Gmail Privacy Attack

You meet an old friend online on Gmail after a long time and you start chatting with that person.. and suddenly he/she says that they got to leave and goes offline...the chat box displays that the person is offline!!!
You are now left in a curiosity to know if that person had really signed out or just invisible!!!!

Heres how you can find out!!

Whenever your friend leaves the chat and goes offline.... put the chat off the record...
This can be done by going under the Actions panel on the right corner of your chat box.

Next after receiving the notice send a message to that person.

After sending a chat message, if it doesn't display anything that means the person is invisible and didn't really sign out!!!

And if the person really signed out of Gmail, then it displays a message "[name] did not receive your chat"...

Note: Do it for fun!!!! Because its not a good thing to snoop around and keep disturbing the person who isn't interested in chatting with you.

Mystery behind 32-bit and 64-bit windows OS

This is one of the top FAQ questions asked by our newbie readers in windows. Windows always come in two versions named 32 bit and 64 bit. Most people don’t know the difference between the 32-bit and 64-bit obviously because 64-bit version had never came in the picture much since hardware in earlier times wasn’t so cheap as it is today. I will simply explain why I am relating 64-bit with hardware. But, first let us see what is the difference between 32-bit and 64-bit.

What is 32-Bit and 64-bit

In a computer, 32-bit and 64-bit are CPU architectures, which is designed to transfer the amount of Data from the System memory. Best example to understand this architecture, Consider two highways where one is 32 lane wide and other is 64 lane wide. Obviously, 64 lane highway would be more efficient in transporting motors compared to 32 lane road. However, it would not be a good idea to use 64 wide lane when the number of motors travelling from that highway is less and could be easily traveled from the same 32 wide lane The same thing goes with our Computer System, 64-bit comes into picture when there are many processes with lots of memory usage which requires wider lane to transfer, which may result in faster operation.

32-bit architecture is designed in such a way that it cannot access System Memory (RAM) more than 4 GB and where as 64-bit architecture can use System Memory (RAM) up to 1 terabyte (1000 GB).

32 bit = 4 GB MEMORY (RAM) Support

64-bit = 1000 GB Memory (RAM) Support

What to Choose, 32-bit or 64-bit?

Without making this complicated, if your System has less than 4 GB of System Memory (RAM), you could go for 32 bit OS, and if you are using a system which has more than 4 GB of System Memory (RAM), it is recommended that you install 64-bit OS so that you can utilize your System memory correctly. If you are installing a 32-bit OS on a System with System Memory (RAM) of 5 GB (or greater than 4 GB) it will do no Good, since Windows will only use 4 GB of the System Memory (RAM). As seen in below screenshot from windows 7, it displays only 3.5 GB utilized from 7 GB of available System Memory (RAM)

Don’t get confused with X86 and X64 in windows because Microsoft refers 32-bit Operating System as X86 and 64-bit Operating System as X64 in Windows.

Processor Support:

Before you decide anything, you need to check your CPU (processor) compatibility for 64-bit architecture. You cannot install a 64-bit OS on 32-bit Processor, You may need to check CPU support for 64-bit architecture. You can check specification of your CPU Online or Check on Windows. In windows 7, Go to Start –> type “Performance Information and Tools” in search and Enter, Now Click on “View and print detailed performance and system information” and check “64-bit capable”, if it Says Yes then your System support 64-bit.

Problem with 64-bit

The only problem people used to face in 64-bit is lack of software support for 64-bit. Many software were just meant to be run only in 32-bit environment. However, things have changed and currently all softwares support 64-bit windows. Nowadays, hardware is so cheap that system comes with pre-installed 64-bit OS, Since New systems are normally packed with more than 4 GB of System Memory (RAM).

How to Protect Yahoo Account from Hackers

2 Step verification or Second Sign-In verification is an addtional layer of security that protects your account even if your password gets hacked.This feature is already available for facebook and Gmail accounts .Yahoo has also launched Second Sign-In verification for accounts of selected countries (U.S, Canadian, Indian, Philippines).It is expected to be rolled out for all users by March 2012.

If you enable Second Sign-in verification you have to enter a verification code (sent on your mobile) or Security answer after entering your password.This addtional step is required only if your login from a new computer or mobile.

Login in to your Yahoo Account
Now open your Account Information.
In the Sign-In and Security section look for the Second Sign-In Verification and click on it.

Check the box to turn on the Second Sign-In Verification feature

Now a pop-up window will open, in this give your mobile number on which you want to receive verification codes and click on Receive SMS.

You will receive Confirmation Code on your mobile, enter this code and click onVerify button.

After completion of verification process whenever you will login from a new computer ( like cybercafe) you will receive a confirmation code on your mobile and without it your account cannot be accessed.

How to set up google group email to send email to multiple members with one click

If you are working in any organization, company or individual, where you have to send emails to more than one recipient and most times all of your recipients are same, for ex. to make some announcement, send some details to your employees every time you enter the email addresses individually and this is very time taken procedure.

So to make your task easy, you can used the Google Groups and with one click you can send one email to all members with very easier and faster.

You can also setup as much Google Groups as you want such as for your employees, for co-workers, for friends, for family and as much you want.

To make this tutorial easier I divided all works in three steps,

Step 1:- Set Up/Create Google Group:-

1. Go to Google Groups(direct create a group link) and then type the name of your group and write a short description about your groups.

2. Now you have to set up basic setting for your groups, such as who can view the group’s content, who can post messages and who can join the group. You can set up these basic setting according to your need.

3. You can also set up some additional settings from the bottom of page, Once you have completed all these settings, Click on create group and verify the CAPTCHA.

Step 2:- How to Add Emails to Google groups:-

1. To add people on your groups, click on settings icon from top right side and then click on Manage Members.

2. Now click on Invite buttons and now you have two options either you send invite email or directly add to the groups using their emails.

3. From Role tab, You can managed the role of your members or also create a new role.

Step 3:- How to Send One Email to All Groups Members:-

1. Go to the Home page of your Groups and then click on the New Topic.

2. Now type your message and subject and also choose type of post and then click on Post.
