Honeymoon Hot Spot: Aqua Luxury Suites, Greece

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Tue, 30 Oct 2012 17:19:00 +0000

Shame on me, I know. I feel like it's been just a few days since I blogged last- and boy was I wrong! Being busy definitely is a good thing, but I am excited to start sharing some more wedding content! I figured what better way to do so then with some gorgeous pictures from Aqua Luxury Suites!

Hayley Paige Interview on JLM Couture

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Mon, 23 Jul 2012 15:36:00 +0000

I loved this interview on the JLM Couture blog Aisle Style and needed to share! Her describing words on her collections are so inspiring and are like a breath of fresh air. Hope you all enjoy!

Q: This (inspiration) wall is pretty amazing. What else inspires you when your designing?

Hayley: From a theoretical standpoint, enthusiasm, creative magnetism, and desire to express an aesthetic that would hook, line, and sink the utmost fun, fresh, and feminine of brides are my biggest motivators. From an artistic standpoint however, I keep it simple: love, life, and the freedom to charm.

Q: How would you describe your gowns and the type of bride who would love them?

The Hayley Paige collection is an opportunity to embrace the uber sweet and edgy spectrums of femininity.I fully embrace my fetish for sweet texture. I love unexpected pairings of point d’esprit, hand-appliqued lace, and sheer elements of temptation. Unexpected, yet alluring juxtapositions such as soft and strong, twinkle and matte, and modern and organic are my go-to details. I strive to be known for my execution in balancing fanciful with polished.

The Hayley Paige bride is fresh and a little quirky, but cultured with a confident and charming sense of self. She is drawn to feminine silhouettes, with hints of allurement and sweet surprises. Charisma is key in executing a dress that emits each bride’s gorgeous personality and enthusiasm. One of my favorite reviews thus far mentioned how my “zest” in character garners an engaging stylishness and distinctive sound bite.

Q: If you weren’t a JLM Couture wedding gown designer, what would you be?

Hayley: A reconstructive surgeon. I paired my studies in design at Cornell University with premed. I am particularly attracted to the creative parallels between art and science.

Q: Words to live by:

Hayley: Love, laughter, and happily ever after.

Malibu Wedding

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Sat, 07 Jul 2012 16:05:00 +0000

There was no better way for me to come to blogging after a near month hiatus, than with this wedding. It was just too good.

Beth Helmstetter is a genius. Plain and simple. Her work is amazing, always. I know there are over 30 images in this post, but there are more to see here. I was so overwhelmed (in the greatest way possible) with all the gorgeous details that were so perfectly placed in this wedding. Wouldn't you agree?

Over the past few years, my paper obsession has steadily (ok, feverishly) grown. Anything letterpress can do no wrong, while lined envelopes and gorgeous patterns have completely stolen my heart. I came across these amazing photos on the Southern Weddings blog today and needless to say, am so jealous that I wasn't able to be there to take in all this paper perfection myself. But thankfully we have people like Cyn Kain who's photos make you feel as though you didn't even miss a beat.

Event Favorites

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Tue, 15 May 2012 18:51:00 +0000

As I was chatting with Mémé LaFLEUR (an amazing online clothing line for brave working women- which will be launching this Fall) late in the day yesterday, my creative wheels started spinning. How many events have you attend in your life & left saying "that was amazing!", or "if they only had done this..."? What are some of your event favorites? Do you like "create your own" stations? Or maybe you prefer passed drinks and h'ordeuvres? Whatever your heart desires, we want to hear!

Dream Kitchen

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Thu, 10 May 2012 17:11:00 +0000

I've always had a vision of what my dream kitchen would look like... and it was all just swept away in a matter of seconds when I came across this picture. I have never scene a back splash like that before and feel as though I have just got to have it!

When you picture your dream kitchen (in your dream home with your dreamy husband/fiance of course) what do you see? Is it suddenly starting to look a lot like this photo?

Better Homes and Gardens

Honeymoon Hot Spot: Petit St. Vincent Private Island

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Wed, 09 May 2012 16:57:00 +0000

Now this is a place I can relax! The cottages are adorable and manage to feel like a home away from home (very far from home, but still). It feels much more intimate and sweet as opposed to your usual hotel chain that has hundreds of people there at any given time. I could really see a couple enjoying their honeymoon here at Petit St. Vincent!

Gorgeous. Fashionable. Candid.

These are just a few of the words that come to mind when I look at photos taken by KT Merry Photography.

What is not to love about this shoot? I love the scenery and outfit changes, and it looks like it couldn't have been a more perfect day for taking photos. Beautiful couple, and beautiful images.

Journelle Summer Favorites

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Tue, 08 May 2012 17:18:00 +0000

If you've read this blog before, you have probably notice my love for neutrals. These four pieces are no exception. If you ask me, these are honeymoon essentials. Beige, white, and ivory on tan skin? With the very obvious bridal feel to boot. These are my new honeymoon favorites!

1. Hanro Collette Soft Cup Bra and Tanga Pant: $151

2. Elle Macpherson Obsidian Maria short robe: $195

3. Lascivious Kitty Cupless Bra and Ouvert: $200

4. Hanky Panky Peek-a-boo Lace Tie Set: $67

Elizabeth Messina, Engagement Photography

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Thu, 03 May 2012 18:02:00 +0000

Don't you wish that all engagement photos could be as beautiful and as stylish as this one? Elizabeth Messina photographed this lovely couple (actually, she is Amanda of 100 Layer Cake!) and it has me going back through her archives for months and months. Her photos are flawless and the setup could not be more perfect. These two look so comfortable in the camera and I think that is the key to any amazing photo.

White Spaces

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Thu, 03 May 2012 16:37:00 +0000

I'm really loving this white space. I feel when a couple first moves in together, it takes some time to discover a style and ambiance that is right for the two of you. This space is perfect with the accents of the ottoman's, chairs, and pillows. As your style evolves and changes, so can these smaller details.

Erin Hearts Court, Soft Pink and Silver Wedding

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Wed, 02 May 2012 19:46:00 +0000

And so, my Erin Hearts Court photography obsession continues. They take amazing wedding photos, always.

The bride and bridal party are stunning, and the combination of the silver with the soft pink is one of my favorites. They are so clean and fresh looking together, I just can't get enough!

The natural light is amazing and the location (clearly!) is gorgeous. Seemed like a perfect wedding day if I do say so myself.

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Mon, 30 Apr 2012 22:39:00 +0000

I loved these invitations that Edyta Photography captured for Cheree Berry Paper. The color schemes, the creativity, and the patterns are all perfection. Which invitation would you prefer?

Honeymoon Hot Spot: Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort and Spa

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Fri, 27 Apr 2012 16:05:00 +0000

Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort and Spa

Did you know that the Seychelles was once thought to the be original Eden? I can see why.

This resort and spa strikes me a bit different than most others, but it could quiet possibly be the Seychelles in general. It seems to be the kind of place you only read about but never travel to. Almost surreal. All I know is that any couple who travels here will certainly have a once in a life time experience.

Mike and Sara, New Jersey Wedding

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Thu, 26 Apr 2012 16:08:00 +0000

I am so excited to share these pictures. Mike and Sara are two of the closest people to me, and I don't think this day could have been any more special. Dear friend Alice Gao took these photos (aren't they amazing?) and if I had to choose... the last one is my absolute favorite. I don't know exactly what it is about it, but it just seems so candid and sweet.

This church couldn't have been more breath taking. Sara looked stunning and her gown and veil went perfectly with the feel of the day. And I must say, the grey tuxes were perfection.

I was so happy to be apart of their day, and look forward to many more happy days with them in my life.

xoxo

I'm not sure what I love more about this photo shoot... the fact that it looks like it pretty much took up an entire day, or the fact that they made a pit stop for some Stella's. I love that it shows them in so many different elements. Erin and Courtney always do such an amazing job.

Beautiful Florida Wedding by KT Merry Photography

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Tue, 10 Apr 2012 20:41:00 +0000

The Florida-cool decor is what has me sold on this gorgeous beach wedding. KT Merry Photography always does such a fabulous job of capturing such amazing details and picture perfect couples. Not to mention, those donuts. An absolute wedding must if I do say so myself!

March (to be quite frank) has been one crazy emotional month. There is a lot to look forward to and a lot that is happening.

This past weekend was the much anticipated wedding of 2 people who are so near and dear to me. I can't wait to share all the amazing photos courtesy of Alice Gao. Here is a little sneak peak!

A wedding after my own heart. The neutral tones with that touch a blue is stunning. Not to mention, I am such a sucker for all white bouquets. Caroline Tran did an amazing job at capturing all of the beautiful details- I could look at these photos all day (and I just might!)

Honeymoon Hot Spot: Riad Joya, Morocco

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Tue, 06 Mar 2012 17:59:00 +0000

Now this is a truly breathtaking Moroccan hotel. It has everything I look for and love, not to mention- that gold tub is to die for. This is definitely an amazing honeymoon destination.
