&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div closure_uid_mrpmlw="157"&gt;O Douglas DC-8-33 foi entregue à PANAIR DO BRASIL em 21 de Março de 1961, registrado como PP-PDS, batizado de "Bandeirante Manuel de Borba Gato". Com "Pouso Forçado" da Panair, este equipamento foi transferido para a VARIG em julho de 1965, que assumiu as rotas da PANAIR, operadas com o PDS. O PP-PDS permaneceu com a VARIG até Outubro de 1975.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div closure_uid_mrpmlw="158"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Em 14 de Junho de 1989, pela Jet Aviation Components &amp;amp; Aircraft. Em 15 de agosto de 1990, foi repassado à LAC Colombia; arrendado em março de 1991 para Tocumen Air Cargo, matriculado HP-1166. Construído no ando de 1941 para o&amp;nbsp;transporte de passageiros na aviação civil. Nas&amp;nbsp;Forças Armadas foi denominado&amp;nbsp;C-57. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Originalmente adquirido pela&amp;nbsp;PanAm, matriculado&amp;nbsp;NC34910. Logo depois, foi integrado&amp;nbsp;à frota da Panair do Brasil,&amp;nbsp;sendo o primeiro de um total de catorze. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
A Panair preferia os Lockheeds aos DC-2/DC-3 uma vez que estes navegavam a velocidades um pouco superiores. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Após seus dias de glória na Panair o PP-PBK foi vendido para a empresa Viação Aerea Bahia, registrado como PP-BHA.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

História: &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Entregue novo a Panair com a matricula F-WJAK (SUD AVIATION), em 19 de julho de 1962. Batizado Bandeirante "Domingos Rodrigues de Carvalho"&amp;nbsp;. OBS: A matricula SUD "F-WJAK", foi repetida no PP-PDZ (cn 131/128), uma vez que o PDU sofreu W/O. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Após o "Pouso Forçado" da PANAIR, foi transferido para o Governo Brasileiro, mantendo o mesmo prefixo, PP-PDV.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;
Finalmente, em 01/10/1966, foi entregue a CRUZEIRO DO SUL, com a mesma matricula. &lt;br /&gt;
Em 23 de dezembro de 1973, o PDV, foi a "written off" em Manaus em face de aquaplanagem durante o pouso. A Panair do Brasil operou, ao todo, 15 modelos Lockheed Constellations (um dos quais rematriculado, para um total de 16). Todos eles vieram da "mãe" PAN AM. Este originalmente recebeu a matricula N88848 e foi batizado de "Clipper Golden Gate". Na Panair do Brasil, recebeu o nome de Bandeirante "Domingos Alfonso Sertão". &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Todos os Constellations da Panair foram usados na travessia do Atlântico, nas rotas do Rio de Janeiro para Paris, Londres, Roma, e depois Cairo e Istambul. Adquirido novo pela PANAIR DO BRASIL, empregado nas rotas internacionais da empresa. Foi alugado à TAP PORTUGAL, mantendo a mesma matricula e repintado (foto), com o slogan "PANAIR - TAP". Após o "assassinato" da Panair, sua frota foi "entregue" a várias companhias. Entre elas, a pouco conhecida "ASAS". a quem coube o Lockheed L.149-46-26 Constellation - Panair, registro PP-PDH (cn 2050). &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Sucateado, desmontado e vendido a preço de ferro velho. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Um pouco da História dos Constellation's: &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
A frota de modelos Constellation L-049 teve quatro aparelhos sucateados: &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
os de prefixos PP-PCB/PCF/PCR e PDD. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Outros quatro foram perdidos em acidentes: os de prefixos PP-PCG/PDA/PDC e PDE. Já os modelos da série L-149 não tiveram melhor sorte. O PP-PDJ caiu em Assunção, Paraguai. O PP-PDH, vendido à empresa Asas, não chegou a voar, sendo também desmanchado, vendido a preço de ferro velho. Foram sucateados quatro aparelhos: os de prefixos PP-PDF/PDI/PDP e PDK (este, após ser 'reimportado', tornou-se PP-PDQ). O PP-PDG foi vendido à Arruda, empresa de carga baseada na Região Norte, mas acidentou-se no Acre em 1972, após haver sido abastecido com querosene, em vez de gasolina. Em seus 35 anos de existência a PANAIR DO BRASIL contabilizou em sua frota o total de 16 Lockheed Constellation, modelos L.049 e L.149: o PP-PCF, foi o primeiro recebido. Em 03 de abril de 1946, o PP-PCF, batizado de "Bandeirante Manuel de Borba Gato" (outro diferencial PANAIR, batizando suas aeronaves com o nome dos bandeirantes desbravadores da nova terra chamada BRASIL), inaugurou a primeira linha transoceânica para a Europa, sob a bandeira da pioneira PANAIR DO BRASIL. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
O vôo partiu do Rio de Janeiro e efetuou as seguintes escalas: Recife, Dakar, Lisboa, Paris e Londres, sendo este, por sinal, o primeiro avião internacional a pousar no recém inaugurado aeroporto britânico. Este equipamento foi entregue novo a PAN AM, em 22 de março de 1946, matriculado NC88849. Apesar do registro americano o "Connie" NC88849 NUNCA voou pela PAN AM. Foi diretamente para a então subsidiária PANAIR DO BRASIL, com que permaneceu até ser destruído em data de 14 de julho de 1962, no aeroporto do Rio de Janeiro (GIG). &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Possuiu dois "títulos": Bandeirante Antonio Rodrigues Velho (foto) e Bandeirante Manuel de Borba Gato. Em julho 1962, foi retirado de uso e armazenado na base do Rio de Janeiro. Em 14 de Junho de 1989, pela Jet Aviation Components &amp;amp; Aircraft. Em 15 de agosto de 1990, foi repassado à LAC Colombia; arrendado em março de 1991 para Tocumen Air Cargo, matriculado HP-1166. Finalmente, arrendado à Export Air, em 20 de fevereiro de 1992... até ser totalmente deteriorado em IQT.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Em seus 35 anos de existência a PANAIR DO BRASIL contabilizou em sua frota o total de 16 Lockheed Constellation, modelos L.049 e L.149: o PP-PCF, foi o primeiro recebido. Em 03 de abril de 1946, o PP-PCF, batizado de "Bandeirante Manuel de Borba Gato" (outro diferencial PANAIR, batizando suas aeronaves com o nome dos bandeirantes desbravadores da nova terra chamada BRASIL), inaugurou a primeira linha transoceânica para a Europa, sob a bandeira da pioneira PANAIR DO BRASIL. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
O vôo partiu do Rio de Janeiro e efetuou as seguintes escalas: Recife, Dakar, Lisboa, Paris e Londres, sendo este, por sinal, o primeiro avião internacional a pousar no recém inaugurado aeroporto britânico. Este equipamento foi entregue novo a PAN AM, em 22 de março de 1946, matriculado NC88849. Apesar do registro americano o "Connie" NC88849 NUNCA voou pela PAN AM. Foi diretamente para a então subsidiária PANAIR DO BRASIL, com que permaneceu até ser destruído em data de 14 de julho de 1962, no aeroporto do Rio de Janeiro (GIG). &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Possuiu dois "títulos": Bandeirante Antonio Rodrigues Velho (foto) e Bandeirante Manuel de Borba Gato. Em julho 1962, foi retirado de uso e armazenado na base do Rio de Janeiro. Em seus 35 anos de existência a PANAIR DO BRASIL contabilizou em sua frota o total de 16 Lockheed Constellation, modelos L.049 e L.149: o PP-PCF, foi o primeiro recebido. Em 03 de abril de 1946, o PP-PCF, batizado de "Bandeirante Manuel de Borba Gato" (outro diferencial PANAIR, batizando suas aeronaves com o nome dos bandeirantes desbravadores da nova terra chamada BRASIL), inaugurou a primeira linha transoceânica para a Europa, sob a bandeira da pioneira PANAIR DO BRASIL. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
O vôo partiu do Rio de Janeiro e efetuou as seguintes escalas: Recife, Dakar, Lisboa, Paris e Londres, sendo este, por sinal, o primeiro avião internacional a pousar no recém inaugurado aeroporto britânico. Este equipamento foi entregue novo a PAN AM, em 22 de março de 1946, matriculado NC88849. Apesar do registro americano o "Connie" NC88849 NUNCA voou pela PAN AM. Foi diretamente para a então subsidiária PANAIR DO BRASIL, com que permaneceu até ser destruído em data de 14 de julho de 1962, no aeroporto do Rio de Janeiro (GIG). &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Possuiu dois "títulos": Bandeirante Antonio Rodrigues Velho (foto) e Bandeirante Manuel de Borba Gato. Em julho 1962, foi retirado de uso e armazenado na base do Rio de Janeiro. Nesta época, nos idos de 1930, todos os Commodore, vindos da NYRBA, possuíam a matrícula inicial P-BDA_: as quatro primeiras lçetras eram iguais, apenas a última era diferente.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Assim, posso prezumir que este equipamento estava em manutenção e pintura, podendo ser qualquer um destes:&lt;br /&gt;P-BDAA (cn 2) - re-reg. PP-PAA;&lt;br /&gt;P-BDAE (cn 5) - re-reg. PP-PAE;&lt;br /&gt;P-BDAG (cn 6) - re-reg. PP-PAG;&lt;br /&gt;P-BDAH (cn 9) - re-reg. PP-PAH;&lt;br /&gt;P-BDAI (cn 10) - re-reg. Em 03 de abril de 1946, o PP-PCF, batizado de "Bandeirante Manuel de Borba Gato" (outro diferencial PANAIR, batizando suas aeronaves com o nome dos bandeirantes desbravadores da nova terra chamada BRASIL), inaugurou a primeira linha transoceânica para a Europa, sob a bandeira da pioneira PANAIR DO BRASIL.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;O vôo partiu do Rio de Janeiro e efetuou as seguintes escalas: Recife, Dakar, Lisboa, Paris e Londres, sendo este, por sinal, o primeiro avião internacional a pousar no recém inaugurado aeroporto britânico. Este equipamento foi entregue novo a PAN AM, em 22 de março de 1946, matriculado NC88849. Apesar do registro americano o "Connie" NC88849 NUNCA voou pela PAN AM. Foi diretamente para a então subsidiária PANAIR DO BRASIL, com que permaneceu até ser destruído em data de 14 de julho de 1962, no aeroporto do Rio de Janeiro (GIG).&lt;br /&gt;Possuiu dois "títulos": Bandeirante Antonio Rodrigues Velho (foto) e Bandeirante Manuel de Borba Gato. Em julho 1962, foi retirado de uso e armazenado na base do Rio de Janeiro. Com destino a Lisboa, com escala em Recife, a tripulação executava uma aproximação visual para a pista 15 do Aeroporto de Guararapes, no Recife. Voando abaixo da altitude recomendada, o DC-7 acabou colidindo com um pequeno morrote, o único em toda a região, a aproximadamente 3 km da cabeceira da pista. Ex Pan Am, matricula NC88862, destruído em Porto Alegre (POA), em 28/07/1950.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Um pouco de sua história:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A Panair inicia, na década de 40, sua expansão mundial. A rota para Roma teve inicio em 3 de outubro de 1946, quando o quadrimotor Lockeed L.049 Constellation PP-PCG da Panair do Brasil, fez sua primeira travessia atlântica rumo ao aeroporto Leonardo da Vinci, com escalas em Recife, Dakar e Lisboa, numa viagem de mais de 20 horas à velocidade média de 480 km.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;O Costellation transportava 46 passageiros e 10 tripulantes, dos quais um era também encarregado de manter aberta a porta principal da aeronave na fase de taxiamento, para ventilar o seu interior até a decolagem, pois o ar condicionado era ainda algo precário e funcionava razoavelmente somente em pleno vôo.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Em 28 de julho de 1950, o PP-PCG, pilotado por Eduardo Martins de Oliveira – o famoso Edu, chefe do Clube dos Cafajestes do Rio de Janeiro – decolou do Galeão em direção a Porto Alegre. Com 43 passageiros e sete tripulantes a bordo, quando atingiu a vertical de Porto Alegre, o comandante avisou à torre do Aerodrómo de São João que estava pronto para aterrissar. Mas a pista do futuro Aeroporto Salgado Filho (este importante político da época faleceu neste acidente) era de terra e não suportava o peso de Constellations e Douglas DC-7. Por isso, o PP-PCG foi desviado para a Base Aérea de Gravataí – de pista asfaltada mas sem instumentos de aproximação.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;O Constellation fez duas tentativas de pouso mas em ambas arremeteu, até colidir com o Morro das Cabras. Não houve sobreviventes. Os 50 ocupantes (7 tripulantes e 43 passageiros) perderam suas vidas.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Este registro fotográfico foi "garimpado" na net. Em 03 de abril de 1946, o PP-PCF, batizado de "Bandeirante Manuel de Borba Gato" (outro diferencial PANAIR, batizando suas aeronaves com o nome dos bandeirantes desbravadores da nova terra chamada BRASIL), inaugurou a primeira linha transoceânica para a Europa, sob a bandeira da pioneira PANAIR DO BRASIL. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;O vôo partiu do Rio de Janeiro e efetuou as seguintes escalas: Recife, Dakar, Lisboa, Paris e Londres, sendo este, por sinal, o primeiro avião internacional a pousar no recém inaugurado aeroporto britânico. Este equipamento foi entregue novo a PAN AM, em 22 de março de 1946, matriculado NC88849. Apesar do registro americano o "Connie" NC88849 NUNCA voou pela PAN AM. Foi diretamente para a então subsidiária PANAIR DO BRASIL, com que permaneceu até ser destruído em data de 14 de julho de 1962, no aeroporto do Rio de Janeiro (GIG). &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;Possuiu dois "títulos": Bandeirante Antonio Rodrigues Velho (foto) e Bandeirante Manuel de Borba Gato. Em julho 1962, foi retirado de uso e armazenado na base do Rio de Janeiro.
