Cherry Cheesecake Dip

This is a great dish to take to a friends house! Simple to make and yummy tasting! I like to serve it in this divided dish with Vanilla Wafers and graham crackers. You can also serve it on a plate with the cheesecake in the middle and grahams or wafers all around the dip. The dip is firm enough to stay in place. I did not like the plate method. After sitting a little while, the grahams would get soggy from touching the dip. I prefer the divided dish.

Recipe:
1 box No Bake Cheesecake mix or Cheesecake pudding mix
1 container cool whip
heavy cream
1 can cherry pie filling

Mix the cheesecake mix and whip cream together then stir in heavy cream to desired consistency. Put in dish, add cherry topping and chill for at least 1 hour. Add grahams or wafers and serve.

Homemade Scoreboard

My son turned 11 yesterday. On his wish list was a score board for backyard wiffle ball field. My husband and started thinking of how we could make this happen. Then we remembered an old chalk board we had stored in our shed. My husband bought it at a sale 13 years ago. It used to hang in a school.

He bought pin striping for a car, some spray paint and lettering. My husband and daughter spent an hour or two in the garage and came up with this! I love the advertising!

My son was thrilled!!!

Patriotic Fruit Tray

My family is going to a picnic today and I wanted to take something yummy but stay in a patriotic theme. I decided on a patriotic fruit tray! I covered a cookie try in foil and then used....
1 pint blueberries
2 1/2 cans pineapple chunks
1/2 of a watermelon
I kept the blueberries in their clear package so they would stay neatly in the corner. I then alternated strips of watermelon and pineapple chunks to make the stripes on the flag. Total cost was $7.28.

How to Remove Toothpaste Stains

Don't you hate when you are dressed and redy to go and you drop a spot of toothpaste on your clothing? Here are a few tips to get them out.....

1. Move fast! Especially if you are using a whitening toothpaste like I do! It may bleach your clothing!

2. Dip a washcloth into warm water, then use it to scrape off any extra toothpaste.

3. Mix a teaspoon of clear dishwasher soap with a cup of warm water, then rub it on the stain with a clean washcloth. Rinse.

4. If I need to wear the same piece of clothing again right away, I dry the spot with a hair dryer.

Home made shower cleaner

I have calcium deposits on my shower door. I made this home made cleaner yesterday morning and and heavily sprayed down the entire shower at 8am. At 10:30 I sprayed it again. I let it set while I went to work and then to the middle school basketball game to watch my daughter cheer. I came home, did homework with my son and made and ate dinner with the family. I sprayed the shower one more time and cleaned the shower. I could not believe how clean the shower was .... it looked brand new! BUT the best part was how much calcium came off the shower door! I highly recommend this recipe!!! AND... it was cheap too!!!

Recipe:

1 empty spray bottle (i used an old Windex bottle)

fill 3/4 of bottle with white vinegar

fill the rest with Dawn dish soap

Teach your kid to be their own person!

Who doesn't love free coupons. I am always on the hunt for free coupons. Once in a while, there is one in the Sunday coupons. Many months, I find one in my All You (1-year) magazine. Sometimes there is even a rebate to do to get a free coupon. I got all these free coupons last week......

My DD got these in school in teen gift pack......

This one was sent to me when I wrote to Nabisco and complained about all the cookies in the pack being smashed in a million pieces.

My CVS Deals.......

This morning I headed out to CVS for my weekly CVS deals. Here is the scoop.....

This coupon printed out when I scanned my CVS card at the machine right inside the front door. It is blurry but it says it is good for $1.00 off and CVS brand hair care item.

That meant, this shampoo was free!!!!

These are all the items I bought today..........

I needed the dishwasher detergent and I did not have a coupon so I actually had to pay $3.00 for this bottle. I know, how could I be so unprepared?

Right Guard was on sale for $2.69. I had a coupon for $3.00 off 2 (that I printed from coupons.com over here -------> ) and you got $2 in ECB for each one your bought (limit 2).

Schick razor trial pack was $1.29 and I had a $2 coupon from the Sunday paper. The cashier took off the $1.29 to make them free!

The 2 first aid items were $1 each. I had a coupon that printed from the CVS machine that was $1 off 2 CVS brand first aid items.

Kotex was $4.99. I had a $1.00 off coupon and you got $4.99 in ECB when you buy 1.

Zyrtec was $18.99. I had a $4 off coupon from the Sunday paper and you get $7.00 ECB when you buy 1. It made this pretty cheap and I really needed it. ACHOO!

The trial size J&J baby shampoo was free after a $1 home mailer coupon (They send me stuff like this from time to time after my DH told them how much we love their Head to Toe Baby Wash)

The Reach Floss was $1.99. I had a $1 off printed coupon that I printed this morning. You also get $2 in ECB when you buy 1. I made money on this deal!

The baby asprin was another thing I needed but had no coupon for. It was only 79 cents though.

Before coupons, this was all $40.41. I had $19.18 in coupons and ECB's. I paid $21.23 for all this and left with $17.99 in ECB's to use another day. Not bad when the Zyrtec alone was $18.99.
