Friends today I am here with an Interesting post how you can convert your 1gb memory card to 2gb.It becomes unbelievable when you here something like this but,now you try this trick yourself and see how it works. You can convert a 1GB memory card to 2 GB with the help of free software.
And here is the rest of it

  1) First of all we have to make sure that its a 1 GB memory card. This only works on 1GB and it supports only in some of the rare cases.

2) Now Backup all your data in that because we have to format the drive.

3) After backing up now open the Skimedi Fix 2GB Capacity application (Download here).

4) A small window will pop up showing the FIX and Cancel option. And you have to browse the drive where it is located (generally G: or L: drive for USB sticks)

5) After selecting the drive press on FIX and then the updating process will be followed up. It will ask your conformation whether you agree to format or not. click on yes.

6) Later it will ask to replug the device. Just replug the memory stick card and put it back. The size of the memory will be increased from 1Gb to 2Gb. you can see the properties before and after the cracking process.

7) After that you can also check the memory size in phone and also you can test the size by copying all the data to it which is around 2Gb.

You can reopen the Skimedi Fix and select the drive again where it shows us the size as 1912mb which is nothing but 2Gb.

MAY NOT WORK IN ALL MEMORY CARDS

Job Centre Online- Making Money Online Scams - Advertising - Online Advertising

Oh yes, there are so many making money online scams out there, is it scary. Do not fall prey to these ridiculous scams. If they say they have made thousands of dollars in the first couple of week, and did not have to do anything to get it, they are flat out lying. It takes time to build any online business and it takes hard work too.
Imagine owning your own business, being your own boss, working only a few hours a week, but still making lots of money - all from your own home.

Advertisements from working from home and other scams are bombarding television, radio and the internet. The public has the naive belief that these must be true because: there are laws against false advertising and our government wouldn't let them say it on TV, if it weren't true.

Those beliefs simply are not true. There are many scams and outright lies being advertised on television. The government must become aware of the scams and see it as serious enough to take action, but that could take years. Scammers know this and feel safe in spreading their scams on major television networks, the radio and the Internet!

You must protect yourself!

Be wary of work from home schemes where people are offering the possibility of working from home with the potential of earning thousands of dollars quick. An employment opportunity to work from your own home earning money which may be no more than stuffing envelopes, and to get the material to stuff the envelopes you have to send money, often to nothing more than a PO Box. In return you receive the information that you have to photocopy at your expense and then stuff the envelopes. Work from home schemes offers you the opportunity to earn thousands processing emails and are also be promoted through newspaper advertisements, direct mail or through unsolicited emails.

I want to recommend a training system, that I cannot speak highly enough about. It also starts you on the road to building your list and your income. Guess what? I want to help you succeed too! There are 2 key components to use SEO to create free traffic for your wordpress blog. In this article you will learn the basics of how SEO works and what tools you can use in your wordpress blog to maximize your traffic from the search engines.
It's this simple. If you want to be successful online you have to have traffic to your site. There are free ways to get traffic and there are ways to pay money to get traffic. Which kind of traffic do you want? If you said 'free traffic' then keep reading.

The main place to get free traffic is from search engines like Google, YouTube, Yahoo, etc... The way you get free traffic from these search engines is by ranking highly in places where people are searching for information.
It's like this. When people go to Google and search on any topic, you want your wordpress blog to be at the top of the list for that search. If your site is on the top of the list, you get the most traffic. It's that simple
WHAT IS SEO?
So the way you get to the top of the list is through SEO. SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. This means that the posts & pages of your blog are setup in a way that demonstrates that your page is relevant to what people are searching for.
It all comes down to RELEVENCE.
When you use Google, what makes them the number one search engine is the way they provide you with relevant content. Google is really good at providing a selection of websites that are relevant to what you are searching for.
If you want to be one of the top sites you have to be perceived as the most relevant for that search. The following core components will help you optimize your site.
KEY COMPONENT #1 - Onpage Optimization
Onpage optimization means that you make the individual pages of your website relevant to one specific keyword phrase. One of the most misunderstood concepts that I find is that people tend to think that you want to use as many keywords as possible on a page. It's simply NOT true.
In your wordpress blog, you want to make sure that each post has its own keyword phrase. So if you wrote an article about "puppy dog food". You would want to optimize the whole post with that ONE phrase.
The key places you want your keyword phrase "puppy dog food" to show up are the title, the body, the description, keywords, and tags. Don't try to game Google by "stuffing" keywords into the body of the post. Typically you want your keywords to show up no more than 5% or Google may start penalizing your post.
If I were to guess based on my experience, I would say that your onpage optimization is about 20% of your optimization strategy. So don't get too hung up on finding the exact percentage in your posts. Just write normally and reference your keyword a few times and you should be good.
Key Component #2 - Offpage Optimization
Offpage optimization includes everything that is NOT on your website. This mainly refers to your link building strategy.
There are two things you want to focus on for your offpage optimization. They are the Number and the Quality of your links.
NUMBER OF LINKSYou want to get the most links possible to your site. A few free ways to get inbound links are article marketing, leaving comments on other people's blogs, commenting in other forums related to your blog, and many more. Get as many links as you can, but avoid purchasing links or short cutting the process as you will likely be penalized for that also.
QUALITY OF LINKSThere are two things to look for in quality links. The first is to get your links from "high page rank sites". Sites with high page rank are considered "authority" sites, and so when they link to you it counts more. If you want to learn more about page rank just search Google for a definition.
The second part of creating quality links to your site is to use something called "anchor text". Anchor text is a link to your site that uses plain English instead of listing the url address. If you have ever clicked the words "CLICK HERE".... that is what anchor text.
Here's the important thing to understand... make your anchor text your keyword phrase. So if you published an article online you would want the link people click to your site to read 'Puppy Dog Food". This tells the search engines what that page is relevant to.
In summary, you want to make sure that each post or page on your wordpress blog is optimized for just one keyword phrase. You do this by putting the phrase in the title, description, body, tags, and keywords of your posts and pages. Secondly optimize your links coming into your site by getting links from sites with high page rank and using anchor text.

Is Free SEO Traffic the Best Traffic For Your Website?

The debate between Free SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and PPC (Pay Per Click) has been going on for a long time, but have you ever thought about it from the angle of traffic?
There are merits to both of these online marketing strategies and most people get the best results from combining them together, but you could argue that SEO traffic is better than the traffic paid for with PPC.
How Do Visitors Find Your Website?
Think of how visitors find your website through optimization efforts. You target the same keywords they are typing into the search engines while building your reputation with the top search engines.
You therefore become a natural recommendation from the search engines to those looking for information and products in your particular target niche. You appear in the SERPs because you are considered a valuable website offering exactly what these searchers are looking for.
Now think about how your website is found through pay per click advertising. You are on the SERPs, but not as a natural recommendation and not because you have established a top ranking reputation with the search engines. You show up in a specially designated area that many people know is for paid links put up for advertising purposes.

Getting Traffic With SEO Is Free and Easy.
When you take action to draw in SEO traffic you are also advertising, but many searchers don't understand how specific websites are recommended to them. They just know that the ones on the top and along the side are advertisements while the ones on the main list are in order of value. They go for those on the top of that list believing they are the best sites or the most reputable sites.
Free SEO Traffic Advertises Your Product or Service Too.
SEO traffic relies upon that belief, even if it does not always hold true. If the best sites that offer the most valuable information end up on top and your website hits the top, then you get lots of clicks. You get lots of SEO traffic from people interested in exactly what you have to offer.
Simply put, If you ain't got any traffic to your website it is dead! So why not put a little bit of time and expertise (SEO Tips & Tricks - we can show you how) at your website and reap all the benefits without the cost of a PPC campaign?
Free SEO Traffic to your website...It doesn't get any better than that.
We can develop semiconductor manufacturing in India since we have the chip design services available here and enormous high quality human resource. We should be able to leverage that to ensure that we can develop the semiconductor manufacturing sector in India.”
Shortmail is one of the few web apps I can remember adopting and finding genuinely useful in the past couple of years, so it deserves a more thorough accounting. Plus, I recently had the chance to talk to Jonathan Julian, one of the developers at 410 labs, and he explained to me some of the logic of Shortmail that I had been missing.
First, a disclaimer: Shortmail is one of those things that you have to try out for a while to really grok, and it's not for everyone.

And here is the rest of it

Use Case: Public-Facing E-mail
I have no idea how many people make their e-mail address available publicly, so that strangers can send them messages. But I suspect that almost every professional who wants to be reachable does. The proliferation of contact forms on the Web suggests that companies and individuals want to be reachable, but also want a way to filter out the spam.
Shortmail seems almost custom-tailored for this application. In the same way that anyone who is desperate to reach you could send you an @reply on Twitter, Shortmail provides a channel through which anyone can send you a note—but only up to 500 characters in length. It helps that your Shortmail account is by default http://blog.shortmail.com/2011/11/10-reasons-why-shortmail-is-better-than-texting/.
As someone who often gets much longer notes from complete strangers, I thought at first this would be a problem. But it turns out that if someone hasn't made their case in the first 500 characters, I'm not interested anyway. And because Shortmail is a separate channel from my personal email address, it's an automatic filter for an entire class of mail: First-time connections.
Use Case: Concision
Obviously, replying to people in an environment that demands I use only 500 words is its own time saver. Shortmail provides the perfect excuse for keeping everything brief. It's the psychology of exchanging messages with an @shortmail.com account, as much as anything, that gives everyone permission to be direct.
Use Case: The Get Things Done Approach to E-mail
I've always thought that adherents to the Inbox Zero faith—which demands that you file or reply to every e-mail you get, as soon as you read it—were a special breed. My own inbox is a confusing mess. (Of course, there's evidence that there's nothing wrong with neglecting the organization of your e-mail.)
Shortmail's interface has none of the advanced organizational features of most other Web mail providers, and at first I found it balky. Then I spoke with Jonathan Julian, one of the developers who works on Shortmail, and he said this is intentional.

In Shortmail, messages are viewed one at a time or in threads grouped solely by whom you're having the conversation with (rather than by particular chains of e-mails). You archive one at a time. It forces you to make simple binary decisions about every e-mail: Respond or banish. The result is that, despite my tendencies, my Shortmail inbox is at zero.
Shortmail apparently works really well with the stripped-down Mac OS email client Sparrow, though I haven't tried it. There's also an iOS client. Shortmail supports both IMAP and POP, so you can feed it into any desktop email client.
Use Case: "Open" Conversations
The shortmail team continues to add nifty features to their service, like contact forms for your website, markdown, and what the developers call open conversations. It's e-mail in public.
In general, Shortmail feels like a niche solution that might take off, or it might not. That's fine—I've been wondering for some time when we'll see more development firms take the 37Signals route to success rather than the Facebook route. That is, building a service that works for a subset of passionate users, instead of trying to become huge and all consuming and, let's face it, kind of awful.

Apple was warned as long ago as 2010 that the popular Gowalla location-sharing iPhone app was uploading users' address books without alerting them, Technology Review has learned.
This raises questions about why Apple didn't do then what it announced it would do yesterday. In a statement, the company said software upgrades for iPhones would be issued to protect users from the practice, which is forbidden.
Apple's statements follow a series of revelations over the past week concerning apps that access users' address books. The revelations began when an independent developer discovered that the two-million-user-strong social network Path collects users' address books, assembling vast collections of names, e-mails, and phone numbers without consent. Others found that some other popular apps, including the location-sharing services Foursquare and Gowalla, do the same. Transmitting and storing users' address books exposes them to an increased risk of their personal data being leaked, perhaps through an attack like the one that extracted credit-card details from Sony last year.

The criticism that followed these discoveries—compounded by evidence that Apple ignored a warning about such behavior from academic researchers in 2010—has led to calls for the company to alter iOS and reform its famously opaque application approval process.
In the longer term, all smart-phone operating systems may need more effective privacy controls to better explain what personal data they collect, and to let users opt out. Google's Android mobile operating system already requires apps to receive explicit permission to access contact books or other private data, but app makers do not need to explain how that information will be stored or used, and many users seem not to fully understand what they are handing over.
In 2010, graduate student Manuel Egele and colleagues at the University of California, Santa Barbara, used a tool called PiOS to scan 1,400 iPhone applications for signs that they leaked sensitive user data. PiOS flagged Gowalla's app because it stealthily uploaded a user's entire address book to the company's servers when a user viewed his or her list of phone contacts through the app.
That was a clear breach of user privacy, and of Apple's own rules for inclusion in the App Store, says Egele, now a postdoctoral researcher at UCSB. But when Apple was contacted about it, a series of representatives showed little interest, he says. "We even took screenshots that showed it was being sent unencrypted," he says. "They said, 'If you have a privacy concern, you should contact the developer.' " Egele and colleagues presented a peer-reviewed paper on the work, including an account of their Gowalla finding, last year.
Apple did not reply to inquiries about the 2010 incident. But its first public statement on the address-book saga, made yesterday, implied that it had only just become aware of the issue.
Sooner or later, Apple may have to make more significant changes, says Ty Rollin, chief technology officer of Mobiquity, a large app development agency in Wellesley, Massachusetts. The existing design of iOS made what Path and others did "easy," he says, and it doesn't seem to safeguard personal data. Apple should add detailed privacy settings that provide fine-grained control over what different apps can do with the data on a phone, similar to those provided for Facebook apps, says Rollins. "That needs to happen to phones, too," he says. "I don't know why they're taking this piecemeal approach now. Maybe they were trying to maintain this pristine interface."
Apple has a reputation for tightly controlling what users can do with their mobile devices and for enforcing strict rules on which apps are permitted into the App Store. Yet in the case of Path, and some other apps, it did not seem to impose those rules. That is problematic, because Apple has chosen to rely on those rules to protect users from an app's behavior, rather than on technical features built into iOS. Technically, an iOS app could access other personal data, including photos, music playlists, recently viewed videos, and a device's unique IMEI identifier, which can be used for ad tracking. No one has yet reported that any popular apps improperly use that data, however.
Within the startup community, ready access to user data has been seen as a powerful tool, says Aza Raskin, cofounder of mobile health startup Massive Health. That perception may now change. "The more you know about someone, the better the feature set can be," he says. "Privacy is sadly something that most people don't think about [because] there isn't enough consumer demand." Path and others copied address books so they could inform their users when friends also joined and encourage more use of their social networks.
Apple's aura of control may have convinced developers, security researchers, and users that personal data was being handled properly. "We're seeing some of the disadvantages of a closed ecosystem," says Raskin. "If that was a Web product, this would have been discovered long ago."
Google takes the opposite approach with the Android Market. It doesn't actively vet apps, but instead has built features into the operating system that make the data that apps can access transparent to a user. In practice, however, this may not provide much better protection than iOS does.
Although an Android user is asked to approve the data that an Android app can access, many people hurriedly tap "OK" rather than reading that list as they rush to try out their new app, says Adrienne Porter Felt of the University of California, Berkeley. She and colleagues are writing up the results of a study of how people handle Android app permissions. "Most people don't pay attention to them. A small amount of people do, about 17 percent," says Porter Felt. Studies on security warnings in browsers and on Microsoft Windows have shown that repeated exposure to such warnings dulls their impact.
There are 174 different types of permission that Android apps are required to ask for, says Porter Felt, compared to just two on iOS—for apps that want location access or that want to send push notifications.
Raskin of Massive Health says that Apple now has an incentive to develop a fundamentally new method of user privacy controls—one that does not bombard them with dialogs or present a complex panel of options. "This is something where they can really push the bar forward."
Apple may be motivated by more than the bad press triggered by the Path case. Two members of the U.S. House of Representative's Energy and Commerce Committee wrote to Apple CEO Tim Cook yesterday to ask a series of questions about the access that apps can have to users' contact data. The U.S. Federal Trade Commission has become increasingly interested in what tech companies do with user data in recent years, and it could conceivably decide that Apple has neglected its responsibility to protect users. Last autumn, both Google and Facebook agreed to 20 years of regular privacy audits by the FTC after the commission charged them, separately, of "deceptive" use of private data.
The best jobs are always the jobs that provide you with the solutions you need. Some writers are looking only for recognition, fame, and fans, those writers often benefit from the small income gains you can get from writing for blogs and pay-per-view article sites. In addition, those sites provide communities that writers can be involved in, to increase their popularity.

And here is the rest of it

Other writers may be looking for something a little more complicated, and SEO content positions, though low-paying, rarely require any sort of real experience or degrees, but you can write as many as you can get out per day and pay is often weekly for those types of projects. Writers seeking paying positions that can provide the best pay for their work, writers with degrees and experience in their fields, often find that the best paying jobs are for content writing, academic writing, and ghostwritin g sites.
Many writers are impressed by how easy it is to become a writer these days, publish to any old site and suddenly any writer is verifiable professional after the first $2.00 commissions fee hits their brand new PayPal account; but if you need more than a few dollars a month, you need to work for an organization that can keep the orders coming, keep the pay coming, and keep you working. These types of jobs are hard to find, it can be difficult to understand which organizations are real, large enough, and dedicated to your income base. You need to do your homework before taking online writing positions, and this can be much easier than you can imagine.
Your first step, when researching potential online writing positions, is to assess the request of the organizations. First, any company requesting you pay first, should be avoided at all costs, unless you are sure there is some reason why you would make more money paying them, it isn't a very good idea to give someone money for a job. There are even free online mystery shopper positions, real ones.
Second, if your company is a real company, they are going to want your CV or Resume along with samples, to determine if you are qualified for a job. However, do not be fooled by organizations that just ask you to email these somewhere, because well-developed and organized companies have their sites set up to make the application process easier, you can submit all of your information right to the site for approval. In addition, no organization should ever ask for your private identification (social security numbers) until after you are hired, and even then, you should be sure before providing any of that information. Finally, you can research any organization using their name and a.com registry. You can also do research on organizations using search engines, asking other writers, and asking specific questions of the people you have applied to, using patience due to the current economy most places are overwhelmed by the number of applications they are receiving daily.

While most blog software is more search engine friendly out of the box than many web sites, the opportunities for blog optimization are readily available.

Here are 10 tricks that will increase your visibility in search engines and eventually drive more traffic to your blog.

1) Use keywords in your blog post titles - This is a given for SEO. Most blogging software uses the post title as the url so take advantage of it.

Example: "10 SEO Tricks to Attract More Traffic to your Blog - Search Engine Journal"Search Engine Journal is included on every blog post title tag automatically.

2) Optimize your blog categories - When you create categories for your blog, be sure to use keywords in the titles. When you post, be sure to default to a general category that is relevant no matter what the post is about. Choose multiple categories on each post when appropriate. This will create a "SEO-friendly" url for each post you make..

3) Syndicate your blog - Make it easy for people to subscribe to your blog. Sign-up with a free service like Feedburner and then create a "syndication" area on your site.

4) Offer RSS to email. Anywhere from 10% to 40% of your blog traffic can come from individuals that perfer to read blog posts via email. RSS readers and aggregators can be confusing. Adding email services to your blog isn't. There are several free services available for this including: FeedBlitz, Squeet, and Zookoda.

5) Ping blog search engines - This can be configured with blog software such as Movable Type or WordPress to work automatically. If you're using Blogger.com, then you can do this manually with Pingomatic.com or Pingoat.com.

6) Make comments on other blogs. Your name will be linked to the blog url that you enter. Don't make comments that offer no value to the blog post. Don't use keywords in the field for your name, use your name or blog name.

7) Submit your blog directories. Also submit the blog to regular directories such as (DMOZ, JoeAnt, GoGuides, Google Blog Search, etc) that have categories for blogs.

8) Targeted advertising - Now this doesn't really drive traffic to your site but will make you money. It's possible by using Google AdSense to display highly targeted ads on your blog. Once you've setup an account and placed the ads on your site, just sit back and watch the cash come in. Cha-ching.

9) Snatch up hot keywords - Now before you place ads on your blog, be sure your keyword density is good for the right terms. A great tool to improve your traffic for high-paying keywords is to use a product called Keyword Elite ().

10) Use track backs - If there is a blog that you refer to or quote and it is highly relevant to your subject, leave a track back. It increases your link popularity and may even score a few interested readers from the linked site. A TrackBack is a mechanism used in a blog to show, around an entry, a list of other blogs that refer to it.

SummaryThe important thing to remember is that no matter how many optimization tactics you employ with a blog, there is no substitute for quality content. Blog optimization is only as effective as the quality and usefulness of the content you're optimizing. So do not limit yourself to tips and lists. Use your imagination and you will come up with thousands of ways to drive traffic to your blog!

This Valentine, Send your Loved One a Google Search Query

The Heart Equation for Google
When you put any Math equation in Google, it will try to plot of a graph of that equation just like your scientific calculation. And one such equation, listed below, renders a heart curve that you can pass on to your Valentine.
To give it a try, just copy-paste the following query in Google.

sqrt(cos(x))*cos(300x)+sqrt(abs(x))-0.7)*(4-x*x)^0.01,
  sqrt(6-x^2), -sqrt(6-x^2) from -4.5 to 4.5

thanks ..please share this site

How to save your moile phones battery life

It is very essential to know and understand the behavior and aspects of your phone’s battery because that same thing is going save your money of replacing the battery again and again after few months. We chose this topic because the quires of most the people were always related to battery life. We hope the below discussed points will help you in saving your battery life and also your money.

Here some of the most common myths and their actual facts:

Myth: A Lithium Ion battery comes with memory loose effects and should be run until it is complete drained to increase the life of the battery.

Fact: In real it’s nothing like that because both lithium ion and lithium polymer batteries have such technology that is very different than the ordinary solid cathode and anode batteries wherein the electrons run here and there. Unlike this solid metal batteries the li-ion batteries have cathodes and anodes that has the ability to host these ions. So the ultimate result is – no memory loss in li-ion batteries.
But it uses a digital memory where circuit within the battery links to the phone and doesn’t recalibrate accurately and sometimes it happens that a false reading is given to the phone and that results in lowering the battery life pretty sooner than expected. In order to avoid this problem you should completely recharge and even discharge you battery once in a month.

Myth: Keeping the phone constantly charged is positive thing in order to keep your battery life good for a longer time.

Fact: The real fact is that li-ion batteries are not so good when it comes to high temperature and if you keep you device charged for a longer time even after it is fully charged, the battery life will be affected and soon you will have to change your battery. However the new batteries can be kept charged for a longer time until and only if you keep it under cool temperature.

Myth: Lithium ion batteries can be charged only for 350 to 500 times and then they go low with performance.
Fact: This is true that li-ion batteries are good up to 350 to 500 charges, but the catch here is – one charge full is counted as one! So to avoid this don’t always charge fully or drain the battery completely. These batteries are happy when you charge them for till 70 to percent. If you continue doing this be assured your phone will run on the same batteries for 2 to 3 years. However the above mentioned trick to keep your battery memory sharp should also be followed. And a complete charge and discharge once in a month will not affect you battery life at all
.
Myth: Batteries should be kept full or completely depleted for keeping it unused for a longer time.

Fact: The appropriate way preserve your battery life while keep it unused for a longer time, just discharge it up to 40 percent and keep it in cool place like your refrigerator. Sounds crazy but it is quite meaningful. When the battery is preserved with full charge the capacity of battery decreases and even worst will happen if you preserve it with completed depleted.

Myth: Quick charging devices will not do any harm to your Li-ion batteries.

Fact: In reality the truth is that faster chargers are bad for the health of your battery. These charger definitely chargers your battery faster but slowly and slowly you will come to know that the juice in the battery will be performing duller eventually and soon you will running out of battery instantly after a full recharge.

Have a 15 year old who constantly goes online to not so nice places? With a few simple steps you can add a simple deterrent that could keep the surfing of filthy material under control.

And here is the rest of it

                1

Every 15 year-old knows how to delete the internet history list (tools>>>clear private data) to keep you from seeing what they see. In order to stop this here is a list of free software you can use to keep their filthy minds back to watching cinemax.
Use PicBlock.

Pickblock blocks porn images by detecting the amount of flesh tones in images. Since the software is not based on offensive keywords list or known URLs, PicBlock may not be a substitute for your content filtering software.

TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) had re-enforced the DND (Do Not Disturb) service quite strictly across India recently. This resulted in a drastic reduction in the SMS received from the spamming companies. This also resulted in reduction of unwanted telemarketing calls which is a huge relief.

And here is the rest of it

However, this might have relieved many but also unsettled many as I stopped getting the confirmation of online purchases (example – order tracking sms, order delay sms, etc). I also found issues while reaching out to service centers of popular brands. Example, When I called the Samsung to get my washing machine repaired, I heard an automated reply mentioning ‘If you are registered for DND, Samsung will not be able to call you.’. Thus, this caused a delay in getting my complaint with Samsung resolved and I de-redistered from DND.

To de-register from DND, send STOP 0 to 1909. This is toll free and you are not charged for anything. Once you send the SMS, you receive another SMS from 1909 asking you to confirm the de-registration process by replying with just a ‘Y’.
To register again with DND, Send START 0 to 1909.

You can also register/de-register for categorized DND as show below. Send STOP <Option> to 1909 to stop a categorized service.

Now a days many persons make use of their iPhone, BlackBerry and other PDAs to browse the Internet via their terminals and most of them have not yet consider making use of an Antivirus software to protect them.

Why?
Note that your mobile phone can be prone to a malware infection, just like your PC or Laptop, when connected to the internet, these software can be be harmful to the operating system of the phone, applications, personal information, contacts and so on.

And here is the rest of it

Is this necessary?

Actually there are only a few viruses and worms for mobile phones, but who knows what will happen in the future.

What are the risks?

Data loss

Recovery of corrupted files,

Convey private information without your knowledge,

Empty your battery in seconds.

The 15-digit IMEI number is an electronic fingerprint transmitted every time a phone is used, which reveals the identity of the mobile handset.

How you can find IMEI number of your mobile?
IMEI numbers are independent of the phone number and are usually written underneath the
battery or on the back of the handset.

And here is the rest of it

Generally you remove your battery of your cell & you can see it on your mobile.
Mobile phone users can also check their 15 digit IMEI number by dialing *#06# on their mobile handset. All Mobile phone owners should make a note of their IMEI number and keep the details in a safe place.

If u have lost your mobile, send an e-mail to cop@vsnl.net with the following info.
It’s a great place to search and find things that we do not know about. The beauty of Google is its all powerful algorithm that executes billions of search queries. In addition to showing top notch search results, Google’s algorithm has a few interesting features.
We’ll be taking a look at a few tips that can help us tap into the full power of Google.

And here is the rest of it

World Time

Want to know what’s the current local time in a city across the globe? Google can help you.

Currency Conversion

You wont have to go WSJ‘s web page or use a mobile app. Google can tell you the real time currency conversion rates.

Unit Conversion

The following search strings can help you convert units pretty quickly. You can try out a lot more on your own.

Searching for related websites

The catch is that you will have to use the Julian date format and you can know more about it here.

Phonebook Search

Definitions

Want to know the politically correct definition for a term? There is a string for that!

Calculator

Google can be a great calculator if you like using your keyboard and not a mouse pointer in the native calculator app of the operating system.

Wildcard Search

But there is a ray of hope shining bright for the users after facebook has finally decided to react.

Over the past few months facebook was hit hard with spams and scams which infected many facebook users. This has pressurized facebook security team to introduce new security measures to help their users.

This post will discuss in detail about the facebook security features that you should use to protect your account.

Lets start from the basics,

Change Your Facebook Login Password

If you have been hit hard by the facebook spams then make this a necessary line in your checklist.

Login to facebook with your old password.

Click Account > Account Settings > Click change besides Password (3rd line).

Enter your old password followed by your new STRONG password twice.

Click Change Password and you have finished the first step to protection.

And here is the rest of it

Use Secure Connection to Browse Facebook.

Read More about Secure Connection on Facebook

Click Account Settings > Account Security.

Tick “Browse Facebook on a secure connection (https) whenever possible”.

Click Save.

Login Notifications for Unauthorized Logins

This feature notifies the account owner when an unauthorized login is attempted and is successful. There are two modes of notification, one is by Email and other is by Mobile SMS. I prefer to activate both since you would rarely check your email.

Click Account Settings > Account Security.

Under Login Notifications, Tick Send me an email and Send me a text message.

Click Save.

Login Approval for Each Facebook Login Attempt.

This is a new account security feature by facebook named Two Factor Authentication. This is one of the best inventions that I can think of by facebook security team. The feature works like this, You add your phone number to facebook and then every time you login to facebook using your password the servers sends you a onetime verification code to your mobile as SMS, This is a tedious task but it is a strong way to secure your account from invalid and unauthorized login attempts.

Click Account Settings > Account Security.

Under Login Approvals, Tick “Require me to enter a security code sent to my phone”.

Click Save.

How to Detect Un-Authorized Logins to Your Account

Click Account Settings > Account Security.

Check the “Most Recent Activity and “Your recognized devices:”

If you recognize any unrecognized activity click End and Change your password.

Clean Out Spam Apps

Over the time you may have tried and tested many facebook apps some (many) of which may be spam apps, So now its time to clean up those dirty devils.

Go to Account >Privacy Settings.

You will be given a list of Apps you are using, Remove the Spam App by clicking the X near the app.

I recommend you remove all the apps and start afresh.

Edit Your Interests

If you were hit by the spam then you might have liked a lot of spam facebook pages which helps them to spread the spam virally. These pages accumulate in your profile in the My Interests Section.

Go to your profile.

Click Edit Profile.

Remove the spam pages from your account.

WARNING : Facebook has limited the pages that can be liked to 500 per account, So eliminate all the spam and unwanted pages from your profile.

Report to Facebook

If you think you were a victim of account hacking then you can report to Facebook directly at this address : privacy@facebook.com

If your account has been compromised and taken over by a phisher then report the page @ Facebook Phished Account Report. Like if you write about social media then make sure you mention social media in your author bio.

Who is going to read your author bio?

Make sure you find out the answer of the above question. Because it will help you to write better bio about yourself, the bio that you use for one blog can be different that you use for other blog because of the audience.

Make your bio as much interesting you can by answering some normal questions that everybody asks like, what do you do, where do you live, your hobbies etc. If you have some interesting fact to share that relates ti what you do then use it, right away.

Author bios are short by its nature. So there is no need to write a full page bio about yourself because no one is going to read it. Keep it short around 90 to 110 words and make it as much interesting you can make.

If you liked this post then please spread a word about this post and also please share your valuable opinion about this post in below comment section…

6 Ways To Get More From Your Twitter Account

You could be tweeting wrong! Twitter is one of the fastest growing social networks and transforming the ‘wrong’ into ‘right’ is challenging here. Learning how to use Twitter can be one of the best decisions to be taken by an online business person. So, why not take the challenge and find out the six better ways that can help you get more from your Twitter account. Revamp your approach but first – let’s find out how!

No matter how much you deny, your followers always love the words such as ‘offer’, ‘deliver’ and ‘provide’. Make sure your twitter account is always into offering some information, discount, sample, advice, promotion or just anything that claims ‘value’ – all these come back to you in form of returns. If what you have to offer is worthwhile, making sense and sufficing their motive of following you, they will spread your words. Analyzing customer interests and market research will make a difference to what you have been seeking out of your Twitter account so far. By this you can also increase your Twitter followers.

Your Twitter handle needs optimization – treat it as if it was a domain and apply the same rules for optimizing your Twitter account. Choose something memorable or something that relates to your brand by tweeting with optimized keywords; avoid using underscores between words. Your username character limit is best when kept around 10 or less. Use abbreviations and acronyms in case you are facing difficulties in finding a suitable username.

Your Twitter account also gives you the opportunity to come up as a writer. Putting your idea forward or offering information in the most innovative way within strict deadlines of 140 characters is not easy. Simply updating the URLs or quoting information will make you look like a computer so ensure that you wrap the information with your creative writing skills and here 140 characters should not haunt you! Be responsive and keep communicating.

And this completely depends on you! Comment on breaking news or on your niche – your tweets are a reflection of your flavor and news diet since time relevance generates interest. If you can’t be quick then let it go but you can’t afford to spare yourself next time on this! Encourage re-tweets.

Google simply loves Twitter and other microblogging sites – search engine indexes Twitter streams in real-time. Your followers are seeing just a bit of your writing skills limited in 140 characters. But if you can write well, a blog will extend your wings as a writer and in the process of touching new heights you will also promote your blogs and increase traffic.

Lastly, when you have decided to seek the best out of your Twitter account, you have almost chosen to make it an important part of your virtual life. Use Twitter for learning and motivating yourself to do better and learn about new trends in the cyberspace. Remember, if you are not learning and updating then you are not gaining!

If you want your updates to break through the clutter, make more followers and create a Twitter account that you can make more out of. Following these steps will cultivate more followers that will encourage you to get more out of your Twitter account. Twitter makes you feel among a community of writers to help you gain attention and also earn money. Potential connection comes second, value comes first!

Defining Hashtags for Local Business

For most local business owners, the term ‘hashtag’ isn’t new to them by any means; yet if you asked many local business owners, they might not be able to tell you exactly what a hashtag is or how to use them. But the truth of the matter is—they can really help boost your business in a variety of ways.

Per Twitter’s help page, a hashtag is defined as:

The # symbol, called a hashtag, is used to mark keywords or topics in a Tweet. It was created organically by Twitter users as a way to categorize messages.

In a nutshell, hashtags can be used by small businesses to promote, get found, spread messages, research the competition, and more to boost their local business, research and educate themselves about current industry trends, and generate buzz to build brand identity and expert status throughout the Internet.
Read up on how to use hashtags on Twitter. Twitter has some great information about how to use hashtags in their online help center. There’s also some great info about hashtags and best practices on the Twitter Fan Wiki pageUse relevant keywords and find out what hashtags are being searched on so you can use them for your local business. Hashtag.org is a great resource to find out what some of the current trends are and to identify if your hashtag is currently being searched on. Use keywords that are relevant for your local business in hashtags for an added boost in ‘findability’ for your business.Use hashtags for promotions and customer engagement. There are some great success stories for businesses around the use of hashtags in an article on a Fox Business News website. For example, a non-profit farmer group, the Vineyard Team, uses Twitter with great success to spread the word about events for their SIP the Good Life division, a division created to “spread the word about their sustainable programs beyond farmers”.Make sure you have a public account. When you have a public account, if you Tweet using a hashtag, then anyone who does a search for that hashtag could find your tweet. With a private account, only your followers can find you.Don’t try to spam with hashtags or work the system You don’t want to distract readers from overdoing it with hashtags, nor do you want to turn them away by spamming. It’s recommended to use no more than 3 hashtags per Tweet.Don’t use irrelevant hashtags. Again, stick to relevant hashtags for your business. You don’t want to mislead your readers or confuse them with irrelevant hashtags.

Using hashtags can help you promote your business and get found online, which means increased leads and sales for your local business. Do your own research and create a game plan to optimize hashtags and Twitter for your small business today.

7 Tips To Write Awesome “HOW TO” Posts

The reason why How-To posts are very popular is simply because nobody really wants to read long paragraphs of content, especially if English isn’t their first language – hence the reason why step-by-step instructions constructed in succinct sentences and easy-to-understand English is popular across the world. Today, I will share some simple tips with you on how to write awesome how-to posts.

Before you can bestow knowledge unto others, you would have to do a fair amount of legwork first, so pick a niche matter that you feel passionate about and digest as much information as you can. Once you’ve selected your niche, you can then unleash an entire barrage of How-To topics related to said topic.

For instance, if you happen to like baking, you could write a whole tome of How-To instructions, such as How to Bake A Cake and Eat It, How to Whip Egg Whites and How to Bake Egg Tarts. Once you’re done exhausting your supply of recipe knowledge, you can then go off tangent and discuss other kitchen-related matters as well, such as How to Select the Perfect Tomato or How to Slice a Strawberry. Think outside of the box, and you will never experience writer’s block.

If you don’t write it, no one can read it so once you’ve collected an entire wealth of information, you need to then begin practise writing down everything that you know regarding the subject matter. At this point of writing, it is much more important to get the facts and instructions down before even worrying about the title of your articles.

While it may seem daunting or difficult at first, the wonderful thing about jotting things down regularly is that you will eventually find your very own writing voice which you are comfortable with.

We know that only approximately 27% people in the entire world speak English, so you would probably want to keep your instructions as simple and clear as possible to help make it easier for others to follow your article. After all, a successful How-To article is one which allows others to successfully perform a task after reading your written instructions.

In recent years, the heaviest media users on the Internet happen to be children and younger adults, so it is best to keep your articles as interesting, light and easy to read to cater to a larger audience.

Chances are pretty high that if someone loads your article page, it is very likely that he or she is already interested in the topic at hand. However, to keep them coming back for more and to encourage them to read further on, you will have to catch their attention earlier on in the article. Like the rest of your article, your introduction should also be simple and easy to understand.

Great introductions might include benefits on why they should learn all about your How-To instructions or it might simply include interesting facts about the subject matter.

Conclusions are important for two reasons, the first being that visitors who are too lazy to go through 12 steps of instructions would prefer to read summaries. The second reason why conclusions are important is because it can act as a call-to action, meaning that this is where you can further encourage your readers to follow through with your instructions.

Nobody really wants to take instructions from someone who can’t even spell right or string proper sentences together, so be sure to double check your writing before publishing the story for the entire World to see. Besides typing errors and grammatical mistakes, you would also want to make sure that all of your articles are clear enough to prevent any misunderstanding or confusion. We recommend taking a couple of hours break away from your article and then coming back to look at it again. Alternatively, you might also want to ask your friend to look through the article for you.

The more articles you write, the better you’ll get at conveying information and instructions. So do try to keep a regular schedule and actively post as many How-To articles as you can to gain an exponential increase in readership. Social media includes web-based and mobile technologies that allow users to talk, participate, share, bookmark, network and more. It is indeed a social instrument of communication. Forums and Online Communities, Blogs, Facebook, Twitter – all these are called social media. Companies ought to follow consumers where they head to. People read blogs, give comments, share content in various blogs, forums and social networks. The reason why all businesses need to have a social media strategy is because it prevents sending a wrong signal or a mixed signals and emphasizes why social media is relevant to your business’ overall goals. You can have a brand/fan page on almost every popular social network however you also need to keep in mind as to who will be your audience and reach them where they are. It is also important to ensure that these media give a good opportunity for you to connect with your customers and vice versa. Here’s a practical approach to developing a social media strategy for your business for the year 2012.

1. How much is the effect: One brand or fan page in Facebook or a Digg bookmark won’t create a difference so try a combination of tools.

2. Online presence: Today there are a range of platforms like laptops, smartphones, tablets and desktop. Get to know how your consumers are using their mobile phones and its related apps. Also have a check on the online presence you create in these platform for your consumers.

3. Security measure: The Single sign-on, also called convergence has simplified the interaction on social networks. Users now have lesser passwords to remember as they can access websites using Facebook or Twitter. But convergence has paved the way for hacking to hackers as it is easy to get more information with less passwords to get in the way. The same treat poses even for mobile users. You need to earn trust and consistency from your customers and this is a major factor which will influence your business in the e-commerce world.

4. Online sales: Today, in Facebook we can find online shops of so many businesses selling different products and services paving the way for online sales. Keep a watch on the share your consumers make on products they like and purchase. As your online customers participate more, your brand is valued more. Shared experiences can improve your products and services.

5. Establish relationships: When you have an opportunity to attend conferences or events related to your industry, make the best use of it to strengthen existing relationships and also create a new network. There might be people who have hidden their identity with an avatar in social networks and through these events you get a chance to meet in person.

6. Measure Success and Presence: These are the actions which you need to measure like Brand presence.Take a note of the fan count for your Facebook page, follower count on Twitter, comment count in blog and forum. This tells you about your brand presence across various media.

7. Traffic and Response: Take a note of the number of links from other websites to your brand’s URL. Also take care of Comment response for brand. Take a note of the positive and negative feeback about your brand. Both are required for upgrading.
