Extreme Makeover : Foreclosure Edition

With the economy hitting an all time low and the housing market in the crapper, ABC's hit juggernaut Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, gives deserving and usually impoverished families a completed, safe and always spectacular home , where the would not be able to acquire if not for the show. But with the recent outbreaks of foreclosures and lawsuits, maybe they should change the name to Extreme Makeover: Home Debt Edition.
It all started with the Harper Family.....................
Patricia and Milton Harper, head of the Atlanta Based family of 5

got there Extreme Makeover wish granted in 2005. When they were done, the home dwarfed all the ranch and split-level structures in neighboring lots.
Also, Beazer Homes' employees and company partners raised a quarter-million dollars in contributions for the family. Which included scholarships for the three Harper children and a home maintenance fund. But the Harpers...well the "ADULTS" used there new home as collateral for a 450,000 dollar loan on a new construction business and of course when that didn't pan out, the house goes!........Doesn't anyone watch the news on one of those huge flat screens that they gave you? Housing and Construction market has been in a downward spiral for over a year!
A representative of ABC sent out an e-mail: "'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition' advises each family to consult a financial planner after they receive their new home. Ultimately, financial matters are personal, and we work to respect the privacy of the families." Whats more, the Mayor for the town said It's aggravating," ,"It just makes you mad. You do that much work, and they just squander it."
We agree!.....who the hell takes out a loan for that much against a house? A house that you had no chance of getting in your lifetime. You have been given this great opportunity and people have given their time and money for you to have a better life, and this is what you do with it.
I feel sorry for the kids, because they are really who suffer in this....they now went from poverty to living the like and back to poverty because of the actions of adults.

NEXT UP......The Herbert Family
When Eric Hebert of Sandpoint, ID got the unexpected call a year ago that his sister had died, leaving her twin children orphaned, he became father to his niece and nephew.

Eric Hebert said maintaining the home is too expensive and time-consuming as he raises his late sister's 11-year-old twins, Keely and Tyler.
Hebert is worried that community members who helped build his home in November 2006 will think he is selling it to make a profit.
"I'm doing it not to lose money," he said. "I just hope people understand the reality of it."
Hebert is single, works full-time in construction and spends most evenings taking the kids to baseball and soccer practice. He said he wants to enjoy his time with his niece and nephew, whose mother, Francine Hebert, died in 2004 of a heart attack at age 37.
Maintaining the 3,600-square-foot home is expensive, he added. Since moving in, Hebert said, his bills have tripled.
Sullivan Homes co-owner Lori Sullivan said she understands Hebert's plight. Sullivan Homes was the primary contractor on the project. A number of other contractors from Bonner County and the Spokane area also helped, along with hundreds of local volunteers.
"It's too bad it's a burden for him," Sullivan said. "We're sad for Eric."
Hebert said he would not trade the "Extreme Makeover" experience for anything. He believes it has changed his life and the children's for the better, citing their opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C., meet many caring people in the community and own the home.
But he said he doubts he will ever again live in such a nice home.
The house and the one-acre property it sits on are listed for sale for $529,000. Hebert also owns another two acres adjacent to the home and has listed that property for $160,000.
Hebert said he loves the home's layout and its private location, but after six months of thinking about what to do, he said he had to be realistic.

NEXT UP......The Kirkwood Family

This is a little different, as this is not a case of unable to pay for house, but rather, unable to fix there marriage.Dawne and Michael and their five children — received their Extreme Makeover in 2005 after they were living in cramped conditions due to black mold infesting their home. Dawne and Michael divorced this past August, forcing them to sell the house.

This home in Port Orchard, Washington, must now be sold due to the states community property law.....So you know that that means......assets must be halved between the spouses.
Even while living in such a home, Dawne Kirkwood has attempted to hold employment on top of raising her children — Michael Orion, 18, Jael, 14, Zion, 9, and Praize, 7, as well as Burgundi, 21. Michael has since moved to Tennessee, Kirkwood said.
Because of back property taxes, money owed to lawyers and life's expenses, selling the home has become the Kirkwoods' only option, she said.
Kirkwood said she wishes now that the home would have been placed into a trust for her children, and that they should own it. It was, after all, Kirkwood's daughter, Jael, who came up with the idea of writing to ABC. Mold and environmental dangers were threatening not only their home, but their lives.

On a more sad note comes the Byers Family
The family of four, which includes cancer patient Jenessa “Boey” Byers as well as her severely asthmatic brother.

Unfortunately Jenessa lost her battle with cancer and passed away, added to that
there's still $250,000 left on the old mortgage that they have to pay and then they have to start paying the property taxes on the new value of the home because it's a lot more than the old home was. They have started a fund for donations to help them stay in the home, but unless they get enough donations....they have to leave

Next Up....The Marerro Family
Billy Joe Marrero was one of three Camden, New Jersey children who were followed by ABC's "20/20" for 18 months as part of a documentary on children growing up in poverty, which aired in January of 07.After the show aired the family was nominated for an "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition." and they were selected. The show gave single father Victor Marrero and his 5 sons a new home and about a year later , they put it up for sale....for 1 million dollars! (they have since taken it off the market!)

The Family moved into their new home on Federal Street in Pennsauken. In addition, the builder J.S. Hovnanian of Mount Laurel set aside $59,000 to help with bills according to Marrero. But celebrity can have its down side, and Marrero says he started getting bills he never knew he owed from years ago.
Marrero explains, "As soon as I moved in here, within a month a got bills way back from 1994 when I had my bypass. And they were saying they were going to put a lien on the house, so most of that money went to paying bills."
Marrero says it's an expensive home to operate and gas and electricity bills run between $700and $1200 a month. Property taxes are over $6,000. The nest egg, he says, is gone.
Marrero, who is on disability (due to his heart condition), says 3 of his 5 sons are now working to help out.
Also, they recieved additional support.......Rutgers University, the state university of New Jersey, has granted the five sons free tuition upon application and acceptance to the university. In addition, Margaret Marsh, provost of the Camden campus, said students have volunteered to tutor the sons. Acme Markets Inc. donated groceries for the family, filling their refrigerator and pantry. They also presented the Marreros with a $1,000 check for more food.As Tom Tobin, store director for the Acme store in Moorestown and Maple Shade, shook hands with the boys, he offered guaranteed jobs to the three sons over 16 years of age. (but we all know a handshake isn't a contact!).
In addition to education and food, Audrey Shapiro, director of public relations with Burlington Coat Factory, announced the company has donated 166 pieces of clothing to the family. She also handed Victor Marrero two new hats to wear and a surprise gift for him to give to his sons.The Marreros have also been given the opportunity to receive VIP treatment at the first home game of the Eagles football team. Three of the National Football League team's cheerleaders were on hand to give a little cheer and Leo Carlin with the Eagles invited the family to the team's training.Comcast Corp. has donated one year of their "Triple Play" services, which include digital voice, cable television and high-speed Internet. Commerce Bank had hundreds of volunteers on site during the build, as well as donating food to the workers and setting up the family fund to accept credit cards online and in-person at any of their locations.Tyson donated chicken to the family and $20,000 in chicken and meat to the City of Camden food bank, as well as $5,000 worth of coupons to the Marrero family for future Tyson purchases.Saladworks, who participated in the build and donated food, gave the family one year of free salads at any of their locations. Dad's Deli and Catering in Marlton donated food for the VIP tent and has also offered free meals to the family.Also during the press conference, Sam Martin, of Martin Insurance Company, gave the family insurance for the next three years.
The Urban Promise Ministries located next door ( who also donated the land to build the house on) says it will work with the family to help them find solutions to their problems. There are reports that is is no longer on the market due to the fact that Urban Promise may own the house now.......If they do, then the Marerro's are still in an unstable situation, since without ownership of your house or land, you can basically get evicted at any time!

That leads us to one of the more crazy stories out of the EM Camp...
The Leomiti & Higgens Families!

The Higgins family, five kids between the ages of 14 to 21-years-old, lived in a two-bedroom apartment in California, orphaned by the deaths of their parents. Their story grabbed headlines.
The family's church first raised money to help them out. Then, “Extreme Makeover" contacted the church to arrange an interview with the young adults. Maybe they could be the next “deserving family.”Fellow church members, the Leomiti family, then offered to take the Higgins family into their home. The lawsuit claims the family's motivation wasn't to save the kids from a life of despair. It was to get a newly built nine-bedroom house, mortgage paid, a week long vacation and other gifts like computers, stereos and cars. According to the suit against the Leomitis, ABC and the producers of “Extreme Makeover,” around the time the episode aired, the Higgins' moved out one-by-one as a result of a “orchestrated campaign” by the Leomiti family to get rid of them.
When the show was finished, the Leomitis' three-bedroom, two-bath house had more than tripled in size, to nine bedrooms and six baths in 4,267 square feet. Children who had slept on the floor or in the garage now each had a room. The energy-efficient house also had a Polynesian-themed back yard to celebrate the Leomitis' Samoan heritage.
The house, its mortgage paid by the builder that did the makeover, was presented at the "reveal" in February 2005. Videotape rolled as the families pulled up in a white limo, greeted by throngs of neighbors and well-wishers, including Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
With the new digs came a slew of other goodies, including two years' worth of groceries, audio and video equipment, laptop computers and six Ford compact cars — three for each family.
But that day's positive feeling was short-lived.
Within weeks, the two eldest siblings, Charles and Michael, then 21 and 19, had moved out of the house and were followed in short order by the others. By August, the orphans had hired a lawyer and sued the Leomitis, ABC and other defendants. The lawsuit sought unspecified damages on allegations that included fraud, intentional infliction of emotional distress and breach of contract, although that last count has been dismissed.
Charles Higgins, the oldest of the five Higgins children, and the Higgins' family attorney, Patrick Mesisca, explain their case to "The Abrams Report" ( watch below)

A judge has since ruled against them in their lawsuit against ABC. But just as Abrams stated int the video, is this issue really with the show or the Leomitis? With the timing of the events, it really sounds as if , after hearing thru the church that the show wanted to have the Higgins on, they then invited them in the home,....on the chance that if they were picked, there home would get done. ABC essentially stated that the Higgens were "Guest " in the Leomiti's home , so they don't really have any legal obligation to let them stay there.... That is really crazy!...If this story is true, the Leomitis wouldn't have had or needed the 9 bedroom home that the show gave them if not for the Higgens. But on the other hand, ABC, really messed up!. If they wanted to do something for the Higgens, they should have built a small house for them, not for two families who have no ties or legal obligation to stay together!
But this is just a long line of "Problems" that are wrong with the show. Questions arose when Theresa "Momi" Akana was picked for the Extreme Makeover program for Hawaii. The Honolulu Advertiser investigated their tax records and found out that both she and her husband made over $100,000 each in salary. Denise Cramsey, the executive producer of the show, responded with "I think Momi certainly fits the bill." She defended the pick, stating that they look beyond financial situation, and look into other factors, including family plight and contributions to the community.
One can't help but wonder, if Extreme Makeover is really about helping people as much as it is a television show with ratings?
The downfall of the EM contestants could be a combination of both the show and peoples internal sense of greed. People don't understand that when you get a house, that there are other expenses associated with it!, Upkeep, maintenance, heat, electric,TAXES! So though ABC is building you a bigger , better house, free of charge, its isn't exactly FREE. Ultimately its up the home owner to tell them NO, THAT HOUSE IT TOO BIG FOR ME TO MAINTAIN!...but really , what person is going to say that when they are living in less than desirable conditions? They are happy to have this bright , shiny, too expensive house to live in....if only for awhile!
Also, maybe ABC, needs to really investigate these "Situations" before they approve a family for this show, especially in the case of the Leomitis/Higgins family....instead of just going for the sob story or the story that can generate the best ratings.....I mean they really thought that building a 9 bedroom house for a family to live in that were "Guest" as put in there contract, wouldn't cause a future issue? two of my friends are still arguing over who drank the other persons 32oz Snapple Apple from a month ago,......imagine if it was a house?
The show said that they advise the winners to get a financial advisor, which is a great idea, but you would think that they would point people in the direction of a good financial advisor, like they do with the construction and charity people? Honestly , they just won a half a million dollar house...do you think they are thinking of or know of a good financial advisor?
All I know is that with the economy in the crapper and falling even lower, I think alot more "Foreclosures" are going to be coming to the surface and maybe Extreme Makeover:Home Edition needs to look at there business practices.....

Farewell "Real Housewives of Atlanta"...We Will Miss You!

So the season finale of the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" has premiered and we will miss it! It is one of the best seasons yet....rivals the original O.C Housewives!
So this final episode of this show started with a little dinner between new BFF's Sheree and Kim with Lisa.

and Lisa asking those two why they didn't show up to Deshawn's little "mending fences" dinner the previous night. They both made polite excuses and then talked crap about Deshawn during the private interview...ahhh makes me remember the high school days!
Then we cut to Sheree "pulling some strings" and getting a meeting with Project Runway favorite Michael Knight to discuss why she is a shitty fashion designer.....yes, did you know? apparently wearing expensive clothing also means that you can design clothing, so all you need is money and no formal training...guess this is why her things look so......well crappy for lack of a better word.

I am glad that he was on there and gave her some straight and realistic talk . He emphasis the fact that he meets several of these "Sports Wives" that think that because they have money, they can do a fashion line.......He also told her that she needs to learn about textiles and fabric combos! I LOVED IT! Finally someone who doesn't need or want to impress her or be apart of her " inner circle" told her how it is. Watching this show people really see that she has a lot of "yes men" in her camp, people who tell her that she is fabulous when she isn't!..One more reason to love Michael Knight.
Then we come to Lisa and Deshawn, now when last we left, Lisa's NFL husband was let go out of his contract due to his bad knee, so while he was looking for a team, he ended up being picked up by the Oakland Raiders( which is has been dropped from as well)

Lisa looked visibly upset and decided to cook dinner with Deshawn at Deshawns house.
Is it just me or does Lisa secretly hate Deshawn? I think that she is jealous, of Deshawn and her situation. You could tell by her response when the Deshawn's cook came in and stated that Deshawn hadn't cooked in over 10 years , so Lisa ( who doesnt have a cook) had to do all the work. Deshawn's NBA husband also got injured and decided to retire......I think that Lisa is mad that she still has to hustle for her money. NFL players like Lisa's husband are different from NBA players. Just because a NFL player is picked up doesn't mean that they are on the team, they can play and train and then be dropped without getting paid!
Where as NBA players get there money up front, guaranteed! Lisa asked Deshawn very subtly whether they were okay, money wise, and Deshawn was like, "we planned for this" so we are fine!
Deshawn has the big house ( too big if you ask me) , the cook and all the trimmings, while Lisa has several jobs , no cook or nanny and still worried about the money....You could just see the jealousy!
It all ended with a dinner planned by Lisa, that everyone, including the kids and the husbands showed up to to "clear the air" as the INSTIGATOR LISA WU HARTWELL planned it!

The went back and forth with NeNE telling Kim that she should have come to her as a friend and talked about everything instead of just taking other peoples word. Sheree didn't even try to reconcile, she just said, it is what it is.
They ended it with the fake reconciliation!
I am waiting for the Reunion Show next week, that is going to be great. It was shot recently after all the girls watched the show, so they get to see what others say about them during the "one on one " interviews!
SO HERE IS THE DIRT THAT WE HAVE LEARNED!

KIM KIM ZOLCIAK

has a restraining order against Lisa!..She said that Lisa threatened to Kill her! WTF! And here is the VIDEO OF KIM PLAYING LISA'S CRAZY VOICEMAIL as well as talking about the incident that led up to the restraining order!

LISA WU HARTWELL
apparently has a very sketchy past! She is the ex wife of legendary R & B whiner KEITH SWEAT! and has two kids with him! Justin and Jordon featured below in the Sweat Family Photo ( along with Sweat's two other girls from a different women)

For those of you who don't remember Keith sweat is the 80's "whiner" who had such babymaking hits as " Merry GO Round" and " I Want Her".
According to E, Lisa was hoping to have all three of her children on the show, but her ex-husband, late ,Keith Sweat, has gotten in the way.“He didn’t sign a waiver,” Hartwell complains. “He’s like, ‘Lisa, it’s nothing personal. I just really don’t know how they’re going to edit and if they’re going to make you look crazy. I just don’t want the kids to be, you know, overexposed or anything.’ “
Hartwell doesn’t buy it. “They asked their dad if could they be involved, and he [said] no,” she says. “It could have been a Disney show and I don’t think he would have signed it.”
For now, Hartwell appears on the show as if she only has one child, one-year-old E.J., her son with her current husband, NFL player Ed Hartwell...who she married after only knowing 2 months.
She claims to be an expert businesswoman, having gotten her feet wet in both real estate and jewelry , but she maybe isn't as successful as portrayed on the show having had to declare Bankruptcy last year!
Also Lisa has gone by several names in the past, including Sharon Millette Wu, and Sharon Lisa Sweat.....sounds like she was a video hoe....oops, I believe they call it "Video Modeling" now and kept trading up....but by the looks of her jealously of Deshawn, looks like she wants more!

BUT NOTHING COMPARES TO THE SHOWDOWN THAT IS THE REUNION SHOW!
AND WE HAVE A COUPLE OF CLIPS BELOW!!!

We now get to see the true side of Lisa Wu Hartwell and all season we have been saying that she has a "mean " side to her and here it is!

But that's not all, of course NeNe has her own beef with Kim!

This is just a small part of this show. What is interesting to notice is Deshawn, who doesn't say a word....even sits away from the ladies, lol...its like she knows that they are all full of SH$#t and wants no part! Because as naive as Deshawn may be , she really didn't have anything negative to say about the other ladies, even in the one on one interviews....but they other ladies can't say the same!
I think that this reunion is really going to show us the "The TRUE FEELINGS" towards each other, because they are very fake when the camera comes on!

I love the hot mess that is the ATL Houswives, and will miss them...the only consolation is that "THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF O.C" is coming on next week! and they have added another hot and younger house wive! Let the catfighting and jealousy begin!

The Real Houswives of Atlanta...this isn't your cookie cutter mom

Okay, so I will admit it....I watch the Real Housewives Series on Bravo and I luv it!. Is it me or is this new season based in Atlanta the most ridiculous season yet? I thought it couldn't get any worse than the O.C version, but I was wrong!
With a predominately African American cast and one (Kim Zolciak) who is the self proclaimed " black girl in a white girls body". This series show "according to a member of the cast" Atlanta's elite. Well if this is the cream of the crop, I would hate to see the bottom of the barrel!

The least crazy one seems to be Lisa Wu Hartwell

a gorgous girl married to NFL player Ed Hartwell, they go married only after knowing each other a couple of months, but seem to be going strong ( good luck with that..cause we only have one word fro you....GROUPIES) .
She has a real estate firm with her husband....with the economy sucking right now, I doubt they are doing well. She also has a line of baby clothes called Hart 2 Hart Baby......

They said that it is sold thru "Upscale Boutiques", but how upscale can it be with the items retailing under $20? And she only has about 4 pieces per girl and boys online.....so that should tell you something. And as we saw on the series she decided to start a jewelry line called Wu Girls

Most of her jewelry line ( which we saw in series) is affordable being that the average price is about 1-2K and something that you can get at any Mall Jeweler, but as we saw in the show she partnered with well known Jewelry Stephan Zale and that is not mentioned on her site....mmmnnnn, interesting.
One thing that is interesting to note, there is a claim that she wrote and produced a well known play, (especially in the african american community) called "Change is Gonna Come" that was directed by self made juggernaut Tyler Perry...who was a little known personality then. We can neither confirm or dispute that.
All in all, she seems to be the one working so much, that she doesn't have time for the petty Bulls$%t....I guess you can say she is like Switzerland...neutral.

DeShawn Snow, is the wife of the Eric Snow, captain of the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers

and though doesn't work does do charity thru her foundation. BUT, she is really the start of the ridiculousness that is the series. In the first episode, she was hiring a staff

for her newly built monstrosity of a home. She was hiring a Staff Manager, Maid, Butler, Valet , Governess and Nanny for her family of four. What I found funny is that she doesn't seem to know the difference between a Governess and and Nanny and it seems as if she is just hiring this staff just to say that she has it. What really solidified her "trying to keep up with the jones" was when her staff manager was reviewing what her parents requested to be in there room upon there visit ( Irish baileys cream and some other nonsense) and she turned to her husband and asked him what his parents wanted and he replied " nothing, b/c my parents wouldn't request things"......that look he gave her said it all. WHY THE HELL ARE YOU REQUESTING THESE THINGS?.
Then she got the bright idea to do a charity event to raise 1 million dollars for her foundation. This would have been great , if she had actually thought it out and planned it.

She decided to invite the cities "elite" but didn't pre sell tickets, and then got on television and invited everyone in the city to HER HOUSE! Then they proceeded to show these peoples face and you heard the commentary that these were people who were essentially "GROUPIES"..they go to parties and try to latch on to so called "celebrities". So needless to say, these were not the people who had the big bucks needed to raise a million dollars, so after the auction ended they didn't even break even...resulting in DeShawn crying in her room...yes it was as embarrassing as it sounds! This women is so focused on trying to impress people that she doesn't realize how ridiculous she come off....here's a thought, you don't need it if someone has to explain to you how to use it!

Then we come to Sheree Whitfield

Nemesis of Nene and ex wife of a sports athlete....well pending as according to her she is looking for "some six figure settlement". She use to own a clothing boutique that is since closed and is now trying to start her own clothing line........why people, have they not learned anything from J.Lo and Tina Knowles?Wearing Cavalli , Prada and any other designer brands, doesn't mean that you can design clothes......as evident by this ensemble below....
With her overly developed "Madonna" arms and mannish demeanor , it's laughable when she talks about how good she looks . She comes off with a holier than thou attitute that we find annoying

Now her nemesis NeNe Leakes may be the most memorable of all the cast members, but also she may be one of the most annoying.

Something happened between Sheree and NeNe , which wasn't really explained, but it lead to them not being friends anymore and a sort of season back and forth battle between the two.
She also doesn't work ,but does head her own foundation dealing with domestic violence issues. There is also a rumor that she wants to own her own set of boutique hotels in Atlanta...that may be a good venture for her.
Her battle with Sheree started off with Sheree inviting NeNe to her birthday party and then "ironically" her name wasn't on the invite list at the door.
This cause her and her friend Kim, to leave the event after several words were exchanged.

NeNe then left with Kim in tow, but there last chance of "mending fences" was severed.
This leads to maybe the most ridiculous character of this series...Kim Zolciak

This wig wearing , over the top, side switching housewife is trying to become a country singer. No one knows what she even does for a living , but we do know that she as a sugar daddy who wants to remain nameless...

This busty Blonde accompanied Nene to Sheree's party wearing a dress designed just for her

to then turn right around and the door in "support of her friend" Nene.
We then saw her at her recording session with ex TLC producer Dallas Austin

for her new country album....to then be told in a nice way by the vocal coach that she ....well she sucks and is tone deaf! Do you see Dallas Austin holding is head down in shame?lol.
But in what was the best episode to date, the girls minus Kim and New BFF Sheree, when to dinner and NeNe started bashing Sheree and Kim's singing

This caught everyone off guard and someone then told Sheree ( she wouldn't say who it was) but we know it was ....

What NeNe was saying about her and Sheree in turn told Kim. Kim then used this to sever all ties with NeNe via Text Message

What I can't believe is that Kim is calling someone a Low Budget bitch!...is it just me or does Kim Look like a low rent CoCo...Ice-T's wife?
This was just the opportunity that Kim needed to "trade up". NeNe introduced Kim to Sheree and she saw that Sheree has access to a larger circle than Nene and now Kim had an excuse to cut ties with NeNe and move up and on!

This show is a prime example that Money doesn't equate to class...just because you have money doesn't mean you are classy or carry yourself that way. And just because you may be poor doesn't mean that you are not classy or carry yourself with some pride. Here are examples of some of these women who look and act tacky and ridiculous and are really trying to be something that they are not.........BUT I still am going to watch, lol

Did the right designer win Project Runway?

So after having seen the Bravo's Last Season of Project Runway ( don't worry people, it just moving to another station), I can't help but feel that the wrong person won!
I have always admired Project Runway for being one the the only "Reality" television shows for getting it right, when alot of them have already or are going to "Jump the Shark" by awarding the prize to the most drama filled person and not the most talented. But one can't help but feel that Korto should have won.

After stunning showings from Leanne and Korto.....Kenley's was not even worth mentioning ( it reminded me of a first year fashion student) The majority of guest that they asked wanted Korto to win.
Leannes collection , though stunning and the amount of work that went into it was fantastic, was the same look over and over again...

She said that she was inspired by water and waves and she certainly incorporated that with the dozens of Petals on each dress, making then flow like water back and forth when the model walked down the runway.....over and over again. But this finale wedding dress was a stunner, looking like it could be off the pages of vogue.

Korto , on the other hand, was inspired by her homeland of Africa and it came thru.....

She managed to incorporate her culture into clothing and not look like a costume...keeping it upscale and wearable . And unlike the monotonous color palette of he rcompetitior, hers was vibrant and rich, really playing to nature. This white two piece above was fantastic coming down the runway, this photo doesn't do it justice...you can't see the details.

Kenley's on the other hand, was not even in contention for the prize and everyone knew it but her!

She said that she created this line after having been inspired by Alice in Wonderland....but I have read and seen "Thru the Looking Glass" and I think that if Alice or any other charecter was wearing this, the Queen of Hearts would have definatly cut there head off.
What is so funny ( and I hope that Kenley watches herself on t.v) is that she doesn't know designers, so when everyone constantly told her that her designs had been seen before , instead of being himbled, she was defensive. Case in Point..........

And speaking of taping, alot of time, what you see on screen is not what was taped. Did you know that Jerrell & Suede actually showed at Fashion Week? As with every episode of the finals they actually have 5 designers showing due to Fashion Week scheduling and air timing. Also, because past contestants and the media is actually there, so by them showing 5 designers, it will not get leaked who the final 3 are. They just edit the ones that gets cut out.

Diddy is Done with Danity Kane.....Well Just Aubrey!

So if anyone saw the Live Special on Tuesday, then you all know that Danity Kane as we know it is done!. Diddy kicked out Aubrey O'Day and then let loose her partner is crime D. Woods.
In the Episode stunner, we saw Diddy, tell Danity Kane members, that what he sees here is not the vision that he had when he created the group and that Aubrey is was out!

With stunned silence following , he then turned to each of the members and asked them if they wanted to still be in this group?

"She's gone, would you like to go with her?"

They all tried to get Diddy to change is mind, but it wasn't happening. He then continued to shock us when he turned to D. Woods and said that she has been unhappy for a long time so was out of the group as well! By the look on D. Woods face, you could tell that she wasn't prepared for that & looked like she was going to cry and beg at any moment.
After he leaves the room , the girls all hug and cry to then say goodbye and D.Woods and Aubrey leave the building.... Dawn sits there in complete shock and says
"What are we going to do? I have nothing to go back to!"
After Diddy comes back in the room, he informs the girls that there will still be a Danity Kane....we we think that the rumors are true. There will be another season of Making the Band, with Diddy finding 2 replacements.....

To me this is the end of Danity Kane....this group is not Destiny's Child status yet and cannot rebound from the replacement of 2 members. Of those five girls, we all know who the star is.....

Deny it all you want, but this is the first name that everyone remembers! She doesn't have the best vocals , but she has personality and that keeps people talking. She is the Bobby Brown to New Edition, the Donnie Walburg to New Kids on the Block! Those are the people you remember!
Plus you would think that Diddy would appreciate that since he is not even close to the best rapper, but still keeps putting out albums and has PERSONALITY...that's why people keep talking about him, not because of his MC Skills!
Other than Faith , what other legitimate artist does Diddy have on his label? They have all left him......in fact Comedian Maronzio Vance (NBC, BET, Comedy Central) says it best......he explores the poison that is Diddy , just take a look at his funny rant below....it is on point!

He needs this show & MTV, to not only feed his ego, but get new artist. The question that we ask, is if MTV didn't have this show and his other one called "I Want to Work for Diddy"...we he even be relevant? This is man who has kept his big billboard up in Times Square from when he ran a marathon 4 years ago

He is respected in the hip hop game for past deeds with Notorious B.IG and others, much like Russell Simmons, the only difference is that Russell knew when to hang it up and do better and bigger things. Diddy seams to be stuck back in his heyday of the early 90's..

But your hits have been few and far between....he had to find another way to feed the ego.
So after several seasons of this show, we all know Diddy's M.O and we just like the members of Danity Kane should really know there boss by now. How many times have you set in a board meeting and the boss asked you to "express your feelings" and the next thing that you know, that "person" who said something was cleaning out there desk!

At the end of the day, that is your boss, he is paying you , controlling the money, and has final say , and you can't talk to him anyway you want, EVEN if he is wrong.
Being in the entertainment industry and also dealing with Diddy comes with a cost, especially if you are in a group. Your image and everything about you is under scrutiny, you have to go in the direction that the record label wants you to go in, that includes music and looks...at least until you become an established artist....Remember Beyonce' and Pink...both having to go behind there managments back to get there solo albums made...Beyonce said she had to hide it from her Managament ( her father) becuase it was a different sound than they wanted to go with, and her album went multi platinum , but the managment was upset at first!

They were not complaining on there all expense paid trip to Cabo or popping bottles, Stop putting Diddy as the Daddy. He is not there to show them how to survive in show business. Did they think this day would never come? This is Diddyland , and he is king there, so you have to fall in line or get cut...as with Aubrey and D.Woods.

So what do we think is in store for the girls of Danity Kane?

Shannon, the married sweetheart, will just ride it out to till the wheels fall off and Diddy shuts down the DK brand
Aundrea, will probably leave the group or also get dropped by Diddy, as he alluded to on the episode as her being the problem child as well...
Dawn, the golden girl, who can do no wrong, will most likely get signed to a solo deal by Diddy as she is the vocals behind the group.

D.Woods, the other half of Ebony & Ivory, will probably ride out her last 5 minutes of fame, but fade into nothingness

And last but not least

Aubrey, the "Problem Child" as coined by Diddy, has the best chance of seeing her star rise, with a clothing line already out , her successful run on Broadway's "Hairspray" and her knack for saying and doing outrageous things, she has the opportunity to surpass the DK Brand. Lets just hope that she goes up instead of the way of Bobby Brown!

It's very clear, that the little bit of fame that Aubrey has gotten, has changed her. she does look different that she did when she first started

But I think she was always like this, Diddy just didn't see it, because he doesn't spend time with his acts (by his own admission), even though it looks like on the show he spends all this time with them. I think she found her opportunity to be her "True Self" and took it...I think that the real problem is that she hasn't fallen in line as Diddy wanted, she doesn't conduct herself as he wants therefore, she had to go. And at the end of the day, who ever controls the purse strings, controls you. Even at the live taping, he had nothing but bad things to say to her, telling her to grow up and humble herself on national television, inciting Boos' from the audience........
I don't think this is the last we will see of her and I think that she will end up on top..........

Alot has been said about Britney Spears over the years, but now it what she is saying about herself that we want to hear!
Spears plans to set the record straight about her personal and professional woes in a documentary to be aired shortly before the release of her new album "Circus" in December.

In the 90-minute film, "Britney: For the Record," Spears talks about her high-profile meltdown, which included stints in rehab and psychiatric hospital units, an ugly divorce, losing custody of her two sons and shaving her head.
"I sit there and I'll look back and I'm like: I'm a smart person. What the hell was I thinking?" the 26-year-old singer says in the documentary shot by filmmaker Phil Griffin over three-months.

Right now, Spears has a new video called "Womanizer" and we have the uncensored version here!

In an interview on New York's Z100 radio station late last month, Britney said of the song, "['Womanizer' is] basically saying, 'We know what you're up to.' It's about guys cheating on girls. It's a girl anthem. That's why I like it. So, hopefully, the fans will see it that way too!"

Spears has faced alot of criticism , from her erratic behavior to her hospital stay and most recently for giving up custody of her two kids to Kevin Federline. You constantly hear.."How could she give up custody of her kids", "What's Wrong with her?"...well maybe people should start thinking , Whats Right with her! Alot of times, the public forgets that these are not just celebrities, these are KIDS and whats best for them, and though it may suck, she did what she felt was the best for her kids well being and not what the public wanted. So if the kids are better off and have a better enviorment to live in with the dad, they kudos to her for putting them first. And knowing that maybe she is ready right now to provide what kids need and that she needs more time to get better.

But personally, can you imagine the type of parenting is Spears doing if this

In the past six months or so, Spears' father Jamie has taken over management of her affairs and helped get his daughter's life back on track. She has made guest appearances on U.S. TV series "How I Met Your Mother" and is due to release her sixth studio album on her December 2 birthday.
The documentary, described as showing "the reality of trying to live a normal life after all that has been exposed through the media," is set to air on MTV on November 30.
"So much has gone on over the last couple of years and there's a lot that people don't know about me that I want them to know," Spears said in a statement.
"I wanted to make this film because I started to feel like I wasn't being seen in the light that I wanted to be seen in. This is an opportunity to set the record straight and talk about what I've been through and where I'm headed," she said.

We hope she is on the rode to recovery....because let's face it, she was looking a hot shitty mess these past few years...

So if anyone saw the recent episode of MTV's Making the Band 4, we all heard Diddy sit the girls of Danity Kane down and ask "What is the problem"? and what followed was a tension filled back and forth between "problem child" Aubrey O'Day and Diddy, ending with him saying that she was out of the group!

So the question now is....are they still a group? Does Diddy actually cut a DK member? These burning questions are revealed in a live "Making the Band 4" Special on Tuesday, October 14th at 9pm ET/PT. Hosted by MTV News correspondent Sway from the Times Square studio, Diddy will give viewers the low down on what really happened when he confronts his platinum recording artists about dissension in the group. Viewers will have face time with Danity Kane when they give their version of the drama that unfolds; and talk about the rumors that have been floating around for weeks questioning the actual state of the group.
Viewers were left stunned after the cliffhanger in the"Making The Band 4" season finale. They watched Danity Kane, Day26 and Donnie Klang after their successful promotional tour. and then go on a much needed vacation to Cabo San Lucas.

But it all ended when Diddy had all the groups come up to the Bad Boy Offices to talk with them about how proud he was..then dismiss Day 26 and Donnie to have a "Candid" conversation with the members of Danity Kane .
The back and forth tension between Diddy and O'Day isn't anything new, Diddy has accused O'day of doing her own thing, and exhibiting behavior during the " off season" that is detrimental to the group . Know as the "Sex pot" of the group she can always be seen as "Vamping it up" and saying "colorful things", and her new photo spread in complex magazine is not exception!

With her mouth open and big hair, she is looking more like a blow up doll or porn star than a teen pop star...but with the way that young hollywood is acting right now, she is probably the norm!

She has also been linked to several people, most recently Donnie Walburg from New Kids of the Block

When asked about the rumor she asked...“Who started that rumor?” , “He is a gorgeous guy and he is a very dear friend of mine.” The Boston Herald reported the 24-year-old and Wahlberg, 39, “hooked up” in June.
In addition to singing pursuits, O'Day performed as Amber Von Tussle in the Broadway musical Hairspray, has made a cameo appearance in Estelle's new music video for Pretty Please and has recently started her own clothing line called Heart on My Sleeve,modeled by America's Next Top Model Winners Caridee English and Jaslene Gonzalez, which features t-shirts and accessories only available online

The other members of the group seem to be on there own path, and not necessarily stardom driven. Aundrea, who was once very close to Aubrey , to be later replaced by D. Woods, seems to be a homebody, preferring to stay in and be with family then out and about on the town. The same goes with Shannon, who is the only one that is married, and surprisingly so, after all of this! She has a family and prefers to stay grounded with them.
Dawn, in love with Day 26 member Q, prefers to be with him and only him, to the point of nausea . So that leaves O' Day and D. Woods , who have nic-named themselves Ebony and Ivory. This "Clique-ish" behavior was pointed out by Diddy on the season finale of Making the Band as well!

With All Due Respect to the other girls in Danity Kane, it’s easy to see why Diddy built his group around Aubrey O’Day. Simply put, Aubrey is that star that pulls them in....most people remember her name and not the others in the band. With her other pursuits, she is the least likely to fall into the post-reality-show abyss.

Combs stated on the Finale episode of Making the Band that he did have Dawn Richard on three demos for his new album. And later on declared that Aubrey O'Day was no longer be a member of Danity Kane . Although an official announcement has not been made from Bad Boy. Rumors also say that there will be another Making the Band to find a replacement for Aubrey O'Day.
But Diddy is nothing if not smart and also know for being overly dramatic..(remember the nurse body slamming him for eating a doughnut?), so if something is a cash cow like O'Day.....I don't think she's going anywhere....Danity Kane wouldn't be Danity Kane without O'Day....it's like if Beyonce' left Destiny's Child!...who the hell would watch them?

ANTM's Bianca Golden vs. Hairspray's Nikki Blonsky

So, alot of us now know that America's Next Top Model Bianca Golden and Hairspray's and Dancing With the Stars Alum Nikki Blonsky, were in an altercation a month ago, with all of the new technology on cell phones, many people were wondering why no one happened to catch anything on tape.....WELL THEY DID...here is the video!

According to reports Cops told TMZ that the two got into an "altercation" in the departure lounge at the Providenciales airport in the Turks and Caicos islands in the Caribbean -- and by altercation, we hear it was an all-out family brawl! A spy at the airport that day said that the fight was over saving seats in the lounge -- Nikki was saving five seats for her family, and Bianca's family wanted to sit. Bianca, 19, her brother George, 17, and their mother Elaine Clinton-Golden, were waiting for a flight to New York when they tried to take a seat in the departure lounge but found luggage on the chairs. When they removed the luggage, which belonged to the Blonsky's, a brawl broke out.
Elaine was alleged to have been repeatedly kicked and punched all over her body. She was airlifted for treatment in Miami, Florida.
"I am in pain all the way down my arms and legs," Elaine told the the Turks and Caicos Weekly News, Thursday from her hospital bed. "I can hardly talk or walk and my head is hurting all over."
Nikki, 19, was charged with actual bodily harm; her father, Carl, was charged with grievous bodily harm, a source at the Turks and Caicos Weekly News tells Us.

Nikki — who is now in a neck brace — went to court Friday morning, .When photographers tried to take her picture, she covered her face.
Nikki is due back in Magistrate court on December 1.

Those of you might remember Golden as the argumentative bitchtress from Cycle 9 of America's Next Top Model. She was constantly starting fights, telling people that they wouldn't make it and just being an all around confrontational person. But it looks like this is one incident that she may not have started according to witnesses and reports.
Blonsky said that the incident in the Turks and Caicos has made her family stronger.
"We are a tight-knit family. We're just happy to be back together. My family is my life. The best gift that I've even been given is my parents," she said.

Ironically the most seriously injured wasn't Golden or Blonsky, but Golden's mother Elaine, who was badly injured in the scuffle, with head trauma and a fracture, causing her to flew back to New York City for treatment for temporary paralysis in her left side after a stint in the ICU. This injury stemmed from Blonsky father punching Elaine with such brunt force after Elaine was trying to stop the altercation between her daughter and Blonsky from escalating. Witness' say that when Elaine went over to break up the argument, Blonsky's father came rushing over and hauled off a Tyson Punch to the face! While Elaine was on the ground, Blonsky was said, by several people to follow her fathers knock out with a swift kick to the groin!

Bianca is expected to talk about it on Tyra's show that is airing this Wednesday, but for those of you who can't wait, here's a sneak peek!

With the Season 11 of America's Next Top Model winding down to the last few girls, one starts to wonder ...Where are some of the most notable Model Alums?

Adrianne Curry , Season 1 winner way back in 2003 ( seems so long ago doesn't it?), went on to become a regular reality t.v start whore, married a "controlling" Brady and got herself a t.v show on VH1.

She now lives in California with her husband Christopher Knight a.k.a Peter Brady and rumor has it , is about to do another season of "My Fair Brady".....uh, can't wait for that ( I am being sarcastic!)

Shannon Stewart, second runner up in Season 1 and self proclaimed VIRGIN, has actually had a decent career, not spectacular, but consistently working.

She has modeled in Bridal spreads as well as done a little runway for Richard Tyler and Alice and Olivia... she signed to Elite Models and is married ( to another male model) and living in Chicago..We are proud to also announce she is no longer a virgin!lol

Elyse Sewell, another first season alum, and the resident moral authority also has had a consist ant career.

Having a very big career in China, this pic above was taken in Hong Kong , she is one of the more well traveled model alums. This is one of her ad campaigns also taken in Asia.

Sewell has modeled in Milan, NYC, China, Tokyo as well as Dior and done commercials for Sony. Due to her look, she does really well in Asian market, spending the majority of her working career there. She was most recently in the news because she dated Martin Crandall of The Shins until January 2008, when he allegedly assaulted her in a Sacramento hotel] Both Crandall and Sewell were charged with felony domestic assault, though their cases were later dismissed. Previously, Elyse told the Singapore Straits Times in an interview that she had dumped her boyfriend because he cheated on her while she was working in Japan, though they reconciled shortly afterwards. Sewell's first book, based in part on her blog, was published in Hong Kong in 2006. She appeared in multiple book signings across Hong Kong.

Yoanna House, the season 2 (2004) winner, started off well made her debut as a runway model at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in 2004.

But like so many other alums, she has become a lost in the t.v show host vacuum.She became the host of "The Look for Less" in 2005, replacing Elisabeth Hassleback, when she left to look like a ignorant dumb ass on "The View" and most recently hosted The N networks teeny bopper show "Queen Bees" where the mean girls are reformed so that they can win a cash prize!

Yea, this totally looks like High Fashion to me!.......

Mercedes Yvette Scelba-Shorte, the second runner up in season 2 and who should have been the winner in my opinion, has done well for herself and gained commercial success.
Having been in several different nation commercials , Applebee's, Chili's, Sear's and Payless to name a few, she became an official spokesperson for the Lupus Foundation, having publicly come out on her season as having the disease . She is currently the face of Mandy Moore's new clothing line "Mblem"

Camille McDonald, season 2 contestant and the first Original Top Model Diva is currently the model for her own line of Jamaican inspired swimwear.

In addition to modeling for her own line, she has also tapped a couple of other Top Model Alums to model for her line as well.

Shandi Sullivan , season 2 contestant and resident whore, who lost her mind when had sex on t.v with those hot Italian boys .

Shandi had the best transformation in Top Model history, turning from an "Ugly Duckling into a Swan", then came the conversation with her creepy boyfriend, when she told him that she cheated... good t.v. She is now a receptionist at a Hair Salon in NYC and has cut off her hair and gone the way of the punk rocker.

Eva (Pigford)Marcille season 3 (2004) winner and resident diva, has gone the way of second rate actress...and I use the word actress loosely!

After doing a few magazine covers and a couple of shows, she left her managers Benny Medina and Tyra Banks in 2006 and her new management promptly dropped her last name "Pigford" and went with her middle name" Marcille" She was in the Taye Diggs drama "Kevin Hill" on UPN and made a brief appearances on "Smallville" and "Everyone Hates Chris" as well as "Tyler Perry's House of Pain" where she met and is still dating one of her co-stars Lance Gross

This was taken most recently at the academy awards. She has also recently joined the cast of "The Young and the Restless" as a single mother named "Tyra Hamilton" named by the writers as an in joke of Top Model.

Ann Markley, season 3 BFF to Eva , has had a consistent modeling and t.v career, most recently, having made a brief appearance on last weeks "Gossip Girl"

Yaya DaCosta , the runner up for Season 3 and the Bad Skin, Know It All from Harlem has also gotten the acting bug.

After having an alright run in modeling, she was recently cast in "All My Children" as as Cassandra Foster, daughter of Angie Hubbard, played by soap opera legend Debbi Morgan.And yes, just in case you are wondering... she is still just as annoying playing a fictional character, as she is playing herself.

Amanda Swafford , 3rd runner up in season 3, with the gorgeous eyes due to a degenerative eye condition that will leave her completely blind by age 30. Had some calling foul when she was voted off, even having resident bitchress Janice Dickinson saying, "I love you!" to Swafford when she was eliminated.

After modeling in a few campaigns in Moscow and Eastern Europe ( her look does well there) she has darkened her hair and chopped it off and has now faded into Top Model Nothingness!

April Wilkner , season 3 contestant and resident Asian Beauty, most known for her flirtatious chemistry with fashion photog Hottie Nigel Barker

She has a a consistent modeling career, and has been photographed by Nigel Barker as well,....with his wife doing the makeup ( his wife is a makeup artist)

Toccara Jones , contestant from Season 3 and considered to be the most successful Top Model Alum, having just graced the Cover of Italian Vogue and receiving more pages than any other supermodel in the issue!

After being voted off Top Model, she did several campaigns for a couple of Plus Size Clothing lines, and then after dropping out of the limelight for awhile, she was on VH1's popular show "Celebrity Fit Club " for two seasons, which lead her to land a game show on BET. After being selected in 2007 for Rocawear's " I will not Loose" campaign , representing the plus size division, she was tapped for the famous Italian Vogue shoot with other notable models.
Currently this issue of Vogue is the highest selling issue in history and is currently on its 3rd reprint.

Naima Mora , winner of Season 4 (2005) and mixed up , mohawk wearing identical twin, is the vocalist for the band "Chewing Pics" who are thus far unsigned.

What a waste of time and a t.v viewing season...don't cha think?

Kahlen Rondot , season 4 runner up, is currently no longer modeling.

Despite being considered as a stand-out in her cycle, Rondot struggled to get signed,which many say is because of her resemblance to Carmen Kass.

This had led her to leave the industry, although she has done some ANTM related work here.With a couple of showings on magazines and runway, she decided to call it quits and is no longer modeling .Ironically enough, although she has not won ANTM, her promotional picture is used as the shadowed "top model" on the Germany's Next Topmodel's logo. She now works as a bartender in NYC and has plans to open up her own bar......(you can't make this stuff up people!)

Keenyah Hill, season 4 contestant, and one of the first most annoying contestants , has also fallen into Model Nothingness

Nicole Linkletter , Season 5 Winner, and accused Granola Bar Bandit ,did the standard, Teen Magazine spreads, and She is also currently modeling for the Christian Audigier "Crystal Rock" collection.

Nik Pace, season 5 runner up, and known for being the "reserved" and somewhat "standoff-ish" contestant has done a couple of magazine ads, but nothing spectacular or any runway.

Lisa D'Amato , Season 5 contestant, also known for her odd behavior, ( talking to a shrub she called "Cousin It"

She is still as crazy as ever! After being voted off and doing the standard Top Model rounds, she criticised the producers of Top Model for betraying her trust regarding personal details of the contestant's relationship with her mother. D'Amato alleges that when she was eliminated the producers enticed her by asking what her mother would think. In addition, D'Amato said that, apart from being recognised by the general public, she has gained little from her time on the show, particularly concerning modelling work.Lisa has begun pursuing a career in music, particularly rap and hip hop. On October 8, 2007, the music video for her song "Ace of Spades" was put on YouTube.According to her Myspace, Lisa's debut album is due out in Summer 2009.

Brittany "Bre" Scullark, Season 5 contestant and Granola Bar Thief Accuser, has had a consistent modelling career.

After being told that she was weaker than her other contestants when she was voted off in the finally 3 episode, she has gone on to do several print ads as well as commercials for Pantene and Target and is doing better than the other two "stronger" contestants ( Nik Pace and Nicole Linkletter)

Kim Stolz, season 5 contestant and resident lesbian has had a good careers since being voted off.

Since Top Model, she has gone on to model in the genre that she is best known for...preppy chic. She has done campaigns for Ruehl 21, Abercrombie & Fitch to name a few and continues to have a steady career.

Danielle "Dani" Evans , winner of Season 6, and resident gap tooth model, has changed her name to "Dani" by the agency and has a consistent career since winning.

She has modeled for several other campaigns before becoming the spokesmodel for Akademiks clothing line. She also has received a showcard from her agency, Click Model Management, for NY Fashion Week.She is one of only 4 girls given showcard of all 143 ANTM alumni. (The others being Jaslene Gonzalez, Megg Morales of Cycle 7 and Lisa Jackson of Cycle 9.Evans is apparently good friends with model Chanel Iman.

Joanie Dodds, Season 6 Runner Up and most notably known for have several weeks worth of teeth surgery in a matter of hours!

After modeling for GQ, Elle Girl and etc, the only time we have seen Joanie is on the Tyra Banks show when Tyra brings her back on to talk about her teeth...WE GET IT, your teeth were bad!

Nnenna Agba , season 6 contestant, and known for being the rude African contestant.

With her gorgeous face, she hasn't had a hard time finding work after the show, walking for Heatherette as well as several other designers.

Furonda Brasfield , season 6 contestant and known for giving out "Rules when dealing with me" to her fellow contestants

She has walked for some designers on fashion week as well as done some print ads, but much like the majority of Top Model Alums, that is the extent of her achievements!

CariDee Jenasia English , Season 7 Winner and known for telling Nigel to take the "stick" out of his butt has been one of the few models to come close to "Top Model" Status

In addition to making an appearance on "One Tree Hill" & "Gossip Girl" She has modelled for Wedding Style,JC Penney, and other. English is also part of the "Heart On My Sleeves" clothing campaign by Aubrey O'Day of Danity Kane.

Mel Rose, season 7 runner up and known for being extremely conceited, has kind of fallen from the modeling scene

At the end of Melrose's Top Model run, she announced that she would help design clothes for former Lost cast member Michelle Rodriguez's fledgling clothing line, Ishkidada.Mel Rose has also done advertisements for Scoop NYC, Jack Rabbit Belts, and Beau Soleil Fall 2007 Collection, as well as walked the runways at London Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2008 for designer Aminika Wilmot

Jaslene Gonzalez , Season 8 Winner and our Favorite Top Model of all Seasons has had a good career since Top Model.

In addition to consistantly walking year after year for several designers as well as being in various print campaigns Gonzalez strutted on the catwalk of Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2009 for designers Jose Duran, Indashio, Farah Angsana and Custo Barcelona. Jaslene is featured on Ryan Leslie music video "Addiction". And on the pages of YRB Magazine.She was also on the cover of Imagen Magazine in addition to being a role model for the Puerto Rican Community.

Natasha Galkina , Season 8 Runner- Up and accused Mail Order Russian Bride , has had a career overseas rather than here in the states

She has modeled in Athens, Greece and Milan, Italy, having shot fashion editorials for the magazines Cosmopolitan, Lucky, Elle, and the Greek magazine, Madame Figaro.
On a personal note, she did the best Tyra Banks Impression on her season, that I have ever seen!

Jael Strauss, Season 8 contestant and best remember for being pushed in the pool at a party by 50 Cent after she insulted him.

Living in California and doing very small print ads, she is just as crazy as always, and her career peaked on the show!

Saleisha Stowers, Season 9 Winner and one of the very few contestants that had a chance to be a true "Top Model".

There has been controversy regarding her eligibility to appear on the show. The show's rules state that a contestant must not have appeared as a model in a national advertising campaign during the last five years. Stowers appeared in a 2006 commercial for Wendy's. There is debate among viewers of the show over whether the commercial for Wendy's could be considered an advertising campaign, which would make Stowers ineligible to compete in America's Next Top Model. The CW said in a statement that Stowers did disclose her participation in the Wendy's spot, and "after reviewing the commercial, it was determined that her appearance did not amount to "modeling" experience, and therefore did not exclude her from participating in the show". Several blogs and news outlets have speculated that her past relationship with Banks (her participation in Banks' T-Zone camp and her past appearances on Tyra's television shows and her appearance as a model on The Tyra Banks Show and Cycle 6 of America's Next Top Model), may have influenced the selection of the winner.

Whitney Thompson, Season 10 Winner and also toted as the winner that will bring ANTM to the end with the crowing of her as the winner.

With Thompson being crowned as the first "Plus Size" Top Model , alot of people and critics alike have questioned the validity of ANTM and Tyra Banks. This was the point that Top Model solidified itself as being a reality show instead of a legitimate Modeling competition. She has gone the Catalog route by having print ads for plus size retailer "Silhouettes" as well as making an appreance recently on Tyra Banks Show modeling Fall Outfits ( and didn't get that big of an applause when introduced, mind you)

Anya Rozova, Season 10 Runner Up and who many believe should have won the show, having had better photos, has done alright for herself after the show

Anya has done work for the clothing lines Tibi and Habitual. She also walked for Nuj Novakhett and Julian Louie at New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2009.

So what have we learned from thei Top Model Alum Recap? That Top Model is a vehicle for mediocrity and not for modeling. Also out of the 150 + contestants, only about 5 of them have gotten close to the "Top Model " moniker.

Maybe it's time for Tyra to hang it up! According to an insider, when asked recently whether she was stopping the show, she replied " I thought about it, but No, I am not"...so we can look forward to more reality star has beens...

The Hills Celebutard L.C presented at the 2008 Emmy Awards and designed the dresses , along with Project Runway Winner Christian Siriano , for the Emmy "Trophy Girls"

Though I do like this dress and color on her ( she did "design" dress as well), It is very simple and has been done before. Where is the innovation? The purpose of events like these to is show us something new and for someone who was given the opportunity to step it up, she really fell flat. This dress looks like it can be bought in Jessica McClintock and you just put a brooch in the middle! One also can't help but wonder how much "Designing" she actually did. This is one of her better ideas, but 2 classes at FIDM and a reality show doesn't make you a designer!
What also annoys me is that they have the nerve to call this "Couture"!!! I wish people would stop throwing that word around and go look up the word "Couture"....because this crap defiantly isn't it.....Wikipedia it , people!

The Red and Pink Chiffon multi layered gown that the Trophy Girl is wearing is from Christian Siriano ( pics of the dress by itself are not available right now)

This is the dress from L.C. It is actually Dark Green...plus you can tell it's hers because of that rhinestone brooch, once again tacked onto a gown....been there,done that!

Christian's dress isn't dressy enough for the Red carpet, it is pretty, but it looks like it could be worn to a less formal occasion, Though I luv Christian Siriano, L.C's dress is more black tie appropriate.

My day at the Tyra Banks Show!

So I got tickets to the Tyra Banks Show and I thought that it would be fun...little did I know that , there is alot that goes on at the show!

This is not from my actual show taping
About a week before the actual day of taping, I received a phone call asking me to confirm my information. Then I was asked, what I did for a living and I asked why they needed to know all that. And to that they replied, that they like to know who is in the audience.....this was warning #1 of what was too come!
They then sent me this list of don't for the Tyra Show that I have posted below

THIS IS FROM MY ACTUAL SHOW TAPING!I HAVE CROSSED OUT SOME OF THERE COMPANYINFO.......I AM NOT TRYING TO GET SUED!

After reading this, it almost felt like she wanted her show to be Top Model Glamorous. The attire is BUSINESS UPSCALE!...yes, that is what they said, I am not making this up and it is Strictly Enforced. Absolutely no shorts, sneakers, rain/snow boots (UGGS
included), sequins, hats, jogging suits, velour pants, and NO LOGOS of any kind. The logos I can understand.... but what got me was that the show does reserve the right to deny entry to anyone dressed inappropriately. Almost like this is some exclusive nightclub. You know that Tyra has the bad habit of making every conversation some how about her and this even extends to her list that she sends out to ticket holders.....do we see her big pose on the background? So big, that you can barely even read it.

So once you get there, (since she tapes twice a day, I went to the morning taping and you must be in the building by 9:30 am.) You are given a card with a number and are ushered down the back ramp and after standing in line you come to a table with several Big Security Guards!

Obviously , these are not the actual guards!

They check your ID( must be state issued, only take Passport or License) and then make you hand over your purse for them to search. Now we have all traveled via airplane and understand why the lines are long at the security check point, but these guys make Airport Security seem lax. They THOROUGHLY check your bags and any little pockets or bags/openings that you have in your purse, and after I mentioned that to the guy, he said,

"Yes, I can even tell you when your period is happening".

Now, that is funny, but at the same time a ridiculous. These guys were literally picking up and looking around the tampons and other things in women's purses as if we are going to stash a shank inside of the Applicator! You then have to put your cellphone in a Tupperware container ( did I mention, that they take your cell phone?) and then they put them in zip lock bags will giving you a number to claim your cellphone at the end of the taping. Once that happens you go through metal detector, where another one of these................

Then comes by and runs a hand held detector over you, just to make sure that they didn't miss anything. Once all clear and they feel that you are not packing heat! You are giving a piece of paper and a pen and asked to take a seat in this big underground room will alot of chairs and several flat screens that constantly play clips of the Tyra Show ( are you as sick of Tyra right now as I am at this point?) You are then made to wait there until they bring you inside for taping.
While there, you have to fill out the paper that they gave you, which as it turns out is a "Release", that states, the show is able to use your image for anything and at anytime FOREVER! And that they can do what ever they want with it. Also, by signing it , you CANNOT SUE the Tyra Show for ANY REASON! So if you fall and hurt yourself, you are not able to sue, or if a piece of equipment falls on you, you are not able to sue!..You are basically singing away your rights to safety and identity!
One of the workers from the show, tells you to have your ID ready while they come around and Initial the "Release" so that they can make sure that the release and the ID match and is signed and filled out! While they are checking ID's several otter employee's from the show are asking for participants needed for upcoming shows .....

FYI, they wanted Fashion Disasters and people who can't cook...I wonder if she counts? Because I haven't seen her turn on the stove in one episode of that Hills Show . And the other one can't design her way out of a paper bag....did you see her clothing at Kitson selling, buy one get on free?

One thing that really bothered me was not that the bathrooms for right in the room , but the fact that the doors were left open and not allowed to be closed, so that everyone could see you using the Bathroom, ( men and women) , they could see you in the stall and washing your hands, and etc....why the hell would you do that ? No privacy what so ever!
Now, its about 10:45pm ( after abt 2 hours of waiting) and they start to call people to stand in line by numbers ( this is the number on the cards that they gave you when you came in). You stand in line to board a huge freight elevator with about 40 other people and head to 4th floor studio. Once we get to the studio , we are told to follow this pink lined walkway around the back to be seated. When we get on actual set, we are asked how many in the party and set by the Audience Coordinator. We actually sat in the front row. Once everyone is seated and the studio is full the gay Audience Coordinator ( AKA AC) tells us the rules and to give energy and that everyone will be on camera, but if you start to cry, you will definatly be on camera ( big surprise).
The AC takes 4 people from the audience and plays a game of Pop Culture Q & A and whatever person gets it right, get more camera time ( so that is why during the show and going in and out of the commercials, that they show certain people for the show....they are the ones that won that little contest). In addition to the extra camera time, they also get a CD and T-shirt... by the way , the CD was the the less talented and pretty sister as well as Coat Tail Rider......

So now its 11:20am and the show is about to begin taping, we all jump up as taping beings and Tyra comes out.

The show is taped in 20 minute increments. Also, one thing to note is that Trya not only has a TelePrompter but she has 2 people on the side, with CUE CARDS! and while she is talking to them, they write questions to ask during the interview.....For someone who is big on learning your lines ( reference ANTM) she obviously needs all the help she can get....
Also, if she messes up, then we have to do another take, this show we had to do 3 takes at one segment...very tedious! In addition, during the 90 second commercial breaks she doesn't stay on stay, once they go out, she immediately rushed backstage, and stands until time for next segment, almost like she doesn't want anyone bothering her. Also, when she is on stage , three of these guys

Are on the stage at all times....and I mean ALL TIMES! When she is taping, they are on the sides ( out of shot) but as soon as she is on stage, they are right there! I found this was odd, since ....well I will just say it, she is no Naomi Campbell, but there was a rumor that she had a stalker ( don't know if that is true ) but it would make sense that they were that close if that is the truth.
Taping ended at 12:30pm ( 3 1/2 hours later) and she comes out and the stylist takes a picture of her in her outfit ...she even made sure the stylist got the shoes in the picture. and then they take a picture of her jewelery.
She then sat on the chair on stage and said that when she has a few minutes, she answers questions, so she did a Q & A for about 10 minutes, then walks off because she said she wanted to have lunch with her Mother who was in town. Then we are ushered out the door and on our way!

Now Tyra has been very candid about the makeup that she wears to look like this, but I and several others by there comments , was floored by the amount of makeup caked on her face in person! When you see her on t.v she looks made up, but not overly done. When you see her in person on the taping, OMG! She has so much Makeup on it;s astounding... I don't know how her skin can breathe!
Even if you don't like Tyra she is a pretty girl and in person, she looked just like a Black Barbie doll, with the hair and makeup.....
I just wish the who taping experience was better.
Everyone who came out of the show, just looked like ....well when you ride a roller coaster and just didn't meet your expectations...so I don't think if I have another opportunity to go, I will be at another taping of the Tyra Show and listening to alot of the other audience members while riding in the freight elevator after taping.....neither will alot of other people!

P.S...wether you like Tyra or not , you have to give her props for stretching her Vicky Secrets modeling into other careers...of course this is helped by the blatant self promotion in every interview and talk show that she does

Jennifer Hudson marrying a Punk?

In the OMG of the week, our own little Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson is engaged to the reality star Punk from "I Love New York 2"!

According to usmagazine.com, her rep confirmed with them that the two are indeed engaged and that he popped the question on her 27th birthday with a Neil Lane Diamond!
For anyone who doesn't know, Punk (David Otunga) was a contestant via for the love of New York ( Tiffany Pollard) on VH1's second season of " I Love New York". He was eliminated by Tiffany when it was down to the final three , leaving her to pick from Tailor Made and Buddha. We have since learned thru her train wreck of a reality show now airing "New York Goes to Hollywood" , that after ultimately choosing Tailor Made that it didn't work out with him, so she is back to where she started.
I have always questioned, along with his family ( if you saw any of the episodes) why Punk was on that show. Otunga aka Punk is a Harvard grad who has worked with Rev. Jesse Jackson's Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, so one would wonder what has in common with an obvious ...shall we say Media Whore? Even though this was the second season, and everyone knew her personality, he would always looks so disappointed in her behavior as if it was news to him that she was like this!
We are glad to see he came to his senses and obviously Oscar Winner and fantastic songstress Jennifer Hudson is a step up from this mess...

Details are still out on how and when Hudson and Otunga even met, having dated a little less than a year.Since the last time we knew and saw, she was had another boyfriend who has been with her when she was an unknown on American Idol, ( even took him to the Academy Awards) but I guess its out with the old and in with the new.. I hope it last longer than this ....

Her debut solo album, Jennifer Hudson, will be in stores Sept. 30, and her next film, The Secret Life of Bees with Queen Latifah opens on Oct. 17.

Is the Janice Dickinson a real modeling agency?

Well if no one else will say it , I will.....I luv Janice Dickinson. Yes, she is basically an ex druggy , loud mouth hot mess...but she is great t.v!
Last night on the Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency, she gave all the models free teeth procedures, that they couldn't even hope to afford and lorded over a photo shoot for a Jeans Company ( which will remain nameless as they are not paying for advertising, lol).

By moving and living at the model house, she hopes that her "Talent" will rub off on the models and make them better...better at what I have yet to see. And with her own brand of "Mommy Dearest" behavior she wonders why some of the models are not living up to expectations

But the real story was this asshole!! and thy name is "Kehoe" ( yes, I am not making this up!)

He has been a trouble maker since the first season and apparently judging from last episode, Janice has had enough!
First he went out for a swim and decided to take a bath while there, hence him soaping up in the pool, then he sexually harassed all of the newer models as well as just generally being a dickhead!.

Even the hearing impaired model that is on the show, Martin, stated ( via sign language) that Keho talks too much....he can hear is babbling, he so loud, LMAO!

The thing that pushed Janice over the edge, is when he asked one of the models why she was drinking so much tea and she stated that she was trying to loose weight ( big surprise) and he said that she should just do blow.

Janice, being an ex drug addict got upset and told him to leave, having him escorted out.....who would have thought! Though this is a modeling agency and she has these clients that book her models, I don't think this is legitimate....I really think it's just for the television and that is sad, for a women who was a supermodel and got a career boost from America's Next Top Model, she could have done alot for these aspiring models, instead of just making them already Has Been D-list Reality Stars......

So last night was the premier of " The Rachel Zoe Project" on Bravo and I think she may be back for Season 2 judging on the drama that ensued!

When one looks at the ravaged face of Rachel, one can't help to think....is this what the Olsen Twins are going to look like when they get older?
With the huge bug eyed sunglasses and the over abundance of furs.....did I mention she lives in L.A? She looks like a crack fiend, but albeit a pricey one. Years of starving herself and by looking at her malnourished body, probably throwing up have aged her considerably. She is only in her mid thirties, but already looks as though she is 45!
This might be why she is always cold....I mean who wears furs in L.A? The same people who wear those UGG Boots in hot weather!

Though Rachel's antics are fun to watch, the real fun is watching the perpetually bitchy Taylor ( Rachel's Asst and right hand) and her mood swings when it comes to the new kid on the block...Brad! Taylor has no patience for Brad and his up beat attitude , that even includes training him!

It's only day one and they have already gotten into it, with Taylor basically calling Brad incompetent! I think that the relationship between the two of them is what really is the reason to watch....that and if we actually see Rachel eating, because something tells me she doesn't!

Okay, so I happen to think that though these two shows are geared toward a teen audience , they are one of the best dramas and well written.

Between the back and forth of "Blaire Waldorf & Chuck Bass" or the addition of the cheating "Duchess" , it is worth an hour of your time.
The same could be said of the re-energized "One Tree Hill", how surprised were you that Nathan chose Peyton to marry? I just hope this doesn't do a "Moonlighting" and go down hill now that the two main characters are together....
But I think the most disturbing or should I say surprising story line is Skills and Deb.....How did they even come to that?

Okay, I am just going to admit it........I watch "The Hills" ... I can't help it. These people are so ridiculous and out of touch with reality, that its addictive!
During a Brody Birthday weekend in Vegas,Brody Jenner and his buddy ( dissed love interest of L.C) Doug, ended up in jail.....that's Casino Jail ! and for those of you not schooled in the thug life, its a comfortable room that they keep you in for a few hours, similar to a drunk tank..no biggy!

While back in L.A, the big Pratt was telling Heidi's sister that she needed to move out!, causing her to be embarrassed and upset, so she left.....Apparently he has forgotten living on his sisters couch for months when Heidi kicked him out!

But the big story of the show was the "talk" between L.C and Audrina, that lead to L.C's mascara tear blackened picture above. Audrinas response was "she doesn't know how things got like this"...well I do Audrina, they got like this because of.......

We all know that this bitchy newcomer is the cause of some of the tension, but like all good hour long scripted shows, they came to a resolution to start fresh and move forward......lets see how long the kissy kissy last.....

Lauren Conrad's Big Diaper!

So our resident media tease......( Heidi and Spencer are the hardcore Media Whores) decided to come to the show in a white diaper!

This dress, though cute at the top, looked like a big, wrinkled diaper on film. That coupled with the "messy ponytail up sweep" hairdo that she has....it looks like she rolled out of bed, put on some makeup and came to VMA's. You would think she had some time to pick out an outfit seeing as she and everyone else doesn't do anything on that show!
Didn't she get the hint when her crappy fashion line failed to makes sales ( its at kitson on a buy one get one free rack) I gues she figures the 1 class that she takes at FIDM( that's the only class we see her taking with Stephanie) is enough to classify her as a designer

Two media seekers taking every advantage at a photo op together......Where is Courtney Semal, Tila?...cause I don't think Lauren is interested.
And I am not even going to get started with whats wrong with these two!

And Heidi has even got her sister in the mix....first they introduced her on the hills last night, and now she is at the VMA....be careful Spencer, you make be on the road to being replace!

As far as the others...........do you even care about these two....Stephanie and Audrina.....it won't be long before they are on the outs with Lauren as well....( it Lo has anything to say about it)

VMA's....the return of Britney?

The much hyped Video Music Awards premiered last night and how many of you were as underwhelmed as I was?
For a show that has a history of scandalous moments, ground breaking performances and funny host show monologues, this years VMA's, left me feeling like a one night stand...empty and unsatisfied. This was suppose to the 25th anniversary...where was the celebrity beefs, the lesbian kissing,...the Kanye backstage hissy fits? Though after promising to never grace the MTV stage again after not leaving with a moon man at last years VMA's, he came back this year to close out the show.....guess you do need them huh Kanye? Who the hell do you think is buying your albums?
The show was hosted by a virtual unknown to American audiences...Russell Brand.For most Americans, this and the commercials, were the first glimpses they had of the British comedian and British MTV host.

Known for his outlandish behavior ( he was fired for coming to set dressed like Osama Bin Laden after 9/11) and publicized & self confessed background of Heroin, Cocaine and Sex Addiction, I guess MTV thought he would be great for the VMA, but his British Humor fell on deaf ears. The only joke that was consistent through out the whole show was his constant berating of the Jonas Brothers and there commitment to virginity by wearing a promise ring. This cause our own American Idol Jordin Sparks to say when she got on stage to present:

" just wanna say, it's not bad to wear a promise ring because not every guy and a girl wants to be a slut, OK?"

Everyone needs to just CHILL-AX!.....they're jokes!Though Brand was trying as hard as he could to be crazy and outrageous, our resident crazy celebrity Britney Spears, was doing all she could to keep the crazy under wraps! She looked great in a beaded short dress and was coherent in her speech. She looked like the old slutty Britney that we grew to love....(we are not big Britney Spears, fans, but it looks like she is doing well...finally)

I am sure that there are those who would like to see her drugged out and acting crazy in a Walgreens ( Adnan Ghalib)...because that's where the money is, but when you are a mother...its not cute.
Christina Aguilera performed at the show, started off with an interesting remix of "Genie in a Bottle", Having just had her baby, this was probably not the best outfit to wear, making her hips look huge...reminds me of those Mommy Jeans

One of the better performances was Paramore with Hayley Williams great vocals, and Pink, who took to the back lot, with pyrotechnics and a little slide down some white fabric from a second story building

I was surprised to see Danity Kane there .....and without Day 26 or Donnie, riding the coattails....I am still shocked to see Aubrey O'Day, still in the band....I give her till the end of the year and she is going to do a Beyonce.

And my favorite group from America's Next Dance Crew..."Fanny Pack" won the competition to present "Best Dance Video"!

After seeing them robed of the ANDC Title ( the wack ass Super Cr3w Won) it was good to see them on stage and getting thier due.

"Sorority Forever"...the WB rip off of "Greek"

There is a new "Web Series" called "Sorority Forever" that is being hyped all over the place and premiers online September 8th, with new episodes every week.
The premise of the show is :

"Phi Chi Kappa is the hottest sorority on campus. For every freshmen girl, getting in seems like a dream come true, but there are mysteries around every corner of the Phi Chi House. Behind the sex, the drama, and the beautiful people lies a terrifying secret.”

With the now defunct WB station, ( having merged with UPN), this show would have fit right in the any of the previous offerings from that station ( Gilmore Girls, Buffy the Vampire Slayer). So, it looks like in an effort to capture some of its former glory, the have created a new series only viewable online at the WB website. With the standard young and pretty cast and the ominous undertones, it looks like the same recipe they used before.
After looking at the trailer, it looks like a more serious and less interesting version of ABC Family Channels show "Greek", in fact, our own little "Jenn K" from the first season of "Greek" is in the new show.
Even if the show is not good, it's worth taking a look at the website to watch the Classic Buffy the Vampire Slayer , Angel and One Tree Hill episodes...... Lets just see how this does....I reserve the right to crap on it after the first two episodes!

Tabatha's Salon Makeover......God Bless the Queen!

What if Mary Poppins was a hairstylist and instead of singing to you, she degraded and embarrassed you on national t.v? Well that is what you get on Bravo's new show Tabitha's Salon Makeover!
Tabatha Coffey, ( an Australian Native, not England) was the runner up on the first season of Bravo's hit television show Shear Genius. Known for being the tough talking, and very frank contestant on the hair styling competition, she now brings her aggression ( and obvious disgust) to struggling salons in the hopes of turning these money pits into cash cows.

This week she traveled to the Giovanni and Pileggi Salon in New Jersey ( which is another land in itself!) and met with one of the most ridiculous salon owners to ever own a business........

Martino Cartier

With his spiky highlighted tipped hair, thick gold chain and shirt unbuttoned to his navel, he styles hair, sexually harasses customers, kisses them on the lips and did we mention...........is 300k in debt and wonders why? In addition, he spends enormous amounts on his ...or what he calls his lavish lifestyle........after a visit to his house, we would call it Tacky....but that would be offensive to the word. The gold plated railing, white furniture and marble, it can rival Trump's apartment for the most gaudy living space ever!

One of the best moments of the show was when Tabatha had a meeting with the stylist to tell them that there workplace was filthy, even showing the 2" thick hair encrusted brushed ( which they use on people...nasty) and the layer of dust and grime on the mirrors. One of the stylist took so much offense to be told to clean up that he and Tabatha had a smack down. Obviously he has never heard of the Board of Health!

In the end, they all got on track and the show remolded the salon( as they do with every show) and even the rude stylist apologized and got with the program. The real test will be if they go back in a year and the salon is still making money.
Either way, this Hairstyling Dominatrix is worth the hour long watch, if not for the makeover, at least for watching her demean the American business owners!

Top Design....Replacement for Design Star?

The new and second season of Bravo TV's Top Design premiered this week and the question of the day is.........How Annoying is D List Actor Ricky Schroder's Wife!
This series take 13 contestants and puts them thru challenges that are judged by Jonathen Adler, Margaret Russell and Kelly Wearstler, all of which are established interior designers in there own right. The only difference between this show and HGTV's Design Star is that Top Design get 100K and a 4 page spread in Elle Decor Magazine, while HGTV's Design Star gets money and there own show!.....You tell me who gets the better deal!
The shows resident design guru is Todd Oldman ( think Tim Gunn....just less formal), which is a suprise to any fashionista as he started out as a well known NYC Fashion Designer,....even had a show on MTV called House of Style. He just kind of evolved into the Interior Design......remember his Target Line, before Issac Mizrahi did it?
The Most Annoying Charecter on this show, by far is Andrea ( Don't associate me with my d list husband) Schroder!

She starts off her interview, by saying she doesn't want to be associated with Ricky Schroder and wants to be recognized on her own merit and is so afraid of people finding out.....but then why even mention it? No one cares about your barely D List Husband...I mean, he hasnt had a hit television show since NYPD Blue back in the 90's ...and they killed him off without him even being there to film it. Last time I check using the name Ricky Schroder will probably get you laughed out of Mr. Chow's not into it! And to top it all off she is very bossy and controlling... I forsee alot of Drama from her side! She completely threw her other team mates under the bus during the critique for the first challenge

Which was to decorate an apartment with 4 teams of 3 based on Judges taste. Her team's apartment landed in the bottom with the only salvagable area being that bedroom, which she took credit for and ultimately stayed to design another day.

One of my favorites is Wisit, a fashion designer out of Illinois... he created these shadow boxes during a design challenge to win immunity

He really seems to be creative and with his Fashion Design background, he could think "outside of the box" in a way that may give him the upper hand.......
The show is worth watching and can't wait to see what happens next

America's Next Top Forgettable Model

So the new season of America's Next Top Model Cycle 11 ,kicked off on Wed and at this point, its no longer a model competition, but sadly it has just become another entertaining reality show.
In 11 seasons Tyra Banks has yet to produce a true top model, that can hang with the likes of Maggie Riser, Kate Moss, Liya Kebede or even an Omyra. Most have fallen into oblivion, others have had very moderate success in other areas, but only a rare few have have success at being an actual Model. Only three ANTM winners have the potential to be super stars, that being Caridee, Saleisha and my personal favorite ..............

Jaslene.....One of the very few "Models" that ANTM has produced. Even the great Fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, who commented on ANTM and Project Runway in the September 2006 issue of Harper's Bazaar, slammed it as "trash that is funny for five minutes if you're with other people. If you're alone, it's not funny. Those girls will never be the next Gemma Ward. There is no justice in the fashion business." Ward was discovered in Australia's Search for a Supermodel, a similarly-themed model reality show that was created before ANTM and aired in Australia in early 2003. Lagerfeld also served as a photographer for the French version of ANTM .

I think that they really "jumped the shark" when they made Whitney Thompson the winner of Cycle 10.. I love the fact that they have plus size modeling, but out of the two of the finalist, she was not the best model. Out of all of the plus size models that have been on this show, she may have gotten the furthest, but is the least liked. She photgraphs older and every face is the same, ...that vacant stare with the half opened mouth...on all of her porfolio pictures...the girl is only in her early 20's and looks like she is 35 .

In fact , of the the 140 + contestants on that show, only 4 girls (The girls being Jaslene Gonzalez of Cycle 9, Megg Morales of Cycle 7 and Lisa Jackson of Cycle 9 and Danielle (called Dani Now) Evans of Cycle 6)have gotten a Fashion Week Show Card, to walk the runways....for those of us that don't speak fashion, you must be "Runway Ready" and approved by the agency before they send you out On the go sees for Fashion Week, which means in shape , slim , trim and starving.

This new crop of "models" is forgettable , but does have a few stand outs, whether for the drama or actual model potential .

Isis is are resident transgender, who I think will blow all of the away....the only problem is , she won't win...not because she isn't good, quite the opposite, she is fantastic, but being transgender, some bigoted people may have a problem working with her on photo shoots, when she tries to book a gig. People might say that they are open minded, to your face, but in reality they are not.. Several girls are already hating on her, due to jealousy, most notably Clark and Analeigh..... I wish her the best.

Sheena Queen of Harlem and our little Kimora Lee Simmons ( don't tell her I said that). I can't tell you how much I love Sheena...oh , she will never be a Top Model, but the girl has got flava and is very real. I think she will at least make it to the middle of the competition, but will definitely be eliminated. Something also tells me she may get into a fight during the season ( oh please lord, make it so!)...tell me that doesn't look like Kimora

Clark our own little Moral Authority, already in the first episode she has solidified herself as a bigot, slight racist ( and I am being generous by using the word slight) and a gossipy hater. She can't stand that Isis is in the house, has already made comments about people not like that in the south ( which I highly doubt) and claims to be the best in the competition...this coming from a girl who didn't take a good picture.
My Favorite quote from her is "What is Bureaucracy ?"......Did I mention she is from a Red State?

Next weeks episode should be even better as several of the house guest question Analeigh about being a racist.... good t.v!
