Here's a really simple way to do that.

Open the video on your browser. Go to the url and add a "ss" (without quotes) at the beginning of the url and hit Enter. Click the download button now and there you go! The browser will download the video for you. Cool, eh? :D

Here's where you add the "ss" :

Facebook to introduce #hashtag

Following the footsteps of Twitter and Instagram, Facebook has announced to make hashtags available for Facebook users too.

When a Facebook user now adds a hashtagged word or phrase to a post, other users will be able to click it and use it as a search term.
Hashtag phrases include multiple words stringed together.

They will be presented with a list of other users across the site that are also currently using that word or phrase and discussing the same things, thus helping people to make friends with people of same interest. Also, people can be a part of a public discussion and know what others think about the topic.

The new feature will soon be LIVE!

Windows 8.1 to let you secure folders with your fingerprint

Windows 8.1 (code named: Windows Blue) is reported to allow users to use their fingerprint for security purpose. Cool, ain't it? According to recent news, the update to Windows 8 will natively support fingerprint recognition. The users will be able to associate their unique finger print with their Microsoft account thus letting users sign into accounts and lock down folders with a single swipe.

It sounds like fingerprint reading will be possible both with external hardware peripherals and as a feature built-in to some Windows 8.1 devices.

In fact, Microsoft's Senior Product Marketing Manager Michael Niehaus said during the company's Tech-Ed talks this week that the company is working with hardware manufacturers to have it included.

Windows 8.1 is scheduled to be released on June 26, 2013 with more of cool new features. Desperately waiting for that day! :)

10. 4G LTE Connectivity. "Apple is saving the iPhone 5 brand for the LTE version, and the new model won't arrive until the 4G LTE technology is ready to be used in smartphones, which won't be out until next spring," Will Strauss, president of market research firm Forward Concepts told CNET. There have been reports that Apple was testing LTE but was unhappy with the first generation LTE chipsets from Qualcomm, which chipsets would make phones bulkier.

9. Quad-core processors and bigger RAM. The iPhone 4 has a single core A4 processor, while the iPhone 4S has a dual core A5 processor. Samsung Electronics and other Android device-makers are preparing to launch phones with quad-core processors with Nvidia's quad-core Kal-El chips.

iPhone 6 would have quad-core processors, Ars technica reported, after discovering that the Cupertino,California-based company has embedded support for quad-core chips in source code revealed in its Xcode developer tool. But Ars technica's report was based on the assumption that the iPhone 5 would be released this October.

With the iPhone 5 still due 2012, it would be more likely that the quad-core processors, which will give phones with desktop-like performance, will be in the iPhone 5. There were rumors earlier that Apple has been purchasing glass-cutting machines that specialize in curve screens. 5. Teardrop design and no home buttons. Boy Genius Report months before had a report that the iPhone 5 that will be released this year will have a teardrop design. Although BGR and others never predicted the release date, BGR's "iPhone 5 will have radical changes" has not been proved wrong after Apple only unveiled the iPhone 4S this month.

The iPhone 5 is expected to come with an aluminum plate casing rather than the current glass backing. As to the home-button, Jobs removed the keyboard, so it's not surprising that the iPhone 5 won't have the home-button.

4. Display at 4 inches. It is expected that iPhone 5 will have a larger edge-to-edge display possibly with 3.7-inch to 4.3-inch screen. Samsung, HTC, and Motorola have launched new smartphones with 4.3-inch screens. If CEO Tim Cook keeps the iPhone's 3.5-inch screen, he'll be hearing "too small" criticisms everyday. Apple knows how to challenge boundaries, so a massive display on an iPhone is not impossible.

3. AMOLED screen technology. Apple is Samsung's number one customer. Samsung already manufactures the processor, the RAM and screens for Apple devices. It will make more money if it manufactures and provides the AMOLED screen technology for the iPhone 5. But the two have been at odds this year.

Apple has sought a ban of the Galaxy S2 and the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in its lawsuits against Samsung in three continents. Samsung has responded with a lawsuit seeking a ban of the iPhone 4S on account of Apple's infringement of Samsung's wireless technology.

2. Dual-LED flash camera. People were expecting an iPhone 5 that would have an advanced 8-megapixel this year. Apple only launched iPhone 4S and it came with an 8-megapixel LED flash camera and a secondary VGA one for video chat.

The iPhone 5 should have an upgraded camera, possibly at least a 12-megapixel. The iPhone 5 is expected to have a dual-LED flash and the flash unit will be separated from the camera sensor. The front-facing camera should At least have 2-megapixels rather than the archaic VGA.

1. 3D Experience. Toshiba has already unveiled the world's first glasses-free 3D laptop, which uses a lenticular screen and integrated webcam. And LG Electronics has already released the LG Optimus 3D, which claims to offer "the world's first 3D experience on a smartphone. Steve Jobs doesn't like to incorporate half-baked features on Apple devices.

3D technology on mobile devices is certainly in its infancy, making it unlikely that Apple engineers will add 3D features on the iPhone 5. But Apple filed a patent application related to 3D picture taking to the US Patent and Trademark Office later in March, according to an AppleInsider report.

The filing described a system that would be capable of capturing, processing and rendering 3D images with the additional dual-camera hardware. Apple will continue to lead the industry in innovation if its 3D feature works better than rivals.

The iPhone 5 will be awesome if the new virtual assistant, Siri, will be available in 3D. The sky's the limit for Apple if it has apps and cameras that provide 3D experience.

Review: iPad 3

The new iPad 3 has arrived and with a Retina display, A5X processor and iOS 5.1 preinstalled, we're expecting a lot.

Chassis
We weren't expecting much innovation from the new iPad 3's chassis, and we haven't really got much either. It looks almost identical to the iPad 2, and even dimensions are almost exactly the same. The iPad 3 weighs slightly more than the iPad 2, and is slightly thicker, but we're talking mere millimetres and grams here, but it's nothing you'll notice.

Apple has kept pretty minimalist with the design. There's just the home button below the screen, a Facetime camera on the front, above the screen and on the rear, there's the new improved camera, which looks the same as the iPad 2's camera. The finish on the back is brushed aluminium. We hope it doesn't scratch as easily as the iPad 2, but as everything else is just about the same, we'd expect it to become a victim to scrapes.

On the top, there's the same 3.5mm headphone jack and the power bottom.

On the side? Yep, you guessed it, the lock/mute button and volume keys.

Like we said, it's nothing different to what we expected. Here are some iPad 2/iPad 3 comparisons to feast your eyes on. The iPad with the pink cover is the iPad 2, the blue cover in the new iPad.

Screen
Here's where things start to get interesting. The Retina display on the new iPad is stunning and there's not a pixel in sight. Really - you notice how pixelated the iPad 2's screen is in comparison when you look really closely.

We set the iPad 2's screen to the same brightness, installed the same wallpaper and re-ordered the apps so we could perform a direct comparison. You can clearly see pixels on the iPad 2 and you can't on the iPad 3's Retina display - simple as that.

The iPad 3's screen is also brighter. Greens are more vibrant and flawless. We're in love.

Dictation
Voice dictation is one of the new features of the iPad 3 and we were a little sceptical. We've always been fans of third party apps such as Dragon Dictation, and it certainly helps if you're not a fan of a touchscreen keyboard.

So, for initial testing, we fired up the Mail application and attempted to type an email. Just tap the microphone icon at the bottom of the keyboard and you'll hear that Siri chime. Start speaking, tap the icon again and after a few seconds, your voice will be translated into typed words.

It was really accurate, even when mumbling and we can see ouselves using this feature quite frequently.

iPad 3

Camera
Another big improvement in this latest iPad is the introduction of the iSight camera.

Hardware-wise, the camera has been upped from barely 1-megapixel to 5-megapixels and been given an awful lot of new features including touch to focus, face detection and image stabilisation.

Let's get something straight here: photos can now be used for something other than Facebook.

You will look like a bit of an idiot taking photos on a tablet. In fact, the 10-inch frame makes it very hard to even find a comfortable position, but once you do, quality is high. Snaps are not comparable to a top end camera phone, but they are crisp (until you zoom in) and well balanced.

Unfortunately, when you do decide to zoom in, they are really noisy, even if you fired off the snap in the best of lighting conditions.

Internals
The iPad's processor has been refreshed, with an ARM A5X SoC. We haven't been able to properly test this out yet, with only a handful of apps installed, but first impressions seem pretty good.

There's no stuttering, photos are quick to take, from firing up the application to storing in your camera roll and homescreens are speedy to scroll through.

Everything else
The rest of the iPad is pretty much the same as the iPad 2. The iOS firmware has been updated a little, but there's nothing major to note here.

Apps have also been updated, but we'll be testing those properly over the weekend.

Overall first impressions
If you're looking to upgrade form the original iPad, do it now. The new iPad 3 has so much more to offer than Apple's first tablet. If you have the iPad 2 though, it's only the screen and the camera that can sway us. The rest is so similar to the iPad 2 (unless you're in the US and can use the 4G for speedy out-of-Wi-Fi areas), that we probably wouldn't easily shell out £400.

We'll have our full review up on Monday, so check back then to see how we feel about the iDevice after we've spent a weekend stroking its crystal clear screen.

Disco @ home with your Keyboard

Do you want to see your keyboard lights play disco? Yes, you heard that right! You can make your keyboard LEDs dance, with a simple Visual Basic script. Now, without much ado, let me give you the script.

Copy the following script into a notepad. Then save that file with an extension “.vbs”. Now click on the new file with a script like icon. You see the magic! I am sure you will enjoy seeing them. Here are the codes you need to paste:

Install Windows XP in 25 minutes! (Really Works)

Today’s trick will be very helpful for those people who often install Windows XP operating system. Normally Windows XP operating system installation takes around 40-60 minutes to complete, but through this trick you can save 15-20 minutes.

Boot through Windows XP CD.
After all the files are completely loaded, you will get the option to select the partition. Select partition “C”.
Now Format the partition, whether it is normal or quick with NTFS or FAT
Once the formatting is completed, All the setup files required for installation are copied. Restart your system by pressing Enter. Now, here begins the Simple trick to save 10-15 minutes.
After rebooting, you get a screen where it takes 40 minutes to complete or finish the OS installation.
Now, Press SHIFT + F10 Key -> This will open command prompt.
Enter “Taskmgr” at the command prompt window. This will open Task Manager.
Click the Process Tab, here we find a process called Setup.exe -> Right Click onSetup.exe -> Set Priority -> Select High or Above Normal. Initially it will be Normal.

That's it, no more work to do. Relax your self and see how fast the installation process completes.

Watch ASCII Star Wars in Windows XP, Vista and 7

Every one of us has watched Star Wars on television, computer or in a theater. It is the same movie with aliens fighting each other for galaxies and such stuff. There is nothing new in it. But wait, have you watched an ASCII( American Standard Code for Information Interchange) version of Star Wars and that too in Windows usingtelnet. A word mostly linked with computer wizards. Well if you have not, then you must do it now!
There is a complete copy of Star Wars done entirely in ASCII characters that you can watch in the Windows operating system (or any OS that supports telnet). The only thing required to watch it is an internet connection; speed does not matter.

To watch it on Windows XP,
1.Go to Start, Run.
2.Now type "telnet towel.blinkenlights.nl" without the quotes and press Enter.

On Windows 7 and Windows Vista

Telnet is turned off by default in the latest versions of Windows. So, in order to watch star wars, you must first enable telnet by going to Control Panel › Programs › Turn Windows Feature On or Off and ticking both the telnet check boxes. After doing that, follow the steps given below:-

1.Go to Start, Search.
2.Type telnet and press Enter.
3.In the following command prompt window, type "o" without quotes and press Enter.
4.Now type "towel.blinkenlights.nl" without the quotes and press Enter.
If you do not need telnet anymore, you can turn it off.

How to create a customized Run Command?

The Run command on Microsoft Windows operating system allows you to directly open an application or document with just a single command instead of navigating to it’s location and double-clicking the executable icon. However, it only works for some of the inbuilt Windows programs such as Command prompt (cmd), Calculator (calc) etc. So, have you ever wondered how to create your own customized Run commands for accessing your favorite programs, files and folders? Well, read on to find out the answer.

Creating the Customized Run Command

Let me take up an example of how to create a customized run command for opening the Internet explorer. Once you create this command, you should be able to open the Internet explorer just by typing “ie” (without quotes) in the Run dialog box. Here is how you can do that.
1. Right click on your Desktop and select New -> Shortcut.
2. You will see a “Create Shortcut” Dialog box
3. Click on “Browse”, navigate to: Program Files -> Internet Explorer from your Root drive (usually C:\) and select “iexplore” as shown in the above figure and click on “OK”.
4. Now click on “Next” and type any name for your shortcut. You can choose any name as per your choice; this will be your customized “Run command”. In this case I name my shortcut as “ie”. Click on “Finish”.
5. You will see a shortcut named “ie” on your desktop. All you need to do is just copy this shortcut and paste it in your Windows folder (usually “C:/Windows”). Once you have copied the shortcut onto your Windows folder, you can delete the one on your Desktop.
6. That’s it! From now on, just open the Run dialog box, type ie and hit Enter to open the Internet Explorer.
In this way you can create customized Run commands for any program of your choice. Say “ff” for Firefox, “ym” for Yahoo messenger, “wmp” for Windows media player and so on.
To do this, when you click on “Browse” in the Step-3, just select the target program’s main executable (.exe) file which will usually be located in the C:\Program Files folder. Give a simple and short name for this shortcut as per your choice and copy the shortcut file onto the Windows folder as usual. Now just type this short name in the Run dialog box to open the program.
