Just sharing my outfit for graduation last March. I still look rounder here ^_^. I found this black and gold lace dress stashed at the back of mom's closet. I am so glad I found it. Mom's closet is like a treasure chest with infinite stuffs. I never get tired looking through it because there's always something new in there. Just a little alteration and it fits me perfectly! As for the shoes, I wore the Kami boots i got from Gold Dot. These babies gathered quite a lot of stares that day. Even the professors couldn't stop from openly gawking at my them, lol. Shoes like these are a little bit out of the ordinary for some people here in the province, thus the stares. These shoes are very comfortable actually, they're light so it's really easy to walk in.

Bt the way, this dress reminds me a little of the Dolce and Gabbanna's autumn/winter 2012 collection.

Backlog post.. =)

Wore this to the uni's baccalaureate mass last March 23rd. If you aren't familiar with it, it's actually a mass dedicated to the graduating seniors. In my uni's case, it was held a day before graduation. My dress here seems a bit inappropriate for church, eh? But don't fret! I had my toga to wear over it. ^_~

Anyway, you wouldn't believe how little I spent on this outfit! I only shelled out less than 700 pesos (about $15) on everything except for the purse. That's why I love dear old Divisoria, it's a heaven for budget shopping.

With mom, pretty in pink. =)

030312 supersale bazaar day 2

Another backlog. =)

Went to the second day of SuperSale bazaar last March to accompany my bestfriend, May. She was looking for an outfit to wear for her cousin's wedding. This girl is always so hard to shop with, so picky! (lol. dear, if you're reading this, peace! but you know i'm right! ^_~) It took us forever to find the perfect dress, she actually bought two.After she got the dress, we went hunting for shoes to pair her dress with. We were actually looking to buy a whole ensemble but she wasn't able to find her perfect nude shoes. So we bought everything from the bazar except for the shoes.

I look too overdressed right next to her, don't I? Yeah, she's simple like that. We're soul sisters but we can be complete opposite sometimes.

I wanted to buy this pair sooooo bad! They were on sale! Unfortunately, they didn't have it in my size. =(

It's so frustrating when you find a pair of shoes that you really like with the added bonus of being on sale, just to find out they're not your size and they're the last pair.

But still, the bazaar was so fun! I enjoyed drooling over so many pretty shoes from so many booths especially from DAS and Gold Dot. It was also great seeing a lot of stylish people and some of the bloggers that I look up to

There's been another SuperSale Bazaar just last week, too bad I'm not in Manila anymore. I hope I can attend the next bazaar though. And hey! There should be bazaars like this in Bicol as well! (wishful thinking) =)

030212 supersale bazaar day 1

Here's one of the backlogs I mentioned in the previous post. :)

I went to the SuperSale Bazaar with my cousins at the World Trade Center last March 2. I've been looking forward to this event for the longest time. Good thing I was still in Manila for this.


With THE Karl Leuterio in front of Gold Dot booth.^_^ Look at me! On fan girl mode, and a giddy one at that! Haha.. Ang gwapo lang nya, eh na star struck ako ng bonggang bongga! =D

I also saw Joanna Ladrido of Only the Marvelous. She's even prettier in person and she really does look like a doll. I wanted to take a photo with her too but she was busy with her booth and I was too shy to approach her. Anyway, there were so many goodies. My cousins were teasing me because they said I looked like a little kid in a toy store. I didn't know which booth to visit first. Too many pretty things, not too many cash on me. Haha..

Wore this to an impromptu road trip with my cousins a few weeks ago. I love how my shoes and blazer are matchy-matchy. Haha.. Anyway, I got the blazer from my mom's closet. I guess she had it sometime in the 90's. And the shoes, it's my new favorite! I just love the pink soles and it's contrast to the patent black.

DIY studded detachable collar

I've been see the collar trend around for a while now but it's only recently that I decided to DIY one. I wanted to take step by step photos but I only remembered to do it when I already cut off the collar. ^_^

What you'll need:
- Collared shirt (got mine from mom's old stuffs)
- Scissors
- Pliers
- Studs

1) Cut the collar off the shirt. Start cutting below the first button.

2) Prepare the other materials and start putting the studs.

And ta-da! You have yourself a studded detachable collar. =)

I'm still hunting for more collared shirts. I want to DIY more of this.

Too much red? Haha.. Took some photos before going to church. It was actually mom's idea to have a photo shoot. According to her, we both look pretty so we have to have our photos taken. I was more than happy to oblige. If in case you notice my mom's footwear change, let me explain. She didn't like that I'm taller than her so she ran to my room and changed into one of my shoes. So there, you can see her wearing my wedge. ^_^

Sharing my outfit photos of what I was supposed to wear to the homecoming. I changed my mind at the last minute coz I didn't want to be overdressed. I decided change my wedges to flats. Anyway I always have this dilemma when trying to come up with an outfit, I always worry if what I'm wearing is too much. Because from where I'm from, people stick to their typical outfits and when they see someone wearing something different from theirs, something out of the box its either they see you like a clown, an alien, a nutcase or all of the above). It's a challenge to show one's individuality in a place filled with prejudice. It's hard getting used to stares and sneers but I'm getting there. Haha.. =D

Went to my high school's homecoming. and it was good to see some old familiar faces. The event was a little boring, the music and the decor was so blah, I guess it was organized by the oldies and catered for the oldies. I still had fun though but still, it could have been a whole lot better if more of my former classmates were there. I'm looking forward to a better homecoming and more attendees next year. =)

karting experience

all geared up and ready to go!

This would've been a better picture if the Mayon didn't shy away.

Spent the whole afternoon last December 20th with the BFF at Embarcadero de Legazpi. We wanted to try the go-karting (is that even a word? :D) since we both haven't done it before. The weather was a little gloomy and it did rain for a little while. The track was wet with puddles and it looked a little slippery, but it didn't stop two thrill seeking girls from going for it. When the rain stopped, we geared up and went for it. It was so fun! I didn't mind the puddle splattering all over me, the speed felt amazing! The only problem I had was after our laps was that my clothes were soaked, haha. But all in all we had a fantastic time. I loved go-karting and I'll definitely be doing it again when I get the chance.

We went zip lining too. Although I wouldn't have done it if not for May. I've tried it before almost a year ago and it wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be (the line was short and it wasn't that fast. not thrilling at all). But I still did it anyway, what's there to lose, right? ^_~

I fell in love with these the instant I saw them on the shelf last December and it was on sale! Sadly I had to leave store empty handed since I was already broke from all the Christmas shopping. I was sure that it'll be gone by the time I return for them coz my size runs out pretty fast. But alas, I went there the other day and they still have my size and they're still on sale! This time I went out of the store grinning like a cheshire cat and carrying a bag with Anne Cutris' face on it.

Anyway, I've been a very bad blogger coz I haven't been updating this blog for more than a month. I got a few backlogs of blog entries so you'll be seeing those in the next few days. =)

May and I attended the 5th year of Dugong Atenista last Sunday at the Xavier Hall, Ateneo de Naga University. We always donate blood together, the last time was last year (i have a blog post about it here). It was supposed to be our third year as blood donors but May wasn't allowed to donate coz she had a surgery six months ago. So ayun, moral support na lang siya. ^_^ Anyway, you'll think that doing it for the third time will be easy already, but that wasn't the case for me. I was still so jittery from the start until the nurse inserted the needle in my arm. Ate nurse was telling me to relax kasi nanginginig daw ako, but I can't help it! Haha...

So yeah, everything went smoothly and it's good to know my bag of blood will help four people. It definitely feels great to be able to help in my own little way. =)
