wait or not. You decide.

PROS: Star Wars duh? This comic is allot like a Family Guy episode, witty and funny. The web site is colorful and and can easy navigate.

CONS: Updates once a week. Not many links or much else to see on the site. The followers of this comic hail from inkoutbreak.com My antivirus would not let me go there? they ( Antivirus)claim that the closed that page to protect my computer? Not sure if it's safe or not. I already have headaches from other virus trojans ect.. from other sites I have visted. Visit at your own risk!

LAST WORD: If you like or don't care for Star Wars this spoof is is sure to tickle your funny bone. I don't like all parodies but this one was pretty good. It's nice to see a husband and wife share in a artistic endeavor. I would take a look at this one if I was you. All links may not be safe!

To sum it up this a Star Wars parody. Not original. Robot Chicken and Family Guy did this idea to death, but still entertaining.

Well done as well. The colors fit this comic to a tee. The use of shadows are not really well used however.

This comic is written well and the story is never confusing from what I read. I saw no misspells.

Very colorful and the page is pretty straight forward. There are not too many links or pages to browse. The "About Page" answers all questions in detail. The page download lags at times. One the links may not be safe, I'm still not sure... so let me know how it goes.

Not the funniest comic I've read in awhile but it did keep my attention. I didn't read the whole archive so this comic could be more funny then I thought.

Once a week in full color is barely passable. Hey, I should update more then I do! I put in more work then this 4 panel comic on average. I do see that at times they do update twice week, and that is more acceptable. A half point for that yaaaaaay!

Happy Labor Day! Still can't believe I am off to day but I will be working through out the week. Don't worry my own Manga Splice will be updating a little later today. Today's web comic is one I starting reading and found interesting... it's called Caphriphona!

PROS: A great looking website with comments enabled! The art is very good with a classic manga style combined with chi bi forms when at a distance. There is "About " info and character bios you can easily find from the home page. A nice good size archive for new readers. A whole volume is now on sale!

CONS: I noticed some page load problems when there seemed to be 15 users on line. I'm not sure if that was the source of the problem. At times the pages can be a little confusing to read. This is from ether the cell shading or the artist trying to cram to much on one page.

LAST WORD: This manga has good story behind. Doesn't most manga? If you love manga you should like this one! This comic does have a following so you won't be alone. One thing I will say for most manga is that their stories are gripping and almost always original. My only knock on this art form as you can't tell one artist from the next.

OVERALL SCORE: 8.0

Carciphona takes place in Maelstrom, a spirit-entwined world. Although magic has allowed Maelstrom to grow and prosper, it has been prohibited in recent history due to the appearance of a demonic assassin. Quite Original.

This manga art style is very good and polished but looks like it was done by the same artist in some other recent manga I read.

COLORING OR SHADING: 9.0

When this artist decides to color the work is on another level. The cell shading isn't as good as a manga like Wayrift.

WRITTING AND SPELLING: 9.0

The story is easy to follow... most times. I found some pages hard to read because they appeared to be ether crammed or the cell shading was to light to tell easily what was going on. Spelling and grammar looked okay to me.

WEB PAGE LAYOUT: 9.0

This one of the more original web comic websites I've seen. I was surprised Shilin, doesn't use comicpress as well. The only real knock was some pages loaded real slow. Almost all info a new reader would need was at the finger tips except... what page number you are on. It's there but it is small print at the foremost left and right corners

ENTERTAINMENT: 8.5

More interesting then entertaining but the story will make you want to see what happens next. This just wasn't one of those "I can't stop reading" comics for me.

Once week in black and white just isn't impressive. I will say that it is better then myself at the moment. I do my webcomic in color however.

A page rank of 3 is cool and from recent reader comment counts, I can tell this comic has a decent following.

Hurricane Irene had me more focused on what the Hurricane was going to do next. I'll have more info on that with later post. My home town is it's path so I will pay close attention to this one. Anyway today's (mini) review is on a web comic called Zodiac- an athro/webcomic. I found it interesting but as I said before web comics I can't really post on easily will not get the full review treatment unless if they are lights out with next to no flaws.

Zodiac the web comic does not have a "About page" from what I saw. This site also lacks most of the info that would tell you what this web comic is basically about and if the content is suitable for minors. I think it's PG 13. This comic appears to be about the super team named after Zodiac signs that are represented by various humanoid animals that have super powers. There is a "Cast page" that is among the best I have scene for a web comic. It's very detailed but to the point and reminds me of those old Marvel universes, just not as wordy. John Man also has Deviant art page and fan art I jus t found.The site loads fast and site design is simple but works. This is web comic is hosted on Web comic Nation which I am not real familiar with but it appears to be on the level a Wevolt template that just won't do. The basic web comic info is there and you can read this comic easily which is what a site should do- first and fore most. I think you will ether like this one or not, decide for yourself. I will need to read more, since I found this web comic to be okay.

My biggest gripe with this comic is with the posting system. Is this comic still active or what. There appears to be no 2011 post but the latest page is Aug 16. Being that we are in August I am lost. It seems this artist likes hold is post hostage til enough donations are in. Does this work for anyone? Anyway this too damn confusing for me, which why most "web comic host" suck. Their posting features are very flawed. I should not have to guess or wonder when this was last done!

I started these post so when I lack motivation to blog I can change it up with some revelate news. While I love comics and video games, sometimes I just don't feel like writing about it. Rebels claim they control most of Tripoli and claim three of Gadhafi's sons have been captured, including Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, who was considered Libya's heir. Reports say the regime has been overthrown by the rebellion sweeping the country. When I was kid read some magazine stating Gadhafi had a hand in Britsh and American women being captured and gang raped by his military. So it couldn't happen to a nicer guy. The king is dead long live the king!

Wow what a week. Adjusting to the baby is harder and more fun then I thought. Today will be a "mini review". Tdays comic is called TRIPP and I found it to be a decent read. Unfortunately this creator uses "Smackjeeves" a web comic host I do not have a account with and don't intend to get one. I just don't feel like filling out another online form. This web comic peaked my interest to read it but as of now webcomics that I can't comment on probably won't get a full review and maybe a link from me. There will be exceptions like Drowtales, if a story, or art, or something blows me away. Lets get to it then.

Tripp is the story of an ordinary guy stuck in a never-ending acid trip.

Tripp must learn to cope with his new psycho tropically enhanced existence with the aid of his spirit guide, Edgar Allan Poe.

This comic is not an endorsement of drug use, merely one guy's effort to deal with an accidental, perpetual hallucinatory life change.

This story is actually quite humorous at times and the art and overal story is better then most web comics on the Smackjeeves site that I skimmed through. This comic even achieved a "PageRank of 3" which isn't so easy to do on a host site. This comic does get comments from it's group of faithful readers. The website template is way better then at Wevolt.com and a little better then DrunkDuck since you can add things like what the comic is about and character pages. I recommend a look at this one! You will have to bookmark this one and join Smackjeeves if you want to comment. A decent archive for new readers with 64 pages to start you off with. The website loaded well for me when I was looking through the archives. The only real knock on this comic is that it's on Smackjeeves and not on it's own domain. After reading even more of the archive, I found this web comic hard to stop reading!

This is a story about a mother who gives birth to here three sons in a night of earthquake and nuclear disaster. Emma is a single mother who looks after her kids and is proud with their achievements at school until she finds out Tim has mental problems. She takes him to a special class where he seems happy. Ben is one of the best soccer players at school but the fame makes him arrogant and he starts drinking and taking drugs and ends up in jail. Jim is good at music but a cruel twist of fate leaves him disheartened…

I know you have been waiting for another web comic review. I like what I saw and this is little change up from what I normaly come across. It's called The Becoming.

PROS: You will find really good art and colors. For new readers there is nice size archive to hold your attention for some time. This comic starts off strong so story telling should not be a issue. A well put together site with most info at your fingure tips and no major site lag so far!

CONS: Updates once a week. Not sur but this comic could use a content warning but I only came across one language volation.

LAST WORD: The Becoming is different from most comics I normaly read. The action is short but sweet as the story just delves deeper into the charactes. The story is interesting and if you like a intelligent drama that will make your think more then usual then this one is for you. I do like this one and will have to read more then the twenty or so pages I read but it doesn't have me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what will happens next like some comics that come to mind like "The Path" or "Eben 07".

OVERALL SCORE: 8.0

CONCEPT: 10

The Becoming is the story of a young orphan named Oscar LeBeau who becomes the ward and apprentice of the woman who made him that way: Jeannine Delacroix, a Disciple of the Church of Bellac. The two find their fates entwined as they weather the political and religious climate of Bellac, ultimately defining the distinct roles they each will come to play in the world’s ultimate salvation – or destruction. This is one of the more intelligent and thought provoking storylines I have come across online. I also would say it is original.

ART: 9.0

Very good, The backgrounds are better then I can muster at the moment, but some character drawings at certain angles show signs that the artist has limitations.

COLORING OR SHADING: 9.0
Well done.

WRITTING AND SPELLING: 10

This comic is well written. There are some phrases that may be called into question by some who are more well versed in English literature then I.

WEB PAGE LAYOUT: 9.0

The web page is good example how Comic Press pages can be put together with ads and all without being overpowering. Kudos for minimal if any site lag I came across. Information is easy to find everything just looks good.

ENTERTAINMENT: 7.0

I really think this is a nice comic but I won't be breaking my neck to see the next update from what I read. Though well written with well thought out characters and with some decent drama, nothing really jumped out at me. This comic lacks the supense you would need for a comic with limited to no action.

POST FREQUENCY: 6.5
Once a week in color is just acceptable but more would be better. The creators do through in a bonus page on some weeks.

POPULARITY: 5.5

A page rank of 4 shows these two are consitent and 1-5 coments in the last few post show they do have some active readers. There twitter feed also shows that they do some fan fare.

While I still working on two web comic reviews I fiure it's time put out some news. I think after the Dow took that monster crash, days ago it seems the Federal Reserve comes to the rescue or does it. Hi there and I bring you another web comic review. Today's comic is called Tale of Ariea and I found this comic to be okay. We'll take a closer look at what make this one tick.

PROS: Excellent art work and cell shading. A interesting story about pirates, you don't see these too much online. The creators give you much to chew on with this site. They give detailed info on the creators and character bios.

CONS: The artists spoil you with superb colors and then go into cell shading which isn't bad...but what a let down. This site doesn't at first seem to have page load problems but after flipping through the archive I found some pages take awhile to load and sometimes you have to click the page buttons twice for it to download. I'm not 100% on this one,this could of been my mistake of fluke. Their "ABOUT" page still doesn't tell you a detailed synopsis of what this story is about. This comic links to a comic that sent my anti virus alarms off call Navcomic.com.

LAST WORD: Tale of Areia has some cool manga style art work and the story is interesting. The site has much to see and you should enjoy your visit.

OVERALL SCORE: 8.0

CONCEPT: 8.5

The Tale of Areia is the story about Fabraz and his family of sky pirates it looks to be one cool ride. (Yay) This idea isn't over used online.

ART: 9.5

Very good. These guys know there manga. They don't take the day off on the background ether.

COLORING OR SHADING: 9.0
The use of coloring was sparse but the cell shading is almost on the level of Wayrift.

WRITTING AND SPELLING: 10

The story is easy to follow and the spelling and grammar look good.

WEB PAGE LAYOUT: 9.0

The effort was definitely there. The background template looks cool and there is a lot of information to gleam from this site. It is nicely organized too. My only issue was with some of the page downloads. It wasn't bad but it was annoying at times. The basic info of what this comic is about was absent? Also this comic supports a site that sends red flags from my anti virus. It's called Navcomic.com

ENTERTAINMENT: 7.5

This is a nice comic but pirates aren't real big with me but after reading it some more the story started to give me some reasons to keep reading. I sense this story gets better as it goes on. Most people will enjoy the Tale of Aria, because the main characters are nutty.

POST FREQUENCY: 5.5
Once a week in cell shaded black white it just so so. A black and white with a team of artist should be able to produce 2-3 pages a week at least.

POPULARITY: 5.5

With a page rank of 4 and a twitter feed on the side bar; I see that they try to connect with the masses. Not sure how may readers they have but they recieved about 9 comments in there last few post.

Welcome again to another web comic review. Today's is Galaxion so enjoy!

PROS: Uses a not so overused art style, (Reminds me of Speed Racer or Vol tron figure drawing. Interesting characters and storyline. One of the easier sites to find all the info you need such what this comic is about, character bios and more.

CONS: It's not a lot action or humor in this one if that what you really like. There is dry humor and clever character banter but not that hysterical "that was some funny shiznit!" feel.

LAST WORD: Galaxion is a pure graphic novel type manga. Most readers that don't need jaw dropping stimuli (like me) should like this one. Don't get me wrong this comic was a nice read. It just doesn't have those elements that make me want see every last update.

OVERALL SCORE: 8.0

CONCEPT: 10

Galaxion is the name of a scientific survey star ship owned and operated by the Terran Space Association, and captained by Fusella Mierter . As the story begins, TerSA has made a deal with rival organization Interplanetary Patrol, giving the Galaxion over to General Scavina Nelson to test the new Nelson Drive engine (named after Scavina’s husband, who invented it and disappeared during the first test). While Fusella’s crew retain their positions, Scavina has assumed command of the Galaxion for the duration of the test flight. The story is well thought out.

ART: 9.5

As I said before the style reminds of Speed racer or Vol tron. It looks polished and the backgrounds are well done.

COLORING OR SHADING: 7.5

This is not one of the better cell shaded black and white comics like Wayrift or other Manga I've scene. It looks plain which may affect the finished art work. This isn't bad but it's just not good ether.

WRITING AND SPELLING: 10

This is one engrossing story, each character seems to bring a different dimension to this drama while making it easy to follow and understand. Spelling and grammar look fine.

WEB PAGE LAYOUT: 7.0

The website does what every web comic should do above else well, by making the flipping of each page painless with speedy page downloads. It is well organized and info is easy to find in this comic press template. This is not a real flashy site but it good to move quickly through a site for a change.

ENTERTAINMENT: 7.5

This where grading this was struggle. On one hand the story is nice, You have interesting characters and storyline which the creator does a good job. On the other hand this comic was slow for me or not funny. I am hard to please if a comic doesn't invoke some type of powerful emotion. There have been some comics like the "Death Note" that has not have much if any action or humor at all but has suspense off the charts. Hey, I'm a water sign I need that emotional kick.

POST FREQUENCY: 4.5

Every Tuesday once a week in black in white is average at best. I normally expect twice a week from a black and white especially when hardly no cell shading is used.

POPULARITY: 6.5

This comic boast a PR of 5 which it pretty damn good. I also see that Tarra does get 9 - 15 comments post (On going by here last three).
