They get excited by some "revolutionary" idea and jump straight into building a killer website, hiring a team, raising money, etc.<div><br /></div><div>No one will hear a tree falling in a forest - no one will come to a website, however great...unless there is a strong marketing effort to get traffic.  And, basically, there are only three ways to get traffic:</div><div><br /></div><div>1) SEM - you have to have a deep war chest and spend a lot on Google and Yahoo before you even know if it will work!</div><div><br /></div><div>2) SEO - hard to do in US since all the top spots are taken; easier to do in India - it is a landgrab and good land is still available!!</div><div><br /></div><div>3) Viral - IMHO, viral just happens and you look like a hero if it does - but you cannot count on it and it is almost impossible to make it happen on your own</div><div><br /></div><div>That leaves B2B - one deal with a big portal and you are the next Google! Cape Town is however more alluring - it was the stop on the way from Europe to India, the long awaited destination on a long and perilous journey. The <a href="http://www.cheaperthanhotels.co.za/South-Africa/Cape-Town/">hotels in Cape Town</a> are not as good but you can find decent ones by searching on the web.<br /><br />You might have not heard of Sandton. It is a very young municipality formed in 1969. A swinging nightlife and enough historical monuments to visit. Big Ben, Tower of London, Wimbledon are wonderful! I could stay here for months but the <a href="http://www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk/United-Kingdom/London/">London hotels</a> are too expensive. Fortunately, a friend had told me about a wonderful site where one can find all the top hotels at an unbelievable price. Ah, Scotland! Walking the Royal Mile or visiting the Edinburgh Castle takes one back centuries. Lot of great galleries and art museums to browse. <a href="http://www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk/United-Kingdom/Glasgow/">Glasgow Hotels</a> are smaller and nicer than <a href="http://www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk/United-Kingdom/London/">London Hotels</a> or <a href="http://www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk/United-Kingdom/Edinburgh/">Edinburgh Hotels</a> and definitely more affordable. Yes, the story was not really believable, the other actors were lame, Jiah Khan was irritating...but where else can you see Amitabh is a serious role, playing his age and emoting with his eyes more than his baritone voice?
