1:30 Am: Midnight show... Thousands of people in front of theater, flashing their benefit show tickets with pride... Greeting others with happy 'Mirchi' shouts... Police men all around the theater controlling young rebel star fans... This is the status at benefit show theater in Hyderabad, guess what would be in Godavari districts crowds.
01:20 Am: Bit of tension at theater due to over enthusiasm of fans, show is delayed for couple minutes.
01:30 Am: Finally got in theater... Movie is yet to start... Huge slogans in theater STAR STAR REBEL STAR
01:40 Am: Title started with normal track... but the young rebel star simple yet cute entry with musician attire is nice...
01:44 Am: Richa's [Manasa] entry and first fight with wonderful dialogues and fight compose were given required elements for the Rebel Star entry as [Jai]

01:50 Am: Prabhas look and the dialogue delivery reminding darling movie but it is good to see on screen... Jovial Prabhas with trendy clothes and nice hairstyle along with cute smiley face gives a mass hero yet reminds next door guy.
01:54 Am: Peppy dance moves, regular foreign locations and white people... Yahoon! Yahoon! song comes up... though Richa is on screen, Prabhas steal the show.
01:54 Am: Dialogue are not hearable guys... Full of fan Shoutings
01:58 Am: Okay! Glimpse of Palnaadu faction on screen... Prabhas is back to Hyderabad as a collage student his action is neat.
01:58 Am: 'Subbaraju' as classmate to Prabhas... Looks a bit weird...
02:00 Am: 'Brahmi' entered the scene as 'Veera Pratap'... His intro is not all that funny, Bramhi flashback episodes are funny...
02:05 Am: Subbaraju episode is coming well on screen and Prabhas maintaining low profile is not clear... But looking suspensive
02:08 Am: Palnaadu episode... cruel and bloody
02:10 Am: Mirichi Mirchi Song... Full mass step, Red pepper all around and 'Hamsa Nandhini' looking very good.
02:13 Am: Prabhas tricking Subbaraju is all revealed... Prabhas is in Rayalseema... So far executed well...

02:46 Am: Faction chase scene was good... Prabhas saving one of villain was canned okay.
02:47 Am: Prabhas conversations with ladies gang was native.
02:49 Am: Opposite family head... Sathyaraj entry could be better visually, but the background score was nice.
02:50 Am: Prabhas mass entry with panche and red muffler and the following lengthy fight scene is more heroic than natural bit prolonging and could have been trimmed... But Prabhas on screen with the farm labor getup is good
02:54 Am: Interval bang with the twist was kind not bad. But could have been better.
03:05 Am: Prabhas cute looks, jovial action combined with intelligent thinking , his dance moves, DSP's background background score, songs, native faction atmosphere, few emotional faction scenes are the good ones... Downside is Richa, story is quite regular once so far, cinematography, in the name of nativity... scenes canned bit cheap, we would expect more grandeur show like hero Prabhas
03:09 Am: Prabhas flash back started... Prabhas is presented with a very neat getup... he is looking awesome.
03:11 Am: Flashback within flashback villages and Prabhas father... lot of drama, sentiment

03:40 Am: Dialogues are good... Story plot is turning interesting guys
03:43 Am: Prabhas is looking very good... Actually puri might take his comment back about Mahesh as the most handsome hero of Tollywood
03:47 Am: "Idhedho Bagundey" song comes up...
03:48 Am: The way director handled the attack scene on Prabhas home was neat.
03:50 Am: Anushka - Prabhas love episode is concluding with wonderful note and very nice dialogues and heart tounching scenes
03:54 Am: Silent romance of Anushka and Prabhas with few beautiful scenes in between was a visual treat... Song was shot with creative theme and for the first time it looked like a duet with hero and heroine in the song
03:57 Am: Anuskha and Prabhas back with most awaited song 'Darlingey' song... Sort of traditional art work, nice moves, Anushka, Prabhas grace make this song a loveable one...
03:59 Am: Sathyaraj and his wife family sentiment scenes are shot as required. Prabhas marriage episode started on good note
04:01 Am: Fight in pelli pattu panche... Reminds you 'Eshwar' Prabhas... Fight shot intelligently... Background music is soul to the fight.
04:03 Am: So far, Prabhas was presented with three shades of emotions and performance and he is living up to it.
04:04 Am: Heavy sentiment scenes are running, audience seem to connect well with the movie.
04:06 Am: 'Nee Choopula' song as Prabhas walking out of village shot with required emotions, nice to see on screen

04:16 Am: Veelaithe preemiddamraa poyedemundhi... Mahha ithe tirigi premistaru...
04:18 Am: Climax is sort of flat so far... But the way a 20 years paralyzed person getting up and talking was kewl.
04:19 Am: Cinematic... Everyone changed to good people and Prabhas settling down with Anushka as Predicted

Rebel Movie Review !!!!!

2012-09-28T01:49:00.000-07:00

Story

Rishi (Prabhas) who is on a mission is in search of Robert in Hyderabad. Narasaraju (Brahmanandam) joins him and in the occurring situations, Rishi realizes that he gets to know about Robert through Nandini (Tamanna), a hip hop dance teacher in Bangkok and heads to the place. He tries to woo Nandini on a mission and very soon the latter falls in love with Rishi. However, Nandini realizes that Rishi is on a mission which leads to the flashback of his tragic past. What is his past? What makes him turn gangster? will be answered in the next part of the story.

Performances:

Prabhas looked macho, ultra stylish and his costumes complimented him even more. He has done full justice to the role showing different variations in his character. The Young Rebel Star rocked the screens as a violent gangster and his height turned major asset for him in the action sequences.

Tamanna has set the screens on fire with her glamour quotient as a hip-hop dance teacher. The Milky White Beauty is proving time and again that she is the best dancer among the current heroines. Her dance moves in Google Search song are visual treat.

Deeksha Seth was given brief role in the film and she is convincing in her limited role.

Krishnam Raju played crucial role as Prabhas father Don Bhupathi but his getup could have been a bit better. Pradeep Rawat and Mukesh Rishi are good, Supreeth is perfect. Brahmanandam is good while Kovai Sarala is loud. Ali is wasted.

Technical Analysis:

Cinematography is good and the film looked colorful. Music is okay while the choreography is well-composed. The songs are well captured and the re-recording is okay. Action scenes are well-choreographed. Dialogues are good. Direction by Lawrence is mediocre while screenplay has few interesting moments. Editing could have been better as the second half is too long. VFX is poor. Production Values by Sri Balaji Cine Media banner is rich.

Analysis:

Rebel is Prabhas show all the way, he looks quite handsome and stylish, dances superbly, woos Tamanna, flexes his muscles, fights extravagantly, impresses with emotional scenes and What not??? He does everything in the movie. The initial comedy scenes in the film are good especially the scenes between Prabhas, Brahmanandam and Tamanna. The first half moves on with love scenes, comedy and a couple of neatly choreographed songs and the story pick momentum with interval bang. The interval action sequence is at peaks and is the biggest asset of Rebel and Prabhas performance is extraordinary. On the flipside, Lawrence could have taken care on the script and screenplay as it goes on predictable mode reminding us of his works in the film Mass. Action sequences blood-shed gets high in the second half though they are well-choreographed. Editing could have been much better as the run length is too long and most of the scenes could have been chopped off. The flashback scenes are weak and the twists are predictable. The pace picks up at instances, and like most of the Lawrence films, there are few good moments here and there.

Plus points

Prabhas

Tamanna’s glamour & dances

Interval block

Costumes & Styling

Action sequences

Songs picturisation

Mass elements to an extent

Minus Points

Direction

Lack of good comedy

Poor screenplay

Too much Violence

Run length

Final Verdict

Rebel- Despite few references to Lawrence's earlier films Mass & Don, Rebel appeals to Prabhas fans and hard core mass movie lovers…

Bollywood mourns Mehdi Hassan's death || Who killed Mehdi Hassan? || Mehdi Hassan: Pakistani Singer, 'King Of Ghazal,' Dies At 85 !!!

2012-06-13T18:04:00.001-07:00

Ghazal maestro Mehdi Hassan passed away in Pakistan today around 12:22 pm. Hassan who has a huge fan following in India as well as in Pakistan has landed his voice in many Bollywood films.

Bollywood and Pakistani singers expressed grief at the demise of the legendry singer. Melody queen Lata Mangeshkar called Hassan the 'voice of God'. “"A singer like him is born once in a millennium. It is my bad luck that I could not sing with him when he was healthy. Now I can only regret. With his demise the music fraternity has lost a great and legendary singer", says Nightingale Lata Mageshkar.

Singer Talat Aziz, who trained under Hassan, said, "I feel a tremendous personal sense of loss. I was his 'shagird', I spent a lot of time with him. For me he was a star. I don't have words to describe his loss. He was a great asset to the world of Ghazal. Though he was not singing for quite sometime, but he will be missed. There will never be another Mehdi Hassan."

"I remember him saying I can see 'sur'. We should celebrate him across India and Pakistan because he was an asset to both the countries. He was legendary. Such people come only once in a while," Pakistani Sufi singer Abida Parveen said.

Another Pak singer Adnan Sami said, "He has been an inspiration to anyone who has anything to do with music. He created an institution called Mehdi Hassan... I am still absorbing the news. It's difficult to digest that he has passed away."

Zila Khan said, "I am sad as I was when my father died. What aesthetics of music, what a great artiste he was. In his field of work he was a king because his choice of 'kalam', his music, was supreme." "It is a great loss. Everyone learnt from his music, technique and style of singing. I had the opportunity to meet him and he was always encouraging.

He has been unwell since quite sometime," said singer Chitra Singh, wife of late Jagjit Singh.

KP quits from ODI's and T20 's !!!!!!!!!!

2012-05-31T08:43:00.002-07:00

WE TOLD YOU FIRST

Read how Paul Newman first broke news of Pietersen's quit plan back in February

The 31-year-old has played 127 ODIs and 36 T20Is and was a first-choice player in both formats.

But he will now continue his England career as a Test specialist only following discussions with the England and Wales Cricket Board earlier this month.

Pietersen said: 'After a great deal of thought and deliberation, I am today announcing my retirement from international one-day cricket.

'With the intensity of the international schedule and the increasing demands on my body, approaching 32, I think it is the right time to step aside and let the next generation of players come through to gain experience for the ICC World Cup in 2015.'

Pietersen, who was man of the tournament when England won the World Twenty20 in the West Indies in 2010, was willing to help defend the trophy in Sri Lanka this autumn.

'I am immensely proud of my achievements in the one-day game, and still wish to be considered for selection for England in Test cricket,' he added.
'For the record, were the selection criteria not in place, I would have readily played for England in the upcoming ICC World Twenty20.'

Best foot forward: KP will now focus on the Test form of the game

Pietersen's absence for the World Twenty20 is particularly relevant given he was the only England batsman to be selected in the recently concluded Indian Premier League.

As a result of his decision, Pietersen's current England contract will be downgraded for the rest of its duration and he will only be available in the future for a lower-tier deal.

The ECB's decision not to allow players to pick and choose between ODI and Twenty20 formats has not previously been made public.

Andrew Strauss was the last senior player to retire from ODI cricket and he was not part of the Twenty20 set-up. As such, today's news brought out an explanation from the board.

Pedigree: Pietersen was player of the tournament at the 2010 World Twenty20 Cup

A statement read: 'The terms of the central contract state that any player making himself unavailable for either of the one-day formats automatically rules himself out of consideration for both formats of the game as planning for both formats is closely linked.

'This is designed to reflect the importance of one-day international cricket which is a strategic priority as England look for improved performances in the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy and the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup.'

Unclear: KP will likely continue to play in the IPL

Hugh Morris, managing director of England cricket, placed on record his thanks for Pietersen's efforts since his debut in 2004 but did not hide his frustration at the timing.

Morris said: 'The ECB is disappointed by the timing of Kevin's decision less than four months before we defend our ICC World Twenty20 title. Kevin is a world-class player and I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his efforts and we look forward to his continued contributions to the Test match side.

'The selectors will now replace Kevin in both the ODI and the T20 squads.'

His overall record - nine hundreds and 4184 runs at 41.84 - does not quite do justice to an exceptional talent who announced himself with three centuries in his second one-day series against a hostile South Africa.

England's Kevin Pietersen retires from limited-overs internationals || Pietersen retires from limited overs cricket: board !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2012-05-31T08:42:00.002-07:00

England's Kevin Pietersen in Nottingham earlier today

England star Kevin Pietersen retired from all forms of international limited overs cricket on Thursday, a decision which took the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) by surprise.

Pietersen, who will continue to be available for Test selection, said in a statement he wished to step aside in order to give the next generation of players a chance to bed in before the 2015 World Cup.

"After a great deal of thought and deliberation, I am today announcing my retirement from international one-day cricket," said Pietersen, who turns 32 next month.

"With the intensity of the international schedule and the increasing demands on my body, approaching 32, I think it is the right time to step aside and let the next generation of players come through to gain experience for the ICC World Cup in 2015," added Pietersen, who has scored 4,184 runs at an average of 42 in one-day internationals and averages 38 in international T20 cricket.

Pietersen's decision comes less than four months before England are due to launch the defence of their Twenty20 World Cup crown in September.

The South Africa-born batsman was man of the tournament when England won the title in the West Indies in 2010, and had indicated a willingness to remain part of the T20 squad in Sri Lanka this year.

However ECB rules dictate that centrally-contracted players must make themselves available for all forms of limited-overs cricket.

"I am immensely proud of my achievements in the one-day game, and still wish to be considered for selection for England in Test cricket," Pietersen said.

"For the record, were the selection criteria not in place, I would have readily played for England in the upcoming ICC World Twenty20."

However Pietersen's decision was greeted with dismay by ECB managing director Hugh Morris.

"The ECB is disappointed by the timing of Kevin's decision less than four months before we defend our ICC World Twenty20 title," he said.

"Kevin is a world-class player and I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his efforts and we look forward to his continued contributions to the Test match side."

ENGLAND :kevin peterson had retired from odi's and T20's !!!!!!!

2012-05-31T08:41:00.000-07:00

England will have to defend their Twenty20 world title later this year without Kevin Pietersen after he appeared to call their bluff in another example of his increasingly troubled relationship with his employers.

The England and Wales Cricket Board revealed the surprise news that Pietersen will no longer be considered for any form of one-day cricket in an unusually frank statement which revealed that he had wanted to continue in Twenty20 only but that they had refused to allow him to do so. Hugh Morris, the managing director of cricket, expressed his disappointment at the timing of the decision.

That conflict comes a week after the 31-year-old was fined an undisclosed sum for breaching the code of conduct for England contracted players by criticising the Sky commentator, Nick Knight, on Twitter. Pietersen will now be given a downgraded contract for Test cricket only from September and seems certain to spend more time in the Indian Premier League next year.

"After a great deal of thought and deliberation, I am announcing my retirement from international one-day cricket," Pietersen said. "With the intensity of the international schedule and the increasing demands on my body, approaching 32, I think it is the right time to step aside and let the next generation of players come through to gain experience for the ICC World Cup in 2015.

"I am immensely proud of my achievements in the one-day game but still wish to be considered for selection for England in Test cricket. For the record, were the selection criteria not in place, I would have readily played for England in the upcoming World Twenty20."

That was followed by Morris's equally blunt response: "The ECB is disappointed by the timing of Kevin's decision less than four months before we defend our ICC World Twenty20 title. Kevin is a world-class player and I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his efforts and we look forward to his continued contributions to the Test side.

"As the programming and planning for ODI and T20 format cricket are very closely linked we have a selection policy that means that any player making himself unavailable for either of the one-day formats rules himself out of consideration for both formats. The selectors will now replace Kevin in both the ODI and the T20 squads."

Pietersen has played 127 ODIs and 36 international T20s for England, making his debut in 2004 against Zimbabwe in Harare. He has scored 4,184 runs at an average of 42 in one-day internationals and averages 38 in T20 cricket.

CBSE 10th Class Results 2012 for Class 10 released out !!!!!!!!!!

2012-05-24T00:47:00.002-07:00

The CBSE 10th Class results 2012 for the Class 10 and 12 exams are nearing the time of declaration online. With that in mind, many students are reportedly having sleepless nights, along with fear and anxiety over how they did.

The CBSE results 2012 are expected within the next day for students, and apparently, the pressure parents put on kids to outscore their peers is weighing down. A recent report talks about the stress that students are experiencing in these times, as they await their latest scores.

One Class 10 student, Priyanka Nath, commented:

"For the last two days, I just could not sleep as I can feel the pressure build up. Another girl who appeared the examination from a different board in my colony scored 90%, and my mother said she will be ashamed to face our neighbours if I will score less than her."

According to Times of India, Psychiatrist D Sahoo also weighs in on the topic, saying "The expectations of parents must match the capabilities of children. Parents should stay calm and should not overreact, if their child does not do well." Try telling that to parents in America, right?

It seems that there is stress that goes with grades and test taking no matter what the level of school, or the country, city, state, or town the exam is given in. All parents are different just like all students, and it's probably most important for the students to realize that one score or exam doesn't necessarily define you. With that in mind, the best of luck and success is wished to all of those as they receive their CBSE results for 2012 in Class 10 and 12!

Once declared, students can check the results at various results portals like www.manabadi.co.in, www.schools9.com and also on the official website of Directorate of Government Examinations on http://www.bseap.org

There will be history in making with the declaration of the results this time as students would be awarded with the grades based on the model of CBSE board with an intention to reduce the stress from the students. Passed students would be given grades from the different eight grades. Students who score marks in the range of 92 to 100 in a particular subject will be given A1, similarly for 83 to 91 marks (A2), 75 to 82 (B1), 67 to 74 (B2), 59 to 66 (C1), 51 to 58 (C2), 43 to 50 (D1), 35 to 42 (D2) and for 34 and below marks, an E grade will be awarded.

For A1 grade students, 10 grade points will be awarded, while it will be 9 for A2, 8 for B1, 7 for B2, 6 for C1, 5 for C2, 4 for D1, 3 for D2. There will be no grade points for E-grade. Second Language will be judged with different parameters where as for 1st, 3rd and non-languages above mentioned criteria would be applicable.

With the adoption of this Grade Point Average (GPA) methodology, mark sheets would not carry individual or overall marks of the students as it would be replaced by the grades and the average of grade points would decide the final grade of students.
