There are many websites and blogs that have made to the top rank due to their appropriate keywords in image file names. In fact, one of my websites gets hundreds of visits a month from people who are searching for images. I'm not sure how valuable those visitors are, but most importantly I didn't have to do anything very special to get them, except putting my blog name under each of the image that I upload to my website.

Google Images- makes it easy for people to search for their required images online. To make your image appear among the top results you must assign it a unique and rich with keywords name. This is done by naming the image file that you are going to upload, with rich keywords. For example if you have a blog about "pets" and you upload 3-4 images per post, you must name cat image as "best kitten ever" or may be "cutest cat".

Now the question raises ............. why?

Here's a tip I just discovered... When I searched in Google Images for my "cat blog" there come the images which were decent but I don't find much of those uninteresting and simple. I was rather wondering for the natural but unique images of cats doing different kind of funny things, and there came the moment of "Aa, Ha!". I decided to upload images of my cats doing funny stuff and upload those images titling "cutest cats" and "funny cats" etc.

But there is one thing that you must remember is the number of search results of your keywords. When I started back in 2004 building websites and blogs it was easy to target the audience but now its a bit difficult job to do since there are 1.27 Million results of "cutest cat" images. So you got to hit the market by getting traffic from other sources and techniques and consider your images as an additional traffic source.

To many of you this may not be a good idea but some of you may already be taking a huge advantage of selecting a misleading domain name. Whether you may or may not be a part of any conference or workshop about "blogging tips" you should have a mind set that you won't be getting any views if your domain name is misleading but it seems a bitter truth that for a decent start you can also give a shot to a domain name that resembles any other big website or blog.

Although I count this in "ways to get traffic" but I doubt it at the same time. The only doubt that I have is you don't have visitors that will come to your blog regularly. Beside that, it is a great way to cash in the big names.

It is the matter of time and effort for you to take your blog to the next level. Since you have a domain name that automatically brings you boat load of traffic every day, you just have to provide the basic facilities of the blog or website that you are making a duplicate of.

Lets say you have a blog that has a domain name "Googlr.com" it just seems to be a typo error but imagine 2 billion people coming to Google and even if there is a probability of 0.0001% that would type "googlr" instead of Google, there would be more than thousands of clicks each day to you blog or website. But remember one thing that you should always be providing same services that are provided by the original domain user in our case its Google.

In the last post I have mentioned the way to get traffic from PPC method, but in this post I will explain you how you can earn money by writing articles and linking those to your website. As mentioned earlier that Google and other search engines crawl your websites as they see the content of that website, it is highly recommended that you should consider posting more and more stuff on your blog as the time passes by.

There are a few methods that can make your blog get loads of traffic. You may or may not be familiar with article directories. But in order to get a very decent count of traffic to your website or blog you must consider articles to be submitted to different websites or blog at that is called submitting articles to different directories.

Now I will give you an example on how to use article directories for your blog promotion. The first step is to get accounts on different websites like ezinearticles, freearticlesubmission etc. after that Suppose you have written five articles a week, each 350 words long with a couple of links. Submit these five articles by the end of every week to at least 3 different directories. Then by the end of the month you will have 60 articles (on different directories) with 120 links to your blog, and if you are consistent and keep on writing for about an year you will have 720 articles with 1440 links to your blog, amazing! isn't it???

If that many links are directed to your blog I can assure you, you are going to have your blog rank among the top ten pages of Google for your particular genre.

By using social networking websites like Facebook make a page for your blog and put highlights of your blog on it and try to update it regularly. Add friends of friends and invite them to be a part of that page or at least join your page.

Secondly Link exchange is also very important for every blog and website since it allows you to share web links of your friends and thus, as a result you get the desired targeted traffic that you are looking for. Link exchange makes it easy for search engines such as Google, Altavista, Mamma, Bing and many others to crawl to your web pages. It works on the principle that how many websites are directing links to your blog or website. The more websites and blogs directing towards your blog the higher you ranked in the SEO ranking and consequently the more traffic you get.

Another Thing that I would like to share with you is that according to a local survey websites and blogs that have light background and a dark highlighted text attract more people to read what they have it as a content of the blog or website. So as I mentioned in my recent posts try different backgrounds and templates for your website or blog in order to get the best for your blog/website. I personally recommend you to have light color background (Light gray, sky blue, or even white) for your blog because the black text written on the light background is prominent and is easily readable by the visitors and subscribers.Lastly make your every piece of written articles count use your comments referring your blog.

Viral marketing is used to describe when a product or advertisement spreads very quickly around the internet. Something that "goes viral" has the potential to reach millions of people within a few days. It is called viral because it acts and spread the same way a virus does.

Look at the common flu virus. Once one person gets it, they can pass it on to more people. Then each of those people pass it on to more people. It keeps spreading out and soon everyone has the flu.

In marketing it works the same way. Let's look at an example. I find a funny video on YouTube and create a page on my site for it. I then send out an email to my friends. Five of my friends come to my site. So we are starting with five people. Now each of those friends then tells five friends. Now 25 new people have come to my site. Then each of those 25 people tell 5 people. That brings the total up to 125 new people. And once again each of them tells 5 people. Now 625 new people headed to my site. If they each told 5 people, that would bring my 3125 more visitors. And just one more. They tell five people and I get 15625 new visitors to my site.

I hope you see the huge potential here. You can quickly reach a huge number of people. Each of those people is a potential customer for you. Just imagine if each person in my example told 10 people. Here is something for you to think about. I recently read that the average Facebook user has 137 friends. So if they told each of their friends how many visitors do you think you would get to your website. You traffic stats would be off the charts.

Now that you understand how implementing viral advertising can get free traffic to a website, I'm sure you are wondering what kinds of things have the potential to "go viral." Unfortunately, you can never be sure what will go viral until you try it. I have had some videos I thought would go viral, and then nothing happened. While I have seen a couple of reports that I thought weren't all that good literally spread all over the internet.

There are many things that have the potential to go viral. Ebooks, videos, flash games, articles, news items, and gossip can all can go viral and drive free traffic to your website. There are many ways of building backup links. One of the best ways is to present information that is unique and updated. Updating your blog is extremely important. It requires 1 hour of your daily routine and can make you handsome money if not the whole month income.Make a difference between your blog and any other blog of the same niche by creating some backup links that are also updated every now and then. Make your blog informative in a manner that it supports the facts and share other related material to its users as well. In that way it will make it easy for people to link with your page. Consider writing an ebook of your posts and provide it free to your visitors and followers. I will make sure to write about this ebook style of getting traffic in detail sometime.

To make a link exchange it is highly important to connect to those people who are blogging on the same niche that you are. It is very important to keep adding content regularly. This is the tip that most of the people you would see be giving to you as the basics for getting traffic. To get people to visit your site, you need to go out and invite them, ask them to check out your blog. Here's is my experience of blogging for "The Time Waste Show":

a) Browse blogs on the similar niche and content and comment on their posts. When you comment don't forget to add your blog's URL in the signature. If your comment is relevant and catchy, readers of that blog may come check out yours too.

b) Approach other bloggers for a link exchange, this is best done with a friendly email. Introduce yourself, write a line or two about your blog, include your URL and offer the possibility of a link exchange. A link exchange is where you add their web address to your site on a page or section called "links" and they do the same for you.

c) Comment on blog posts.By commenting on others blog you may get attention of the people why visit the blog as well as the attention of the owner of the blog, again the idea is same comment should be catchy easy to read, comprehensive and informative at the same time.

d) Joining forums related to your blog is also an effective way to bring some more traffic to your website. If you're a writer, join forums and conversations for writers. Now that you have followed my first tip let's move on to the next tip. Every blog or a website needs to have a decent, unique and catchy title. As in this case our bog title is tips come fast which I believe is quite a catchy title. As they say "A book is judged by its Title". If you are planning to make a website or blog that is related to technology and gadgets your title should be something like "the tech blog" or "the tech guru" or may be "the tech expert". It is quite important that you have a unique and a decent name that relates to your blog. You may select a title that don't reflects your blog content but ultimately you will lose the creditability and respect that you should have in order to proceed further. Many times we come across blog titles that don't have any connection to the content of the blog but still getting views, this is something we call luck but the users, followers and subscribers of that blog won't remain loyal, and why should they be? As a matter of fact, you are providing them with some cheap content or scam in the name of unique blog title. That's how many bloggers lose their viewers as the time passes by. The best thing you can do to your blog is to ask a few blog experts or any other professional from this field about the title. Make a list of 5-10 titles that you think define your content then ask someone who is in the same field and have some experience. Add catchy phrase or words in the description of your blog. The first and the best tip that I can give you as a starter is "Be yourself". As you might be thinking what could be the first think you are looking to concentrate after getting the domain? Here's the answer. Starting a website by hiring a web developer is not just all. It is considered to be the first step for your website but in reality you have done nothing and to get started it is extremely important that you should follow your dreams. You should make the website that you think you can follow up to otherwise it is useless to spend a few bucks before setting up the mind about the content that you will upload to your website.

As a matter of fact it is all important to know what your plans are? Ask yourself questions before hiring any web developer. For your convenience I will show you my experience and the questions that I've asked myself

What is my niche?
How much money do I have to spend on it at this time?
Will that be worth it?
Will I be able to update my website every now and then?

and my personal experience tells me that the answer to all this questions lies in my mind that is if I follow what I want to do then there is and will be no one who could stop me.
