As someone near me observed this last week, "When the excrement hits the fan, everyone wants to duck." Conspiracies abound, and not the fun tin-foil kind, either... Let's see if the banks involved can cough up the necessary evidence to prove ownership, whether it prompts a movement for the nationalization of housing-affiliated businesses, and the resulting fallout following whatever disastrous conclusion is reached.

This sums up the lack of usual posts; to quote Rhett Butler, "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn." Economically, politically, socially, it's going to the dogs, and I've been focusing on things that improve my life in spite of the white-noise and shrill hyperattentive yammerings of the press and their masters.

So, like all things, the blog changes over time. The soapbox has lost a little of its shine, and I'm thinking hard about what I can do with it. Stay tuned; we're not stopping the music, just making variations on the theme.

By the end of the doctoring, everyone involved was bleeding; I sincerely wish that that cat would get a better grip on how much it can take on in a fight, and act accordingly.

On the bright side, not having to cope with abcessed wounds and/or stitches is a win in my book.
