Anyway you look at Zack Snyder's film offer something new. At times is very Freudian, the flick presents a world of dreams even worse than the reality itself, just to say, that sometimes dreams are worse than the reality. The all-female film with Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish and Jena Malone, offers many ideas for interpretation, but one thing is sure, at the end of the movie the question remains, what the hall I just watched?

Zack Snyder has already shown with 300 that he will spend to the last cent in graphic effects and visual art, unfortunately this time he used too much for too little. The result is a film that I didn’t love but I appreciate (especially for the seminude actresses, the only positive note). A film that uses special effects and sound every second of film, but without any meaning. So the story is flat, the end is flat, moral of the story ... 0. Too little for a film from which I expected much more.

For the men will be a pleasure, it seems more like' a game of the lingerie League instead of a movie.

Comunque lo si guardi il film di Zack Snyder offre qualcosa di nuovo. A tratti molto freudiano, il film ci presenta un mondo dei sogni ancora peggiore della realta' stessa. Tanto per dire, che a volte i sogni sono peggio della realta'. Il film tutto al femminile con Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish e Jena Malone, offre vari spunti di interpretazione, ma una cosa e' sicura, la pellicola lascia l'amaro in bocca.

Zack Snyder ha dimostrato gia con 300 e di spendere un sacco di dollari in effetti grafici, purtroppo per lui questa volta ha usato troppo per offrire troppo poco. Il risultato e cosi un film che non ho amato ma aprezzato (sopratutto per le attrici semi nude, unica nota positiva). Un film che usa effetti sonori e violenza a 360° ma senza alcun significato. Cosi che la storia risulta piatta, il finale risulta piatto, morale della favola 0... troppo poco per un film da cui si aspettava molto.

Per il sesso maschile sara' una goduria, infatti sembra piu' una partita della lingerie legue che un film.

RANGO REVIEW – The rediscover of western flicks

Now that they took the Verbinski director chair for Pirates of the Caribbean, what does he do? He takes Johnny Depp and direct a western-cartoon .

In contrast to classic western set in 1800, Rango is taking place in a todays imaginary community of animals. The movie is very actual, in fact it talks about H2O and a tyrannical mayor who wants to enslave the whole town.

The thing that left me fascinated was the violence and the strong language used in the Nickelodeon cartoon, there are blood, gunfire and some very strong language. A new to a cartoon produced by the well known cartoon production.

The cartoon, like all the cartoons of the last period, is very well filmed. Provides fun for kids and for those a bit older. Perhaps the only smear is found in the plot of the film, which in my opinion is a bit flat.

Adesso che a Verbinski hanno tolto la poltrona di regista di Pirates of the Caribbean, lui cosa fa? Si prende Johnny Depp e gira un cartone animato western.

A differenza dei classici western ambientati nel 1800, Rango si svolge oggi in una immaginaria comunita' di animali. La trama del film e' anche molto attuale, infatti si parla di H2O e di un tirannico sindaco che vuole schiavizzare l'intera cittadina.

La cosa che piu' mi ha affascinato di Rango e' la violenza ed il linguaggio usato nel cartone prodotto dalla Nickelodeon, ci sono sangue, sparatorie e del linguaggio abbastanza forte. Cosa del tutto nuova per un cartone animato prodotto dalla nota casa di produzione.

Il cartone animato, come del resto tutti i cartone animati dell'ultimo periodo, e' fatto bene. Assicura divertimento per grandi e per quelli un po piu' piccoli. Forse un unica sbavatura la troviamo nella trama del film, che a mio parere e' un po piatta.

Well is always a good thing to have the Marines around, otherwise we would be F@#ked up.

Battle: Los Angeles looks more like a war documentary in Kabul or Baghdad, than a flick about aliens. Even better, is more like an advertising to enlist in the army. Propaganda for the Marine Corps.

However, Liebesman movie (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre) has something that is real, most likely if the aliens arrived and were hostile, there would be a scenario similar to that presented in the film. But in the end a civilization that's technologically superior to ours, is defeated by a Marine Corp?!? Leaves me some doubts.

The film has a nice CGI, is filmed very well (although I hate the non-use of Stedy-cam), the actors are the right ones and the result is, about two hours of pure action.

Certainly the film is less impressive then Skyline for special effects and photography, but it's much better in terms of quality of filming, script, actors, director ... But there is a small difference between the two flicks: 90million dollar.

So if you like action movies, Battle: LA is a must see.

Meno male che ci sono i Marines perche' se no, eravamo belli che fritti.

Battle: Los Angeles sembra piu' un documentario della guerra a Kabul o Bagdad che un film sugli alieni, anzi meglio, sembra un film pubblicita' per arruolarsi nel esercito. Propaganda per il corpo dei Marines.

Tuttavia il film di Libesman (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre) ha un non so che di reale, molto probabilmente se gli alieni arrivassero e fossero ostili, vi sarebbe uno scenario simile a quello presentato nella pellicola. Pero' che alla fine una civilta' aliena tecnologicamente superiore alla nostra, venga sconfitta da un corpo dei Marines mi lascia qualche dubbio.

Il film ha un ottima rifinitura CGI, e' filmato bene (anche se mi da sempre piu' fastitio il non utilizzo della stedy-cam), gli attori sono quelli giusti ed il risultato e circa due ore di azione allo stato puro.

Sicuramente il film per quanto riguarda gli effetti speciali e fotografia e' inferiore a Skyline, ma e' nettamente superiore nella qualita' di realizzazione, sceneggiatura, attori, regia... bisogna pero' notare che ci sono 90 milioni di dollari di differenza tra i due film.

Quindi se vi piacciono i film d'azione, Battle: LA e' un must see.

I honestly knew very little about this film, I saw the first trailer and then nothing. After The Gladiator (Russell Crowe) I think there has been a rediscovery (if it ever had been lost) of Ancient Rome, and were created several movies and TV series on the subject, not least the series on Spartacus.
Admittedly, the first 15 minutes of the movie are done really well and is very very close to reality. The problem of the flick is that after this brief introduction, the film loses a bit on the ability to involve the viewer in the story.

The action sequences are taken along the lines of the last action movies, net shot cuts , shooting a bit blurry mode, and there is no use of the steadicam, so it's not really clear what is happening during the fight. The good thing on the other hand is the fact that the special effects are kept to a minimum (which is already in itself a remarkable fact) instead the stunts are used, which makes it much more realistic.

Another thing that bothered me a lot during the movie is that director Kevin Macdonald (The Last King of Scotland) seems to concentrate more on the secondary role of Jamie Bell rather than the star Channing Tatum who plays Marcus Aurelius Aquila. Kevin Macdonald is trying to make a balance in the characters, but there was no need for this. Then not to mention the use of flashbacks, useless ... no sense. And as if to say: ˝Oh shit, I just don’t know how to make this scene a bit longer.˝

All in all the movie is worth the price of the ticket, but do not expect The Gladiator.
The film is about honor, country, family. Surely there's a good thing that there are NO love stories - and just for this deserves a 10.

Sinceramente di questo film sapevo ben poco, ho visto il primo trailer e' poi niente piu'. Dopo The Gladiator (Russell Crowe) credo ci sia stata una riscoperta (se mai si fosse persa) della Roma Antica, sono stati creati vari film e serie TV sul tema, non ultima la serie su Spartacus.

Bisogna ammettere che i primi 15 minuti di film sono fatti veramente bene, ma sopratutto si avvicinano molto alla realta'. Il problema della pellicola consiste nel fatto che dopo questa breve introduzione, il film perde un po sulla capacita' di coinvolgere lo spettatore nella trama.

Le scene d'azione sono riprese sulla falsa riga degli ultimi film d'azione, tagli di ripresa netti, riprese un po sfocate, non vi e' utilizzo della steadycam, quindi non si capisce bene cosa stia succedendo. La cosa positiva dall'altro canto e' che gli effetti speciali sono tenuti al minimo (il che gia di per se e' un fatto degno di nota) vengono invece usati stuntman, il che rende il tutto molto piu' realistico.

Un'altra cosa che mi ha disturbato parecchio durante il film consiste nel fatto che il regista Kevin Macdonald (The Last King of Scotland) sembra concentrarsi piu' sul ruolo secondario di Jamie Bell che non invece sul protagonista Channing Tatum che interpreta Marcus Aurelio Aquila. Disturba inquanto si cerca di dare un equilibrio nei personaggi, ma non ce ne era bisogno. Poi per non parlare dell'uso dei flashback, inutili... non hanno alcun senso. E come dire: ˝Cavolo in questa scena non so cosa inserire.˝ ˝Hmmm... Un po di flashback, giusto per allungare un po il film, cosi non sembrera un mediometraggio.˝

Tirando un po le somme, il film vale il prezzo del biglietto, ma non aspettatevi The Gladiator.

Il film parla di onore, patria, famiglia. Sicuramente ce di positivo il fatto che non ci sono storie d'amore – e solo per questo il film meriterebbe un 10.

Iskreno povedano sem vedel bolj malo o tem filmu, videl sem prvi trailer, potem pa nič več. Po Gladiatorju (Russell Crowe) mislim da je Hollywood ponovno odkril (če so sploh kdaj izgubili) strast do starega Rima, in so nastali številni filmi in TV serije na tem področju, nenazadnje serija Spartacus.
Dejansko je prvih 15 minut filma narejenih zelo dobro in so zelo zelo blizu realnosti. Problem filma pa je, da po tem kratkem uvodu, film izgubi nekaj na sposobnosti vključevvanja gledalca v samo zgodbo.

Akcijskih prizorov, ki so po vzoru zadnjega trenda pri snemanju celovečercev, hitri rezi pri snemanju prizorov, snemanje na nekoliko nejasen način, in ne uporaba steadicama, naredijo celotno dogajanje ne jasno. Dobra stvar na drugi strani pa je dejstvo, minimalne uporabe posebnih učinkov (ki je že samo po sebi izjemeno dejstvo), ampak se uporabljajo stuntmani, zaradi česar so dvoboji veliko bolj realistični.

Druga stvar ki me moti v filmu je da režiser Kevin Macdonald (The Last King of Scotland), se osredotoči bolj na sekundarno vlogo Jamie Bella kot pa na glavnega igralca Channing Tatuma, ki igra Marka Avrelija Aquila. Kevin Macdonald se trudi, da bi uvedel nekakšno ravnovesje med igralcama, vendar ni bilo potrebe za to. Potem da ne omenjam uporabe flashbackov, nekoristni ... in nimajo nobenega smisla. In kot bi hotel reči: ˝ Oh sranje, ne vem kako bi to sceno podaljšal ker je prekratka˝.
˝ Hmmm ... Nekaj flashbackov pa bo. ˝

Glede na vse navedeno je film vreden cene vstopnice, vendar ne pričakujte, Gladiatorja.
Film govori o časti, domoljubju, družini. Zagotovo pa je dobra stvar, da ni nobenih ljubezenskih zgodb - in samo za to zasluži 10.

Another Hollywood remake, this time an action movie of 1972 with Charles Bronson, The Mechanic. The remake this time is starring Jason Statham and Ben Foster and is directed by Simon West (Con Air, Tomb Raider). The film is the story of the perfect hit man, silent, without conscience, without morality and his drifted apprentice.
The flick is a old-fashioned action movie, no romance or moral teaching, just go and' kill for the entire duration of the movie. Admittedly, the mere fact that the action can keep the pace up for two hours, without intrinsic stories is worth the money of the ticket. However you want to put this movie it does not present anything new, because it recalls the previous Statham series The Transporter, and it’s for this reason that throughout the film you have the feeling of having it already seen. The story itself has many gaps, and there are parts of the story that are left to chance, as if they want to make the viewer choose why this or that happened.

The Mechanic is still a movie to watch, just for the simple fact that is an action pumped with steroid. But do not expect more.

Altro remake per Hollywood, questa volta un film d’azione del 1972 con Charles Bronson, The Mechanic. Il riadattamento e’ interpretato da Jason Statham e Ben Foster, per la regia di Simon West (Con Air, Tomb Raider). Il film tratta la storia del perfetto assasino, silenzioso, senza coscienza, senza morale e del suo apprendista un po sbandato.

Il film e’ un classico action movie alla vecchia maniera, niente storie d’amore o maralismi, un semplice vai e’ uccidi e per tutta la durata del film. Bisogna ammetterlo, il solo fatto che riesca a tenere il ritmo dell’azione alto per ben due ore, senza storie intrinseche, vale i soldi del biglietto. Pero’ comunque la si voglia mettere il film non presenta nulla di nuovo, perche’ ricorda moltissimo la serie The Transporter, ed e’ per questo motivo che per tutto il film si ha la sensazione di averlo gia visto. Anche la storia di per se ha molte lacune, infatti ci sono parti della storia che vengono un po lasciate al caso, come se si volesse far scegliere allo spettatore perche’ e’ successo questo o quello.

The Mechanic rimane comunque un film da vedere, se non altro per il semplice fatto che pompato di steroidi per l’azione. Ma non aspettatevi altro.

Še en remake Hollywooda, tokrat akcijski film iz leta 1972 s Charles Bronsonom, The Mechanic. Remake ima tokrat v glavnih vlogah Jasona Stathama in Ben Fosterja film pa je režiral Simon West (Con Air, Tomb Raider). Film je zgodba o popolnemu morilcu, tihi, brez vesti, brez morale in njegovega malo raztresenega vajeneca.
Celovečerec je tipičen staromodni akcijski film, nima nobene romantične zgodbe ali morale, samo pojdi in ubiji za celotno trajanje filma. Zgolj dejstvo, da lahko drži tak tempo dve uri, brez drugih zgodb je vreden denarja vstopnice. Vendar pa kakor jo obrenmo The Mechanic ne predstavlja nič novega, saj spominja na prejšnje vloge Jasona Stathama kot naprimer Transporter, in zaradi tega se skozi celoten film ima občutek kot da si film že videl oziroma da je nekakšno nadaljevanje. Zgodba sama ima nekaj pomanjklivosti, ki so prepuščeno naključju, kot da so želeli da bi gledalec se odločil zakaj se je kaj zgodilo.

The Mechanic je še vedno film vreden ogleda, že zaradi preprostega dejstva da je to akcijski film napumpan z steroidi. Toda ne pričakujte več.

How many re-makes have been made by Hollywood lately? Many, and most of them are of poor quality.

I'm Legend (Will Smith) re-make of the movie The Last Man on Earth passed only 4 years, and here we are offered the same story. I’ll not explain 'the plot of the flick for the simple reason that it makes no sense because, first there’s nothing new - if you've seen I'm Legend you already know what is about - as second the movie plot is as bad as it can possibly be, is flat. The actors do not communicate any emotion HaydenChristensen , Thandie Newton and John Leguizamo try their best through the whole movie, pity they fail. A major criticism, however, goes to the cine-photography, for most of the film is tremendous, so dark you cannot truly understand what is happening. There is no Action, they try to create a puzzle but many pieces are missing, and there are just a few thriller moments. It’s a bit what’s happened to The Happening with Mark Wahlberg, the film betrays widely the expectations.

Hmmm... someone has copied the homework....

Ma quanti re-make fa Hollywood ultimamente? Tanti, e la maggior parte sono di pessima qualita' in tutti i sensi.

Da I'm Legend (Will Smith) film re-make della pellicola The Last Man on Earth, sono passati solo 4 anni, ed ecco che ci viene proposta la stessa storia. Non spiegero' la trama del film per il semplice motivo che non ha senso, perche' come primo non e' nulla di nuovo – se avete visto I'm Legend avete visto tutto – come secondo il film ha una storia che non appassiona, e piatta. Anche gli attori non trasmettono nessuna emozione Hayden Christensen, Thandie Newton e John Leguizamo ci provano per tutto il film, peccato che falliscano. Una delle maggiori critiche che comunque rivolgo al film e' la fotografia, per la maggior parte del film e tremenda, talmente scura che sinceramente non si riesce a capire quello che succede. Di azione non c'e' niente, si cerca di crere un puzzle ma mancano tanti pezzi, e momenti thriller sono veramente pochi. E' un po quello che e' successo a The Happening con Mark Wahlberg, il film tradisce ampiamente le aspettative.

Koliko re-makeov je naredil Hollywood v zadnjem času? Mnogo, in večina od njih je slabe kakovosti.

I’m Legend (Will Smith) je re-make filma The Last Man on Earth in ot tega so minila le 4 leta, in tu nam pnujajo zopet isto zgodbo. Ne bom vam razložil zgodbe filma iz preprostega razloga ker nima smisla, ker prvič ni nič novega - če ste videli I’m Legend že veste o čem film govori - kot drugo filmska zgodba je tako slabo slabo zasnovana čeprav konceptna ideja je dobra. Igralciv filmu nam ne posredujejo nobenih čustev Hayden Christensen, Thandie Newton in John Leguizamo poskušajo to storiti čez celoten film in to po svojih najboljših močeh, škoda da jim ne uspe. Glavna kritika, vendar pa gre za samo fotografijo, večino filma je tako temna da se ne razume kaj se dogaja. Ni akcije, poskušajo ustvariti nekakšen puzzle, vendar mnogo delov manjka, in je le nekaj trenutkov ki so vredni naziva triler. Nekako je se je zgodilo to kar se je zgodilo z filmom The Happening z Mark Wahlbergom, film izneveri vsa pričakovanja.

After only two days that is on You Tube the movie was seen by more than 200 thousand people, what does it mean? Is the desire for a global change, or there is something more?

For those unfamiliar with the Zeitgeist series (movement), the project started in 2007 by Peter Joseph with Zeitgeist: The Movie and the story’s essentially based on conspiracy theories through the myth of Jesus ‘Christ, 9/11, to arrive at the banks, multinationals and media. The second chapter is Zeitgeist: Addendum that along the lines of the first chapter continues his reflection on the various theories mentioned above, but something changes, the last part of the film is dedicated to The Venus Project (more info later in the article). In the period after the second chapter Peter Joseph founded the Zeitgeist movement (with strong ties to the Venus Project) and we arrive to today with the release of Zeitgeist: Moving Forward.

As first I have to admit that I have always been fascinated by the documentary-films that deal with this kind of subject or conspiracies. Often these theories are ridiculous, they don’t have solid foundation and lies are passed as truth (and to be honest, most of the time are more similar to Space balls), but there are rare cases in which the research work is well done and the result is 'more' convincing. This 'happened with the first installment of Peter Joseph, where various theories were ˝widely demonstrated˝ (always depends on your point of view - I did not believe to the theories presented for the simple fact that there were some major errors - but still there was at least a research work). What changes with the second chapter is the union of the Zeitgeist movement with the Venus Project founded by Jacque Fresco. But who is Jacque Fresco? Well, if you ask me a charlatan of biblical proportions, one that has not finished any school (he define his self as a self-made man - that is highlighted at the beginning of the third chapter), Jacque Fresco is a man that for thirty years lived by selling his ideas (and he does it well). The project, which he sells, is about a world based solely on technology (no money, no politics, nothing that is today common in the modern societies). The fact is, that although the basic idea is not as bad as it seems, Peter Joseph make the mistake that focuses only on this, and the result is that the movie is just a big advertisement for the Venus Project.

Dopo soli due giori che e' su YouTube lo hanno visto in piu' di 200mila, cosa vorra' dire questo dato? Che ce la volonta e il desiderio di un cambiamento globale, oppure c'e'qualcosa di altro?

Per chi non conoscesse la serie (movimento) Zeitgeist, il progetto nasce nel 2007 da Peter Joseph con Zeitgeist: The Movie e si basa essenzialmente su teorie cospirative passando dal mito di Gesu' Cristo all' 11 settembre, per arrivare alle banche, multinazionali e media. Il secondo capitolo e Zeitgeist: Addendum che sulla falsa riga del primo capitolo continua la propria riflessione sulle varie teorie sopra citate, pero' cambia qualcosa, l'ultima parte del film e' dedicata a The Venus Project (di cui parlero piu' in avanti). Nel periodo che passa dal secondo capitolo ad oggi Peter Joseph fonda il movimento Zeitgeist (con forti legami al Venus Project) e arriviamo cosi ad oggi con l'uscita di Zeitgeist: Moving Forward.

Come primo devo ammettere che mi hanno sempre affascinato i film-documentari che trattano questo genere, ovvero le cospirazioni. Spesso e volentieri tali teorie sono ridicole, non hanno basi solide, sono bugie che vengono spacciate per verita' (e per dirla tutta, la maggior parte delle volte sono balle spaziali), ma ci sono rari casi in cui il lavoro di ricerca e' fatto bene ed il risultato e' piu' che convincente. Questo e' capitato con il primo capitolo della serie di Peter Joseph, dove varie teorie venivano ˝ampiamente dimostrate˝ (dipende sempre dai punti di vista – io non ci ho creduto per il semplice fatto che ci sono degli errori grossolani – ma comunque e' presente un lavoro di ricerca). La cosa cambia con il secondo capitolo e l'unione del movimento Zeitgeist con il moviento Venus fondato da Jacque Fresco. Ma chi e' Jacque Fresco? Beh, se lo chiedete a me un pallonaro di proporzioni bibliche, uno che non ha finito nessuna scuola (si definisce un autodidatta – fatto che viene evidenziato all'inizio del terzo capitolo), uno che da trentanni vive del solo fatto, che vende le proprie idee (e lo fa anche bene). Il progetto che lui vende e' il seguente, un mondo basato esclusivamente sulla tecnologia (niente soldi, niente politica, niente di tutto quello che caratterizza la societa' moderna). Il fatto sta, che anche se come idea di base non e' male, Peter Joseph fa l'errore che si concentra solo su questo, il risultato e' che il film e' una grossa pubblicita' per il progetto Venus.

Sono semplicemente deluso.

Po samo dveh dneh, ki je na YouTube si je film ogledalo več kot 200 tisoč ljudi, kaj to pomeni? Je to mogoče želja po svetovnih spremembah, ali je kaj več?

Za tiste, ki ne poznajo Zeitgeist serijo (gibanje), projekt se je začel v letu 2007, z Zeitgeist: The Movie katera zgodba temeli predvsem na teorijah zarote, mitu Jezusa Kristusa, 11 september, do bank, multinacionalk in medijev. Drugo poglavje je Zeitgeist: Addendum, ki po vzoru prvega poglavja nadaljuje svoje razmišljanje o različnih teorijah zarote, ampak tukaj se začnejo tudi nekatere spremembe, zadnji del filma je namenjen Projektu Venus (več informacij kasneje v članku). V obdobju takoj po drugem poglavju serije, je Peter Joseph ustanovil gibanje Zeitgeist (ki je tesno povezano z The Venus Project) in pridemo do danes ko je izšel Zeitgeist: Moving Forward.

Kot prvo moram priznati, da sem bil vedno ljubitelj dokumentarnih filmov, ki se ukvarjajo s teorijami zarote. Pogosto te teorije so smešne, nimajo trdnih temeljev in laži p

Redstvijo kot resnico (in če sem iskren, večina teh filmov je zgloj dobra domišlija scenarista), vendar so primeri čeprav redki, v katerih je raziskovalno delo dobro opravljeno in rezultat je več kot prepričljiv. To se je zgodilo s prvim delom Petera Josepha, kjer so različne teorije prikazane ˝dokaj prepričljivo˝ (to je odvisna od vašega stališča – jaz jim ne verjamem zaradi preprostega dejstvo, ker je bilo nekaj večjih napak - vendar je bilo vsaj opravljeno nekakšno raziskovalno delo). Poglavitna sprememba pri drugem poglavju je zveza med gibanjem Zeitgeist ter The Venus Project katerega je ustanovitelj Jacque Fresco. Kdo pa je Jacque Fresco? No, če vprašate mene šarlatan bibličnih razsežnosti, ki ni končal nobene šole (saj se autodefinira kot samouk, dejstvo ki je izpostavljeno na začetku tretjega poglavja), Jacque Fresco je človek, ki že trideset let živi s prodajo svojih idej (in to počne očitno zelo dobro). Projekt, ki ga prodaja je o svetu, ki temelji izključno na tehnologiji (brez denarja, tu ni politike, nič od tega kar je danes običajno za sodobnie družbe). Dejstvo je, da čeprav osnovna ideja ni tako slabo kot se lahko zdi na prvi pogled, je Peter Joseph storil eno ključno napako, film se osredotoča zgolj na Frescove teorije, in rezultat je, da je film samo velika reklama za The Venus Project.

Razočaran.

The main plot is so poor, the film aspires to be a fantasy-adventure-action movie, but it is not, and I really do not know what this film is. Cannot be a historical epic because it’s too ˝small˝, it cannot be a fantasy because there is no fantasy in this film. So I wonder, but mostly cause I think Nicolas Cage is after all a good actor, why did you accept to act in this flick, need money?

Ne more biti zgodovinski ep, ker je preveč ˝majhen˝, da ne more biti fantasy ker ni ničesar magičnega v tem filmu. Zato se sprašujem, predvsem pa za to ker Nicolas Cage je navsezadnje dober igralec, zakaj je sprejel vlogo v tejm filmu, potrebuje tako krvavo denar?

Funnyman Seth Rogen was left stunned by a recent encounter with his moviemaking hero George Lucas - because the Star Wars director spent 20 minutes telling him the world would end in 2012. Rogen was left speechless when Lucas and Steven Spielberg joined a movie meeting he was a part of - but the encounter has left him worried his life will be over next year.

He recalls, “George Lucas sits down and seriously proceeds to talk for around 25 minutes about how he thinks the world is gonna end in the year 2012, like, for real. He thinks it.

“He’s going on about the tectonic plates and all the time Spielberg is, like, rolling his eyes, like, ’My nerdy friend won’t shut up, I’m sorry...’'

“I first thought he (Lucas) was joking... and then I totally realized he was serious and then I started thinking, ’If you’re George Lucas and you actually think the world is gonna end in a year, there’s no way you haven’t built a spaceship for yourself... So I asked him... ’Can I have a seat on it?’

“He claimed he didn’t have a spaceship, but there’s no doubt there’s a Millennium Falcon in a garage somewhere with a pilot just waiting to go... It’s gonna be him and Steven Spielberg and I’ll be blown up like the rest of us.”

L’incontro è divertente, i tre ridono e scherzano come vecchi amici, almeno fino a quando Lucas non cambia argomento e comincia a parlare della fine del mondo. Che per lui arriverà nel 2012. Una tirata di quasi 25 minuti, fra placche tettoniche che si stanno muovendo e roba simile. Primo pensiero di Rogen (che, però, tiene per sé): «Ok, George. Mi stai prendendo in giro». Ma uno sguardo a Spielberg gli fa presto cambiare idea: il papà di Indiana Jones, infatti, gli sorride un po’ imbarazzato e, mentre l’amico continua il suo sproloquio, fa roteare gli occhi quasi a dirgli: «George è fissato su questo argomento e non la finirà tanto presto, mi dispiace….». Dunque, il creatore di Star Wars ci crede davvero all’imminente apocalisse e cerca di convincere anche il protagonista di «Green Hornet» che il mondo «è prossimo alla fine».

«All’inizio ero convinto che stesse scherzano, ma poi ho capito che era serissimo. Allora ho pensato che se George è realmente convinto di questa cosa, ovvero che il mondo finirà fra un anno, deve avere pronta da qualche parte un’astronave per la fuga, così gli ho chiesto se mi lasciava un posto. Ma lui mi ha assicurato di non aver costruito alcuna astronave… Però non ho dubbi sul fatto che ci sia una Millennium Falcon (è una delle astronavi di Guerre Stellari) in un garage da qualche parte, con un pilota a bordo, pronta per decollare. Ci saranno sopra Lucas e Spielberg e io salterò in aria come tutti gli altri».

Igralec Seth Rogen je ostal presenečen nad nedavnim srečanjem s svojim junakom George Lucas - zato, ker je režiser Star Warsa celih 20 minut pripocvedoval o tem kako bo leta 2012 konec sveta. Rogen je ostal brez besed, ko sta se mu Lucas in Steven Spielberg pridružila na predstavitvi filma - ampak srečanje je zapustil z polno skrbi nad svojim njegovo življenjem saj naj bi se po besedah Lucasa v naslednjem letu končalo.

Sarà Anne Hathaway ad interpretare il ruolo Catwoman, nel prossimo The Dark Knight Rises, terzo capitolo che Christopher Nolan dedicherà a Batman. Ad annunciarlo è stata la Warner Bros. La Hathaway raggiunge così il protagonista Christian Bale e Tom Hardy che, contrariamente a quanto si pensava, avrà il ruolo del killer Bane.

Nolan ha commentato l’idea di lavorare con le due new entry di The Dark Knight Rises: “Sono emozionato all’idea di lavorare con Anne Hathaway, sarà un’aggiunta straordinaria al cast e alla storia nel modo in cui l’abbiamo ideata. E sono felice di lavorare di nuovo con Tom, e non vedo l’ora di vederlo mentre darà vita alla nostra visione di uno dei nemici più potenti di Batman.”

They could certainly do more because The Green Hornet has left me with a bitter taste. For one simple reason, the film at times is confused, like when you try to give as much information in a short time and in the end no one understands anything. The series of the 60s, with Bruce Lee was one year long and had 26 episodes. The flick is trying to summarize 26 episodes in 2 hours, and that's why the result was such a mess. The action-crime movies should have a simple story with lots of shootouts, car chases, beating and not a low level moralizing story. 'Cause this is in The Green Hornet, the film wants us to understand that we have to do something with our life, that's not all parties and women, but there are also more important things in life. Maybe if the script was written more seriously

because, the result is a comedy with lots of explosions. All in all, the film is not bad as it seems, and is worth an evening at the cinema.

Trama

Britt Reid (Seth Rogen) è il figlio del magnate più importanti e rispettato di Los Angeles ed e' perfettamente felice di mantenere una vita senza ambizione alcuna se non quella della bella vita - fino a quando suo padre (Tom Wilkinson) muore misteriosamente, lasciando a Britt il suo vasto impero mediatico. Stinge una strana amicizia con uno dei dipendenti del padre, Kato (Jay Chou), vedendo la loro possibilità di fare qualcosa di significativo per la prima volta nella loro vita: combattere il crimine. Ma per fare questo, decidono di diventare loro stessi criminali – giustizia si ma trasgredendo la legge, Britt diventa il vigilante The Green Hornet e con Kato ˝ripuliscono˝ le strade.

Usando tutta la sua ingegnosità e abilità, Kato costruisce il massimo in termini di armamenti retrò avanzati, The Black Beauty, un indistruttibile auto con una potenza di fuoco mai vista e tanti cavalli sotto il cofano. Si poteva fare sicuramente di piu', perche' The Green Hornet mi ha lasciato un po con l'amaro in bocca. Per un semplice motivo, il film a tratti e' confuso, come quando si cerca di dare tante informazioni in poco tempo, alla fine no si capisce piu' niente. La serie degli anni '60, con Bruce Lee, e' durata un anno ed ha avuto 26 episodi. Il film credo abbia cercato di riassumere 26 episodi in 2 ore, ed ecco perche' e' risultato complicato. Gli action-crime movies dovrebbero avere una storia semplice, con tante sparatorie, inseguimenti tra macchine, pestaggi e non moralismi di basso livello. Perche' di questo si tratta in The Green Hornet, il film ci vuol far capire che bisogna far qualcosa della propria vita, che non ci sono solo feste e donne, ma anche cose piu' serie. Forse se la sceneggiatura fosse scritta piu' seriamente, perche' il risultato e' una commedia con tante esplosioni. Tutto sommato la pellicola non e' male e per passare la serata va bene.

Presenetljivo nastane malo verjetno prijateljstvo z enim od očetovih zaposlenih, Kato (Jay Chou), skupaj najdeta priložnost da naredita prvič nekaj pomembnega v svojem življenju: boj proti kriminalu. Toda da bi to naredili, se odločijo, da postanejo kriminalci sami - varovanje zakona tako da kršijo, Britt postane Green Hornet, in skupaj z Katom postaneta kaj hitro pravi hit ulic.

Kato uporabi vso svojo iznajdlivosti in spretnost ter zgradi vrhunsko retro-napredno orožje, Black Beauty, neuničljiv avtomobil z veliko ognjeno močjo ter veliko konjskih moči. Z svojo mobilno trdnjavo pričneta lov nad lopovi, in z pripomočki ki jih naredi Kato, The Green Hornet in Kato hitro zaslovita seveda je tukaj tudi pomoč Britt nove sekretarke je, Lenore Case (Cameron Diaz). Tako se začne lov na človeka ki nadzoruje podzemlje LA: Benjamin Chudnofsky (Christoph Waltz). Toda Chudnofsky ima svoje načrte: končati z Green Hornetom enkrat za vselej.

Review
Lahko bi zagotovo naredili kaj več, saj me je Green Hornet zapustil z grenkim priokusom. Z enega preprostega razloga, film je na trenutke zmeden, kakor ko se poskuša dati čim več informacij v čim krašem času, tako na koncu nihče ne razume ničesar. Serija iz 60-ih let, z Bruce Leejem je bila dolga eno leto in je imela 26 epizod, filma poskuša povzeti 26 epizod v 2 urah, in zato je bil rezultat tak nered. Action-crime filmi bi morali imeti preprosto zgodbo z veliko streljanja, avtomobilski pregoni, pretepanja, ne pa neko preprosto moraliziranje. Green Hornet nam poskuša povedati da moramo nekaj narediti s svojim življenjem, da ni vse v ženskah ter zabavah, ampak da obstajajo tudi bolj pomembne stvari v življenju. Mogoče če bi scenarij bil napisan bolj resno bi bilo bolje ker je rezultat komedija z veliko eksplozij. Konec koncev pa film ni slab kakor bi lahko zgledalo, in je vreden večera v kinu.

The 2011 Golden Globes were handed out Saturday night at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills. The Social Network, Glee, Boardwalk Empire, and The Kids Are All Right were among the night’s big winners. I could not be more 'angry about the outcome of the evening, how is possible that The Social Network won? I can understand that FB is the engine of our society and that people cannot live without FB live, but a mediocre film like TSN win, it makes me mad. So I would not be angered if the four other films that competed were poor, but we are talking about Black Swan, TheFighter , Inception and The King's Speech. Unbelievable.

I Golden Globe si sono tenuti sabato sera ( ora di LA – era domenica in Europa) al Beverly Hilton Hotel di Beverly Hills. The Social Network, Glee, Boardwalk Empire e The Kids Are All Right sono tra i maggiori vincitori della serata.

Non potrei essere piu' arrabbiato per l'esito della serata, come ha potuto vincere The Social Network? Posso capire che FB sia il motore della nostra societa' ormai e che la gente senza FB non riesca piu' a vivere, ma che un film mediocre come TSN vinca, mi fa proprio inca**are. Non sarei cosi arabbiato se gli altri quattro film che competevano fossero mediocri ma stiamo parlando di Black Swan, The Fighter, Inception e The King's Speech. Incredibile.

Jaz ne bi mogla biti bolj jezen glede na izid večera, kako je mogoče, da je Social Network zmagal? Razumem, da FB je motor naše družbe in da ljudje ne morejo živeti brez FB. Nebi bil tako jezen če štiri drugi filmi ki so tekmovali bili slabi, ampak govorimo o Black Swan, The Fighter, Inception in King's Speech. Neverjetno.
