Move an uploaded file to the folder using php

The move_uploaded_file() filesystem function in PHP will move an uploaded file, usually from the PHP temp folder to its permanent location on your server. This function takes two parameters. Parameter one is the file in its temporary location in the PHP temp folder, and the second parameter is the new path and the file name. "Path" means which folder you want to place the image into.

Basic Installation and Configuration:

Ubuntu Ctrl +Alt+T open terminal

Linux open command line.
Install PHP 5

sudo apt-get install php5-cli php5-fpm

Then, to install nginx, execute:

sudo apt-get install nginx

Ubuntu places nginx’s configuration files in /etc/nginx and its sub-directories. Shared configuration fragments are kept in that root, and specific server setups reside in sites-available with symlinks in sites-enabled to make them active.

Delete the symlink in sites-enabled, duplicate the default file in sites-available, and create a new symlink.

cd /etc/nginx
sudo rm sites-enabled/default
sudo cp sites-available/default sites-available/my-default
sudo ln -s /etc/nginx/sites-available/my-default sites-enabled/default

To have nginx proxy PHP requests to the FastCGI service, open the freshly duplicated configuration file and locate the section that starts with:

Uncomment the location line and it’s matching close brace, the fastcgi_split_path_info line, and the lines that pertain to running with php5-fpm. When you’re done, the section should look like this:

I’ve never really come across the need to use an interface, and usually just use inheritance to extend whatever class I needed to. Recently though I needed a generic base caching class, which would have other classes implement there own methods.

Exception handling is used to change the normal flow of the code execution if a specified error condition occurs. This condition is called an exception.

Basic Use of Exceptions

Note: Exceptions should only be used with error conditions, and should not be used to jump to another place in the code at a specified point.

When an exception is thrown, the code following it will not be executed, and PHP will try to find the matching “catch” block.

If an exception is not caught, a fatal error will be issued with an “Uncaught Exception” message.

When you are working with PHP, one way to represent data is to use a variable.
First let's review how to set a variable in PHP click

If you run this you will see:

As you can see, unlike a variable that only stores one value, you can list several values inside of the same array. We choose to list the first eight states (alphabetically) in our example. You will also notice that we used print_r instead of print or echo on our next line. Print_r is used to show the contents of an array. It is a very ugly way to actually display the contents of the array, but for testing and debugging it certainly does the trick.
