Actress Sonam Kapoor, who is the cosmetic product company L'Oreal's new Indian brand ambassador, is of the view that Aishwary Rai Bachchan can't represent the youth anymore.

On Sunday, while attending a star-studded party thrown by L O'real in Mumbai, the Delhi-6 girl spoke her heart out on brand endorsement and on replacing Ash who was the international face of a whole range of L'Oreal products.

Now, Ash will reportedly only be seen on anti-wrinkle and anti-aging products while Sonam will endorse products which will target the young audience. When Sonam was asked why the company roped her in replacing Aishwarya, the doe-eyed beauty replied, "I think we belong to two different generations and that's why L'Oreal has asked me to be a part of their brand." She was quite candid about the fact that Ash's declining appeal.

Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty will join American R&B sensation Akon as he sings his Grammy award winning "Smack That" at the closing ceremony of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Wanderers in Johannesberg on Sunday (May 24) night.

Organisers also said Katrina Kaif will join a troupe of Indian and South African dancers led by award-winning choreographer Shiamak Davar to perform the Oscar-winning A.R. Rahman song "Jai Ho" from "Slumdog Millionaire".

The two actors will be the only ones performing at the finale, ending widespread speculation here that a bevy of Bollywood beauties would feature at the closing ceremony.

Caribbean music legend Eddy Grant will perform the ever popular "Walking on Sunshine" and his anti-apartheid hit "Gimme Hope Jo'anna", which became an anthem in the days when the white minority government of South Africa strictly regulated everything from music and song to social gatherings.

The five-week IPL will end on a high note for Shilpa performance-wise, but this will be clouded by the fact that her Rajasthan Royals team has no hope of retaining its champion status from the inaugural series last year.

Other highlights on the night will include a perfectly synchronised piece featuring renowned percussionist Shivamani and a group of Indian and South African drummers.

Apart from the various musical acts, the crowd will also be introduced to the Miss Bollywood IPL South Africa finalists, culminating with the crowning of the winner of the beauty competition, who will get a guided tour through Bollywood as one of her prizes.

This apart, 1,500 flying lanterns will be lit and released while a thrilling pyrotechnics show using several thousand rounds of fireworks will light up the Johannesburg skyline as final awards signal the end of an unprecedented cricket event which was keenly taken up by locals, who also opened their hearts to the thousands of Indians who came to watch the series.

The 62nd Cannes Film Festival may be one Aishwarya Rai would like to forget. Even before her alleged rivalry with youngster Sonam Kapoor, there is yet another newcomer who has given the former Miss World a cold shoulder.

Reports claim that while at Cannes, Ash learnt that Hrithik Roshan and his Kites co-star Barbara Mori were staying at the same hotel as her and hubby Abhishek.

In a gesture of friendship, Ash went up to Mori's room to say hello.

To her surprise, not only did Mori not reciprocate her gesture, she instead barely spoke for a minute and then excused herself saying she is late for a performance.

Hrithik, having worked with Ash a few times, realised that Barbara's indifference would have hurt Ash and he reportedly tried to make amends, but to no avail as the damage had already been done.

But we'll have to wait and watch whether her 'Love Aaj'- Ranbir Kapoor will be a mere spectator to this exciting event. That was match one.

Match two brings you a special celebrity cricket match with teams headed by Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone which will be covered by the local and world journalists along the lines of Veteran (KAL) cricket team (1st & 2nd generations) Vs Novice (AAJ) cricket team (3rd and 4th generations).

"I'd never do a nude scene" - Kangna Ranaut

The forever-flighty Kangna Ranaut returned to Mumbai from a grueling month-long shooting of a Telugu film to horrifying rumours of how she had done a nude scene down South.

Kangna is enraged. "Nude? I'd never do a nude scene in my entire life even if someone makes me to do it at gun point. I come from a very conservative background. If my parents were to ever see that I've crossed the line of morality, they'd drag me back to Himachal. Yes, I've done aesthetically-shot pictures which reveal my physique. And why not? I've worked really hard on getting my body muscular and toned."

But nudes? "No way. I've never posed in the nude, never will, no matter how right the zeroes on the cheque are. I've an inbuilt censor code."

So how did these rumours of going 'all the way' start? "You tell me. Journalists started calling up my Telugu director Puri Jagannath in Hyderabad while we were shooting. He, poor man, was so scandalized he almost had a heart attack. Puri is one of the most successful and respected filmmakers of Telugu cinema."

Clarifying that there are no nude sequences in the Telugu film Kangna says, "Even the much-hyped 'nude' scene in Raaz 2was a hoax. I wore a body suit in the bath tub. I don't think taking off all of one's clothes is a cool thing to do."

Kangna is back in Mumbai for a couple of days only for costume and makeup trials for Ekta Kapoor's Once Upon A Time In Mumbai.

"I play the only glamour element in the otherwise-dark film. This would be my most glamorous role. My look has to go from the late 1960s to the 1970s."

Kangna's clothes are being done by Manoshi Nath who did the 'stylized' look on Dibakar Banerjee's Oye Lucky! Luck Oye!

Says Kangna, "The challenge in Ekta's film is to look glamorous without any body exposure. I think it's possible."

The actress has been proposed to get-go through a screen test in Los Angeles for a flick featuring TV Series Friends fame Actor Mathew Perry in lead role.

Sources have revealed that agents had met Kangana with their interests of inviting the fille for international projects. Once, the producers glimpsed through the spellbinding performance in her previous films, they went ‘Wordless’. Within fraction of minutes, she was buzzed up inviting her to LA. Kangana will be flying by end of this month or probably first week of June.

She’s doing double shifts — in tinseltown, it signifies that an actor has arrived. But Tamannaah Bhatia, the current toast of the Tamil

industry, prefers to play it cool even though she’s being chased by top film-makers.

Besides Ayan, her roster now reads of biggies like Paiyya with Karthi and Kandein Kaadhalai, the remake of Jab We Met, with Bharath.

“Right now, I’m focusing only on Kandein Kaadhalai,” says Tamannaah. “I’m in love with the script and have watched the original eight times. I’m also a huge fan of Kareena Kapoor,” she confesses. The actress also admits that comparisons between Kareena and her have already come her way. “In the beginning, I felt pressured about how I’d portray the popular character. But I decided I’d copy Kareena because we’re sticking to the original story,” she says. Tamannaah also tells us that except for the locations, everything else in Kandein..., including the styling, will be the same as the original.

And her co-star Bharath, she says, has already started behaving like Shahid! “He’s even looking like him, sporting those rimless glasses, jeans, tees and jackets. In fact, when we were doing the photoshoot for the film, Bharath even insisted that the songsof Jab We Met be played in the background,” laughs Tamannaah. A little-known known secret is that Imtiaz Ali, the director of JWM, even sent the Kandein... team a video clip for their mahurat, wishing them luck.

Meanwhile, the popular liplock sequence of the original will not feature in the Tamil version. “Yes, the kiss is not happening. It’s just an expression of love, but there are many other ways to portray that emotion,” she explains, adding that even sporting a bikini is a no-no for her.

While she’s non-controversial, Tamannaah has reportedly upset colleague Nayanthara as she replaced the glam girl in Paiyya. “That was a mutual decision between her and the producer. This happens all the time in the industry and if not me, somebody else would’ve done it,” she says.

As for heading to B-town, the actress’ project with the Barjatyas is on hold, “but I’m not in a hurry, because Telugu and Tamil are top priority,” says the Punjabi kudi.

It's been quite some time since we saw any girl-on-girl action in Bollywood, the last being Shabana Azmi and Nandita Das' brief lesbian act in Fire (1996).

Now, Lisa Ray will play a lesbian in not one but two movies -- I Can't Think Straight and The World Unseen. She is cast opposite Sheetal Seth in both films, directed by Shamim Sarif. Sarif, a lesbian herself, is married to her partner, Hanan Kattan. Kattan is producing both films.

I Can't Think Straight is a comedy about a half British, half Indian girl (Sheetal Seth), who falls for an Arab woman (Lisa). Sheetal, an Anglo-Indian actress, is best remembered for her English movies like Looking For Comedy In A Muslim Worldand ABCD.

While Sheetal's character falls for Lisa's in I Can't Think Straight, in The World Unseen, it's the other way round. Set in South Africa's apartheid movement in the 1950s, The World Unseen is about the lives of two women -- one, a docile housewife (Lisa), who falls for a free-spirited woman (Sheetal).
